  • Last Week's Final Adjusted Ratings

  • Early Ratings Analysis by Marc Berman (TVMediaInsights)

    No Ratings Analysis today

  • About the Daily Ratings
Each day (except Sunday) during the main TV Season we post the TV Ratings for the previous nights primetime shows for the major broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, CW, FOX, NBC). Cable Network ratings will be added to the Ratings Database.

The first item that gets posted (normally around 2pm GMT) is the early overnight analysis based on the early household numbers (these are not the same as the Total Viewers and 18-49 Demo numbers that are posted later).

Next, if available, we will post the Top 25 Market 18-49 Ratings to give you a rough idea of the ratings to following.

Later on (normally between 4pm-5pm GMT) we post the official early overnight Total Viewers and 18-49 Demo numbers in the table above (We also where possible now post the 18-34 and 25-54 Demo Numbers).

Finally, later in the evening (10pm-11pm GMT) or the following day, the final adjusted ratings numbers are released, these are then posted in the Ratings Database. The Final Adjusted numbers are what we use for all our Renew/Cancellation Tables, Full Season Tables, Ratings Scorecards etc (see below). Friday's Final Adjusted Ratings are normally available on the following Monday.

  1. up for Stalker but still not enough :(

    ReplyDelete
  2. For a dead show walking, Stalker actually did considerably better than I thought it would do.

Winners: Dancing with the Stars, The Voice

    Honorable Mention: Gotham

Shockingly big drops: 2 Broke Girls, Mike and Molly

Losers:</b< Castle, NCIS Los Angeles, The Night Shift, Jane the Virgin

    ReplyDelete
  3. Well, Castle is underperforming.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Stalker :( At least it's up from the previous episode, this is a big thing for me.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Castle is a straight up loser at that level.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Stalker grew a bit in its return.
Glad TO didn't drop, but those aren't great numbers.

  7. Goodbye Revenge 😢 2011-201528 April 2015 at 16:05

I still have to watch All sunday abc shows

Castle is doing really bad. It Has DWTS as its lead-in yet it only Hits a 1.3?!

    ReplyDelete
  8. Goodbye Revenge 😢 2011-201528 April 2015 at 16:05

    It is embarrasssing

    ReplyDelete
  9. Yes it did terrible. DWTS is holding up.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Last week it actually did a 0.53, so it was close to a 0.6 upwards adjustment. I think this is a passable level for CW Spring against the Voice. Not a hit, but could be much worse.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Wouldn't give Gotham that HM!

    ReplyDelete
  12. Stalker 40% higher than MS....

    ReplyDelete
  13. That's a little higher than I predicted for Stalker, but the ratings of these episode don't matter anyways.

    ReplyDelete
  14. 10 PM was preempted by the Baltimore Riots, so it will be interesting to see how it all shakes out in the finals. Certain markets didn't even watch regularly scheduled programming.

    ReplyDelete
  15. And it has no competition as well! The other shows are very low rated as well!

    ReplyDelete
  16. And that still doesn't matter. Stalker is getting cancelled. MS has already been renewed.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Goodbye Revenge 😢 2011-201528 April 2015 at 16:06

I know but 10pm on abe just does not do well except for HTGAWM

    ReplyDelete
  18. TO was also preempted. so expect another drop later

    ReplyDelete
  19. It might be time for Castle to move

    ReplyDelete
  20. Highest rated FOX show of the week unless Idol rebounds + Self starter at 8pm + Relatively stable with past weeks + Extremely male skewing show which makes it more valuable than at first glance

    ReplyDelete
  21. Not bad considering the long break, but sadly it's not enough for a second season :( I'm going to enjoy the last episodes, it was a good show in my opinion :)

    ReplyDelete
  22. Poor CW shows, those preeemptions will kill them.

    ReplyDelete
  23. It is probably going to drop because I think it was preempted in Chicago.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Goodbye Revenge 😢 2011-201528 April 2015 at 16:07

To where?! On sunday ir will be doing revenge ratings

    ReplyDelete
  25. I just hope they stay far away from the 0,4 even though the episode wasn't that good.

    ReplyDelete
  26. is the Following up from last week?

    ReplyDelete
  27. No, it is on par with last week.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I've not been in the move it to Tuesday at 10 PM camp because it's not a good fit with S.H.I.E.L.D., but it can't stay on Mondays. ABC will place something else here.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Click on the "Last Week's Final Adjusted Ratings " section, It shows all the ratings from last week

    ReplyDelete
  30. You need to adjust expectations. Plenty of 10pm shows do well, given expectations. The Blacklist (Monday episodes), Chicago Fire, Chicago PD, How to Get Away with Murder, Blue Bloods, 20/20, NCIS LA (in the winter, not now) all do very well for their respective networks in the 10pm slots. It's just that they have a lot of losers at that time, but it is possible to do well at that hour.

