    This is a dangerous poll LOL  I love Chuck and Blair, I love their chemistry I love their banter I love when they are scheming or not scheming. Chuck reminds me a lot of TVD Damon, especially after Last Thursdays and this Mondays epi. Their girls hurt them and they rebel in the same way.

    how can you compare pacey to CHUCK? this is just so wrong.
    pacey witter is pretty much one of the most flawless men ever.
    and he is just as romantic as dan is.
    the dawson/joey relationship is like chair, they were always called 'soulmates' and how they 'belong to each other' but we all know how that ended ...

    Pacey did quite a few things that were dishonorable. Bad is bad. If you want to start digging into closets we can dig into Blairs, Serenas,Dans...everyone has done things in their past. Chuck like Pacey evolved into a better man. Learned,repented and moved forward learning from their past.

    Pacey is no Chuck ! Pacey had 3 girlfriend and he was totally involve in them. Plus, he loved Joey till the end. I think Dan is much more a Pacey than Chuck.

    Chuck is nothing like Damon; I'm a Delena fan, but I love Dair so idk. I think Damon has MORE of a right to be the way he is because he's a vampire. Chuck doesn't have that to fall back on. Damon and Chuck, imho, are nothing alike.

    i dont understand how people even comparing any of them to pacey :| first of all dan is no where near like pacey he is defo like dawson, and its the same thing dan and blair may be soulmates but there not meant to be together.. and i think all this poll shows you is that chair fans have given up after all shit for 5 seasons weve been through destroying chuck with jenny and hotel, to blair choosing him and letting him go every season and this one just leading him on.. she frankly should be alone and the gossip girl writers need to write amazing stories there ratings were awful 1.17 this week.. and thats because theyve made it all about ships.. whereas although everyone passionate about stelena or delena.. TVD is just good in general :) so people watch regardless of whose togetherrr

    I agree with you, both of them are at their worst. Dan is totally different than the Dan of season one and not in a good way, i never enjoyed Dan character on the show, but back in season 1/2 he was much more kinder and lovely to everyone. Right now i just see him being kind and worrying about Blair, but he had been with fights with Rufus, Nate and even Serena. Dan of season 1 would never do what Dan is doing with Serena.

    People say "Aaah, but Serena was with everyone as well and..." Guys, THIS is Serena. And now she had matured, i'm really liking this new Serena, focused on her work and her life. Dan, however, is more focused on his own interests and it's hard to find the little sparks of old and loavable Dan. He's totally ignoring the feelings of a girl that he once ploclaimed his love. I think for the history they have, the least he could have done was talked to Serena about it. 

    And how do i begin to explain Blair ? I don't want her with Chuck right now, i want her loving herself and remind herself of the powerful woman he used to be. Last season she broke up with Chuck because she wanted to focus on her own career and that's great! But... what is she doing right now ? She's married and jumping in a relationship with the ex-boyfriend of her best friend ?

    If Dan really love Blair as he say, if he really was her friend, he would be the FIRST to talk to her about this. But no, Dan accept and support Blair even when she's wrong and doing something bad or to hurt her. But your real friends, your best friends, have the guts to tell you when you're making a bad decision (As Serena did with the bullshit pact with God and her wedding, AND WHAT A LOVELY SURPRISE! Serena was right!)

    I think the real problem with Dair right now is that they are looking at themselves, only, and they don't care to stop and look at what they're doing. I don't know how Blair can look at the mirror and accept what she had become. Instead of playing stupid cupid last episode she could have been working on herself, trying to find a job and focusing on her career.

     what is it with people comparing damon to chuck? they're nothing alike and you simply CAN NOT compare them. because chuck is not a vampire so he has no the same 'basis' like damon. he does not have this craving for blood, he does not have the whole struggle with his humanity. you cant compare the things a vampire does to the things a human does. because a vampire is not real. everybody knows the things damon does arent realistic at all, but gg 'tres' to be a little more realstic.
    anyway, imagine chuck was a vampire .... he would have done far worse things than damon. but yet again, you cant compare.

