  1. Already not liking this season!
Step away from that Olitz storyline Shonda and everything will be okay.

  2. Yay!
As long as there are b613 were good

  3. This is exactly what she needs to step towards!! They are the heart of Scandal!

  4. She got a lot of hate for separating them last season

  5. I find them very toxic for the show. They consumate to much space/time and add way too much unnecessary drama, at least it was that way the recent couple of times she tried to go there. In S04B she went 1 step too far and they barely shared scenes, after that post kidnapping blow out.
I know they are most likely end game, if she doesn't decide to kill him (which I'm not opposed to), but I would love to see Fitz have his own story for once and not live life through his women.

  6. About Time the show finally put Olivia and Fitz together. Scandal Season 5 starting off on the right track. Promote Olitz.

  7. Smart move by Shonda to reunite them in the finale and continue into S5. Scandal has lost its way with the B613 crap and Papa Pope obsession.

  8. The show isn't about Fitz though. Scandal is not the West Wing.

Ironically, if Shonda was able to refrain from writing Olitz as if they were angsty teens, they wouldn't appear to be a toxic mess. It's funny that you say that they take up too much time and space, but actually, they don't. If they average out at even two minutes per episode, I'll be surprised.

The thing is, they are who the fans want to discuss the most, be it fans who hate them or fans who love them. That's why it seems like they take over everything. But in truth, their interaction in season 4, even during the first half wasn't anywhere near excessive, and the second half of the season, well they were mostly separated.

The reality is, the most overbearing plot line has been B613. That more than Olivia and Fitz dragged the show to low depths in seasons three and four.

  9. OK, take away Olitz, what other storylines are enthralling you on Scandal? Huck turning into a rabid dog that needs shooting? B613? Rowan's apparent obsession with his daughter's vagina? Mellie's faux political journey that was smoothed out for her by her husband and his mistress, despite her inability to engage in any kind of diplomacy? Cyrus being forced to marry a prostitute? Scott Foley's wooden acting making Darth Vader seem like an emotional wreck in comparison?

I've watched this show from season 1, and I can tell you, the only story I was interested in was the Olivia and Fitz relationship, like it or not, that's what the fans loved about the show, and if it wasn't for Shonda's inability to write adult characters who behave like adults, they would still be beloved by most of the fans now. As it is, they are still what the die-hards tune in for.

I hate this kind of promos.

  11. Still Fitz is a character in the show and deserves an individual storyline. How is Mellie getting one.

Currently they really doesn't spent to much time together, but I stated that as well. I mean they were never boyfriend-girlfriend, they are just lovers and their relationship was under so much pressure always. But still I don't like how they write him in their interactions.
    Overall I'm not a fan.

Yes B613 took most from the show and I hope it'll bounce back but still I won't appreciate any Olitz "drama". Do them or skip them?

  12. I like the whole set up and mentality of OPA. Their dynamic and way of handling all of the cases was the most appealing part of the show. Quinn's development is amazing so far and I really hope she chases Huck out of OPA and makes him go on a special rehab process.
I like Jake, like the actor and he is a nice counter to Fitz.
"Rowan's obsession with his daughter's vagina" lmao. I give U that, but the way they write Rowan is so good at times, but the way he describes his daughter in the life of her man is so disgusting.

Ugh if Scandal season 5 is all about the relationship of Olivia and Fitz I'm dropping this show. I hate the two of them together. Cringing at this promo.

  14. Can't say i'm surprised by this promo. I expect as we get closer to the season premiere, Olitz being "back on" is going to be a huge selling point.

  15. Fans who complain about Olitz when the relationship has been at the center of the show since the pilot episode really annoy me. Season 3 and 4 were a mess because Shonda tried to turn a political show with a sexy hidden love story into a spy show (Alias/24 lite).

The show needs to re-focus on Olivia, her OPA team (more of Quinn, Huck, and Marcus), Olivia's friendship with Abby and her relationship with Fitz. That was the original premise which was successful.

Let the conflict with Cyrus, Lizzie and Mellie be a storyline. But also show some growth by
having the presidential divorce and then the president dating a younger black woman which results in a huge scandal. Olivia having an open relationship with Fitz will result in a lot of drama - public reaction, impact on her career, stepchildren, etc. Let's see Mellie surviving on her own with the political career she dreamed of having but did no work to earn it. Give Cyrus a talk show to compete with Sally Langston.

Absolutely no more of B613 including Papa Pope and irrelevant Jake.

  16. I know I am in a minority but I really don't like Olivia and Fitz together. I am okay with they forbidden fruit and each one being their consummate love they can never have but the two together sort of negates the whole premise of the show, which is scandal. I honestly prefer Jake to Fitz. Putting the two together I think ruins the ambience of the show. Just my opinion!

  17. Olivia and Jake together are boring as hell. They have no sexual chemistry. Scandal is not a CW show where pretty people should hook up because they look pretty. Plus what is scandalous about that boring non-relationship? Even Senator Edison and Olivia were more interesting.

Putting Olivia and Fitz together openly creates more scandal and story lines.

  18. Well as I said it is my opinion. The same could be said about Olivia and Fitz being two pretty powerful people. For me and I respect how you feel, the scandal are those few forbidden moments when they give into how they feel about each other and have a stolen passionate scene. I would be okay if they never got together but I like that they love each other. In just like Jake better as a characters I like Tony Goldwyn and have enjoyed him in many shows but I find his character boring and emotionless. To me, Jake is way more real.
