Welcome back, my two favorite serial killers, Greg Yates and Dr. Carl Rudnick. When we saw them last, Rudnick got convicted for murder and put into the same prison as Yates. They sat across from one another, with a look, they had something planned. Well, Rudnick did...

Remember the redheaded woman that helped William Lewis break out of prison, well she has returned. For some reason she has a thing for serial killers and will do anything they want. This time she put tools and money in her lasagna and gave it to Rudnick. Rudnick's plan was to dig his way out of his cell and through the pipes. But soon, Yates learned Rudnicks's plan and decided that he would like to join Rudnick.

It all started with Yates claiming that he could bring closer to some of his victims families. Yates said he would only talk to Rollins, but as we all know, Yates has Rollins's number. So Benson called Chicago, she asked Hank Voight if he could send Lindsay to New York so she could talk to Yates. Yates likes to play mind games, instead  of giving any information about the girls, he talked about Nadia, trying to get into Lindsay's head. That visit didn't last very long, because Yates said he would only talk to Rollins. When they got back to the station Rollins was able to convince Benson to send her to Green Haven. Yates was a little more willing to talk. He said that one of the girls was turning tricks near a truck stop around Gary Indiana. After Yates gave that small amount of information, he told Rollins that "you have to give, if you want to get." What Yates wanted was to be transfer into honor block. There was one problem with that, Rudnick was in honor block and the Warden was uneasy about transferring him because she knew those two have history.  But Carisi told the Warden that he and Rudnick have an understanding and if it's was alright with her, he would like to talk to Rudnick.

Watching Carisi and Rudnick talk to one another was like watching two old "friends" walking and making small talk together. You would have never known that Rudnick was a serial killer and Carisi was the detective that put him away. But Rudnick told Carisi that if that's what Yates wants, who was he to say anything different... Soon after, Yates was moved into the cell couple doors down from Rudnick.

A deal is a deal, and the next day Benson and Dodds drove up to Green Haven, while Barba took Uber. When they got there Yates wasn't in his cell, Rudnick's cellmate, our favorite convict who loves furs way too much, hadn't seen him either. Before they knew it, Yates and Rudnick had escaped, with a nine hour head start.

With the trail of bodies that they left behind, everyone was on alert. When the detectives questioned Rudnick's cellmate again he ratted out Bronwyn Wilkins. He told the detectives that Rudnick had been planning this for months and Yates jumped in at the last minute. When Dodds and Carisi tracked down Bronwyn, they crashed in, on her husband eating Bronwyn's lasagna. The husband said that Bronwyn's had a family emergency and she took his car. They tracked the car to an backlot somewhere in the woods, and they found Bronwyn tied up in the trunk of the car. After Bronwyn was untied she told the detectives what Yates and Rudnick were headed. When they got to the harbor all they found was Rudnick near death's door in a boat, thanks to Yates. Rudnick said that all he wanted was leave the country and live a life of peace, but Yates was obsessed with revenge...

Everyone was at the hospital expect for Lindsay and Dodds, they were still look out for Yates. While driving down a back country road, they found a state trooper's car and a pick-up stopped. When Lindsay and Dodds stopped to check it out, there was gunfire.  It was clear that Yates was in the area, so Lindsay, also obsessed with revenge, went after him. Yates lead her to a cabin in the woods, where she found a little girl hiding under a bed. Lindsay heard gun fire again and headed back outside. Yates drove right passed her with that creepy smile and look on his face, saying, I have you right where I want you.. When Lindsay looked down she found a note in the little girl's father's mouth, saying "I'll see you back home, Erin"

This was a nice ending to the Greg Yates story. When the Chicago P.D tracked down Yates, they figured out that Yates was after his family. His mother and father gave him up when he was a young child, and Yates never got over it.  But with Rudnick, I don't think we have seen the last of him.
