THE CW NETWORK SETS NEW “Beauty And The Beast” SEASON 3 PREMIERE DATE FOR

THURSDAY, JUNE 11

May 1, 2015 (Burbank, California) — The CW Network has moved the premiere date for season 3 of Beauty And The Beast to Thursday, June 11 (8:00-9:00pm). Originally, the new season was slated to premiere on May 21.

As season three begins, Cat (Kristin Kreuk) and Vincent (Jay Ryan) are able to focus on their love, finally free from Muirfield, manhunts and beasts. However, that love will be tested as new and more dangerous threats await. When they learn that innocent victims are being used to test the boundaries of the impossible, Cat and Vincent will uncover a deeper conspiracy, one which Vincent can fight only by turning to the beast he carries within. But unleashing the beast will risk Vincent’s life – along with his and Cat's love – as they struggle to build a normal life together.

  1. At least they're not calling it an epic love anymore.

  5. Does anyone knows if JT and Tess are still in there?

  6. Yes they are. They were in the promo.

  7. Oh this is so sad. Been waiting and WAITING for the 'epic" love story of Cat and Vincent to return. NOT !!! In the words of Joy Behar "Who Cares". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g_F2hpyjxhc

  10. I care and so many others do. We get it you don't like the show, cool you don't have to. But don't come to the show's section to make fun.

  11. they care enough to come here an comment, what a joke... fed up with the cw and with people who thrive on hating for no reason

well Allegiance was cancelled after 5 episodes & Netflix aired the rest. They could do that.

I don't understand the hate for this show. I never watched it, but from the summary it doesn't seem half as bad. If I was a teenager I think I would have liked it. Why is it so hated? Bad script? Bad production? Unlikable actors?

    ReplyDelete
  17. It feels like if they were going to cancel it, it would not have got a season 3.

Well Perception got S3 & got & it didn't deserve it. Hope BATB won't.

This show seems cool and interesting. Do you guys recommend me?

    ReplyDelete
  20. I remember someone mentioning it does better in forign markets, which why got the renewal.

    ReplyDelete
  21. As much as I love Beauty and the Beast,I am very tired of waiting for almost a year to see a new season.I may try other shows.I joined Netflix so they have some good original shows on there.I have been with BATB since the beginning, but a fan can only take so much waiting!

    ReplyDelete
  22. it is actually the least teenagie cw show i have watched. i dont actually watch any other cw shows. shows i like include breaking bad, fargo, OITNB, banshee and others... the script is not great in the show, true. the actors are brilliant

    ReplyDelete
  23. it depends on what type of shows u like. i love it

    ReplyDelete
  24. Heh. Don't get hooked on Sherlock...

    ReplyDelete
  25. IDK. I think most of the hate really stems from it's constant survival while other shows met their doom. I've only seen the first 11 episodes, and while IMO it kind of dragged and wasn't must see TV, it wasn't awful either.

  26. Christopher DeBono1 May 2015 at 20:24

    2 parts.

First, the fandom. Some people find them overbearing so they get a lot of backlash for it. They know how to make a lot of noise all over the place. While most other shows stick to 1-2 places.

Second, other shows have been cancelled which had higher ratings (not much higher but .1 to .2 higher) while BATB was renewed. So those fans tend to take it out on BATB. Over the years it's amassed the anger of fans from the cancelled shows.

I personally used to hate it. But I find it oddly fun how into it the fans get. I think it's nice to see a show with such a dedicated fanbase.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Oh yeah, I forgot about the fans.

  28. Victoria Llanos1 May 2015 at 20:26

It would be a very por choice to let canada air it as planned. It already has bad raitings, imagine if people could actually watch it weeks in advance by downloading, not only a day... The CW may have proven not to be the smartest when it comes to business decisions, but that would be the biggest of them all.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Christopher DeBono1 May 2015 at 20:28

I highly recommend trying Netflix's original shows :)

They vary in content but a lot of them are a really good watch. I'd also suggest giving some other shows (not Netflix originals) the 4 episode test. I've found a few that sound bad on paper but are actually more interesting when seen.

    ReplyDelete
  30. which ones do u recommend?

    ReplyDelete
  31. yeh, fandom of certain shows or characters can cause writers to ruin shows or make it difficult. Not that hate it or anything, but id blame the fandom more than the actual show.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Christopher DeBono1 May 2015 at 20:38

I personally really liked Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Daredevil and Orange Is The New Black. My dad really enjoyed Marco Polo and House Of Cards too, so they're on my list to binge watch next.

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt - A really good comedy with lots of heart.

Daredevil - Darker then any other superhero show, but the acting is absolutely amazing. Even if you don't like Superhero shows, I'd suggest giving it a try.

Orange is The New Black - Just straight up wacky and fun.

