  3. Soo amazing!!! I have never looked forward to a OUAT season as much as i am now!

  4. Interesting. Can't wait to see Emma as the Dark One.
But also can't wait to see Hook be the one to save her. Maybe a Hook & Henry team up?

  10. I don't know if nobody has mentioned it because it's obvious or just hasn't noticed but the Black Swan reference is perfect.

  11. Just what I thought about (the black swan reference) when first seeing the poster.

  12. Great poster! I'm so excited about #DarkSwan ! I hope they will have the guts to go far with Evil!Emma because it will be such an amazing ark for JMO,her character and everyone else!

  13. I sure hope they will adapt that character from the Swan Lake.

Heard that JMo went to study old tales to prepare her new role, and since the ballet is inspired from German legends… GOD I CAN'T WAIT.

  22. Meh. Black Swan rip-off, anyone?

  23. The only thing that interests me this season will be the role Regina will play in helping Emma. Her parents, her boyfriend, her son... their role is pretty obvious. Regina is a bit more difficult to guess since she has her dumb storyline with Robin Hood and Zelena on the side. I can only hope the writers have learned from their mistake of last year and don't keep Regina away from the main plot for all of 5A.

  24. Eyes. Coincidence?

  25. Eyes. Coincidence? I do not think so.

  26. Kind of the point.

  27. Isn't the point to be a bit original though? It's like they can't even be bothered to have their own poster for the show. It's sad.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I bet it will be Regina who save her.

  29. This poster is beautiful

  30. Not impressed. Slight Phantom of the Opera vibe. Can't we get something with the actress herself rather than just a drawing that looks like a mask? I've seen some great fan art of Dark Emma that actually looks like Emma, just darker.

  31. Personally, I hope they keep Regina to a minimum. Since she reformed, she's gotten pretty boring. Let her babysit Zelena and make kissy faces with Robin Hood. Maybe Zelena can draw the Evil Queen out again, because that's the Regina I like! Rip out some hearts, enslave a huntsman--those were the days!

    Photoshop is a plague !

    ReplyDelete
  33. Yeah, you're probably right! There's been a ton of fan art for Dark Emma going around since last spring, and it was generally similar, envisioning Emma with wild hair, dark makeup, etc. Once I got that picture in my head, anything else was bound to be disappointing. The show encourages fan art, though, so they set themselves up.

  34. I totally disagree. Regina still has her bite when she is away from Robin Hood and that stupid storyline. Her pixie-dust romance made her whiny and pathetic, but when she doesn't revolve around Robin, she's still good ol' mayor Mills. Snarky and sarcastic. It would be interesting to see her team up with Hook in the searh for Emma because she keeps throwing shade at him. And maybe that'd keep Hook from being all manpain all the time. I couldn't care less about Zelena and Robin. Zelena is OTT and Robin is paperwall. If Zelena could get a redemption story, apologize to Robin and then get the hell out of town with him and their kids, I'd be fine with it.

    ReplyDelete
  35. See, for me, it's not just about her having bite. I want her to be full-on evil again. I want her to be the villain, the one the Charmings and Emma have to fight. She's just so good at it. I want "I will destroy your happiness if it's the last thing I do." Not sure if there's any way to get back to that at this point, though.

    ReplyDelete
  36. No, she'll likely never go back to this because the whole show basically revolved around her redemption for 3 seasons until she got her light magic. So now Regina will do "evil" things to further a good cause (see: taking Belle's heart to play Rumple, taking out the Lost Boy's heart to control him and help in saving Henry, etc). I like that Regina had a believable redemption arc, unlike some other characters who did nothing but were rewarded nonetheless. If they keep Regina out of the main plot like they did in 4A, it will be boring. She's a central piece of the show. I'd say Regina, Emma, Henry, Snow and Rumple are the only ones who can't disappear without completely altering the show. Even though I like Charmine and don't mind Belle, they could die or something and the show could still go on.

    ReplyDelete
  37. See, I didn't think Regina's "redemption" was believable in the least. The woman murdered an entire village, sent God knows how many children to die in the blind witch's house, cursed an entire nation because a 10-yr-old told a secret, raped Graham for 28 years and then murdered him--shall I go on? Yet have we heard a single "I'm sorry"? Nope. In fact, she said in Neverland that she regrets nothing she's done because it brought her Henry. Wow, that is some great moral code! I suppose we could all gloss over Hitler's crimes, too, if he had just adopted a child. Seriously, Regina's redemption is a joke. Let her go back to being the villain she is.

Regina was important to the plot when she was the antagonist. Now they have to give her lame, contrived plot lines like finding the author to make her relevant. ("Oh woe is me! Why did he write me as a villain?" Uh, maybe because you were a serial killer? Just a guess.) If they hadn't made Robin and Zelena regulars, they could have killed her off without altering the show at all, other than making Henry cry a little. The real story is Emma finding her way in the world--finding her parents, her son, and her true love, Killian. They've tried to make Regina relevant by making her Emma's friend, but it's not very believable. At this point, her only real purpose is to continue the soap opera plot re Zelena raping Robin and getting pregnant. That story is mildly entertaining, but not really vital to the show. Oh, and they'll call on her now and again when they need some magic, but with Maleficent and Lily in town now, she's not essential for that purpose, either.

  38. See, now, I am done with this conversation. You have made your bias very clear. You do not like Regina. You are a CaptainSwan fan and absolutely against Regina (seriously, comparing her to Hitler?!) and you even negate all the good things she's done to try and make up for some of the evil she's done. She is the ONLY character on this show who has tried to atone for her crimes. "Have we heard a single I'm sorry?" As a matter of fact, we have. Regina apologized to Belle in season 3 (Hook didn't, despite having tried to kill her three times), Regina gave Ariel the legs she always wanted so that she could find her TL Eric (yet Hook took credit for reuniting them even though he actually worked against Ariel to get his ship back). Regina was ready to die at the end of season 2 to give everyone in town time to escape with the bean that Hook stole.
I mean, you can dislike a character, but don't be so obviously biased because it really turns people like me off a discussion that could have been interesting. I don't mean this as an insult at all, but it seems to me that you have "shipper-goggles" on and therefore unable to be objective in a discussion about the most polarizing characters of OUAT. Peace out.

  39. It has nothing to do w/ shipping. I actually really liked Graham and Neal. I simply think Regina's crimes were too horrific to see her anything other than evil. I always felt it was silly when the Charmings started acting buddy-buddy w/ her. It's unrealistic. They should have slapped those magic handcuffs on her, locked her in a cell, and thrown away the key.

I agree Hitler analogies are usually over the top, like calling Bush or Obama Hitler. But when someone slaughters the entire population of a town, the yes, the Hitler comparison is well-deserved. And giving a mermaid back her legs doesn't resurrect those kids' whose bones lie in the Blind Witch's house. Sorry, but Regina is the most evil character on the show (w/ possible exception of Cora). I wish the show would embrace it and let her be the deliciously evil villain she was meant to be.

  40. Okay ... - is that supposed to be Emma or what? Or the phantom of the opera?

    ReplyDelete
  41. I feel that's exactly what they're ripping off here...
