The Walking Dead - Season 2 - Short Set Report + Photo

Downtown Sharpsburg was blocked off from prying eyes by Coweta Sheriff's deputies Monday while AMC television crews returned for a second time to film scenes for "The Walking Dead," which is scheduled to premiere its second season on Oct. 16.

No one was allowed into downtown while crews filmed at a building owned by Herb Bridges and leased by Susan Westling. The building was converted into a temporary pharmacy for the scene.

The set, which has been in place in the shop since July, will be taken down and removed by the end of the week, according to Westling, who plans to open a children's boutique in September at the location.

A production crew spent a day in Sharpsburg filming earlier this month. The scene involved two actors riding into town on horseback and exchanging dialogue outside the pharmacy.

"The Walking Dead" is a post-apocalyptic science fiction series involving zombies.

No word on whether any zombies were spotted in town Monday.

"We will be filming in and around Atlanta and the greater Atlanta area through the end of October/beginning of November," said show publicist Brandee Brooks.
