    Ok, I didn't catch all of that b/c i was cooking. I caught some stuff here and there, i guess. I just want to say, i've always thought David was sexier w/o his "Maseo accent" his voice reminds me of Daniel Dae Kim, who is actually one of my Asian Celeb crushes. lol

    Two: I never actually gave it ANY thought of Thea crossing over to do a Flash episode. Idk why, but i never did. That could be fun? I guess? idk, idk how i feel about that. Actually, i do want to see that, only b/c she still hasn't met Barry and that whole "Marilyn Monroe" scene we got, was extremely cheap.

    Three: What the hell did she complain about with Harley and guys??? I didn't catch any of that?? What did she not understand? Something to do with the appearance??

    wich really wasn't the case, it wasn't sexist either though. Charlize Therons character was damn badass and the way these enslaved girls stood up to their supressors was great.


    I'll say it like this: some men aren't ready for a movie treating females like males. Not sure why but sexism seems to be deep rooted within some people.


    and hell, hearing Willa talk about this made her 10x times sexier to me, we need more strong females in the industry. Celeb-crush mode activated

    Rila Fukushima is gorgeous. I wish she spoke more. But she was so underused on Arrow there is not much else to say. I hope we get more of her next season. She is an awesome actress.


    Willa is so outspoken and gorgeous. I could always see Katie Cassidy's frustration of not becoming BC for so long. But never thought Willa would be frustrated too maybe because there was not that much debate about her future. I also want her to get a better costume than the re purposed Arsenal costume. Also I hope at least next season Thea will get her agency and get to keep it.

    I really don't know how they came to that. I honestly felt like a really random question. But Willa had an opinion.
    Yeah the costume is dreadful. I think they will push it to far with HQ.
    The only thing I like is that the they had the same idea as I and intended to put Thea and HQ together for a storyline.

    Why are people so shocked by a female bossing Max around? I think most people complaining about this haven't seen Beyond Thunderdome.


    The only reason I wouldn't have wanted to watch Fury Road was because of recasting Mel Gibson but Hardy did a good job so I'm perfectly fine with it.

    I think that Marc or someone pretty much confirmed that Waller will appear further along or better said they have a plan for her to appear.
    I think it would be stupid for them to cut ARGUS especially with HIVE coming up. But it's DC, no surprises there.

    I can't wait to watch Mad Max. These sexist attitude will take generations to change as sad as the whole thing is. But people are talking about it now and our young generation is listening to it. There is hope for future generations.


    Willa is so sexy and smart. I hope Thea's days of being managed is over and she gets a bit of Willa traits in her. I am still annoyed with the lack of punishment for Malcolm on Thea's, Sara's and Laurel's behalf. I hope next season.

    What are you talking about? I have no problem with Charlize "in the role" bossing whoever she has to boss around. I hate that she's IN this movie. I can't stand it. I see the trailers, and i just hate her in it. I couldn't be more turned off. I feel it's just a movie she needed to do for the money. I have no intention on seeing this movie whatsoever.     I'm not so sure about that, I know very few people that are still acting sexist in any shape or form. Obviously big parts of the internet are proving that sexism is still very much alive but these trolls are probably as insignificant as they're likely the polar opposite in real life.


    Absolutely, sadly her type of girl is rare to find :/ (everyone: pity me NOW :P)


    I'm not but because of my selfish Merlyn-fanboy-ism. However Arrow is currently successfully washing away these sins through ressurecting Sara (I wouldn't be surprised if Merlyn himself threw her in).

    It's a cheap way to "redeem" him but I could see Arrow pull that -,-

    Yeah, one of my online friends says she was good in Focus....but i don't/didn't want to see that movie either.     Also Shannon: I don't think that she did this movie soley for the money, the road to get Fury Road done was hoaky and had a lot of passion behind it. The only ones I think did that movie for the money are Tom Hardy and Nicholas Hoult. But otherwise I think most actors (especially Theron) did that one out of passion for the franchise. Hell, I think Therons movies that make her look flawless are those that she does only for paycheck (Snow White and the Huntsman) but for this one she actually shaved down and got a more grumpy look.

    Yeah I downloaded Focus 2 months ago I believe didn't bare to watch it yet.
    I'm an old school Prince of Bel-Air fan so I like Will but not really a fan of his projects after it except of MiB and a couple more.
    I really don't know why they had to kill DS, he could've just run away would be way more intriguing.
    And did I hear right is Joker the villain of the movie?

