Oh, that was hard!
ReplyDeleteI voted for:
ReplyDeleteDamien Lewis - Homeland
Ernest Dickerson & Gwyneth Horder-Payton for The Walking Dead - "What Lies Ahead"
Masterchef USA
Gonna be tough in the directors category me thinks...
Jim Parsons- TBBT
ReplyDeleteCastle
The Amazing Race
Best Actor: Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad)
ReplyDeleteBest Director: Alan Taylor (Game of Thrones- Baelor)
Best Reality Show: Amazing Race by Default.
Damian Lewis, Alan Taylor. I don't watch reality shows, sorry.
ReplyDeleteBest lead: Nathan Fillion (Castle).
ReplyDeleteBest director: Bryan Spicer (Castle) for "Cops and Robbers"
Best reality: N/A
I found this multiple choice poll much easier than the blank "who do you vote for" poll before this. When I see each list of possible answers 60% or more are ruled out immediately for me.
ReplyDeleteit takes a while to load on the page. try reloading the page.
ReplyDeletevoted jensen ackles and the amazing race.
ReplyDeletei dont watch any of the shows from the best director poll.
so glad this has started, its gonna be fun :-)
Sadly you are blind. ;-P
ReplyDeleteI often do not see the Facebook like button unless I Ctrl/F5 refresh the page. The Google +1 and the Tweet buttons always appear though.
ReplyDeleteBryan Cranston - Breaking Bad
ReplyDeleteVince Gilligan - Face Off - Breaking Bad
The X Factor US
Difficult choices!
Nathan Fillion, Bryan Spicer for Castle - "Cops & Robbers" and The voice (just because of Adam XDDD)
ReplyDeleteWe did Movie Characters in Feb this year...
ReplyDeleteI imagine I'll do something in awards season in Jan/Feb 2012 :)
Well luckily for me I only watch one show in each category so my votes went to
ReplyDeleteJensen Ackles SupernaturalDavid Boreanaz Bones
The Voice
Damien Lewis - Homeland
ReplyDeleteErnest Dickerson & Gwyneth Horder-Payton for The Walking Dead - "What Lies Ahead"Don't care about reality TV.
I voted for Castle both times and Masterchef.
ReplyDeleteI don't watch any of the shows in the best director poll, but I voted for The Amazing Race, and , of course, Jensen Ackles. This is gonna be a fun week. :)
ReplyDeleteI voted for:
ReplyDeleteBryan Cranston - Breaking Bad
Alan Taylor for Game of Thrones - "Baelor"The Voice
Damian Lewis, Baelor, and The Amazing Race (by default).
ReplyDeleteOf course the first poll was just not fair, so I just had to choose someone.
I voted everything Castle! :D
ReplyDeletei wonder who will win
ReplyDeleteWhat about Jensen as best director?
ReplyDeleteOff to bed now, but I can give you a couple of teasers...
ReplyDeleteIn the first poll, two actors have a small lead over third and fourth placed, with fifth lagging behind
In the second poll, one director has just pulled clear, with second and third placed on the exact same amount of points.
The third poll is the closest between all the nominees, with only 10% covering first to last
I rarely see the Like button in Chrome any more so I have stopped liking as much. However, I find that when I am in Firefox the Like button always pops up. Just weird.
ReplyDeleteWhy isn't Jared on here? He has a lead role in Supernatural just as much as Jensen...
ReplyDeleteHe didn't get enough nominations in the nomination stage. My guess is that the director one was the hardest because so many people nominated different directors from their favorite show. Split the vote as it were.
ReplyDeleteNo one is saying that Jared is any less a major force on Supernatural than Jensen. It simply means that he didn't have enough nominations to be in the top 5 of all actors during the nomination stage a few weeks ago. My guess is that he was very, very close.
ReplyDeleteJensen Ackles for actor. For director, I don't watch Breaking Bad or Game of Thrones and I didn't like Walking Dead, so that left Bones and Castle. While I would normally vote David Boreanaz for most things, Cops and Robbers was an exceptionally well done episode of Castle. Therefore, it got my vote. As for the third, I would rather live in my own world where reality TV blissfully doesn't exist - no vote.
ReplyDeleteexcited for this to start! it was great to see some of my nominees in the polls :)
ReplyDeleteBest Actor-Damien Lewis,Homeland
ReplyDeleteBest director-David Boreanaz,The Blackout In The Blizzard
Best Reality-The Amazing Race
I instantly knew best actor, there was no doubt in my mind it is Damien Lewis without question.I had a hard time with best director, not as sure in this category. For best reality if Survivor was in it i would have gone with that, but sine it wasn't i went with the Amazing Race.
