The overnights are your first look at what to potentially expect when the other results come in. Keep in mind, as always, that results for any live sporting event are always approximate.

“50th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards” (CBS)
-Losers (excluding repeats):
“American Odyssey” (NBC), “Revenge” (ABC)

Ratings Breakdown:
CBS outdelivered the three competing networks combined in the household overnights thanks to the “50th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards,” which scored a 9.0 rating/15 share from 8-11 p.m. (peaking in the 9 p.m. half-hour at a 9.6/15). Comparably, this was 10 percent above the year-ago telecast (8.2/13 on 4/06/14), and that 8.2 rating in the overnights translated into 14.17 million viewers and a 3.3 rating/9 share among adults 18-49, based on the Live Plus Same Day data.
Earlier in the evening on the Eye net was granddaddy “60 Minutes” at a dominant 7.4/11 in the overnights from 7-8 p.m.
In the very distant No. 2 spot was ABC with its line-up of “America’s Funniest Home Videos” (#2: 3.6/ 6), “Once Upon a Time” (#2: 3.2/ 5), recent entry “Secrets & Lies” (#3: 3.4/ 5) and “Revenge” (#2: 3.0/ 5), which is unlikely to return next season.
Elsewhere, recently launched NBC Sunday 9-11 p.m. dramas “A.D.: The Bible Continues” (#2: 4.1/ 6) and “American Odyssey” (#3: 2.1/ 4) slipped by 11 percent and 16 percent, respectively, from one week earlier opposite the “ACM Awards.” They led out of “Dateline” (#3: 3.1/ 6) and a repeat of “A.D.: The Bible Continues” (#3: 2.8/ 4) from 7-9 p.m. And Fox populated the evening with repeats of “The Simpsons” (#4: 1.2/ 2) and “Bob’s Burgers” (#4: 1.1/ 2) from 7-8 p.m., an original installment of the regularly scheduled edition of “The Simpsons” at 8 p.m. (#4: 2.1/ 5), an encore telecast of “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” (#4: 1.3/ 2) at 8:30 p.m., and original episodes of “Family Guy” (#4: 2.2/ 3) and “The Last Man on Earth” (#4: 2.2/ 3) from 9-10 p.m.

I feel something bad for OUAT with these Country Awards.... Prolly a new series low under 5 million :'(
ReplyDeleteLOL NBC
ReplyDeleteI know they skew very youg, but FOX shows seem extremely low, based on LMOE's last week performance, all of them will be at 1.3
why its pretty much even vs last week?
ReplyDeleteLooks like another 1.6 or 1.7 for OUAT.
ReplyDeleteI really wish the ABC lineup would go up.
ReplyDeleteThey had 5.14 with the final ratings last week :/ So Idk but I don't have much hope about it ^^
ReplyDeleteI must say I have been enjoying S and L a lot!!
ReplyDeleteOUAT and S&L are up a tenth in HH ratings from last week, while Revenge is steady. But against another award show, I don't think that result is too bad.
ReplyDeleteMaybe next week? I hope too.
ReplyDeletesame but none the less better than CBS, NBC (AD keeps falling) and to on the same level as FOX
ReplyDeleteAgreed, it has been pretty good! Can't wait for the killer reveal in two weeks!
ReplyDeleteMe as well! OUAT was brilliant, on my opinion the best episode of the season.
ReplyDeleteWell, as an european I really don't understand why so many people in the USA watch a show about Country Music. You have so many great series.
ReplyDeleteI wish they didn't kill cruellia
ReplyDeleteI completely agree! Cruella's backstory was perfect! She is prolly the darker character they created for now :D
ReplyDeleteI am European too & just like you I don't really understand ^^'
ReplyDeleteI am American and don't understand it
ReplyDeleteIt always seems t be pre-emptied by something so I don't think that is affecting the ratings .
ReplyDeleteShe had to cause of the dramatic effect. Emma had to be pushed over the edge.
ReplyDeleteIt was really well layered. I truly enjoyed every scene.