    Trust me mac. Olicity shippers are not happy. They are just happy that after all that unnecessary angst Oliver and Felicity are finally together and they are hoping next season will have better writing.


    I would not say they wrote season 3 for fan reactions. I would say before the season shooting started they decided Laurel will wear BC out fit by episode 10, Thea will become speedy in the finale, hey how about we kill Oliver in mid season finale? Then they wrote to reach that goal but the path was riddled with plot holes and OOC moments. Also I am sure they had no plans to use Lazarus pit on Arrow until LoT and Caity Lotz's return was planned. If they had they would have used it for Oliver after mid season finale.

    S03 was quite all over the place even though I though it started "soli", but thinks went berserk after Oliver returned and spared Malcolm his live. The whole time I was hoping they would drag out the big guns and wow me but the last 2 eps were more than underwhelming and Olicity driven.

    There're quite a few potential reasons:


    1.) DC and the confusion issue
    2.) Smith might have a clause in his contract that prohibits other actors to play the character for the duration of his tenure.


    No one knows, he's not part of the Squad. But there's a video showing him slapping Harley (*cough*talking about sexism*cough*) so he's certainly A bad guy

    I trust you on this, before season 3 came along I didn't even mind the thought of Oliver/Felicity together. But then WB pushed it with its promos and it became a gigantic focus of the show wich....threw me off and apparently some shippers as well.


    And why are they bringing Lotz back? Because the fans demanded it.
    I'm not going to say that the writers do whatever twitter tells them to but....well.....okay they do

    But again no reason to kill him besides fake drama.

    The thing is Caity Lotz is so popular among fanboys especially comic book fanboys. I was watching some of the trailer reactions for LoT in Youtube. Man.. the boys love her. The way they squeeled at seeing her alive was really funny. They brought her back because ATOM was getting mixed reviews and she would give an extra push for the show which I think she already did.

    Not to throw any shade but Lotz always felt like a glorified stunt double, her acting skills really aren't anything to brag about, in fact she was probably the worst out of a bunch of already flawed actors.

    I only had problems with her island scenes. Those sucked hard for me. Present day Sara was fine for me. She was a great Canary and she fit very well in the foundry scenes with Diggle, Felicity and Roy. I had no complaints there except that one shot in The Promise where she was shocked to hear Slade's voice through the phone. Lets see how she works in Legends of Tomorrow. Looks like she will get more prominent role.

    All that being said she entertained me a lot as Canary. I love her and am happy she is back even though I still think it is unnecessary.

    You're probably close to the truth. Kreisberg, as bad as his orginal run on GA was at least had some familiarity with the character. Guggenheim as you said is feeding is ego and staying employed another month.

    Though he'll be focusing on LoT now and the new co-showrunner will probably run Arrow. I don't have high expectations for much change.

    Is it too late to hire Kevin Smith to come clear this mess up?

    He was the same in season 2 too. He is one of the main reason ship wars even exists in this show. But then we had Andrew who used to give more interviews than Guggenheim. This season with his entry to tumblr he has become really annoying. Sometimes he does give good answers but most of the time he is preening and patting his own back for a job well done *rolls eyes*.

    And the movie looks god awful!! Period. One of those, movies they need to push to light, and it'll be "all the rage" b/c they put all this work into it trying to get it down to a T from w/e it's based on. (in this case from it's previous films before it) Then we'll come to find out it was wayyyy overrated and complete waste of time. No thanks!! I'm not wasting 20 bucks, on people screaming for two hours, with "slow motion thriller action" and the lead role getting the most cheesiest dialogue so the audience can get some type of giggles. If anything it'll go down in the "It's so bad it's good column". I'm completely turned off by the entire thing, i kid you not. And nothing you or anyone else says will change my mind. It looks sooo ugh! And idt it'll do anything for Charlize's career either.

    Even though Roy was there as Arsenal it never felt like she would not become Speedy.Also unlike the case of Laurel where it felt like they wasted time in season 2 not building her up to become BC Thea's journey feels right not too late and not too soon. So I never ever thought Willa might have wanted to suit up sooner as Speedy.


    Willa reminds me of a naughty fairy. All she needs is two wings.


    I miss Arrow discussions too. Its so boring without it.

