Scene Of The Week - December 18, 2016 + POLL

A weekly feature in which we're trying to find the most compelling, best acted, written, directed and just generally great, memorable scenes that we've seen in past seven days on TV.

DESIGNATED SURVIVOR, "The Oath", December 14, 2016, Actors: Kiefer Sutherland and more
The Scene: The final scene (picked by Marko Pekic)

DIVORCE, "Detente", December 11, 2016, Actors: Molly Shannon and more
The Scene: Diane finds a lost boy
Darth Locke:
Diane finds a lost boy in the grocery store and sets out to help him find his mother.

FRESH OFF THE BOAT, "Where are the Giggles?", December 13, 2016, Actors: Constance Wu, Ian Chen, The Scene: Evan and Jessica heart to heart (picked by Marko Pekic)

FULLER HOUSE, "Happy New Year Baby", December 9, 2016, Actors: John Stamos, Lori Loughlin and more, The Scene: Jesse and Becky bring home their daughter
Klutzy girl:
Jesse and Becky bring home their newly adopted daughter and reveal they named her Pamela after his sister/Danny's wife/the girls' mother. The baby was adorable, and I'm so glad one of my first OTPs have added to their family.

GOOD BEHAVIOR, "We Pretend We're Stuck", December 13, 2016, Actors: Michelle Dockery and more, The Scene: Letty pays someone to pretend to be Jacob's mom
Darth Locke:
Letty pays a hard-up woman to pretend to be Jacob's mom, when Tiffany turns up to intervene, after Jacob is caught shop-lifting. This scene was just one of the more brilliant ones that displays the show's uniquely complicated and creative situations. Between trying to kidnap her own son, to him getting shop-lifting, to the fact that Jacob clearly takes after his African American father in looks, and this random African America woman is suddenly hired and dressed-up to pull a little con herself, for Letty, all while Letty's recently ex-friend Tiffany turns up and calls Letty on the con in the department store (because she is on Jacob's guardian contact list), is just too priceless, but all the actors were also just really good.

NEW GIRL, "Christmas Eve Eve", December 13, 2016, Actors: Zooey Deschanel and more, The Scene: Christmas surprise for Jess
Justyna K:
Jess spends the entire episode focused on everyone getting their gifts and celebrating the holidays together, even going as far to get Reagan back to town to visit Nick. But it turns out to be quite a tough and sad day for her, especially after the fight with Nick. When her friends notice how she's feeling and understand what she's been trying to do for them, they organize a surprise gift, to show her just how important she is to them, and how much they appreciate everything she's done. It's such a beautiful sequence, a perfect holiday setting for this great show. With the music, the "snow", a surprise visit from Darlene Love and all her friends gathered, it's the exactly right gift for Jess. It's quite magical, sweet gesture and it just shows how great is the friendship between the gang. Kudos to cast & crew! Hope to see more of these wonderfully done moments in the future.

SPEECHLESS, "C-h-o-Choir", December 14, 2016, Actors: Micah Fowler, Mason Cook
The Scene: JJ and Ray argue about the Lead in the solo (picked by Marko Pekic)

SWEET/VICIOUS, "All Eyez on Me", December 13, 2016, Actors: Eliza Bennett, Dylan McTee, The Scene: Nate talks to Jules
Luana Arturi:
It's amazing how every week they give us just a little more information about what happened and our idea of the event starts to take shape. I was literally with my mouth open when he said "we cheated", and Jules reaction was so heartbreaking, since it's the first time they've spoken about it, she had no idea how he felt about what he did. Her face when she realized what his recollection of that night is, was just perfect, Eliza Bennet is killing it and more people need to notice.

TEEN WOLF, "Radio Silence", December 13, 2016, Actors: Dylan O'Brien, Tyler Posey, Holland Roden, The Scene: Stiles contacts Scott and Lydia
Justyna K:
Such a great episode! I really missed Stiles, things are not quite the same without him. I absolutely loved all the interactions between Stiles and Peter, the gang finding the Jeep, the next clue in the Ghost Riders' story and finally - Peter getting through and Scott and Malia taking his pain away. When you remember his past experiences with fire and burns, it makes his choice all the more meaningful. I'd guess that this kind of pain is the thing he's most afraid of and even though he knew what it meant, he still came back for Malia. And he made her remember him. Truly powerful moment. But in the end, it's the final scene of the episode that steals the hour for me. After these few long episodes and Lydia's desperate search, Stiles is finally able to contact his friends. His existence is no longer a question for them and they can continue to fight to get him back without any doubts. As it turns out, there's still some memory left of him when Lydia shares the last thing he told her. It's impossible, but it's hope, it's something Stiles needs the most at the moment. Just knowing that the people he loves haven't given up on him. That they remember and they're going to find him. This bond, this incredible friendship between the gang is easily one of the best things about the show and moments like this one are always memorable to me. Kudos to the amazing actors involved in the scene (and episode!). And thanks to the crew for such great work. I already miss the show and can't believe we're getting so close to the end.
Klutzy girl: On the Other Side, Stiles is about to contact Scott and Lydia through the Jeep's radio. Lydia's relief and tears at hearing his voice, knowing he's real made me emotional.

THE AFFAIR, "304", December 11, 2016, Actors: Joshua Jackson, Ruth Wilson and more, The Scene: Joanie falls off the horse
Luana Arturi:
The scene was amazing from both points of view, the bond Cole and Allison have over the loss of their child, how they understand each other, is heartbreaking. The way he realized how afraid she was, how he helped her get over her fears, and teach their child not to be afraid either, wasn't only great parenting but solidifies his place as one of my favorite characters on TV. Also picked by Darth Locke

THE MIDDLE, "A Very Marry Christmas", December 13, 2016, Actors: Patricia Heaton, Neil Flynn, Charlie McDermott, The Scene: Frankie and Mike chase their son
Klutzy girl:
After learning that Axl got married without telling them, Frankie and Mike start chasing their son into the light show. It was so random and hilarious, and one of my favorite moments of the show. I couldn't stop laughing.

YOUNGER, "Get Real", December 14, 2016, Actors: Sutton Foster, Hilary Duff
The Scene: Liza tells Kelsey the truth
Luana Arturi:
I'm so glad she finally told Kelsey the truth, I'm sure she won't know how to handle it at first, but eventually she'll understand. I really need more people to know!