    I said almost all, so i know there are Dair fans since the beginning, but it's really difficult. I mean, look at Glee, one of the largest fanbases is Faberry one and it probably will never happen since neither rachel or Quinn had expressed being lesbians or bissexual. So if the Dair fanbase were large since the beginning i would not say that. However most dair fans i know or multi-ship or change ships like they change clothes. Some of them used to be Nair, Derena, Serenate, Danessa... so i think most of Dair fans I know just hate on Chuck.

    How can you say Nate was not Blair's soulmate in high school ? For God's sake, she dreamed of marrying him and he always thought he would marry her. Nate was Blair's only boyfriend during high school, since Chair only started to date in college. #remembernair 

    To say the truth comparing couples is lame, because they are from different shows, it's not the same SL, they are NOT the same person. 

    If you guys will start to compare couples i will then compare this situation to the Ross/Rachel/Joey on Friends. The characters are TOTALLY different, but the situation is very alike.

    this show has just gotten ridiculous, i am a chair fan and i dont care if dair get together its the show theyve bit themself theyve made it all about ships ignored and not even mentioned that apparently all of them dropped out of columbia or NYU.. had serena fall back in love with dan... when they whole series was meant to be about dan loving serena.. had dan change from a judgmental kind hearted boy to a schemer who let serena take the fall for the videoo.. and let chuck lose his spark.. and have no other role than to pine after blair.. nate and serena are my favourite characters at the moment and yeah she does have every right to be mad people who say they dont are lying.. if you loved a boy for 5 years on and off.. and was only person ever truely loved.. and your best friend even started hanging out with him youd be pissed.. let alonee blair made serena tell dan how she feels for her to kiss him.. thats sick.. and everyone knows if chuck moves on or gets with another girl everyone will say he is a dick.. and if he got with serena.. blair would literally kill her.. but if blair gets married, screws over her best friend, cheats on louis all time with chuck and blair, she faces no consequences.. its boring now :|

    Just to remind you in the pilot Chuck had a mother and Nate was a drug addicted. Pilot! Chuck is Book! Chuck, but Series! Chuck is sooo not like Book! Chuck.

    I know because i've read all the books (: And seriously, what the hell they did with Dan and Vanessa on the show ? Vanessa is the most awesome character on the book and i love Book! Dan. But it's sad to see them on the tv :/

    wasn’t a bad boy AT ALL. He was a sweetheart and especially with the girl he loved.
    He was wonderful with Andie and Joey, he treated them like queens, he helped one
    of them get better (Andie) and the other find herself (Joey). He always
    challenged them in good and positive ways and none of his serious relationships were
    destructive, not for the girl any way as he was always willing to sacrifice his
    own happiness for theirs (while on the other hand Chuck Bass couldn’t even
    sacrifice his damn hotel).

     


    Pacey started
    the show as the funny sidekick, not as the bad boy and then he developed nicely
    into a character with his fair share of flaws and struggles but his way of
    acting absolutely did NOT fit the bad boy trope. So don’t compare him to Chuck,
    they have nothing in common and it’s insulting to compare Pacey to that
    attempted rapist, confirmed pimp who treated his girlfriend like crap.

    I mean Chuck isn't even as snarky as Pacey was anymore as all of his line seems to be out of a soap.

    Personally I do not hate Chuck. I do want him and Serena to find happiness.
    However I don't think neither Blair nor Dan are what will make either one respectivelly happy in the long run. And I think that Dan and Blair do make eachother happy and can continue to do so for a very long time.

    So that is why I've jumped ships the way that I have.

    I completely agree with you. Dan and Blair are a shadow of what they once were. I cant believe the only characters I can now stand are Nate, Chuck, and Serena. Chuck and Serena seem to be the only ones progressing while Dan and Blair are regressing, especially Blair. Blair used to be my favorite character, and now I wish the writers would just kill her that way Leighton, who is amazing and deserves better, can be free from this crappy show.

