Maybe the reason Cristina kisses Jackson is because of the way Owen has been treating her? He's been blowing her off, pushing her away, hiding things etc, (sure he can act all sweet and whatnot but he is also Alex in a way) and I don't blame her for feeling that way OR the Jackson/Cristina thing can also be a dream, it may not be but it could be. In a description, it says she tests her bounderies with Owen, so it may happen.

Anyway, I understand all views here. A lot of people watch G.A. only for a couple or 2, or something else, and just because we may not feel the same doesn't give us the right to get mad at people and call them whiners and whatnot. They have their opinion, and we have ours. As an Alex/Izzie fan I will be very mad if Alex does indeed go with Reed. Why? They are married and Alex finally became a nice guy and he practically promised he wouldn't cheat on her. AND people are saying that what Izzie did to Alex (leaving him) is not right so it would be okay for Alex to hook up with Reed. My opinion? No it's not right.

Alex has done way worse to Izzie, way more. He has yelled at her for no reason, cheated on her, backstabbed her when she helped etc. So, Alex has no right to cheat on Izzie just because she left, she had a reason (and it was also the actress who was busy.)

Anyway, with this Owen/Cristina thing, I think whatever happens, happens. The episode is already filmed and they can't go back and edit it. I may be a little upset but it's G.A. A lot of things will happen in this show that we will not like. (And personally, I liked Dead Denny lol)

A lot of fans may not like this season and how the couples are, but a lot of fans do like it. We'll just have to wait and watch because Shonda may disappoint at times but she can also make it better. It's a show and if we want this show to continue we have to try and be loyal no matter what. We probably wouldn't be able to do a better job with this show (I know I wouldn't) because we didn't make it.

But that's my 2 cents.

Okay I'm sorry I didn't want to attack you that way, it's just that I've gotten through a lot of Grey's season 6 discussions in the past few weeks and this one just made me say out loud what I think about those "I wish back season 2" whiners... So thanks for your nevertheless objective answer.

I'm just going to reffer to the "What I would like to see" as my personal soap opera just gives me the creeps atm... Things here at home work out like in a telenovela -.-

I see your point, but what kind of issues they would have then? I mean, giving Cris a neutral mentor who would guide her through cardio would make her happy related to her job, and having a good relationship to Owen would make her happy related to her private life. Owen on the other hand, what kind of storyline do you want to give him then? Another military trauma? That is what we already had... Another trauma resident he can be a mentor for? Seen so far... We also had her ex-fiancee... The only storyline he could have is something about his mother... But is that really an issue you can fill a whole season with?

The result would be the only Cris and Owen scence would be about them being happily together... And I don't think that would get on screen that often as Grey's has never been a show that shows a long time couple sharing sweet times together (except of MerDer most of the times last season)! I don't think that this would make us that happy because they wouldn't get much screentime anymore, at least not together (Cris on her own yes because it is her storyline about the cardio mentor but barely both of them together)... So why not giving them both a chance to get through that mess of a love triangle and hope they're gonna make it?

I never said anything about how Grey's needs to go back to season 2, etc. I frankly think season 5, with a few plot exceptions (dead Denny, anyone?), at about episode 10 became possibly the strongest season to date. But if we need a laundry list of all the good things about GA, here it is:

Callie and Arizona are fantastic. I love Arizona's authority issues, and every scene they have together they hit it out of the ballpark. Callie is hilarious, and I wish she would speak more Spanish. Arizona is caring but can kick a$$ when she needs to.

Love that Meredith has become the mature, almost mom figure to all her friends, in spite of the fact that her mom was such a crappy role model.

Derek is so much better this season as the voice of reason than as the whiny guy in the woods last season. Complete 180 from being annoying to being strong and likable again.

Lexie is coming into her own, and no longer seems the extra wheel. She is stronger, smarter, and more confident as a surgeon and as a person.

Alex has changed so much. He is more sensitive and I'm excited to see him get back to caring for kids because he really is destined for peds.

The last two episodes were creative and well acted. I could have done without the diaper subplot, and they probably can't go this route regularly, but a few times a year something that creative would be welcomed.

