If this was the final episode, it wouldn't be a bad way to go. I love Olivia's statement about growing more in the last four years with Amaro than she did those years with Stabler.

  4. Can't watch until later, but does Olivia get to keep Noah? PLEASE tell me she does, someone!!!

  5. Wow, this was such a satisfying finale but I am so HAPPY this wasn't the series finale. I freaking love this show. Even though Liv kind of threw her time with Stabler under the bus a bit, something tells me he might make an appearance...again that could just be wishful thinking on my part but a girl can wish. I will miss Danny Pino though :(

Seeing Liv with Noah as the judge signed off on the adoption was such a beautiful moment and I also love the parallel that she shared that moment with her real life husband. What an excellent season!

  9. I am done with this show. I am upset that they are having Detective Amaro retire. I do not like the new detective Carisi. And I knew when they brought him in at the beginning of the year that someone would most likely be leaving. And I was hoping that it was Ice-T. He has been there since season 2. There is no chemistry amongst Carisi and Olivia. I will miss Danny Pino. He was perfect for Law & Order: SVU.

  10. Did anyone get a really creepy vibe from the ME?

  11. Gonna repeat my self from another spoiler post....When Stabler left I was so disappointed then amaro came, even though I think he was under used this season..... Out of all of the others on the team he is the best one there!!!! Why!!!! The only one left I find remotely interesting now is Barba but with him being in it part time....is it enough to keep watching this show? I will give it a try but I don't think so sadly 😫

  12. Not surprised. I suspect the production-costs still went up much this season, and I bet syndication revenue, while still good, is down. Someone had to go. Do you remember--about 10 years ago--when Dick Wolf was praised for having at least one black actor in each of his 3 series? It was when the networks were being criticized as too-white. That reason alone, Ice-T is safe. I regret that they let Tamara Tunie go. Would take her over Ice-T. Carisi is the weakest link on the series. I agree with you.

  13. I like, Carisi over the blond dude. Wasn't sure if he was really leaving or not, but saw it confirmed by Pino aka Carisi . Didn't know if Tunie's was still a part of the show, or because of her other show "Red Road" (?)on Sundance with co-lead role = less work on SVU. Had no idea they let her go. Thought she had quit. On The View about a month ago, she talked liked she was still a part of SVU when she can.

  14. This season in particular seemed a bit more rushed in storytelling???

    ReplyDelete
  15. Just a minute. Danny Pino was "Amaro," now gone. Peter Scanavino is Carisi, still here. (Not one of my favorites.) Kelli Giddish (whom I love) is Amanda Rollins, still here. Who is "the blond dude"? (Awhile ago) Tunie's role was reduced a whole lot (no longer a regular). BD Wong played "Huang" the shrink. I do not know the last time he was on the show. I think Tamara was on L&OSVU twice this spring. Maybe that is what she was referring to on "The View." I think she is terrific, even on TRR.

  16. Not to spoil too much but I watch the Red Road and let's just say Tamara Tunie might be available for SVU again, which for me would be awesome, love Warner!
And I'm also a big fan of Kelli Giddish. I will miss DP a lot though.

  17. With that title it was doomed to be bad. S16 have been such a let-down for me. Too much focus on the Benoah drama. What happened with SVU's good touch of weaving in a little personal drama in to the existing cases they were working? They went totally overboard with Liv/Noah this season and wasted an amazing cast. They gave the others crumbs to work with and rotating out the squad/cast was a major fail. I guess they knew DP was leaving before S16 even started though. I like 'the new guy' but I wanted the entire squad to stay on & to be in every ep. Such a shame on such a great cast. I can only hope S17 will improve but it's a bummer Nick won't be there :(

  18. I hear you (about TRR). Actually, all the actors may look for work, not just Tamara. I am not convinced the series will be renewed. I love her, too. And Kelli Giddish is the best. If she had not joined the series, I doubt I would have stayed. Danny was good; he will definitely get more work.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Oh really I didn't know about TRR, I do hope it gets renewed, it won't be the same w/o you know who but I would still want to watch it.
Kelli & Danny brought be back to SVU. Sad they can't both still be on but yes like you say, Danny will get work, he's brilliant :)

  20. (My financial mind and) I always think about income, cost, profit (or loss). TRR's ratings down even more this season. Sundance has canceled one season and two season series before. I just cannot understand how they make a profit on it. If it loses money, it will get canceled. Changing subject. There are several series in-development, particularly on cable. They are choosing actors. ("Unforgettable," new to A&E, just hired 2 actresses.) I would not be surprised if Danny is chosen for some upcoming series.

  21. I didn't lije the bob & weave of cast mbrs either. Just didn't get that.

  22. Realized name confusion after sending. Carisi's the blone dude I don't like. Like Amaro mucho!!! LOL
I miss, Wong, too. Nice to see the other shrink become Oscar winner this yr. He was good also. Don't miss female DA on The Following this yr. Rollins okay. Can take/leave her & Ice T..
Wolf's always doggin' my Capt. Fired on orig L&O, brought back to SVU to be let go again!!! Geez. The stories just seemed rushed this season. Shocked, Olivia put, Stabler on blast????

    ReplyDelete
  23. Thought TRR was doing well in ratings??? Shocked. Danny was barely off Cold Case b4 landing SVU.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Not creepy, but bland as heck!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Well-summarized your response. They did seem rushed. But the series is 16 years old. The flagship L&O had story problems from season 15 on. BD Wong is on some cable series next week. Maybe "Nurse Jackie."

    ReplyDelete
  26. Danny Pino did "make the switch" fast. Cannot explain the reason why (Cold Case) Kathryn Morris did not. Always liked her, and apparently producers and crews do, too. FOX's new series "Minority Report" is based on the movie she starred in, with Tom Cruise. Maybe they can find a role for her.

    ReplyDelete
  27. IMO, Kathryn was the weakest link just blah IMO, & always had red watery eyes like the girl on Blacklist. Never seen her to remember b4 CC. Pino being cute figured he'd pop up somewhere. H'wood especially TV is soooooooo shallow.
The two heavy guys b&w were very good, but knew they'd may never work on a hit show or rarely if ever seen again w/ as much face time as CC..
Black curly hair girl seen her here & there, but only Pino's been steady.

  28. Yes, only him.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I HATE the fact they NEVER mention "Stabler's" name... even when they're talking about him they cant say his name... just cause he left in bad terms with the producers... UGH... :-(

  32. I figured that all the board would be at the meeting, except Redstone, and I was correct. However, they provided audio for him (to listen). None of the board spoke, which did not surprise me, either. One person in the audience asked if the rumors about a possible merger were true, and he was told, "No." Not that anyone believed that response, but they had to say something. In fact, I thought the question was kind of dopey.

    ReplyDelete
  33. The audio you heard??? Did you read the article yet? Alleged his speech not clear. Biggest deal IMO is the "will" itself, & wouldn't be shocked that the controlling interest be given to an unlikely suspect. Furthermore, those 2 women I can see contesting it, and causing all kinds of chaos. The dopey ? could've been asked just to have it on record to come back later & use for fighting???
Never knew he was a womanizer until... - not cute, so $$ was his good looks. Everybody look better when they got $2 above rent, so he's sexy as heck w/ billions above rent. LOL I worked for Nat'l Amusement division, and their Boston office was junky as hell, small, and ugly. Now I understand why he didn't put much $$ in that office. Too busy wining & dining elsewhere! CTHU
