  1. Holy hell, I love the look of this. I can't wait.

  2. Well we got no dialogue so its a bit hard to judge but visually it looks great. It is going to be hard to live up to S1 but I have the faith.

  3. Why do they look so old?
How did they succeed kill the appeal in all their leads?
But I'm intrigued. Will check it out!

  4. Yep a very hard act to follow. Very intrigued

  5. Can't wait! McAdams, Ferrell, and Vaughn all look incredibly unlike themselves here!

Looks good but will know better when they give us some dialogue. Of all the cast I really hope Rachel McAdams gets a chance to shine. Great actress that has done way too many bad movies!!!

  7. Hopefully it will be better than the mediocre first season.

  8. It's smart to not try to imitate the first season. It was fantastic but this season is it's own story and characters and should be judged on that.

  9. Rachel!!! I'm excited already! It looks very different from season one, which is good. I'm definitely checking it out.

So excited for this. Have loved Vaughn since Swingers and cannot wait to see him tackle this role. Also - TIM RIGGINS! Dying to see what Taylor Kitsch does here. Yay for June premiere!

  12. Kill the appeal? What do you mean?

    ReplyDelete
  13. June 21? YES!! YES!!! YES!!!!!

  14. Lets say it this way they look unattractive. A bit to rough and messy, feels a bit forced. But that is just me.

  15. A bit to rough and messy, feels a bit forced.

Would you say the same about Charlize Theron in Monster? If handsome and beautiful actors are portrayed as rough/coarse then isn't it keeping true to the type of characters that they are playing? Why sould it feel forced?

They do indeed look a bit rough but I find them just fine considering the characters that they are portraying. No dainty characters - but hardened cops and criminals. Now if these characters were 'daintified', then I would call it forced and catering to lowest denominator of sexual appeal.

  16. Kind of weird though that Vince Vaughn looks better than Colin Farrell. Maybe it's the suit.

This looks amazing!!! I can't wait for it.

  18. I get Ur pov and agree to a certain degree. I probably expected something else but I look forward to see watch the show. Seems much more appealing than season 1.

  19. Season 1 was so amazing for me and Nic Pizzolatto did such an incredible job writing it so I can't wait to see what he does with season 2. It already looks really different than season 1 but it definitely has the potential to be just as great. June 21st can't come soon enough!!

  20. I wonder what's taking so long for The Leftovers? All we really know about season 2 is that they're moving locations and a lot of the recurring characters from last season won't be coming back but that's about it. I wonder if they have even started filming yet.

  21. June is the new September: Orange is the New Black, Sense8, Hannibal and now True Detective. You add Masters of Sex, My Mad Fat Diary and The Leftovers and you'll got one hell of a summer!

    ReplyDelete
  22. I get what you mean but the tone is supposed to be bleak and dark, so them looking rough and dirty is good IMO.

If they showed us babyfaced Taylor Kitsch and Colin Farrell no one would buy their roles

    ReplyDelete
  23. Wow, wow, Wow!!! That is a wealth of TV riches. I had completely forgotten about Sense8 and Hannibal premiering in June. This is awesome.

  24. I used to love winters much more than summers. Then, I became a serial tv addicted. I can add Daredevil, Bosch and Bloodline (I still have to see them!) to the list and I'll start Battlestar Galactica and The Sopranos XD

p.s.: I guess Fargo, The Affair and The Knick will premiere, then. Can't wait for them, too.

  25. Can't wait.

  26. Just that is what borders me! "It's supposed to be."

Feels a bit unnatural don't know why. Probably just in my head as I'm used to a bit more polished actors-roles.

Of course this is much better than their usual babyface appearances but think they could've find that rough look in a different way. But lets see what the show will look like when it airs.

  27. Ooh!!! Bosch!! I have the complete S1 sitting on my system. I watched the first episode but unfortunately I never found time to finish the rest. I was going to do it in April but Daredevil takes priority now. Most probably I will come back to it in late May when all regular shows go on the hiatus.

Although I thought that is was a good show, I never finished season 1 of The Affair. Stopped at E5 - I think before the affair is discovered. Was very busy at that time and I kind of forgot about it. How were the remaining episodes? If they are good then I will add it to the list of shows that I have to catch up on.

  28. Rachel is gonna kill it, I can feel it in my bones.

  29. Very excited!!!

Can't wait for season 2 very excited

  31. I feel they're going a completely different route, exactly because they know they can't top S1.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Indeed, and I'm excited by that it seems like more of an ensemble this time round and the grimy city feel to it is different as well.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Looking forward to True Detective, but got to try and forget the awesome first season and not try adn compare as they are going to be different.

Also looking forward to checking out The Brink.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Now if only the entirety of True Detective were silent. I might actually enjoy the show if it weren't for the terrible dialogue.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Looks really good! I like that they're going with a completely different vibe for S2. Anyone know the song playing in the trailer BTW?

Ballers and The Brink also sounds like fun!

    ReplyDelete
  36. I'm glad they don't look like movie stars after all they are not playing celebrities . I for one approve of the way these people look. Like normal people.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Love the new promo. I really like Vince Vaughan when he's playing a serious character.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Really excited for this.

    ReplyDelete
  39. "Nobody cares, nobody cares" definitely intense!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Wow!! Rachel McAdams looking good.

"Nobody Cares" - Catchphrase of S2? .....Maybe.

    ReplyDelete
  41. So, so excited for this.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Yeah he is good actor, all those posters on various sites anti the casting of Vaughn had no idea what they were talking about and they look even more foolish now based on the promo.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Looks good so far!

    ReplyDelete
  44. Can't wait for it to start...
