ReplyDeleteThe100 for the win. It was a brilliant goodbye to Finn and probably the best episode of the season or at least tied with the first part of the S02 finale.

I am really looking forward. I will watch episodes 5-10 of season 5 next week. Work has been really stressful and i have had zero time to watch TV

Let's see if there is another crash of titans happening like yesterday although I think yesterday will be an hard one to beat. I am sad No Sanctuary was cut but at least it put up a good fight and had the Outlander fans coming in full force to prevent it from happening.

Anything can win. The Musketeers beat Supernatural for example. That shocked me considering Supernatural has a large following.

ReplyDeleteFor me it is the opposite. The only good thing for me that came from TWD loosing against No Sanctuary is that it prevented me from having to make a choice between No Sanctuary and Hardhome which I am really not sure I would ever be able to do. Now I can support GOT!

ReplyDeleteThe Musketeers is growing in popularity here though (thanks mostly to Sandi) and Supernatural fans seem to be split in opinions over the last few seasons. It isn't the monster it once was.
ReplyDeleteI think that's kind of a miracle since GOT is one of the hardest shows to avoid spoilers. Do you know that here in Portugal they actually showed a huge spoiler in the nightly news? It was crazy. Thank god I actually seen the episode otherwise I would have been furious.

ReplyDeleteHere they put it there making some sort of report about the fan outcry; I think they did the same for Red Wedding actually. I was like "how horrible, you are spoiling it to everyone who hasn't watched". But GOT is always everywhere, almost all my friends watch it so everytime I open facebook there is an insane amount of spoilers and reactions to the episodes lol. I really need to watch it right away to avoid the spoilers.

All the way!!! I'm really pulling for If-Then-Else considering it's one of the most innovative (multiple simulations FTW!) and brilliant episodes of television I've ever seen. I really think it has a fighting chance! Also THAT ending, the flashbacks, and the soundtrack!! Phenomenal. Just phenomenal.

This year has been really cruel to me, I've consistently had episodes I loved paired up and then polls in which I watched nothing. Today is probably the first day in which it doesn't happen to me at all. But yeah, this is the silver lining of "losing" in the polls, the next round gets easier on you. Although I could at some point support Outlander too, depending on the competition, just not against these two particular episodes.

ReplyDeleteTo be honest, during certain scenes on that amazing run of the final 3 episodes, I was often left speechless to such a degree that I wouldn't even react. During the last 20 minutes of Hardhome I think my mouth was open all the way and I was just looking, trying to absorb everything!

ReplyDeleteAnd yes, I've been spoiled for things as well, sadly, though I don't think I've ever been spoiled for something as big as the Red Wedding. Thank god. That really sucks as that was probably the most shocking moment I had second only to Lost Season Season 3 finale from the top of my mind.

ReplyDeleteI would love POI to win and they did very well in the end of season awards, winning all their categories. However when polls are open and you can see the results live, the really big online fandoms push really hard. Outlander showed yesterday that in can destroy a big fandom like TWD when it gets into trouble. And the mentalist yesterday had more votes than any other show and brushed aside BATB, which is no easy feat. And Forever fans are still pushing very hard for their show and have some big online groups dedicated to polls etc.
ReplyDeleteI remember last year in the character cup there were some harsh match ups even as early as the first round for me. It's not easier choosing between two shows/episodes/characters you love. I just flip a coin when I can't decide.

ReplyDeleteMy standing has varied.:
ReplyDelete- In some cases I simply abstain myself from voting. Revenge and The 100 are two of my very favorite shows and Abduction and Spacewalker are among my very very favorite episodes of each one of them, respectively. And they were paired together in round 1. I couldn't really vote there. I could probably recognize that on the basis of that very hard to measure thing that is "pure quality" The 100 was better but I couldn't vote one way or the other. There have been other instances in which that has happened to me.
- Sometimes, the decision is actually easy although I have watched both because I know which one I liked the better (it was the case of the Outlander-TWD poll for me yesterday)
- Other cases I decide but it is really really hard. The Walking Dead is my favorite current show on TV but I actually voted against the finale, which I loved, yesterday, because it was up against Hardhome from GOT which I thought was one of the television's best episodes ever. I don't tend to use the show much as tiebreaker as this shows.

As much as I adored that fighting scene, I really wish they had changed the books and kept the Red Viper on the show, he was one of my favorite characters of the show.

ReplyDeleteGoT doesn't seem to be faring too well against Forever, but at least The 100 looks like it could make it farther, though it has a long battle up ahead with Castle.
Same here; I wish some other shows could beat it, but it always surges at the 11th hour and recieves a massive amount of votes, so it's I think it's the likely winner, though shows like The Mentalist and Castle will surely put up an interesting fight

I do too. Hence why no one who has won the Character Cup before is allowed to be in it. That way there are always new winners.

You should have seen us Muskies on Twitter, the fans worked hard for the R2 win all through the 24 hours. They're determined to give Outlander a run for their money too, but that one will be a real struggle, lol.
ReplyDeleteIt was as close to perfect as it could be. It literally hurt me to watch Raven. The whole episode but Clarke and Raven were especially hard.
ReplyDeleteSN- It still irks me the way Clarke had to ask permission to say good-bye. It may be irrational, but I didn't like it at all.
Castle will win if it gets the word out about the poll faster and broader than fans of The 100. It's a case of "may the most efficiect fandom win" just like every internet poll everywhere.
ReplyDeleteI felt so bad for Raven. Maybe even more than Clarke. I'm okay with her asking permission because he was Lexa's prisoner in Lexa's camp after killing Lexa's people. I'm just glad Lexa didn't feel the need to hold Clarke responsible after denying her people their bloodlust.