But the relationship that compels me to return each week is that between Cristina and Owen, and I'm allowed to feel disappointed in their story line if I don't like what I see. As mentioned in the previous post, I don't expect all unicorns and rainbows all the time. It's fair that I feel unhappy if I see Cristina kissing someone other than the person she should be kissing. Do you think the Alex/Izzie fans wouldn't be upset if you saw Alex and Reed making out in the next episode? What about the Mer/Der fans if Mark laid a big fat one on Meredith? What if Lexie and Derek were feeling each other up in the elevator? I'm betting none of those scenarios would go over too well with their respective fans.

And what sort of story line would I like to see? Instead of bringing in Teddy and making some sort of love triangle, how about showing us a professional woman mentoring another in a supportive working relationship? How often do you get to see that without the complication of a man thrown between them? What about showing us some actual teaching happening at this supposed teaching hospital? How about showing a couple that works through their issues together without breaking up or without interference from a third party, because breaking up is an easy answer when things get hard; it's harder but more rewarding to work on your personal issues together and come through them a stronger pairing. And when will Bailey get her comeuppance for yelling at Cristina about how to talk to an attending, when Bailey herself barely ever as a resident spoke to any attending with respect and without a know-it-all attitude?

So if that makes me a fair weather fan, so be it. I'm a fair weather fan. I've been a loyal fan for all these seasons now, but if the one relationship that makes me want to come back excited for more each week continues a slow slide into oblivion, I do see my interests moving elsewhere. It doesn't mean the whole rest of the show is crap, but it does mean that it's not meant for me anymore, and I should move on to something else. It makes no sense to keep watching for the other characters if the main characters that I care about don't have anything to do, individually or with each other, each week.

Guys come on... It's just a promo and we know that this sort of stuff always happens on Grey's. It's always been that way and it always will be. People fight. They break up. Sometimes they reunite. That's what makes it interesting. I mean... Who wants to see a couple that is like perfectly fine all of the time. That's just boring. Just because Cristina is making out with that Avery guy it doesn't mean that she's gonna break up with Owen or that Owen is gonna break up with her. Calm down and be happy. It's just a TV show.

I didn't say that the Owen Cristina storyline isn't worth watching the show. What I don't like is people telling me (and I didn't say that you're such a kind of person, but there are some) that the all the storylines but one are crap and Shonda just dismissed their fans as I think someone can call himself a fan of a series if he is just interested in one single pairing and hates the rest of the show ;)

And I do not dismiss your opinion! I simply do not UNDERSTAND it. And this do-not-understand-thing wasn't just focused on you, but on all the fans out there critisizing the Grey's anatomy to be very very bad atm and not worth watching it as it is not Grey's anymore... None of them had just the slightest idea what would fit in their imagination. None of them saif "I could imagine a great storyline would be that way..." and then just say what say want to see. They just pie on what SR and her team created in the last several month and that is it... Because they don't see that after 5 seasons, a series has not a chance to stand where it stood in season 2... You have to move on, discover disliked land in order to present good stuff there... Because if you would see a season 2 every single year, you will definitelly be bored in season 4 as you have seen all this before and they wouldn't make any progress! But people don't see that, they just say "Grey's Anatomy isn't Grey's Anatomy anymore"...

That is why I would like you to tell me what you would want to see on Greys? What kind of storyline for each character (or only for those you like)? What would "seperate Greys from just a trashy soap opera"?

Stepx,If people don't think the way you think, or feel the way you do, it's not your place to dismiss their point of view or question their motives for watching a show. Not everyone watches for the same reasons and that doesn't make your motives better or more reasonable. I didn't just stop watching Greys for a couple weeks because I didn't like a storyline. i left for at least two seasons and I only came back las season after the Owen and Cristina storyline. Too bad if you don't think that is reason enough to watch the show. That is what brought me back.The point for me is that there should be something that separates Greys from just a trashy soap opera. Mind you I have no illusions that this is any great piece of socially redeeming entertainment, but for me I watch because I liked these characters plain and simple.

They got their interaction... Not a lot I admit, but some interaction! And I place my bet on a LOT Cristina (and Owen) in the next weeks and month now that Teddy is coming to Seattle, and it's going to be a great storyline (although it might not be sure that Owen and Cris will make it through that)! Some what about giving some screen time to some of the others as Cris and Owen are looking forward to GET their screen time within this season up from episode 9?