I look forward to the next round...Adam,thank you for putting this together! :)
Voting for lead actor was a lot more difficult than I thought it would be - since it was a mixed bag of genres, I really had to think hard on Jensen Ackles, Nathan Fillion, and Jim Parsons.. ultimately, Jensen Ackles won out.. I think Stana Katic has really stood out on Castle this season, more so than her co-star, and Jensen continues to surprise me with his performances.. to be honest, I'm surprised Jared Padalecki still gets top billing at this point.. at the very least, they should share that honor, like Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz on Bones.
ReplyDeleteJensen Ackles, 'Cops and Robbers', abstention.
ReplyDeletenathan fillion for castle, bryan spicer for cops and robbers on castle (great episode) and the voice!!! Go team go!
ReplyDeletesame picks! but not relly because of adam i just like the show overall.
ReplyDeleteJim Parson!!
ReplyDeleteeasy... breaking bad both choices.
ReplyDeleteJensen Ackles - best actor, of course;
ReplyDeleteI have watched one of the shows for director, so I chose David Boreanaz
Master Chef was my choice because I have watched. I not really in to reality tv
The directors of The Walking Dead, What Lies Ahead and Dancing With The Stars.
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts exactly!
ReplyDeleteCompletely! I honestly couldn't even fill that thing out. I can't narrow shit down enough for that. :P
ReplyDeleteEasy.
ReplyDeleteCranston
Gilligan
Didn't even vote for the last one.
Best Actor In A Leading Role - Jensen Ackles
ReplyDeleteAs for the other polls, I haven't watched any of the shows, so no voting.
Fillion "Castle", Cops & Robbers "Castle", and The Voice
ReplyDeleteI love Supernatural, but Cranston is better than Ackles by miles.
ReplyDeleteAs much as I love Jensen Ackles work...Damien Lewis' performance has blown me out of the water.
ReplyDeleteNominated David B. for Bones...I'm not sure how scientific my decision was.
didn't vote for reality because So You think You Can Dance wasn't on the list.
I don't really know how to vote, if we're going for best, Bryan Cranston or Damien Lewis to win, if we're going for enjoyable, possibly Jensen Ackles, I don't really know to be honest.
ReplyDeleteIf it were the Emmys I'd go with Lewis, but it's not so I don' really know what to do.
Interesting... not many shows I watch, but still good :) Thanks for all the work!
ReplyDeleteHmm there are some hard choices for the first 2 polls. Don't watch reality TV so skipped the third!
ReplyDeleteJensen Ackles, 'Cops and Robbers', and ? maybe Amazing Race
ReplyDeleteYup.
ReplyDeleteI've never watched any of the reality shows(haven't even heard about a couple of them)so can't offer an opinion.
ReplyDeleteJensen Ackles for best actor.Out of these I only watch Supernatural and The Big Bang Theory and while Jim Parsons is an insane actor, after 7 years it's second nature to vote for the SPN guys.. ; ) Plus,if Parsons doesn't win this he can sleep hugging his Emmy(AND his Golden Globe)for consolation!
Best director was between Game Of Thrones and Bones and while David Boreanaz is great I had to go Alan Taylor..
Damien Lewis for HomelandAlan Taylor for Game of Thrones - "Baelor"
ReplyDeletevoted for Castle!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Voted twice for Castle!
ReplyDeleteHa!
ReplyDeleteIt goes back to the "Best" vs "Favorite" debate over a year ago.
Luckily for me the two are usually the same.
Agreed. For me Cranston gets this year's vote too. There was just such subtlety in his performance this season. I love Lewis and Homeland, but I feel like Cranston has the heavier work load and a more demanding workload as well.
ReplyDeleteI see the Like button less than half the time too. If I really want to like a full refresh using Ctrl + F5 will almost always make it appear when the page reloads.
ReplyDeleteOther than casting a vote for Jensen Ackles in "Supernatural," I don't really care much about any of this.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad someone agrees with me :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, went for the head with Lewis, it makes the most sense :)
Darque I respect your TV opinions so much. I always love to see you agree with me.
ReplyDeleteBryan Cranston, Vince Gilligan for Face Off, and The Amazing Race.
ReplyDeleteDamien Lewis and Vince Galligan for me
ReplyDeleteI've had the same problem for months, and have been told my laptop isn't fast enough to cope with the page load. I usually have the banner hidden, but when the FB button disappears I find that the banner also loads. Sometimes I have to reload 2/3 times in order for it to load correctly. I know some people who can't even get pages to load, assumedly due to slow machines at work not being able to handle it, so I'm better off than most, lol.
ReplyDeleteLead was the hardest for me, but I went with Jim Parsons. Director was easy - Game of Thrones, of course - and I've only ever watched one reality show in my life, so...