    Chair, of course.  However, maybe if Dan/Blair would've started on a better note, with no secrets between the two, ( the video )  I may have liked them more.  In a universe where Chuck didn't exist, Dan & Blair would have been quite cute.  But honestly, they make me a bit nauseous. :/

    It really disappoints me, how much they've changed Blair.  She is not our B anymore.  Her relationship with Serena may never recover from this, not to mention her relationship with Chuck. I'm also not liking Dan too much anymore, either.  He's become the very thing he use to hate.  Blair spent the entire season, repeatedly, telling Chuck how much she loved him.  The writers also threw so much stuff in Chairs way, it's getting a bit ridiculous.  Louis, the baby, even God?  And the dowry, and now Dan.  It just frustrates me so much.  I'm not ready to give up on Chair, though.  Even if Blair has a thing with Dan for awhile, I still believe ( and hope ) that the writers will finally reunite Chuck & Blair.  If not, my heart will officially be broken.

    Oh, and Dair fans, please don't take anything I said too personally.  I don't mean this to be insulting, it's just the way I feel.

    I'm team Get-the-writers/producers-off-twitter-where-their-indulgence-of-nutty-shippers-influences-the-show-for-the-worse.

    For god's sake, these are supposed to be professionals! Leave the rabid
    shippers where they belong - in fanfiction. Instead, letting them into
    the show and its direction has turned the SHOW into fanfiction. And not
    the good, well-written kind.

    Who cares what ship gets the edge when plots designed solely to showcase ships are turning the show into a trainwreck? Nothing makes sense, beloved characters have become unrecognizable, and dialogue and plots have become soapy in the sense that's NOT fun and campy, but overwrought, melodramatic, and stupid. Like, it amazes me that anybody even takes Chair scenes seriously anymore - they're unbelievably insulting. And what the hell have they done to Dair? Why so serious?

    So, what would be really great is if the showrunners turned off the message boards, took a long hard look at the characters they've created, got to like them again, and did the show they wanted to do all along, the one they set out to do, for better or for worse, and let the chips (and, haha ships!     yeah but while Blair and Nate were "dating" Nate slept with Serena, and then Serena came back and he was clearly still into her... later on Nate and Blair broke up for a while, and then she had sex with Chuck and they got back together, even though but Blair was clearly into Chuck. so when you think about it how much time of their relationship they were actually into each other?     Chuck never claim to love those TWO girls, he was in his denial land for two episodes at most just when BLAIR told him she didn't loved him anymore. Dan said he LOVED Serena and Vanessa. So sorry I will not take any Dan's feelings for a girl anymore.     I do agree that with you I'm happy to stay out of a ship war as well although I will be the first to admit that the lack of chair scenes this season (considering chuck and blair are two of the four this season is centered on) has made me a little jumpy ! lol.
    The only thing that shits me is how it always comes back to chuck being a pimp or a womaniser or that he traded blair for a hotel or that he slept with jenny he isn't that person anymore he paid his dues blair forgave him and jenny slept with him and used him as well cause nate wasn't there for her. 
    I think the writers needed to do dair differently maybe if they didn't have blair confess her love to chuck and all the cockblock from god crap and made it a dair/louis storyline and took chuck out of it it would of been easier to swallow but surely you can understand our (Chair Ship)  frustration as this season unfolds we are looking down the barrel of a 5 season love affair and we are feeling it so if I did offend I'm sorry I'm usually better behaved lol

    If I read another comment on how old Blair would never do this or that I will start throwing stuff. For God's sake she started out as a highschool girl, of course she isn't the same. And do you really want her to act like a girl when she can be a wonderful woman. She has learnt the hard way to appreciate people that are always there for you because she has gone through a lot of shit. She has feelings for Dan and who wouldn't when the guy has been her rock for quite sometime.Do you even want the characters to be happy because people just want their ship and nothing else seems to matter??? With Dan (even as a friend) she has been happy and everyone could see the change. And that's what she and every character needs: happiness. Chuck and Blair and Serena are hung on their past relationships but there's a reason why they didn't work. Happiness doesn't come from getting what you want but getting what you need and I really don't see Blair needing Chuck or vice versa.Be realistic.

