New Girl - Preview - "Clean Break"

On the season four finale of New Girl, the loft finds one of their own leaving with Coach officially making the move to New York City (Jersey City) with May. "Live from New York, it's Coach's goodbye!" The "clean break" is a play off of Coach's idea that with each move comes a new phase of life. Things that aren't needed must be let go and only the essentials must be packed. "I bet he said something chauvinistic that comes from his insecurities, but ultimately leads to something endearing." Along with the loft's farewell journey with Coach set to flashbacks of the random experiences and adventures they've had ("The Rege"), Schmidt receives his own set of flashbacks pertaining to a Cece box Nick finds in his closet. Winston thinks it is time for Schmidt to know how Cece truly feels, but Jess is still shaken about opening that can of worms again. One thing leads to another and a startling revelation is revealed with Jess and Nick's "sex mug." The "sex mug" happened to be the method Nick and Jess would use to notify one another when they were horny without the gang knowing they wanted to do it. Nick covers for placing the mug out on the coffee table, but it turns out Jess was responsible for placing the mug.

Along with an unexpected guest star, the finale looks to be addressing the major changes that are happening next season. I am holding off on finishing the episode so I can watch what happens live tomorrow night. I'm excited, and I hope you are too, to see how things play out with such big changes in the pipeline. Check back tomorrow night or Wednesday morning for my review of the season four finale of New Girl.
