    Oliver's son is not Connor Hawke. He is someone else. Connor is mixed-race and MG is drawing attention to that fact by saying this kid cannot be Connor.

    a) Actors normal play younger then their own age so he could be playing a VERY mature 14 year old.
    b) they could SORAS his son to 15 yrs old
    c) the singularity could have changed the date Oliver and his mother conceived him or even who the moher is.

    Oliver is 30. In order to have a 13-15 year old kid, he would have had to be 15-17 years old. It's not impossible but it is certainly unlikely.


    Also MG has stated repeatedly that the singularity in The Flash will not ret-con ANYTHING already established in the Arrow universe.

    IMDB is pretty unreliable though. They often say actors are attached and they never show up in the show. It's possible they are casting his son but I just can't imagine they'd use a 17 year old to play a 10 year old in the premiere episode.

    Yessss. I was right. Oliver's kid is going to be introduced but it won't be Connor. Baby mama is not Sandra. Marc didn't even confirm if it's a boy or a girl. My theories were right. Marc said Connor and Sandra won't be on the show but not Oliver's kid and baby mama. Bravo me.

    He is listed as Ethan/ Connor Hawke/Queen! And obviously that won't happen.
    Still Oliver would've been 17 if the kid plays a 14, so no way that the Oliver we saw in the fbs was 17.
    A singularity that happened on The Flash to have this much impact on the show? NO WAY.
    And it's IMDB, I can go and list myself as Connor Hawke.

    I'm not that interested in the introduction of the child in S4, wait until S5. If it does turn out to be the actor on the IMDB page, he does look older than he needs to be. In S3 during the crossover, when Oliver sees the mom in the coffee shop, she is picking up a hot chocolate for her child. I know you can have hot chocolate at any age, but the way she preformed her dialog made me think the child was young and no older than 10 at least.

    Well I'm guessing he's saying Connor Hawke was mixed race and that was a huge part of his character. So maybe they're unwilling to change that for Arrow. They didn't want to change that so they're leaving him out of the story.

    I wanted the kid to be Connor, but I'm happy with the kid getting an appearance. So I'm fine.

    "The actor also believes the last minute reveal of Oliver's son on "The Flash" last year during the shows' crossover arc "deserves greater attention." He noted that one of the rules executive producer Greg Berlanti set for the show includes not teasing a plot unless they intend to follow through with it. "I think it's a safe bet that Oliver will find out about his child [in Season Four]."

    Well it's probably not Connor (Guggenheim's a known troll and race lifts have been done in this shown, so until it happens I'm not writing it off). That's sad. And now a ten year-ol will be on Arrow.

    Exactly. Most of the websites thought this all happened (the pregnancy) right before Oliver got shipwrecked. Maybe a year or so before that. So he would have been in his late teens/early 20s (19-22 age). The oldest child he could have would be 11ish. A 17 year old actor is WAY too old for that.

    Dude being mixed race made Connor a victim of bullying, and therefore anger and was the whole reason he was trained by monks. Training which led him to meeting Oliver. Don't just assume it's nonsense. It's actually important.

    I don't care for the long lost kid trope but what can I do? I've accepted it.
    I'm just happy my theories were right because I was met with such dismissal when I said the kid won't be Connor but he will be introduced.

    He was deep into his relationship with Laurel and I think people are right to assume it happened before the shipwreck, maybe a couple of months before that.
    We'll have to wait and see it unfold if it happens.

    No. But it was still key to his character. (Also straw man fallacy) But we don't know if Guggenheim is trolling and since Connor's heritage played such a part, I don't believe writing off his comment (which he's been consistent makes sense. He could be, we don't know. I'm not convinced either way though. Just gonna wait for four.

    I agree. I would imagine if they plan to introduce him, they'll do so towards the end of the season. Oliver is starting to settle down in her personal life so this would be an unexpected addition to a life he's starting to balance. To introduce him earlier would probably mess with the flow of getting a new persona and fighting "pure evil" Damien Darhk.

    I'm not that familiar with the comic book history of the characters, I knew Connor was trained by Monks but not that he wasn't Caucasian. I didn't even assume it cause of Sandra Hawke's name. It didn't cross my mind.
    We'll have to wait and see what they have in store, one of my theories is that Rip Hunter is his son, the actor who plays him just seems like he would be O's son. But when I thought of that I meant him to be Olicity's son. And before U say that RH is Buster Gold's son I know it, but they could change it.

    I'm not a comic book reader per se but I do tend to look up their histories after they are introduced. I would be concerned if RH was Oliver's kid because I wonder how they'd explain away he was from East London. I just think those acrobatics would be difficult.

    I understand what you're saying but the shows try to be as consistent as possible. I can't imagine they would age a child that much for story purposes. I could understand 10 to 12 but 10 to 14 is a big gap. Plus Oliver would have been 16 at the time of conception.

    I don't think it will. Felicity loves Oliver. If being a former assassin didn't make her stop loving him, then definitely a kid won't do it. Plus he didn't know her at the time. He's a different man now.

    Oliver himself doesn't know he has a kid lol.

    Rip Hunter is traditionally (and probably) Booster Gold's kid. And from the future (and by that I mean 22nd century at least considering Eobard's comments and the whole you're legends bit). But it is possible. I guess.

    Well it hasn't actually been confirmed a child will be introduced. It's been speculated by the actors. Also Stephen Amell only said he thought Oliver would "find out" about his kid.

    I agree. I think he's trying to say "Look we're not doing Connor Hawke. I can give you a bunch of reasons but we're not doing him." I also noted the Roy Harper thing. Although I guess...he could have been mixed if they really wanted to go there. We didn't know his parents or heritage so technically they could still say he was mixed but looked white. Also technically Colton Haynes has Cherokee ancestry (way back when according to his bio).

    He is a time travler or protector of time so everything about him is vague, to say at least. He could start protecting time in near future after The Flash shakes things up and later travel to the future to creat the council or whatever.

    Well yes, they could have but they didn't for all the episodes he was in and he was really just this typical rough-around-the-edge white street kid. The only thing memorable about his past that stays true to the comics is that he fabricated a story about her mother as if he is unaware of who his mother really is, much like in the comics where Roy has no recollection of who his mother is and also his father is still Roy Harper, Sr on Arrow too.
