The Mindy Project - Mindy and Nanny - Review

Mindy vs. Ma:
Ma has finally returned!!! She continues to annoy Mindy like old times when she is taking care of Leo. This causes her to hire a nanny, but she later gets fired because she puts a bad influence on her son. What's worse is that she gets sued by Ma for not paying her after she spent 100 hours taking care of Leo. In the end, she and Ma reconcile despite their off and on friendship.

Jeremy vs. Jody vs. Whitney:
Meanwhile, Whitney asks Jeremy to go to lunch with her during an important meeting. Tamra complains that she came back from Vegas for nothing and Jody is irritated at him for cancelling it. Remember in Episode 3 this season, where Tamra caught Whitney smoking coke? At first, she hesitates because she wants to mind her own business. However, thanks to the insistence of Jody, she admits to him Whitney's bad habits. I would have loved to actually see Tamra confess to him about her, which would have made it a better episode. Anyways, this causes Jody to take action and go to her workplace. He tries to pay her money to stay away from him but they end up kissing. While he babysits for Leo (I'll explain my reactions to that later), he confesses to Jeremy that he kissed her. At first, he's angry and punches him, but understands why he had to do it. Jody swore on their friendship he will never kiss any of Jeremy's lovers, which causes them to both reconcile and hug.

My Thoughts:
While this week's episode was solid, but not fantastic, it was definitely better than last week's filler. Jody still acts sexist especially when he suggested that Mindy should be Leo's nanny after she thought he was going to give her valuable advice. For example, it's not Mindy that he ONLY targets, he also targets Jeremy's now ex-girlfriend. However, he does have a good heart because he offered to babysit his frenemy (Mindy)'s son, Leo. He could have had her fired for bringing him to work, but decides to have her back when she is called for an important surgery. Also, Jeremy's song that he was going to sing to Whitney was entertaining.
