Whoa, It surprises me the amount of shows that use CGI FX that you don't expect them to. GoT, Walking Dead you expect them to, but the Episodes hadn't even crossed my mind, really interesting.}

me too. especially i ever thaught (okay, not ever, but for a long time) that settings were made in hours over hours by hard working artist-staffs. But after such videos, we were all (inlcuding) so wrong. The work (is often) done by talented vfx's. However, these guys doing also great work! And of course, this takes hours too!

I love these VFX reels that have been turning up for the last few years online.

It's so interesting to see bits of a show you watched and had no idea were completely CGI FX. On shows like Boardwalk Empire and Game of Thrones in particular (even if they are not in these videos), I had not idea so much of the backdrop was all VFX.
