Callum Keith Rennie (Into the Forest) has booked a series regular role on the second season of Amazon’s original drama series The Man in the High Castle. Based on Philip K. • 02:35 - MOVIES: Jumanji Reboot - Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart in Early Talks to Star
Sony is getting closer to rebooting a Robin Williams classic with two of the busiest actors in town.

Sources tell Variety Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart are in early talks to star in Sony’s “Jumanji,” a new adaptation of Chris Van Allsburg’s original 1981 adventure book.

Schedules are still being worked out, as both Johnson and Hart have heavy production loads ahead, but insiders say things are moving toward a deal.

Johnson has an opening this fall with his New Line pic “Rampage” possibly shifting to 2017. The plan would be to shoot “Jumanji” before the third season of his HBO series “Ballers.” Johnson will also shoot “Fast 8” this summer, reprising his role of Agent Hobbs.

Hart is expected to shoot “The Intouchables” remake for Weinstein this summer opposite Bryan Cranston, and according to sources, working out this part of the schedule could prove difficult.

The pair showed great chemistry after co-hosting the MTV Movie Awards, and with anticipation high for their upcoming New Line action comedy “Central Intelligence,” Sony sees this as the perfect opportunity to pair the two up again for a tentpole.

  • 22:00 - MOVIES: James Cameron Announces 4 Avatar Sequels & their Christmas Release Dates
Good news for Sam Worthington! At 20th Century Fox’s CinemaCon presentation Thursday, director James Cameron took the stage to announce that his vision for the Avatar franchise has expanded further. “We’ve begun to bump up against the limitations of our art form,” said Cameron. “There’s just too much story.”

  • 22:00 - MOVIES: Ghost in the Shell - First Look Photo of Scarlett Johansson

Paramount and Dreamworks Pictures today released the first look image of Scarlett Johansson in Rupert Sanders’ Ghost in the Shell and she’s all moody purpose and dark-haired intent. The unit is devoted to stopping the most dangerous criminals and extremists, who will stop at nothing to destroy Hanka’s advancements in cyber technology. Johansson’s Lucy co-star Pilou Asbæk is also on-board to co-star.

The film is currently shooting in New Zealand. Paramount will release it domestically on March 31, 2017.