ReplyDeletei really hope that OUAT did not get down 1.7 :( this episode was awesome and it deserves more viewers :( revenge was amazing and i really hope ABC will renewal S and L
ReplyDeleteThe country music awards took a huge chunk out of A.D.
ReplyDeleteNeither do I, but I live in the northwest, ot in the south.
ReplyDeleteI mean, the few remanining country stars are going pop and outselling themseles when they were country.
I hope for at least a 1.6 for OUAT. I'm not asking too much, right?
ReplyDeleteIt seems OUAT will do a 1.6 again. Damn! It is in such a great creative place right now!
ReplyDeleteAnd the same can be said for Revenge, which since episode 17 has course corrected itself to become the great show it once was... a little too late I guess
And people watch shows about people who do absolutely nothing and become famous just for the sake of being famous. A show about country music is the least of our problems.
ReplyDeleteAD is probably still dropping and not yet stabilized
ReplyDeleteLooks like revenge is getting 0.9 again, which is a bummer because i wouldn't want it to go out that low.
ReplyDeleteRevenge's HH are hard to tell, the top 25 will give us more insight
ReplyDeleteI think it hasn't stabilized yet
ReplyDeleteEverytime Revenge gets that HH it always ends up with a 0.9.
ReplyDeleteHopefully revenge adjusted up this week
ReplyDeleteI think it's because of the county awards
ReplyDeleteI said "it looks like"
ReplyDeleteBut how does it last week was exception flashback episode i was expecting that with Vicky apparent sucide as i predict should boast ratings to 1.5 area.
ReplyDeleteThat's unlikely, it can't all of the sudden jump 6 tenths
ReplyDeleteAfter last night's episode I just don't know how they would do a season 5... I just have no idea
ReplyDeletebecause their stupid at organising secdules reason revenge getting less ratings now then season 1
ReplyDeleteCan ratings funny for we know could be 2.0
ReplyDeleteMe too! After possibly killing of victoria, It has become even more convincing that revenge will end this season.
ReplyDeleteSimple Victoria faked her death after being back into corner by Emily will reveal herself be alive at end two graves
ReplyDeleteBecause nielsen viewers suck
ReplyDeleteTheir revenge haters loads on this site and tv by the numbers
ReplyDeleteI think that would be a middle finger to the audience, being tricked into the biggest death of the show so far. It makes more sense to bring Conrad back than Victoria, who we saw lighting the fire. There is no way she made it out of the Greyson mannor in time, and unless she planted a fake robot instead to do her bidding, I just don't see how she could have faked it
ReplyDeleteI can definitely see Abby being a young sociopath who killed Tom. I wouldn't know why she did it though, but it could be part of a twisted plan to keep her parents together. My other suspects are: Dave, Jess, Nicole Mullen (Jess' sister) and Christy's brother. Maybe Christy or Natalie.
ReplyDeleteOr season 5 will be Charlotte against Emily.
ReplyDeleteConrad bleed to death he dead it would be a jump the shark even more then David as we never saw him bleed out he storyline has end.
ReplyDeleteWhy would she didn't she forgive Emily before she left
ReplyDeleteCountry music is actually one of the most popular genres in music.
ReplyDeleteI think you guys should keep this discussion out of here out of respect for those who have not watched it yet. I watched it this morning exactly to prevent this as I was expecting this to happen lol, but others might still be in the dark. It is a huge spoiler!
ReplyDeleteI wish the entire ABC lineup was doing much, much better. Such a shame.
ReplyDeleteHow man award shows do we really need by the way? So many of them!
ReplyDeleteWhy check this sit called spoiler tv if haven't watch it just saying.
ReplyDeleteThis is a ratings thread. You should be able to come in here just to discuss numbers without being spoiled about what happens in the actual episodes, in my humble opinion. There are a lot of foreign people coming to the site like myself who do not get to watch live and to whom it is virtually impossible to be caught up on all shows at all time. Doesn't mean we shouldn't be able to discuss the ratings.
