  • 22:50 - MOVIES: 'Jurassic World’ Passes ‘Avengers’ to Become Third Biggest Film in History
“Jurassic World” is now the third highest-grossing film in history, behind only “Titanic” and “Avatar.”

The dinosaur thriller has racked up $1.52 billion, pushing it past “Marvel’s The Avengers” and its $1.52 billion haul. Universal, the studio behind “Jurassic World,” has cracked the top five list of highest-grossing films twice this year after propelling “Furious 7″ to $1.51 billion globally. Prior to 2015, no Universal release had ever passed $1 billion at the worldwide box office.

“Jurassic World” has grossed $614.3 million at the domestic box office, making it only the fourth film in North American history to cross $600 million mark. It has generated an additional $907.3 million at the foreign box office.

They didn’t make an announcement about Maryse because they only “announce” what they call “recurring cast members.” I don’t know what makes someone specifically a recurring cast member, but it may have to do with number of episodes they’re in. More characters you know from the books will be getting cast in weeks to come, including more of the Lightwood family.

Thanks to Imzadi for the heads up.
The TV & Motion Picture Rights have been optioned by a major studio!! Fantasy cast (just for fun) who you see as Evie, Jack, Aric and the rest of the Arcana here. I’m so excited and can’t wait till I can give you more info.

  • 10:00 - Supernatural - Season 11 - Jeffrey Dean Morgan Would Like to Return
Thanks to Dimitri T for the heads up.
Count Jeffrey Dean Morgan among those Supernatural fans anxious for a John Winchester resurrection.

The actor — who last appeared as Sam and Dean’s late pa nearly a decade ago — tells TVLine that he wants back in bad. “I would absolutely love to come back,” he says. “There’s no official talk that I know of, but I’m always in contact with Jared [Padalecki] and Jensen [Ackles] — they’re very good friends of mine.

“With me it’s always been about scheduling,” adds Morgan, who just booked a season-long stint on The Good Wife. “But hopefully we can find a little time and they’ll write something that I can do. It would be a great joy to go back and play with those guys.”

And Morgan only has one small request of The CW: he wants Ackles to helm his comeback episode. “I would love to have Jensen direct me, honestly.” he says. “I think that would be a very cool deal. That’s always what I’ve been pushing for.”

  1. I would love to see the Arcana Chronicles on the big screen. But who knows if it will ever happen. Karen Marie Monings Fever Books, were also optioned a few years back and nothing came of it.

  2. I'm still waiting to see Barrons on screen. I feel it would be best suited to cable like HBO/Starz, Showtime etc

  3. Oh my god, a HBO or Starz series, would be a dream. Back than I always saw Kristen Bell as the female lead. I still hope that a Fever series will happen one way or another.

  4. I love whole the WINCHESTERs family very much !!!!

  5. I love JDM and I love the relationships all of these guys have outside of work but I will keep my lips zipped on John.
This does make me believe even more that we're going to get a cameo of him this season. At the least, a lot of John talk.

  6. Jared did say that one of the past characters we'll be seeing in Sam's visions "may or may not be related to the character." Andrew Dabb said that episode two sets Sam on a path, on a story that "ties back to something kind of in his past." So by episode three, which Ackles directed, Sam should be having visions.

It would be quite a feat if Jeffrey Dean Morgan already came back but they managed to keep it as a secret!

  7. I would love it but I don't love John. I'd love the throwback to earlier seasons and I have never gotten over them writing out Sam's visions. JDM did attend their Vegas Con but that was well before filming started. All I know is from all accounts, this season is the guys back together. Doing what they do best. No possessions, no secrets and lies. I'm all for that.

  8. I need a trailer for Shadowhunetrs asap.

  9. I would like to see John back or the actor to be more specific because I always felt that it was a bit weird how they brought back pretty much every single important character but not someone as big as John Winchester. It created an imbalance because Mary was brought back so many times.

There were a couple of episodes where John's absence felt especially awkward: 2.20 What Is and What Should Never Be and 5.16 Dark Side of the Moon.