    ReplyDelete
  31. That's not too bad for Stalker, but it will won't be enough sadly. It also drags down NCIS: LA with it.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Important to note: Many markets (including mine) did not air the Night Shift for a Baltimore Riot news special.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Goodbye Revenge 😢 2011-201528 April 2015 at 16:09

I am starting to get worried abour Network tv ratings

    ReplyDelete
  34. I wish ABC would send it to Sundays at 10pm and simply finish Nashville in the winter and in the summer (split season). Never will happen though

    ReplyDelete
  35. 1.4 for Stalker may be good enough, right?

    ReplyDelete
  36. Goodbye Revenge 😢 2011-201528 April 2015 at 16:10

    Yeah i meant on ABC

    ReplyDelete
  37. Still from the numbers it initially got those a rough numbers, still good in the overall no doubt.
It was a good episode, I really enjoyed the show after a long time.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Go home Stalker, you're drunk.

In all seriousness it is higher rated than many of their shows.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Yeah that is true. 20/20 does well but that's about it.

    ReplyDelete
  40. NCIS: LA was dragged down by Stalker I'm afraid. Then again, it should not have been lead-in dependent in the first place.

    ReplyDelete
  41. It's post DST, so you need to adapt the numbers it should be getting. I have yet to watch last night's, but I am really digging the recent episodes too!

    ReplyDelete
  42. I know Stalker is going to be cancelled, but in my opinion its 1.4 is better than the same rating it had before the break. I'm saying this because it's returning from a long break, in a new timeslot against The Voice and DWTS, with a better retention from the lead-in.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Eh too little too late.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Thunder_Road_Rock28 April 2015 at 16:12

But anyway Castle is the #1 tv series of the entire Monday night...That has to be said too, imho...

    ReplyDelete
  45. Goodbye Revenge 😢 2011-201528 April 2015 at 16:12

Jap👍 i really need to watch my abc shows tonight. My brother watched OUAT last night but i had no time. However, I kept walking by and was anxious to see it. Also secrets and lies and revenge of course

    ReplyDelete
  46. Ouch for LA and Castle. I think it may stay put next season.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I would say not good, but on par with many CBS shows.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I assume you want Kingsmakers picked up, right? Have you read the reviews?

    ReplyDelete
  49. Goodbye Revenge 😢 2011-201528 April 2015 at 16:13

    You must be dreaming

    ReplyDelete
  50. Castle has been doing really poorly this season. Last season's finale really pissed off many fans.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Something has to air in the timeslot.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Goodbye Revenge 😢 2011-201528 April 2015 at 16:14

I really want ir Picked up. Revenge 2.0!!

    ReplyDelete
  53. Goodbye Revenge 😢 2011-201528 April 2015 at 16:14

Nashville final season which will do worse than revenge

    ReplyDelete
  54. Again, we need to see the breakdown of what markets aired the Baltimore Riots vs. regularly scheduled programming at 10 PM, but my first impression is that a news special did as well, if not better than the network's regularly scheduled program. That's a strike for NCIS: LA, Castle, and The Night Shift as anything can do almost as well. The networks aren't taking advantage of this timeslot.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Too bad viewers don't matter!
    It's all about the demo

    ReplyDelete
  56. Perry the platypus 🌈28 April 2015 at 16:15

I may get rude comments, but considering all things, The Following isn't doing that badly. Out of Fox's line up last week

    Gotham 1.6
    The Following 1.2
    Hell's Kitchen 1.2? I think
    Weird Loners 0.5 I think
    American Idol 1.4
    Bones 1.0
    Backstrom 0.8
    The Simpsons 1.5
    Brooklyn 99 1.5
    Family Guy 1.5
    LMOE 1.4
New girl last original was 0.9 I think

    Shows that ended already
    Empire 6.9
    Glee 0.7
Sleepy Hollow 1.4 (and it hit 1.2's)
    TMP 0.9 I think?

I don't think it's in as bad of a boat as people say. It's the #2 drama on Fox right now.

    ReplyDelete
  57. ok so Stalker is really dead now...

    ReplyDelete
  58. It was dead when they pulled it from schedule.

    ReplyDelete
  59. So maybe Castle moves to Tuesday and Nashville to Sundays... unless ABC finally decides to air Nasvhille during the summer, but that's extremely unlikely.

Another option could be moving Castle to Wednesday to see if it could do better off ABC comedies, but that spot should be used to launch a new drama.

    ReplyDelete
  60. But still Castle didn't win the night in viewers. It only won its timeslot in total viewers.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Mike and Molly grew from 2BG for gye first time this season.

the 10pm hour is so weak.

    ReplyDelete
  62. It's harder to get young people

    ReplyDelete
  63. Fans are a tricky sort of people.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Here is a very good FAQ about Ratings

    http://www.spoilertv.com/2013/10/renewals-and-cancellations-decisions.html

    ReplyDelete
  65. Many people quit watching because Castle didn't meet their expectations. I blame them for the ratings downfall. As a true fan, I stay loyal to the show.