ReplyDeleteWe're on the RATINGS section not on the revenge one.
ReplyDeleteAnd Victoria faking her death wouldn't be jumping the shark? Just tell me how could she have faked her death, Is there really a possible explanation?
ReplyDeleteThat's just not true. Revenge has gone up against major flops BC and AO and not budged even though S&L is higher against TWD/GoT. Bad writing and the David betrayal hurt more than anything. Still it had four complete seasons. A very solid run and an opportunity to provide closure.
ReplyDeleteI just put "after last night's episode" and then the beans were spilled. But yeah, I agree with you
ReplyDeleteDavid death was faked it was explain Conrad coming back will be even bigger betrayal we saw him die
ReplyDeleteNot this site just TV by the numbers
ReplyDeleteSorry i didn't realise not every knows sites like couch tunner other sites.
ReplyDeleteAren't must user same on both
ReplyDeleteIf anything, there are plenty of revenge lovers here; some people are critical of it, but usually in a respectful manner, which is not something that often happens. In TVBTN, however, there are plenty of toxic haters, which is why I don't go there anymore
ReplyDeleteYes, the way you did it I think is fine.
ReplyDeleteAnd they don't get ratings first why does this site get them first.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I love about this site, everyone respects everyone's opinions.
ReplyDeleteYeah would mind if season 4 wasn't end both season 5 would be when announce season 5 they say it last series.
ReplyDeleteHoping for a 1.4 for secrets and lies and a 1.7 for OUAT!
ReplyDeleteNo more than anything else. And the decline was only 11%. Not something more significant, which would indicate a massive effect. I think the continuing decline is due to the calendar moving farther from Easter and the show getting to its true core audience willing to watch a religious themed show weekly.
ReplyDeleteChristy's brother is a strong suspect now!
ReplyDeleteHappy for OUAT & Secrets & Lies-Both the shows are great right now!
ReplyDeleteAs for Revenge-Last night was spectacular considering they doesn't back out from that end twist next episode. It's a shame the numbers doesn't reflet that!
HH ?what that
ReplyDeleteGot a suspicious vibe from him in the last couple of eps.
ReplyDeleteIt's possible Christy called him after her fight with Ben. Since he has been unhappy with Ben from the beginning of their marriage, maybe he killed Tom and set him up as a suspect so Christy would finally leave him.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea. For me, the Emmys and the Golden Globes are the most important ones. I'm mildly interested in the Oscars. The rest don't mean much to me.
ReplyDeleteIt makes perfect sense. He has the perfect motive and means to pull this kind of plan & also the fact he has been kept pretty DL up until now.Someone flying under the radar.
ReplyDeleteEvery episode of 4b gets better and better and Cruella's episode is no exception! The ending was sad cause I loved her character :(
ReplyDeleteA.D. is an event watch, simple as that. I am confused though how this can't fo any good when History Channel's The Bible could.
ReplyDeleteLast Man deserves to be higher.
I have not watched revenge yet and will watch it tonight! So no spoilers since i know it was a huge episode!!@
ReplyDeleteI have watched already ;)
ReplyDeleteHow was it?
ReplyDeleteI think it's best if we talk later. By the way, don't scroll down! Some people were saying spoilery things.
ReplyDeleteI will watch it tonight and am SO excited
ReplyDeleteYeah i did not ;) i guess it was awesome
ReplyDeleteEpisode Discussion should go in the appropriate posts not here in the Ratings Posts.
ReplyDeletePeople come here for ratings news and not potential spoilers.
Thank you.
True. Especially for those who live outside of the US like me and cannot watch until they day after
ReplyDeleteI personally loved it but I thought it suffered a bit from over-hyping. Like people exaggerated the greatness that was to be expected of the episode, in my opinion. So while I loved it, it was no Abduction, for instance. But it's still very good and the ending... Wow! But you need to watch it.
ReplyDeleteDon't scroll down the page. I don't watch the show, but spoilers are below.