    When S02 started and Sara was really good I hoped they would give Laurel a different alias. U know I like Sara and Laurel but Laurel didn't deserves to play second fiddle to anyone. So I hoped they would go in a different direction with her and let the BC loom around and do stuff on her own. S02 was a complete waste and they are stupid for not introducing Sara as the White Canary right away, would make things for her and Laurel much easier from this point.
    Willa was planed for Speedy from the Pilot as she said so never doubt there, but still it had to be obnoxious to see everyone around U suit up while U are playing a bar owner in the dark.
    She is really naughty, from all the Arrow girls she has the naughtiest spark. ^^

    I don't think introducing Sara as a competent BC was the problem. The problem was Laurel's drug problem and her attitude in season 2. Here is a character who is destined to become BC but she is really annoying, wallowing in self pity and sorrow and is doing drugs. At the same time there is this new character who after going through lot tougher and more bad situations rose above and trying hard to be a hero. The contrast was too much.


    If they had not gone with the drug route and instead Laurel's journey was completely tied with Sara where first Sara anonymously helps Laurel and later she reveals herself to Laurel it would have worked so much better. Instead they used Sara for that relationship with Oliver and made everything about Oliver once again. Sara should have worked with Laurel instead of team Arrow during the second half of season 2. Laurel should have asked Sara to help her be more tougher and stronger in season 2 and Sara should have trained her. Then imo Sara should have died in Season 2 finale saving Laurel. Then Laurel could have went away during the hiatus and trained somewhere else maybe with Nyssa.


    They had so many options to integrate Sara and Laurel's story without making Laurel look bad in comparison. That is what the show did. They made Laurel look bad in the current time and in the flashbacks compared to Sara. By the time season 2 was coming to an end I just wanted Laurel gone. The show itself does not have high opinions about this character why should I? Season 3 they have done much to improve Laurel yet I don't see her making any lasting connections. Thea has Malcolm, Roy and Oliver. Diggle has Oliver, Lyla and Felicity. Felicity has Oliver, Diggle, her mom and Ray. Roy had Oliver and Thea. Laurel only had her father and now even that is gone. Yes she had two good bonding scenes with Felicity and one with Diggle but where is the follow through. Thank God for Nyssa but she is not a regular and now she has left Laurel again. It is so hard for me to be invested in Laurel as she is not my favorite character.


    Regarding Willa, maybe its because Thea was so young compared to other characters on the show it always felt for me that she has time to suit up. She is only 20 now where as Laurel is 30. I never even thought she would suit up in season 3 and she would be a better fighter than BC at any point of the show. I always thought Thea would move towards Speedy way only after Laurel is firmly established as BC. It was really interesting to hear Willa talk about being typecast ed as bitchy sister character. It must be really hard in Hollywood.

    I come from India where sexism is really rampant. But with all this talks in western community educated youngsters in our country also has started to become more aware of it. For us it will take at least two more generations to reach there as our society is steeped in outdated paternal out look, several different religious doctrines, lack of education and poverty. But even when I look at western society and read about sexism there I realize how long we all have to go. Internet is nowhere a correct tool to calculate sexism as lot of people thrive on anonymity here. But still there is still some strides to go in media and equal opportunities and wage. But we are getting there.

    I will judge season 3's Malcolm arc until I see what they are going to do with him next season. I hope they don't wipe all of his actions under the rug.

    Honestly, I think if The Flash wasn't such a huge success that actually catered to its source material, Arrow would've become GREEN Arrow as the end of the fifth season to collaborate with the ending of those five-year flashbacks, but since The Flash bas become this marriage to the comics and handles such ideas so amazingly, I think it's changed the minds of original plans where Arrow will become GA sooner than later. It does still make sense though, because The Arrow's name has been ruined by Ra's, the League and even by the SCPD so now I just wonder what'll be that big goal at the end when it's the end of those flashbacks too. What else does Ollie need to accomplish to coincide with the ending of those flashbacks? Does he get his company back then? Does he become the mayor then?

