I can't wait to see Richard Armitage as The Tooth Fairy and Hannibal wearing the iconic face mask. So epic.

  7. Chilton taunting Hannibal in his cell is probably the thing I'm most anticipating. It's going to be deliciously good fun!

  8. All because of Amazon we probably won't get a season 4 it's such a shame.

  9. Oh a three year jump and not a year like I had thought!!!!
And interesting they didn't mention other reoccurring characters or Chiltin for that matter (It's just not the same with out him getting what he always wanted)

  11. "I tell you things. You tell me things." ;)

I kind of wish that was saved for CS thought---Hannibal's more neutral there, unlike how he should be here...

I hope he'll escape in the season final.

  14. If we don't' get another season, which I fear we won't right now, I hope they end on maybe a little glimpse of Hannibal in his cell being introduced to Clarice to set up that future that the book readers and film viewers know all about. Even if it's just a mere quick glimpse I really want to see that.

  15. Won't happen. Considering how Silence of the Lambs has him in prison. And dude he's the villain.

  16. I wish to see Clarice too.
Still, I sadly believe that we will never have it all... so I hope to see one of my favourite scenes ever with Will. Carpe diem ;)

  17. All I care is that Hannibal is caught this season, thank god they didn't stray too far away from the story.

  18. Am I the only one that haven't seen the movies?

Chilton taunting Hannibal? lol You're not seriöusly thinking Chilton is wining this game?

  20. Although I disagree with Graydon that he's a villain in SOTL, IMO he is more neutral, he should still be imprisoned for a bit until we [would of gotten] got past Silence of the Lamb's era, which I heard wouldn't have been a smooth transition or at the beginning of season 4, but either later in the season or season 5 even! But it's suppose to be through Clarice he escapes, making a rather interesting juxtaposition that he will not only associate her more aptly with Mischa, but also his freedom...

  21. I was referring to how Debsterforever wants him to escape at the end of the season, which won't happen because of Silence of the Lambs. I meant he's the villain as in the villain of the show so far. Te biggest bad we've had and it seems kinda creepy that Debsterforever is so behind Lecter and wants him to escape any sort of punishment as though he's not the villain.

  22. They choose to use his name as the title...usually this implies the title character is a protagonist. The two books/films that include his name, he very much is a protagonist there...

The problem just lies in that the people who don't know the source material, don't have too much to go on, on knowing his past, so they can't understand why he's doing all of this. Argumentatively, Hannibal is an example in film and literature that examines what a "criminal" (not a villain) is, when humanity has a whole history of corruption, assimilation, and violence. Even the Hannibal novel explores how the FBI has become corrupt. In Red Dragon Jack Crawford pushes Will too far, in Hannibal, he abandons Clarice when the rest of the FBI come to look down on her, simply because she's woman and she's decant.

But Hannibal it's still obvious IMO that these people and Hannibal care very much for each other, because they have all changed each other, being a villain and getting caught is moot, because it's not the point of this whole experience. It's just a by product of US law and order and presumably (if we follow suit to the novel), Will Grahams belief system.

  23. He can't escape, not because he's a villain and deserves it, but because Will Graham can't kill him. (and in this version, I think Jack Crawford will be the bigger reason why neither gets to finish each other off) Will Graham was not a previously a villain of any sort either prior to season 2, and he too had been put behind bars/was caught--not because he's a villain. It has more do with how the story has "already" been written in terms of the event history of the novels, not because simply Hannibal is a villain.
