The SpoilerTV 2015 Episode Competition - Day 5 - Round 1: Polls 17-20

20 Jun 2015

DAY 5! (Results from yesterday can be found here.)

The rules are as follows:
1. Two episodes go head to head for 24 hours. The episode that emerges as winner will go through to the next round.
2. Vote for your favourite episode, and tell us what you voted for.
3. Tell others about the competition! Social media is your best friend in this competition if you want your favourite episode to win.
4. Be respectful. This is a competition, but be friendly. Let's not have any abuse directed at any person, fandom or show, as we've had on occasion in the past.

The number one seed in the competition starts off day five as Person of Interest's 'If-Then-Else' takes on Bates Motel's 'Unconscious'. Next up, The Mentalist's 'Little Yellow House goes up against Daredevil's 'Shadows in the Glass'. Game of Thrones' 'The Mountain and the Viper', which only made this competition by one day, faces Suits' 'This Is Rome'. Finally, Parks and Recreation's 'Leslie and Ron' is up against the series finale of the beloved one-and-done Forever.

The draw:

Don’t forget to share the post; the more people vote, the more chance your episode has of winning!

Check back tomorrow for the next set of polls from round 1!

  4. Why have you not watched POI yet lol?

  5. 1) Nothing - I didn't last very long watching POI and I only just started watching Bates Motel so I'm not caught up yet.
    2) Daredevil: "Shadows in the Glass": By default, I've never watched The Mentalist
    3) Suits: "This is Rome": Love Suits although that's not the episode I would've chosen. Didn't last very long watching GOT either.
    4) Nothing - Never watched Parks and Rec and I dropped Forever before I got to that episode.

  8. If-Then-Else all the way baby.

  9. Same, I'm surprised that's the one that got nominated. If it was any episode where Mike was still at the investment bank place I wouldn't have voted, I hated those episodes.

  10. I did too even though we had some great PJA/GM acting, I hated to storyline.

  11. Just Suits today.

  23. Daredevil and Game of Thrones for me today. That GoT episode is one of my all time favourites. I watched all of the Daredevil episodes right after one another, so I must admit I have a hard time telling them apart.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I cant believe Shield lost yesterday, damn!

    Today
Person of Interest on the first one, a truly spectacular episode of television
    No vote on the second
The brilliant episode of Game of Thrones on the third one, I still miss Pedro Pascal on the show. As much as I love Suits and would like to support it in the competition, this one is hard to beat
    No vote on the forth

Obviously Person of Interest, Daredevil, Game of Thrones and Parks and Recreation. So far most of these match ups have been surprisingly easy choices for me.

  38. Goodbye Revenge, ∞x∞19 June 2015 at 18:55

I will. Not until recently did I realize what a gem this sight was! I love it here!

    ReplyDelete
  39. The site is pure excellence! I am so Glad i discovered it. Meanwhile, next to TV line it is the only TV site i visit

    ReplyDelete
  40. I definitely will.

    ReplyDelete
  41. It shouldn't be surprising considering this is the show that takes over the People's Choice awards every single year. I am surprised they managed to get around the one vote per IP address.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I don't know.I have so many shows on air currently,it's very difficult to binge watch atm and POI needs undivided attention which i don't have currently.I'll try to to catch up by this year's end.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Only Person of Interest for me today. Would vote for Daredevil but I haven't seen that particular episode yet.

    ReplyDelete
  44. SUPERNATURAL is SUPER!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Supernatural is not even up today?!

    ReplyDelete
  46. Usually I'd be disappointed that someone binged something else over POI but I'll make an exception for the ever-amazing Banshee :)

    ReplyDelete
  47. Person of Interest and Game of Thrones for me today. If-Then-Else was one of the most brilliant, innovative episodes I've seen and that GoT episode was just plain awesome - even if I hated the way the fight ended.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Bates Motel & GOT for me today, but that was a great episode of POI (and it's winning anyways) and I am sure if I would have seen Daredevil, that I would of voted for it! :)

    ReplyDelete
  49. Nope! I voted for it LOL!

    ReplyDelete
  50. The Mentalist all the way. :) Hope it wins.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Just Forever for me today.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Flashforward 19 hours - your vote for Bates Motel gave it the edge and POI gets knocked out ;)

  53. Justyna Kubica19 June 2015 at 22:49

Person of Interest, Daredevil & Game of Thrones.

    ReplyDelete
  54. POI

Glad to see YHWH went through!

    ReplyDelete
  55. Forever's The Last Death of Henry Morgan for me. I miss this show already.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Voted Person Of Interest's If-Then-Else, masterpiece.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Accusing people of cheating is unnecessary. There are many Beauty and the Beast fans and they all can vote legitimately to win. This smacks of sour grapes.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I'm not accusing people cheating, I am congratulating them on successfully playing the system. There's a difference.

    ReplyDelete
  59. That is a backwards way of saying that they could never have legitimately won on their own, that they had to find a way to multivote to succeed. In other words, sour grapes. There is a huge BatB fandom out there and they have won plenty of polls and contests here. To grouse about them winning like this just makes you look bad and it doesn't do SHIELD any favors either.

    ReplyDelete
  60. I've got 8 episodes in the next two rounds to vote for and I just don't know what I'm going to do. I love these competitions.

    ReplyDelete
  61. My votes:

    1. Person of Interest - If-Then-Else (I really enjoyed the way this episode used the Machine to determine the outcome of any given decision. It was an interesting storytelling device.)

    2. N/A

    3. Game of Thrones - The Mountain and the Viper (I miss Oberyn, but his arrogance cost him that fight.)

    4. Forever - The Last Death of Henry Morgan (I'm thankful that the showrunner, Matt Miller gave the viewers a resolution to so many plot points in this series finale and in episode #21, "The Night in Question", but I would have preferred another season.)

    ReplyDelete
  62. Person of Interest (just started watching and I love it), Daredevil (how the hell is it not winning!?), Game of Thrones (not one of my top episodes but a solid one still), and Forever.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Nope. Aside from "How to Get Away with Murder", my shows aren't having much luck in this competition so far :p. Eh, well. There's lots of tough competition here, so it's understandable. Still rooting on for my picks regardless!

    ReplyDelete
  64. Person of interest
    Daredevil
    Game of thrones
    Parks and Recreation

    ReplyDelete
  65. Woah, had no idea The Mentalist was so popular here on SpoilerTV, I thought it would be a walk in the park for DD

    ReplyDelete
  66. Yep, it's proven very popular here over the years. If you look at the hall of fame

    http://www.spoilertv.com/2014/10/the-spoilertv-hall-of-fame-page.html

It was runner up last year in this comp, and was also runner up in Favourite Network and Crime categories :)