(I don't count young John Winchester because he is played by a different actor. It just isn't the same.)

Jeffrey Dean Morgan also attended Asylum in the UK but had to leave earlier than expected.

I have never gotten over them writing out Sam's visions.

Yes, it was weird how they never really gave it a proper explanation or conclusion. Did Sam have visions just because of Azazel or did Sam suppress his psychic powers?

  10. JDM- Really??? = /

  11. Omggg I know this will be my new obsesion.

  12. I need OUAT mashup video now!

  13. I can't remember the messy in-show shrug off but basically Kripke just got tired of it and like a bad writer does decided to throw everything out the window.

  14. Heres the spoiler-

Dabb then elaborated that the story also means big things for Sam (Jared Padalecki). "I would also say that it sets Sam on a path and a story that in some ways will be surprising and in some ways fans have been waiting on for a long time. It ties up with something in his past." Added Padalecki: "Sam believes there's a higher power trying to contact him to tell him how to solve this problem. It's going to be really cool. We're going to see a few characters via visions that we haven't seen in Supernatural in a long time. One may or may not be related to the character."

  15. Lol the Once Upon a Hospital mashup!!

    ReplyDelete
  16. Yes, didn't he say something like they didn't know what to do with the psychic kids so they just killed all of them off?

Sam had telekinesis in 1.14 Nightmare (when he moved a cabinet out of the way with his mind so he could save Dean from Max) but it was never shown again. Because it was a one-off, it gave the impression that the writers thought that they had made a mistake in giving Sam that much power. So the way they dealt with that was to just drop it and never mention it again.

    ReplyDelete
  17. So these are the mashups coming soon, these ones are great
    Shark Mistresses
    Fresh upon A Time
    Dancing with the Goldbergs
    Rookie Chew
    Last Bachelorette Standing
    Good Morning Jimmy Kimmel

    ReplyDelete
  18. That was just wasted potential IMO, I loved where they were initially going with it. It was a big mistake to drop all that, but whatever.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Thats for now, according to the mashups endings, I hope they do sth with AOS.

  23. One thing that confuses me is whether or not Dean is also having premonitions.

    From Screenfad:

When asked if Dean will have a particular connection to the Darkness, Ackles was very intrigued by the question. He added “and where is the Mark, is [also a big] question. There’s certainly some questions, some big questions that need to be answered as far as how, what, why, when, where and what’s going to happen. Whether or not it becomes some sort of an inner-connection because Dean did wear the Mark and now the Mark is, essentially, the key to whatever this was, there might be a connection. What [that connection is exactly], I don’t know. I haven’t seen it in the first four episodes, but there have been some flashes of things, some premonitions, so to speak. I don’t think….and I hope he doesn’t, because I’m done kind of playing the guilt that Dean feels, [but] I think he’s over the guilt. I think he’s [saying] ‘I made my bed, I’m going to lie in it’.”

When I first watched the video interview, I got the impression that Dean will have premonitions, too. But reading the transcript gives me the impression that Jensen was just referring to there being "some flashes of things, some premonitions" in general. Since he says that he hasn't seen a connection between Dean and the darkness in the first four episodes, that seems to imply that Sam is the only one who is having visions or dreams or memories that might not be his.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Are those the only ones left for the "coming up " list?

    ReplyDelete
  25. I think a lot of people have misrepresented the interview.

Yes. That's the thing. I've seen people comment that both Dean and Sam will be having visions. To be fair, Jensen was pretty unclear when he answered the question.

    ReplyDelete
  26. These are suppose to be jokes. Don't waste your time waiting for more mash-up videos.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Wow, go Jurassic World! The Avengers has always been overrated to me so I'm happy to hear it's number is up.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I'm really surprised Jurassic World is doing so well, I thought it was pretty boring.

    ReplyDelete
  29. it was a fun flick. Not really loyal to the older movies but still fun. Like the Avengers a fun sci-fi action flick.