    ReplyDelete
  33. i loved daredevil and OITNB so we seem to have similar taste. i have not watched unbreakable but now will give it a go thanks for the recommendations

    ReplyDelete
  34. Victoria Llanos1 May 2015 at 20:53

For me is the batshit crazy fans. You know how almost every show has that portion of the fandom that are very intense and dedicated in a bad way? you know, the kind of that doesn't admit any other opinion but their own? Well, now imagine a fandom conformed almost in it's mayority by those kind of fans, like 97/98%. They can be too much to handle for those of us that like tv shows and shipping, but not to that extent. It's not a bad show, I enjoyed season 1 quite a lot, but it's better if you're a social media hermit, lol.

  35. Brandy Danforth1 May 2015 at 21:23

I think it's three reasons:1.some people have seen the original show & compare them & think this one isn't good.Reboots/remakes have a hard time these days.
2.Its poor ratings and getting renewed in spite of low ratings
3.The hardcore die hard fans can be a handful

    ReplyDelete
  36. BATB doesn't offer much outside of its ships. Side characters are ignored to offer the fans a 5th and 6th VinCat stare in the episode. Myth and background plots are pushed aside to focus on love drama. It also promotes "lust = love" type thing that stories like Twilight promotes.

If you like TVD and/or Reign, you might want to try it out. They seem to be pretty similar in quality and feels.

    ReplyDelete
  37. the message that it conveys is hte exact opposite of lust = love like, the exact opposite. and i would say that if you like tvd or reign, well I dont think it is worth giving it a try.

  38. Wally West (The Flash)1 May 2015 at 21:50

I have watched every cw show and this is the one I liked least. I personally would not recommend it.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I was talked into watching BATB by a fan. I spent one weekend, watched all of season 1 and some of season 2. It is a weekend I will never get back. I wouldn't recommend the show at all.

That being said, it has one of the most loyal and loud fanbases ever. So, some people must like it.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Why do that to fans (beasties) we have waited long enough for the return.....please explain to us why they did this....

    ReplyDelete
  41. What type of shows do you like?

    ReplyDelete
  42. If they wanted to cancel it they would have done that when it scored a 0.2 on a monday (!!!!!!!!!) over a year ago (!!!!!!!!!). Somebody at CW must be a huge fan of the show.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I wouldn't call it hate necessaritly. People are just making fun of it because it is just over the top ridiculous that this is getting renewed over and over again with these numbers.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Is this possible a matter of age? I don't know how old you are but I can see that this show appeals to a younger audience. With this show I think it's a matter of age and not taste.

    ReplyDelete
  45. it actually appeals to an older demographic than other cw shows.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I'm recommending Daredevil & OITNB-Brilliant shows!

    ReplyDelete
  47. I'm recommending Daredevil & OITNB-Brilliant shows,both of them!

    ReplyDelete
  48. That's exactly why I'm asking. They can't be that stupid, although.......

    ReplyDelete
  49. Biff Bifferson1 May 2015 at 23:15

I think it's because they forgot it's supposed to be an epic love story. Instead they have Katherine shoot him every time she vaguely disagrees with him. It should be them against the world and not against each other. They've made Katherine very unlikable and that kills any chance of it being romantic.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Anytime. I love them and they were great last season but I love Vincent and Catherine more :D

    ReplyDelete
  51. Victoria Llanos1 May 2015 at 23:26

I guess only time will tell ;-)
Seriously though, I think we'll get the same anouncement from Canada in a few days, they'd have to be supremely stupid to let this happen.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I was 25 when I watched it. Not sure how this fits into the target age.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Greice Moreira2 May 2015 at 00:21

Thanks <3 I'm not much into romance as main plot point. I'm more into action, sci fi or genre shows.

I kept hearing people rave about OITNB, so I pulled it up on Netfix. I lasted maybe ten minutes. Just goes to show how different one's likes can be. On the other hand, Dared Evil isn't too bad, although I'm getting tired of these heroes (Daredevil, Arrow, Flash) who just can't kill the bad guys. Since you like Daredevil, I'd recommend The Strain, on FX, which is also dark and moody.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Watched Merlin-hated the ending.White collar-Loved it.Teen wolf-Dropped it,it got way too bad IMO.Outlander-Great show,Will give Vuffy & Fringe a try.Veronica Mars,Chuck,Original BatB & Alias are not my cup of tea.Thanks for the suggestions.

    ReplyDelete
  56. I couldn't sit through the pilot of The Strain-Not my type of show at all.As you said, different people, different preferences.I didn't like Daredevil,I LOVED it!

  57. DAMN IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  58. Have you tried the 100?

  59. Pretty sure that person at the office is getting most stink eyes from his or her employees for this lol.

  60. Greice Moreira2 May 2015 at 02:28

I heard a lot of good things about it. I'm willing to try after Mad Men is over. Is it on Netflix?