    Nothing spoilery.
    -Rila and Willa gushed about each other's costume. Willa especially liked Rila's costume
    -Asked about whether Thea will crossover to LoT to apologize to Sara. Willa said she has no idea but it is possible
    - Willa talked about her happiness in wearing the suit and being frustrated it took this long
    - Willa hopes her costume will change and will add some yellow to it.
    - Willa was asked about her doing the season 1 Thea this season flashback episode. She talked about how she was type cast ed in bitchy sister roles and she was frustrated because of that. So it was tough for her but she is glad she could show the contrast
    - Karl Yune talked about Maseo coming back in flashbacks. Apparently MG said to him not to accept any new roles
    - They were asked about their son being dead on the show. Rila said she was very emotional on set on that day
    - Willa talked about strong female characters, how Thea was lied to and abused by almost everyone in her life on the show yet she bounced back.
    - She was asked about the drug issue of Thea being glossed over and not explored. She said she is happy with what they have done and it is a network show they cannot show someone shooting drugs in veins all the time.
    - Then Willa was asked about men saying there is too much feminism in Mad Max Fury Road. She said she has not watched it yet so no opinion but she is surprised how the narrative got reversed.

    I disagree about Sara once again. I agree pre gambit Sara was a brat and a bad sister but at the same time pre gambit Laurel was blind in love and kept going back to a guy who cheated on her multiple times. Both were young and stupid.


    After Gambit I agree she had Oliver for that brief time on the island to stand with her. But other than that she was all alone. Yes she had Ivo. But she was stranded in a freighter in her under wear with only men around her. She had no choice but to stand with Ivo and for that she was asked to torture innocent men. After the freighter its true Nyssa saved her. But Nyssa did not allow her to go back to her family either. She was taken to Nanda Parbat where she had two choices either join them or die. And for saving her she was forced to kill a lot of people. Her falling in love with Nyssa does not change the fact that she had no choice in her life to make any decisions on her own. That is not Sara running away from her problems. That is her surviving in extreme conditions. Apart from killing herself she had no other choice. Even after her running away from LoA she did not confront her family because she wanted to protect them. She knew the moment she came in touch with them they could be assassinated. She only came back to see to their welfare from far after the earthquake. It takes strength to not run to your family to protect them too. Even after all that she came back and protected women who were being attacked.


    Yes. Laurel also has led a difficult life. A broken family, an addict father, dead sister and lover. But she had choices in life. She could become anything she wanted a lawyer, doctor, dancer anything. That was not the case for Sara or Oliver. Also Laurel had Joanna, Tommy and to an extend Thea and Moira for support. Hell even Oliver had more choice in his life than Sara as we saw in season 3 end he could have gone back to his family if he wanted. Also I disagree that Laurel faced her problems head on. If she had she would not have been so wound up about Oliver and Sara cheating on her. She sat on that hurt and buried her problems too which exploded after Tommy's death.


    When I talked about Sara and Laurel in season 2 I meant about the contrast which was so on the nose in the first 18 episodes. Here is one sister with a tragic backstory who is fighting against bad guys and here is another even though tragic is burying herself in self pity and drugs. The broke Laurel down to build Sara up which was really unnecessary. The difference in tragedy is also an issue. Sara's tragedy was isolation, torture, near death and being forced to become an assassin by a deadly association. Where as Laurel's tragedy is family being broken, cheating boyfriend and dead boyfriend.. these are the things normal humans face in real life even though not all together like Laurel. So the scales were really uneven there.


    I was so annoyed during Season 3 finale when they took away Nyssa from Laurel. Why? Nyssa had no reason to go back to LoA. Laurel needs a trainer during the hiatus. smh. Not just Laurel in season 4 there needs to be more team moments with all 5 members of TA. I hope we get different team ups. Laurel and Felicity, Felciity and Thea, Diggle and Thea, Oliver and Thea etc etc. They did a good job giving Sara some great moments with the team which was unnecessary imo. Now they need to do the same for Thea and Laurel.


    Thea being more competent than Laurel is what makes me think the writers don't care for this character. It does not make any sense. Thea could honestly have waited one more year. She is just 20 years old.


    I get what you mean about introducing Laurel later. I do agree to some extend. But I think had they went the route of Laurel having no romantic feelings for Oliver in season 1 and only cared for Tommy and slowly built the friendship between the two things would have worked better. No one likes a flip flopping female. sigh. When will these idiots understand triangle and prolonged romantic angst does not work.

I rarely see anyone mention how the flashbacks reflected poorly on not only Sara but Laurel too. Thea is now 20, and its funny to think that is how old Sara would have been went she went on the Gambit.

    Agree. I think that was the ongoing plan. Arrow started this new phase of CBTV, but I think because of how well done The Flash has been, it was time for the producers to step up their game on Arrow no and make him Green Arrow once and for all. You can just tell plans were changed, but regardless, it does make sense because of this season as if there was always a back up plan of sorts to make Arrow feel more comic book-y.