The only thing I'm worried about now is Chris Pratts career, remember the guy starring in Avatar? Yeah....Sam Worthingtons career really didn't go anywhere after that

    ReplyDelete
  30. He's a solid actor, also his portrayal of John was pretty good. Sure John isn't really likable and joins the ranks of horrible CW fathers (let's make a list: Guiseppe Salvatore, Mikael, Malcolm Merlyn and John Winchester...seriously theCW seems to have its own anti-dad agenda :P) but it's fair to add that when JDM actually left the show John wasn't portrayed as "that bad" of a guy.

It was only later that they started implying John physically abusing the boys. Until he left John was "on the outside cold but on the inside full of love" hardass dad.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Sam Worthington is who I thought of as well, he showed up in a load of movies at once and then was gone again and Pratt is showing up in a load of things now too. Worthington still has the Avatar sequels I guess.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Dude why are you defending him? I love Jeff. Hahahaha and I liked John. I'm just not on the "Oh please come back after ten yrs" train. I mean the man's had a decent run as an actor since he left the show, (some rather crappy works, not all great) I don't want him "resurrected" b/c they decided to kill everyone else on the show (sarcasm yet true) if he makes a cameo as a ghost, that's fine. But it's still SO ridiculous to have him come back after soooo many years of him being gone. Everyone who ever got killed on the show "came back" in one way or another, was always able to "be found" except him. What excuse could they use? Heaven, Hell, Purgatory, Alternate Reality, Eve's Garden, Hell's prison, Heaven's prison, TV Land, they've been To all these places, they've been everywhere, and he wasn't around, never shown. I mean what would they say? He was up God's ass? His spirit isn't any different from Mary's, Bobby's, Ellen, Jo's, etc. Whatever they say now would be so laughable. I'd have a hard time swallowing any excuse they had, IF he were brought back.

    ReplyDelete
  33. lol sorry,
I'm always kinda sensitive where John is concerned due to the lengths the writers went to make the character unlikable after the actor left the show.

I was more going for some super-powerful entity having taken Johns and Marys souls to use them against Sam and Dean in what was intended to be the final conflict

    ReplyDelete
  34. It's cool. I get it.

As for your theory, ehhh, iI guess i could buy that. (That's actually pretty good) But what I was getting at is that Mary's (the actress) returned. Numerous times. Whether it was a dream state, or heaven, or memory, she's returned. So it's different for me. Like it didn't HAVE to be her, but we knew it was, you know what i mean? (Hope i explained that in a way you get it) If JDM had shown up at least twice, then i'd feel better about this bit if info, but after sooo long it just feels like a moot point.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Dont think it matters that people dont like John or think he was a bad father if he's only appearing to Sam. Its Dean's relationship with John that was destroyed and through Dean's opinion that most people turned on John. Sam made his peace with John in season 5 and they as such would be building a whole new relationship. They could make him a completely different John to what we've previously seen? The same could be done for Mary as Sam has never had much to do with the real Mary so again the writers could start from scratch.
Dean's 'Bad John' and 'Saint Mary' view has really been a bone of contention with me over the years. Fair enough that he realised that John wasnt a good father and started complaining about his treatment from John as the years went on but that was after years of blindly defending John and berating Sam for not having a high opion of John even though Sam had as much cause to complain as Dean did. But his putting Mary on a pedistal imo has been really sad esp since she wasnt innocent in the whole mess. She greatly contributed to a mess that John was left to deal with, who knows how she would have been as a mother had she survived. I take Dean's opions of his parently quite literally as those of a angry, naive child.

Also the spoiler sort of suggests that Sam thinks God is trying to communicate with him via these visions so maybe they're just using people/faces that Sam recognises but not the actual characters as we know them?

    ReplyDelete
  36. If Jensen helm Jeffrey Dean Morgan, his virtual dad, will be very interesting, after directing his real father Alan Ackles in the season 8. JENSEN is always A VERY TALENTED ACTOR and A VERY GOOD DIRECTOR !!!!!