ReplyDeleteThanks for that Andy! I so agree with this message!
ReplyDeleteI saw how people were discussing so i did not go down. Thx for the warning again :)
ReplyDeleteI thought you already saw the episode.
ReplyDeleteWinners: Academy of Country Music Awards
ReplyDeleteHonorable Mention: Once Upon a Time, Secrets and Lies, Family Guy
Losers: Revenge, A.D., American Odyssey
My god, A.D. is a flop as well!! NBC managed what I thought was impossible!
OUAT: 1.6
ReplyDeleteS&L: 1.4
Revenge: 1
really was it posted
ReplyDeleteYay, S&L is up a tenth!
ReplyDeleteSad to see OUAT still the same and Revenge still below 4 million
ReplyDeleteHoped for OUAT to raise but it didn't drop so it's good!
ReplyDeleteCould be worse. But I wish OUAT would adjust up in there. I am glad that Secrets and Lies is hanging in there though. I really think ABC should bring it back to bridge TGIT.
ReplyDeleteSecrets and Lies seems like a sure thing to me considering how steady rock it has been this season
ReplyDeleteRevenge 1.0 ok but not enough for renewal I'm guessing.
ReplyDeleteAt least Secrets and Lies and Revenge are up against ACM.
ReplyDeleteSecrets and Lies has been awesome. I have yet to watch last night's but I really like it. Can't wait for the killer reveal and my money is still Abby!
ReplyDeleteTypical for Once
ReplyDeleteSo every ABC show is up except for Once Upon a Time -_-
ReplyDeleteHalves for ABC
ReplyDeleteOUAT: 1.6/1.7
S&L: 1.5/1.4
Revenge: 1.1/1.0
I think it is heavily on the bubble and I am not even sure if it leans renewal or not to be honest. I think it could go either way. It is steady but not at a particularly high level. We shall see.
ReplyDeleteI'm not seeing any rating beside ABC's, how did A.D and the FOX comedies perform?
ReplyDeletethe show is pretty much done even with its storylines, it has a real feeling of closure right now
ReplyDeleteThose halves are good and at least one of them should manage an upwards adjustment!
ReplyDeleteA.D.: 1.1
ReplyDeleteSimpsons: 1.4
FG: 1.7
LMOE: 1.7
I kinda hope it's Revenge even though it's the last episodes, I want it to leave with some dignity
ReplyDeleteI think constantly delivering mid 1s is enough to keep it around, at least to act as a bridge
ReplyDeleteI hope OUAT adjusts up and rises more towards the end of the season. The quality has really been picking up so hopefully people start watching live or come back to it again.
ReplyDeleteHate that every single ABC show averaged down. Maybe they'll be adjustments
ReplyDeleteHigh end half hours.
ReplyDeleteI still don't believe on a Secrets and Lies renewal, where could ABC place it? New dramas on sundays and after murder ends seem to be a better options, since ABC would have only tuesdays and wednesdays free to premiere something new.
I would hope so but the history of limited seasons on broadcast has been nothing sort of terrible. Even big hits fell big in Season 2, so I am hesitant. I think it should be renewed and I hope it is, but I could see it going either way.
ReplyDeleteAD crashed hard. If it doesn't recover by next week that second season they are working on will not see the light of day
ReplyDeletegood halves for OUAT
ReplyDeletehopefully it adjusts
Maybe with after that ending with last episode Revenge will probably rise to a 1.2 next week.
ReplyDeleteTGIT bridge.
ReplyDeletenbc keeps flopping 😜
ReplyDeleteGreat for FG+LMOE, and FOX is going to screw it for Bordertown.
ReplyDeleteLOL A.D.
I think it would probably still air, albeit on a different channel. This is essentially a season 2 from the bible anyways, so that would be a third season.
ReplyDeletelet's hope, the show is getting better :) I hope the finale will be epic
ReplyDeleteYeah, I have been really enjoying it as well! And I agree with you that it should be used as a TGIT bridge. Given how twisty it is, I'm sure it could appeal to the HTGAWM audience and possibly the Scandal audience.
