  • 16:51 : The 100 - Season 3 - Julia Benson and Shawna Benson join the writing staff

  • 16:39 : The Flash - Candice Patton Interview
    1) How did you get into acting and did the job turn out to be how you pictured it?

From a young age I would watch "I Love Lucy" every night. I fell in love with Lucielle Ball and I knew I wanted to do whatever it was she was doing. So I started doing plays in school and never really stopped. I moved to LA after school and I worked steadily, but it took years before I booked "The Flash". It's hard work and took me away from my home in LA, but it's rewarding to see how much fans are enjoying the show.

    2) You play Iris on "The Flash". What was the casting process like, were there chemistry readings and things like that?

My first audition was in December 2013 for the role of Iris West. I didn't hear back and assumed I didn't get the job. I went home to Texas for Christmas and when I came back to LA in January my managers said casting wanted me to come back in and read with Grant Gustin. A couple days later I had the job. It's still pretty surreal.

    3) What was your most memorable moment on set so far?

The day "The Flash" premiered I was on set, Grant and I were working, and it aired and twitter exploded and I suddenly realized we were a part of something great.

  • Unforgettable - Season 4 - James Liao returns
Unforgettable‘s James Liao is joining series stars Poppy Montgomery and Dylan Walsh for the series’ upcoming fourth season on A&E. The cable network and producer Sony Pictures TV secured Montgomery and Walsh before making the deal for a new season of the drama, which had been cancelled by CBS in the fall after three seasons. Liao is the first cast member to be brought back since then. Because the options on all actors had expired, new deals need to be made.

  • 13:51 : MOVIES: Green Lantern - Rumor - Chris Pine Wanted For Lead Role
Meanwhile in DC Land, El Mayimbe has been hearing Chris Pine for Hal Jordan. Oh, Hal Jordan, you scoundrel. In a Warner Bros cinematic universe where there’s an old Batman and Superman is fairly new, we thought we could sneak by you to another Lantern, but no. Jordan has the Will, we should have known.

Chris Pine seems like a great choice. The Star Trek franchise isn’t something that can be that much of a conflict considering how floundering Star Trek 3 has been since JJ Abrams decamped to Star Wars. He’s charming and well known enough to spin off into his own franchise sometime in the future and, most importantly, his name is Chris. Lots of successful superheroes these days are played by someone named Chris.

About The SpoilerTV Daily Newsreel

Every day 100's of items are submitted to us and we don't always have the time to make separate posts for the news and/or there is so much that it would quickly push all other items off the homepage.

So a result we've come up with the idea of the Newsreel, which will feature smaller shows and news items as they happen.

There will be a new Newsreel each day, and as news is added we will update the post and and push it back to the top of the site so that you can see that new items have been added. A tweet of the item will also be sent to our @SpoilerTV account.

New Items will be listed at the top of the article.

This will allow us to provide more news on more shows in a much more timely fashion

  1. The Red Road! I don't know what it is about this show that hooked me but I love it. I can't wait for April.

  2. Justified - Yay Loretta is back (again). Always great to see her.

  3. GTA should go to the big screen tbh

  4. I hope they manage to get Jane Curtin to come back. Her character is the bright spot of the show.

  5. I like both Shawna and Julia. I wonder if The 100 is losing a writer. I know AC works on other projects. As long as we don't lose Shumway or Miller.

  6. I love scenes between Loretta and Raylan. I actually think that girl could take Markham down on her own.

  7. I believe Bruce Miller is leaving since he is writing a pilot (see http://deadline.com/2015/02/jenji-kohan-new-world-pilot-hbo-gus-van-sant-1201377134/). Also joining the The 100 writing staff for season 3 is Javier Grillo-Marxuach.

  8. Backstrom: I thought it was an unspoken truth that Valentine was Backstrom's son? They've been hinting at it since episode one, with the doctor commenting on their resemblance, their close relationship, the fact that he knew Valentine's mother and their similar maneurism.

  9. Thanks Daniel, I haven't heard this. I hate it. He wrote my favorite episodes. I'm always leery of new writers coming in, changing the dynamic. Supernatural has scarred me for life.
    *Spacewalker
    *Twilight's Last Gleaming
    *The Calm
Resurrection too but it's not in my top 5.

  11. I don't know what to think about The 100 getting so many new writers tbh...

  12. Super cool about Andy Samberg hosting the Emmys!

    ReplyDelete
  13. Given the first movie(Frozen) was a huge success, the sequel was inevitable. Can't wait!

  14. Andy Samberg is a hit and miss with me... so this Emmy thing can really go either way...

Re Young And Hungry: Wonder if that New Woman is Kylie...

Frozen 2 is... expected... But over all? Meh...

Grand Theft Auto? Really BBC? It's a good thing you're the BBC and could make this somewhat worthy & watchable...

Re Baby Daddy: Tucker you are my hero! "Congratulations! You're the last one to know!" Hats off to you sir! Hats! Off!
Also HA!! At Ben's middle name being Bon Jovi!
Double HA!!! at Bonnie being proud of her boy being cunning!
Triple HA! At Riley being resigned to the crazyness!

Chris Pine would make a fine Hal Jordan, but I was hoping the next Green Lantern would be John... :(

I think Valentine is Backstrom's son and that was heavily implied in the pilot too!

    YAY for those Daredevil characters!
