  5. Alexis hearing her Dad and Beckett arguing then questioning him when they walk in the door at home was great. I love those scenes like that, she's as much a mom to him as he is a dad to her...

  8. I loved the style of the last one =)

Anyone else who thinks the outcome is a bit too extreme? I don't know...

  13. Love these sneaks...  this case is gonna be an intense one for sure! But thy still are awesome at balancing the humor and awkward tidbits so well.....

  14. I really love that we get to see a bad hair day for Beckett :P

  15. Where is the other sneak peek? (1 more still coming or something like that)

  16. All 4 are posted.

    Are you not seeing 4?

  17. way to extreme! The first two 2 parters they did in season 2 and 3 were believable but I think there just trying to top themselves again. The idea that one tiny thing could cause this exact pattern of events and inevitability lead to WW3

  18. I will never forgive him if he sleeps with Sofia he belongs with Kate, they love each other

  19. Just a few more days, but it seems like forever. I wanna see this episode now!

  20. Beckett's hair = amazing! Pulls off the almost drowned look well. Also, I literally laughed out loud on the second clip with Alexis in the background

  21. seriously im in love with Jennifer Beals oh my goodness she is so freakin amazing!!!!!!!!

  22. Wow...  This one really is looking like a nail-biter!  I can still feel the adrenaline, just from these sneak peeks.  Phew!

  24. Yep gotta agree. I loved the two parters in season 2 and 3, but this one stretches the limit.

While I love the character interactions, I just have a hard time believing that the CIA would allow a civilian (whether the lead agent knew them well or not) and a homicide detective run around dealing with a case involving extremely sensitive knowledge like this and wouldn't take every piece of information the NYPD had on the case and classify it (and charge anyone investigating the case with obstruction of justice and hold them).

I believe the lynchpin theory is true (like how they explained WW1), but I think that the subject material is a little too heavy and abstract for this show.

    Lanie ¿Novia?
Castle: Si... ok,nos acostamos, fue hace mucho tiempo ¿Cuál es el gran problema?
Beckett: ¡No hay ningún problema! ¡Acuestate con quien se te de la gana!.... Mientras más mejor.
    Alexis: Uhmmm
    silencio
Alexis: Tengo esos reportes toxicologicos que pediste...
Lanie: Oh si querida, dejalos ahi, gracias.

  26. I totally think the Linchpin idea works, and it was a great idea to put it in the show. These two-parters are always more like movies, weightier subject matter and juicier interactions. Admittedly, the CIA would hardly be inclined to let an NYPD detective and civilian run things but then again, Beckett wasn't really running it, no rf was Castle. They only did what the CIA allowed them to. Besides, if the CIA didn't leave it with the original investigators, Castle and Beckett, they would have to turn everything over to the FBI. So, who knows what they'd do.
As for Sophia, I love her. She brings a dynamic to the show we've not seen before. I picked up a bit of jealousy when she asked him "Is she really, or do you just think she is?" So now Castle actually does have to decide, and also say how he feels. Or do what he does so well and avoid answering.

  27. My gut tells me that the theory room was too much "a beautiful mind" to be true.  Also, the female mathematician discovered that the think tank that hired the male mathematician didn't exist - perhaps it was in his mind all along. However, they both did get killed. Either way, I think there is a big twist coming.

  28. My image froze and so I only heard Alexis talking, it was twice as effective! rofl!!

  29. I can stretch my mind to believe that this level of mathematical prediction is possible - chaos theory, mob psychology, sociology, socio-economic theory, its all happening now. (Plus I have read the Foundation series and watch Fringe :D ).

But in this show, even for a 2-parter finale, no, its too big and not even vaguely in the right ball-park. Sure, its New York, and there's a reason why the UN is based there, but no. My main hope right now is that it is pretty much the biggest red herring ever.

  30. I don't think it's a bad hair day for Kate.I think she looks even more gorgeous. She seriously has amazing hair-I HATED her with short hair in the first 2 seasons (well,in season 2 during the last episodes her hair was kind of longer but still she looks much much better with long hair, although I think she needs a tiny bit of a haircut now)

Anyway, apart from the hair rumbling (burnt before!) ,is anyone else getting the feeling that Sofia is behind everything???
It may be just the fact that I HATE her(she gets on my nerves with her whole attitude "i'm the boss" and she thinks she is better or at least as good as Becket-please girl WAKE UP!) but I think she's the one organising the whole pandora project...At least you have to admit that it would be an interesting twist for the audience!

  31. anyone remember the episode Five Years Gone from Heroes. The string theory by Hiro? This reminds me of that...

  32. well, my problem with it was the mathematician was just too stupid to be genius... Who runs out of the car when they think their enemies are outside?!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Love the second one!!

    ReplyDelete
  34. I actually think it's Sophia's partner.
Beckett's bad hair is 10x better than my best hair ever.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Good to see more of Jennifer Beals in these clips - I like her character.
Love the second clip with Alexis in the background - lol!

  36. This is going to be absolutely fantastic!

  37. These sneak peeks are one better than the other... can't wait!

    ReplyDelete
  38. lol, true. But then again I live in Los Alamos (the National Lab where they invented the Nuclear bomb) and some of the "geniuses" up here are really quite stupid when it comes to common sense or knowledge.

I could tell you stories upon stories, but some of my favorites are one guy proposed blowing up the moon to show the communists how powerful the US was, there's a guy up here that needs help putting on just his socks in the morning, one director of the lab cut open live M-16 ammunition and put it in a compressor to turn it into hollow point so he could go hunting.

No one said that geniuses were smart when it comes to common sense ;)

  39. Yep that's what I was trying to say. I studied Criminology in College and a lot of the prerequisites were classes involving the things that you mentioned (sociology classes or classes based in sociology or psychology).

I think that mathematical prediction based at the level the show is talking about is possible, but it's not really suited for a TV show such as Castle. Now I could see the subject material being handled on show such as 24, but not really on show like this.

  40. Him being the bad guy was my 1st thought too (Sophia's comment "I'm the one who has to stop him" or sth like that made it pretty obvious I think) but I want it so bad to be her!I hate her!

    ReplyDelete
  41. The math is possible - graph theory is used to assess vulnerabilities all the time. Just why use string and post-it notes when there is modeling software. I was hoping the mathematician had a bit of paranoid schizophrenia going on. I guess the string just makes for better tv. In either case, I am still excited for the next episode.

  42.  It looks like they just got out of the water, so that would probably be her I-nearly-drowned-and-my-wet-hair-is-a-mess kind of thing. But like you all said, my bad hair day looks ten time worse than hers. It's unfair. Can't wait to watch 'Linchpin' anyway ! :D

  43. That second clip was amazing.  Arguing with Kate with Alexis in the room, avoiding Alexis' questions, Sophia sitting there right after he said he'd never see her again, it was a fantastic sequence.