But tell me, what do you expect Grey's to be about from now on? Cause all I ever hear is "Oh Grey's is not as it was in Season 2... I don't like it anymore, every episode is crap..." and I'm so over it... Yes it is not the same as it was in season 2! That is because you can't keep a series as it was in the very beginning... You want that On-and-Off of MerDer going on till Season 10? Everyone would be angry about that as well... But at some point, characters start getting lame, as they have experienced everything and we got to know everything about there past, and you would make them look ridiculous when you bring them together with every kind of hospital stuff throughout 10 seasons... SO what do you do with tem? The fans don't want them to leave the show, you don't want them to get stuck in what they are doing, you want them to have screen time doing SOMETHING. But what is this SOMETHING allowed to be as fan's restrictions are that strong? See what my point is?

I think Grey's is doing great! We had a couple of great episodes in the last few weeks (and maybe you would see that too if you wiped your Owentina-has-not-enough-screen-time-tears off and start watching Grey's as a show about what life really is about... Cause this happily-ever-after-thing, it just exists barely... And this barely we may see through MerDer, but not through Cris and Owen and through Alex and Izzie neither... Get used to it...

Of course you can whine on what you don't like. But as I said, this is what life is about... I don't like to see my girl kissing with another guy when she is disappointed about me, and I'm gonna mourn about that... But I have to deal with it as horrible things do happen... I don't like to see my friends getting fired due to a merger of his working place, but it happens sometimes...
But "not being able to connect with a character" and having "mindless bed hopping fools" is not the same. I can connect with them, and this is not because I am a mindles bed hopping fool, but because I do fell with everyone getting through the bad sides of life and reaching, sometimes, a kind of happy period of life!

For those of us who have come back to Grey's, we thought it might be different this time around. If it seems like there is never any character we can connect with, we have every right to express our frustration. If this show is just like every other show, what makes it stand out?Just because it doesn't matter to you if characters are mindless bed hopping fools, some of us want more.

Oh, come on! Imagine how incredibly boring tv shows would be if they only consisted of always-and-forever happy couples. Shonda created a bunch of wonderful couples last season but did you all seriously think they will all last till the end without any drama and break-ups? Some of them may not last at all, just like Denny/Izzie, Cristina/Burke, Callie/Erica, Izzie/George and so many more didn't last. And those couples had their fans too. I've been an Alex/Izzie fan since season 2 but had to wait for more than two seasons for them to finally get together. And guess what, they have problems too! That's what tv is all about. Perhaps Cristina being humiliated is also a storyline that is gonna lead somewhere you would never expect. You didn't even see the episode, so come on! What if Jackson kisses her and after a while she says no, I'm in love with someone else? And stop complaining Owen and Cristina have the least screen time, like you said, none of the couples actually had some.

I don't know who took pieces of my post here and copied and twittered them to Shonda, but it was not cool to take my words and use them as your own. That's a little something called plagiarism. It's also not a good idea to make Shonda p.o.'ed because we don't want her taking it out on the story line and thus on the fans.

Oh, and "guest" who doesn't have the cojones to use a name when complaining about us whiny fans? Fans are what makes the show continue, and to disappoint them week after week, 7 weeks running, with so little Cristina and Owen interaction (and most of what there has been based on petty conflict, unnecessary hysterical behavior and a complete lack of awareness on Owen's part), pretty much unleashed the beast of fan frenzy. We're not asking for all happy all the time. We don't expect the show to not have conflict or angst. But we do ask that our loyalty not be taken for granted and be treated callously. Since the end of the amazing love story of season 5 we've gotten almost no personal interaction and weekly we have to watch as Cristina has been humiliated and embarrassed at work and gone from the best resident they have to barely even being allowed in an OR. They've gotten less screen time than every other couple except Mer/Der, and only because EP is pregnant. So allow me to feel angry and disrespected if I think I've invested my time and affection on these two characters only to get this stupid kiss with the new guy, who incidentally is a jack---, thrown in my face. I call BS on this cheap move for ratings. I have every right to feel the way I do, and that's because I have been a dedicated fan who feels like I don't ever get any return for my "investment".