ReplyDeleteAbby is one of my prime suspects as well. Last night was great and the promo for next week looks awesome!
That's pathetic for NBC. There only hope for a freshman renewal is gone with that AD drop.
ReplyDeleteS&L is doing pretty well. It deserves to be renewed.
Wow AD tanked fast.
ReplyDeleteI don't know how NBC keeps doing this. Their degree of failure with new shows is almost unbelievable. 1.1, jeez!!!
ReplyDeleteI knew AD and AO would bomb but it's still difficult to look at those ratings! And curse you Family Guy for being 0.1 above OUAT again!
ReplyDeleteMe too! the show is getting so much, and I at least hope that some of its old viewers will return to watch the ending. This show deserves that at least
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear it, I will watch it tonight ;)
ReplyDeleteI agree. I was mad when I found out OUAT spoilers here a moment ago :( Now I'm not going to enjoy in the episode as much as I would without the spoilers.
ReplyDeleteSame 1.0 not great
ReplyDeleteABC should've promote those last episodes as the end and not just being suspicious
ReplyDeleteSo have one great finale if truly end.
ReplyDeleteThat 1.5 in the first half hour is really good for S&L.
ReplyDeleteLast week it actually had a 1.34, so that was actually also better than it first looked.
ReplyDeleteA.D. skews old as well, Biblical Laura.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Undateable, you won that pity renewal.
I'm so glad for Secrets and Lies! Hope it at least have a small chance for renewal
ReplyDeleteThat promo was crazy.
ReplyDeleteWell, I guess American Odyssey could be pulled off the schedule any minute now. Shame, the show is pretty good.
ReplyDeleteSince it isn't technically a newbie, NBC is now in a serious position not to renew any freshman series. Has that ever happened? I really thought the discussion was going to be mute and that .A.D was going to save face for them. But now I have no clue how they come out of this looking decent.
ReplyDeletethat's our hope
ReplyDeleteIkr! I don't get why they don't just announce it officially, so that people will know for sure that its the end. I have to admit, for the past couple of weeks, each episode looked like it was gearing up more for the end.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't say they do 'absolutely nothing or become famous for the sake of being famous.' Country singers/bands are just like rock, soul, blues, hiphop singers and bands. They tour, grew up learning an instrument/s and write music. They are entertainers.
ReplyDeleteIt was also country's 50th anniversary, they all get together and besides receiving awards they jam just like any other award/music show.
I think it has a real chance, it's really consistent and it's doing much better than Resurrection.
ReplyDeletestill good for OUAT but low. At least it's renewed. I don't think S5 can be renewed into S6 with 1.6. Hope it rebounds with S5. I don't get why people lost interest in OUAT. We deserve S5 with no cliffhanger at least. A&E hope you do,
ReplyDeleteLast night felt like everything is coming to a definite end soon!
ReplyDeleteIt's good and it's definitely being pulled. No doubt about it.
ReplyDeleteIt's their second highest freshman drama!
ReplyDeletesame here, in January I really felt like a short 5th season could be possible but with the storylines coming to an end + the spoilers on a season 5 renewal with a big reboot, I'd rather see the show ending this year
ReplyDeleteNBC is pathetic.
ReplyDeleteOUAT will likely get a 6 th and final season imo
ReplyDeleteThey should have just done it when the "accidentally" removed it from the calender on their site.
ReplyDeleteIs you know who actually dead not saying because to told not to by user spoilers are not great this site.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking the same thing.
ReplyDeleteI remember that Agents Carter is the second.
ReplyDeletelooks revenge is going out with a whimper for its final eps
ReplyDeleteOUAT steady and Revenge up tho it's only a tent but it's something :(
ReplyDeleteDid watch last night episode
ReplyDeleteAquarius will also flop hard.
ReplyDeleteeven with 1.6 or lower? I hope so but don't bet it.
ReplyDelete
