Fox's Sleepy Hollow reinvention continues.
The network has tapped Crisis alum Lance Gross for a major recurring role in its upcoming third season, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Gross will play Daniel Reynolds, the FBI special agent in charge — aka Abbie's (Nicole Beharie) new boss.
Gross becomes the latest addition to the rebooted Fox drama and joins new series regulars Nikki Reed — as Betsy Ross — and Shannon Sossamon (as mystery woman Pandora). The series, which moved from North Carolina to Atlanta, is undergoing a creative reboot under new showrunner Clifton Campbell (The Glades).

Whatever her happened to her old captain?
ReplyDeleteSo far they haven't said how Captain Irving will leave, to my knowledge. I hope they don't kill him off. I liked him. And he could always visit again someday down the line if needed (though I don't know how likely a future visit will be since it sounds like Orlando didn't choose to leave the show).
ReplyDeleteCourse, then again, even if they kill him off, this being a supernatural show, he could still find a way to come back in that regard, so...:D. Still, I personally hope he has a nice exit.
It would be a true slap in the face to the fans - and to Orlando Jones - to "kill off" Irving in the season 2 midseason finale and bring him back, only to kill him off for real in season 3. His departure is just one of many things that are making me feel uneasy about season 3.

ReplyDeleteI agree that it would be a slap in the face. However, I really don't see them doing that again, killing him off for real. l think they'll just write him out and he'll move somewhere else being happy with his family. After everything Irving has been through, I wouldn't doubt him taking his second chance and hitting the road. Putting all his Sleepy Hollow memories behind him.
ReplyDeleteAs am I, because of that reason and just season 2 as a whole. It really can't get any worse i'm honestly optimistic about season 3.