    ReplyDelete
  61. Season 1 streaming is available on Netflix, not sure when season 2 will be.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Came here for the comments.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Give BATB a try for at least first 6 episodes and can watch on. Netflix. It is not one of those teenage shows and most of the fans are over 30, or at least the ones I know. The show is full of action and must say Kristen Kreuk is one kick ass actress. The love story is very well done and they very seldom get to enjoy time together because both are too busy fighting the bad guys and protecting each other or someone else. Personally don't watch the 100 but like Outlander and Poldark also. Whatever you decide to watch hope you enjoy:)

    ReplyDelete
  64. i was really glad they didn't make Kristin Kreuk a damsel in distress, when i saw on of the first sneak peeks for the show and it had her kick the ass of those Muirfield agents i was so happy

    ReplyDelete
  65. Okay... you know they renewed the show even when the ratings hadn't really earned a renewal, and they already picked it up for a fourth season... there's really no room to complain here.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Well we've been waiting for almost over a year now and it's not just for the delayed premier but the CW cancelled a lot of good tv shows (I'm just talking about the qualities not the ratings) so that's why I'm not a huge fan of that network. BATB is the only show that I'm watching from that network now.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Well ratings do matter to a network so you can't really dismiss that.

In the end TPTB can't save every show and they can't afford to renew every show to give them proper closure. Mark Pedowitz has tried really hard to keep shows with loyal fanbases on
the air, has given pretty much all his shows room to grow, and tries to give them proper endings as much as he can, and he does deserve the credit
    for that.

And the fact that he renewed an extremely low rated show, and gave it a 4th season renewal even before S3 had aired, should be enough to get people off his back. Yes you've been waiting for the show. I get it. But to put things into perspective a bit, you are going to eventually get to see a show that under any other executive wouldn't have survived past S1. Try to be a bit thankful for that.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Greice Moreira2 May 2015 at 13:13

You really sold it well. I might try it if I have the time. I'm just very busy at the moment.

    ReplyDelete
  69. the cw does not operate solely with ratings in mind...the majority of its shows lose money if u just take into account live viewership/nielsen ratings. the reason pedowitz renewed the show for a fourth season before the third even airs is because the show is making money for the network one way or another (netflix, international markets and whatever else). he did not renew the show for charitable reasons or because he tried to please the fans. so i personally do not feel gratitude for that renewal. now the show has not been promoted AT ALL since mid season 1. i mean not at all. we dont even feature in their reel or anything. there have been no interviews, nothing. now they change the date. reason being, they dont care. they think the show has a steady 0.3 fanbase, they do not think it can do better and they probably do not care even if it does worse cause it is not through nielsen that they make their money from. but money they are making and in pedowitzs words a few months ago "this is a very profitable show for the network".

    ReplyDelete
  70. Supernatural. 9 seasons on Netflix. Will fill your free time for a while :)

    ReplyDelete
  71. Sarahross11222 May 2015 at 19:43

I understand fans being a bit frustated but a 3 weeks delay won't make any difference for the fate of the show. We have been already rewarded with a surprising 4th season renewal so I don't care if it is may, june or july. Those who like the show will watch it whenever .

    ReplyDelete
  72. Yea agree. KK is a really smart person and doesn't want to play the damsel in distress roles. She is a strong role model for young women as extremely grounded and doesn't get carried away with fame or the bright lights of Hollywood. She is known for her professionalism on set and hard work ethic. Even Jay Ryan and other cast members have said she is kick ass at Karate which probably explains why she is strong in mind and is physically strong as well as being a wonderful actress.

    ReplyDelete
  73. I would say it's the opposite. It appeals to older audiences and this is new for CW as most all their shows appeal to younger audiences. As I said to someone else here most of the fans are over 30 and 40 and older. I know because I belong to a few fandoms and I think the older audience is one of the reasons that BATB survived. This is the one show on CW that caters to that audience and they want to keep them. But BATB audience young and old are extremely loyal and organized and they promote the show themselves and CW do very little promotion for the show. Mark Pedowich head of CW said the show it is profitable for everyone so it is making money otherwise it wouldn't be on the air. Also people forget that BATB have a huge international audience.

    ReplyDelete
  74. I have been with BATB from beginning too and love the show. If I had to wait another 2 months I would. CW putting the show back is not to punish the fans but maybe what is best for the show. It will be worth the wait in the end.

    ReplyDelete
  75. I suppose also a matter of taste and not everyone like the show and in your case regardless of your age. Though can't figure out why you watched a whole first season and didn't stop there? You went on to season 2. Maybe space out a show next time as that could be the reason you got tired in the middle of S2. Even I a die hard fan would be seeing stars at that point:)

    ReplyDelete
  76. The fan that convinced me to watch it said season 1 was rough, but season 2 got better much. So, I watched till what was current.

Marathoning TV series doesn't bug me. I don't do it every weekend, but I actually prefer to watch a series all in one go. To me, it seems to be easier to recall little details that long-time viewers might gloss over. I have done it many times with much longer series and still enjoyed them.