Can you also see a chair fans side of us defending chuck? That's what frustrates me the most. If other characters can grow and change why can't he? It seems like A lot of Dair fans, maybe you or not, cant see the evolution of his character. I think both sides of the fanbase are frustrated with certain things each other say or think but I really wish everyone took into consideration that it's the writers fault on their inability to tell the stories well. I hate what's going on with chair obviously but I also hate how they're writing Dair. It just could have been done so much Bette I think.

    I honestly think some people are just blind. Blair would do anything for Chuck and visa versa. They can't put them together right now cause its so close to the end of the series that when they're officially together for good, it will be endgame how its supposed to turn out. Something is going to happen where Dan will realize he still loves Serena and get his head out of the clouds with Blair.     I hardly ever comment on things like this, but after seeing what Gossip Girl has turned into I feel like I have to say something. Ever since I saw Chuck and Blair hook up in season 1 I was mesmerized by their amazing chemistry. Like Chuck said in one of the early episodes I could really feel the butterflies in my stomache fluttering.  I had never seen anything quite like the Chair pairing before.  Chuck was the bad guy who finally had feelings for someone. Real genuine feelings. It was so intriguing to see him struggle with this. 

     Yes, Chuck and Blair have done terrible things to each other but in the world of fiction I excuse more than I obviously ever would in real life. Granted though I had real difficult overcoming the whole IP thing. It felt like the writers went too far. On the other hand I commend the writers for being brave enough to go there.  It really shook things up. 

    Let me be clear. In real life I would never ever want to hook up with anyone on Gossip Girl. And yes that also includes Dan Humphrey who I never  liked as a character not even in season 1 when he always wanted to be oh so righteous in the company of Serena. He had so much trouble accepting Serena for who she was so quite frankly it is impossible for me to understand why he would ever accept Blair who has done far worse. However, split personalities seem to be common on this show so I should not be surprised. Dan is however no longer very honorable. In fact it seems like he has turned into one of those upper east siders like he always hated but secretly admired. What I dislike about Humprey is that he tried to come across as the good guy but really isn´t all that nice. He has no trouble backstabbing his friends and even his family. Yes, Chuck made have done worse things but at least he has been honest about what kind of character he is and even he has changed for the better.  

    Another thing that I dislike is how they have destroyed  Blair as a character. The way she  has been acting lately is not really fair to any of the guys on the show. No wonder Louis is pissed. I really don´t like Louis, but Blair really treated the guy very poorly. If I were him I would have left her long before the wedding.  Right now I don´t recognize Blair at all. She is a mess of a character and to think that she was once my favourite female character on this show.  

    Maybe this show has gone on too long. Right now they writers´seem desperate. I miss Chuck and Blair. I truly feel that they are the heart and soul of the show together with Serena and Blair. 

    I want to admit that for a short while I was actually on the dair train. It lasted for about two episodes when I was really mad at Chuck for hooking up with Raina, which felt like another random thing to do. I was so pissed  I actually convinced myself that Dan and Blair would be better. However, as much as I tried to find the romantic chemistry behing them I just couldn´t find it. Sure, they were somewhat funny to look at while they fighted but the handholding scene and their first kiss just did not do it for me at all. And then as soon as Chuck got his senses back and went after Blair I just knew. No matter how frustrated their actions in the past have made me there just isn´t a couple like Chuck and Blair. We need them back. Hopefully they can fix this mess of a show and give us back the couple that once made it worth watching.

    Chair fans are just holding on to what Chair used to be. Says ex-Chair fan ( I used to laugh at Dair fans ). Chair have been nothing but horrible ever since season 3 and you guys know it. You simply don;t wanna admit it.

    But Chuck is not like that anymore and you know, i know and everybody knows that Chuck and Blair are the perfect match and they are meant to be together and so they will. Maybe not now, Blair is confused and need to clear her mind but maybe in the end of that season or the next one (the final one i think) they will stop being so destructive with each other and will be the endgame. Sorry but you know that will happen.