ReplyDeleteDamien Lewis, Vince Galligan for Breaking Bad - "Face Off" and I don't watch reality shows :p
ReplyDeleteOh what a tease,lol. :)
ReplyDeleteI voted for Jensen Ackles as best Actor (if you are unfamiliar with his character Dean Winchester on Supernatural, you honestly don't know what you're missing) and The X Factor USA as best Reality Show (I simply can't stand reality TV, but if I do watch it, it has to be a singing competition with Simon Cowell). However, I am here to promote Jensen Ackles. He has a long history in TV, and he is simply amazing (not to mention extremely handsome). Supernatural is the best show TV has to offer! Currently on season 7, and the end nowhere in sight (hopefully lol). Long live Supernatural!! :D
ReplyDeletevoted!
ReplyDeleteLead Actor
ReplyDeleteBryan Cranston though it was tough deciding between him and Damian
Best Director
Alan Taylor because Baelor was so beautifully shot especially when Ned dies
I agree on So You Think You Can Dance, but no actor amazes me like Jensen Ackles right now. Easy one.
ReplyDeleteI'll give you a clue... the awards are called the #cough# best #cough of 2011 awards... :P
ReplyDeleteWasn't even close in terms of nominations! :P
ReplyDeleteJensen, Jensen, Jensen. Easy one.
ReplyDeleteI like The X Factor, but I prefer So You Think You Can Dance.
I don't watch any of the nominated shows for directors.
Jensen for Best Actor!
ReplyDeleteMy opinion:
ReplyDeleteI'm a big fan of Breaking Bad, Bryan Cranston gets those badass monologues to perform and he's an amazing actor with ...how many? 5 Emmys under his pillow? He is the godfather of today's TV, but I voted for the highly underrated Jensen Ackles this time, the skripts he has to perform are not as rock-solid as on other shows, but his acting is inspiriting the character of Dean Winchester more accurately and believable than I have seen it anywhere else. He manages to unite comedy and drama perfectly in his character without making it look off. The rest of the Supernatural cast have been outshined by him a long time ago.
Best Actor: Jim Parsons
ReplyDeletehaha, same here! I would fill it in, then think, wait, what about this one? I'm indecisive as it is; Give me choices and I'm relatively better off.
ReplyDeleteBest Actor: Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad)
ReplyDeleteBest Director: Alan Taylor (Game of Thrones- Baelor)
I voted for my absolutly favourite actor-JENSEN ACKLES!!! Love him in SUPERNATURAL
ReplyDeleteDoesn't work for me even if I reload several times. My Chrome does not like SpoilerTV. Strange because SPTV is the reason I started with Chrome. Not only do I not get the FB Like button, but I also often get messages saying that something has stopped working (Shockware I think) and have to exit off the page and open a new tab. That however is a relatively new phenomenon ever since the Badgeville program was added. Before that, I got SpoilerTV and the Like button with no problem.
ReplyDeleteThat can't be the problem with my computer because I bought it specifically with speed in mind. We just upgraded the internet connection to make it faster too but I still can't get the Like button. In fact, everything else seems to work very well on the computer. In all honesty, I think my computer sees SpoilerTV and goes on strike. It knows when I get on there will be no rest for it for hours.
ReplyDeleteI get a flash error if I leave the browser open too long or do not refresh etc.
ReplyDeleteI have a speedy, powerful machine (Quad-core 3.2ghz/ 6GB Ram)I built so I doubt it's that... I agree, my Chrome browser just does not like SpoilerTV in the last few months.
ReplyDeleteThere is actually a bug with our Facebook implementation that we're trying to fix
ReplyDeleteVoted Jensen Ackles for best actor. I do think Jensen is underrated and as much as I love Supernatural, sometimes the dialogue is shockingly bad and yet he sells it every time. I think some of the other actors listed, while awesome, are helped by the quality of the scripts.
ReplyDeleteAhhh, that is interesting to hear. I have quite a powerful laptop for it's age, but it started playing up a few months back. Not long after that I started getting trouble with the site, and I was told it was my laptops fault. Hmmmmmm...
ReplyDeleteAhh, is it just with Chrome, or would using ff fix it for now?
ReplyDeleteSandi, out of interest can you try loading up a spoilertv article in Chrome Incognito Mode.
ReplyDeleteI've seen some people having problem with non-compatible Extensions and Facebook Like Button.
If you load up in Incognito mode it wont load all your extensions etc
Gave it a go, but it's still not bringing the Like button up. Tried changing my preferences (no banner/welcome station) but it didn't remember those settings either :(
ReplyDeleteI'm not entirely sure. I think it's due to some incompatible Extension. Can you try in Incognito mode to see if the Like button comes back
ReplyDeleteHave you tweaked something? The last 3 pages have opened correctly. That hasn't happened in quite some time XD