Whether it gets renewed or not, I am happy either way.

    ReplyDelete
  66. EmbraceYourInnerFreak28 April 2015 at 16:18

You're right. But on the other hand what 10pm show is actually doing great? They all seem down this season.

    ReplyDelete
  67. maybe I missed the memo, but what is the reason for no analysis these days????

    ReplyDelete
  68. just saw it. thanks. not bad

    ReplyDelete
  69. I wish TO won't adjust down :( This is already bad enough. Though we have to admit it has some great competition.

    ReplyDelete
  70. I think Marc's been on vacation

    ReplyDelete
  71. Tomáš Petrík28 April 2015 at 16:19

    Nice, thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  72. NBC is wasting the only timeslot that could save their reputation.
They should air The Blacklist next season on Mondays at 10 IMO. (just like they did last season)

    ReplyDelete
  73. Well, it did gain almost 2 million from Stalker while airing at 10, so it's not that lead-in dependent.

    ReplyDelete

  75. Can Stalker please adjust up

    ReplyDelete
  76. Its still a series low in total viewers though.

    ReplyDelete
  77. It really does. Thats what I'm afraid of. It's almost season finale and it will ruin NCIS:LA rating

    ReplyDelete
  78. Of course it doesn't matter, but it's another glaring example of how CBS really bungled the programming this season and didn't make any adjustments. They had perfect chance starting in January to move things around. The fact that a show like Stalker with a 2+ month hiatus, moved to a new night (and fairly inappropriate time-slot) can pull ratings that much higher than a renewed series only highlights the error of CBS' ways.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Definitely. They made a huge mistake moving it to Thursday.

    ReplyDelete
  80. It's been dead for awhile.

    ReplyDelete
  81. NCIS: LA got 1.4 last week too, with a 2.2 lead-in.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Yes, but TV shows learn the wrong lessons. Everyone remembers the "Moonlighting" scenario that getting the show leads together kills the show and they keep couples from getting together forever. They forget the "Lois and Clark" scenario where if you promise your fans a wedding and then don't give it to them fans stop watching because the feel betrayed and don't trust the show anymore. Of the two mistakes, I think betraying the audience is the one that a show can't come back from.

    ReplyDelete
  83. That wasn't a "hiatus". They pulled it from schedule and now are just burning off the remaining episodes.

    ReplyDelete
  84. oh really? Would've never guessed :P

    ReplyDelete
  85. Well, since it already had this low number last week after the very high rated Scorpion finale I have a hard time believing that the lead-in really was the problem. I am sure it didn't help but I wouldn't say it was what brought it down, given last week's behavior.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Higher than I expected for Stalker's return, but it's still dead. Ouch at Castle.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Castle lost in demo but win in viewers, i love the show hope for more

    ReplyDelete
  88. I'm happy about that. Last night's episode was amazing. I love my show and I'm rooting for it to go beyond this season (although after last night i'm not sure how but i'm curious to find out), idc what anyone says. The Following is still good.

    ReplyDelete
  89. The real loser is NCIS:LA they have dropped a huge amount of viewers on Monday nights.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Abraham Michaels28 April 2015 at 16:56

You can't let the fans of the show have a win huh?

    ReplyDelete
  91. Don't see how a 1.4 is a "win".

    ReplyDelete
  92. Abraham Michaels28 April 2015 at 17:03

It improved from it's last new episode so that's a win.

    ReplyDelete
  93. It is 8 tenths less than the last show scheduled at this slot.

    ReplyDelete
  94. One issue I have with NCIS:LA (and which is why I prefer the original NCIS), is their "kill the suspect" mentality. Agents in NCIS:LA tend to kill their suspects, rather than disarm/disable them. On regular NCIS, Team Gibbs are usually a bit more professional, surround the suspect, and then if possible take them down, without gunning them down.

Not saying it's a cause, but given the recent tragedies in the US involving law enforcement, perhaps less people are inclined to watch a show where characters behave similarly.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Ugh. First The Messengers, now The Originals. It's even more unbearable to think of considering how many people tune to watch men in tight costumes.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Abraham Michaels28 April 2015 at 19:10

It's up 17% from it's last new episode. You're just being negative about a show you clearly don't like. You don't see me doing that about shows you like.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Actually, I watched the pilot and did kinda like it, but just didn't bother after that.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Abraham Michaels28 April 2015 at 20:05

Well if you don't watch it you shouldn't comment about a show then.

    ReplyDelete
  99. I am commenting about the ratings, not the content.

    ReplyDelete
  100. It'll be back next year

    ReplyDelete
  101. The Originals keep on getting better and better, ratings should be up

    ReplyDelete
