Note: The following labels are based on the household overnights and are subject to change given the availability of other pending data streams. The overnights are your first look at what to potentially expect when the other results come in. And we always take into account other benchmarks including the expected demographic ratings, potential DVR usage, the critical acclaim (or lack of) and the social media presence. Keep in mind, as always, that results for any live sporting event are always approximate.

-Winners:
“60 Minutes” (CBS), “Madam Secretary” (CBS), “The Last Man on Earth” (Fox)

-Could Be Better/Could Be Worse:
“Secrets and Lies” (ABC)

-Disappointing:
“Battle Creek” (CBS)

-Losers (excluding repeats):
“Bob’s Burgers” (Fox), “Dateline” (Fox)

Ratings Breakdown:
Results were mixed for the three series premieres last night: crime dramas “Secrets and Lies” on ABC and “Battle Creek” on CBS and sitcom “The Last Man on Earth” on Fox.

Beginning with dominant CBS, the launch of “Battle Creek” was the highest rated of the trio, with a first-place 4.8 rating/8 share in the household overnights from 10-11 p.m. Comparably, however, veteran “CSI” opened its 15th season in the time period with a 5.8/10 on 9/28/14. “Battle Creek” debuted 23 percent below the 9:30 p.m. portion of lead-in “The Good Wife” (#1: 6.1/ 9). And the results among the key young adult demographics are likely to be limited given who is watching “The Good Wife.” Since most new series (excluding “Empire” on Fox, of course) drop 10 to 20 percent in week two, consider this a modest start for “Battle Creek” on CBS.

Earlier in the evening on the Eye net was granddaddy “60 Minutes” (#1 for the night: 9.3/15 from 7-8 p.m.), followed the returns of “Madam Secretary” (#1: 7.6/12 at 8 p.m.), which has clearly earned its second season renewal stripes, and aforementioned “The Good Wife” (#1: 6.1/ 9 at 9 p.m.).

On ABC, the two-hour debut of “Secrets and Lies” earned immediate brownie points for holding the household overnight lead-in support from “Once Upon a Time,” with a 4.0/ 6 from 9-11 p.m. Comparably, this was an improvement over the recent 9-11 p.m. pairing of dramas “Resurrection” and “Revenge.” And the four half-hours fluctuated by only one-tenth of a rating point. So, what the viewers saw kept them interested…at least initially. “Secrets and Lies” should also have no trouble besting competing “Battle Creek” in the 10 p.m. hour in the key demos (thanks to lead-in “Once Upon a Time”), but a 4.0 overnight household rating is still nothing to really boast about.

Next week on ABC, “Revenge” returns to the 10 p.m. hour out of “Secrets and Lies” from 9-10 p.m.

Earlier in the evening on the alphabet net was 7 p.m. clips show “Once Upon a Time: Secrets From Storybrooke” (#3: 2.9/ 5) into the aforementioned return of “Once Upon a Time” (#2t: 4.0/ 6 from 8-9 p.m.), which is expected to generate respectable interest in the key demo groups.

On Fox, the two-episode debut of comedy “The Last Man on Earth” was the lowest rated of the three new shows in the overnights with a 3.7/ 6 in the 9 p.m. half-hour (#3) and a 3.8/ 6 (#3) at 9:30 p.m. But overnight growth out of lead-in “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” (#4: 2.3/ 3 at 8:30 p.m.) was a hefty 65 percent. “The Last Man on Earth” is poised for time period victory in the key young adult demos. And the second episode actually grew by one-tenth of a rating point in a time period know for considerable erosion. That said, consider episodes one and two of “The Last Man on Earth” with Will Forte a “winning” start.

Earlier in the evening on Fox was a repeat of “The Simpsons” (#4: 1.6/ 3 at 7 p.m.) into “Bob’s Burgers” (#4: 1.6/ 4 at 7: 30 p.m.) and diluted “The Simpsons” (#4: 2.4/ 4 in the 8 p.m. half-hour). Am I the only one who has noticed how far “The Simpsons” has fallen?

NBC capped off this first night in March with a two-hour encore airing of “The Voice” (3.6/ 6 from 7-9 p.m.) and a lackluster two-hour edition of “Dateline” (2.7/ 4 from 9-11 p.m.)

  1. Great for The Last Man on Earth,it was the best out of all FOX comedies.

    ReplyDelete
  2. Battle Creek looks very DOA,good for Secrets and Lies keeping HH rating from OUAT.

    ReplyDelete
  3. I did not expect Last Man on Earth on the winners category from Marc for whatever that is worth. I hope we get top 25s today, I really can't tell anything from the overnights.

    ReplyDelete
  4. So did I get it right OUAT and S&L were on 4.0?
    Solid!

    ReplyDelete
  5. Hope people stick to S&L it's pretty entertaining

    ReplyDelete
  6. Well judging by the HH,LMoE bested 2nd highest FOX show(The Simpsons-2.4) and rose from its lead-in.

    ReplyDelete
  7. What was the OUATs last episode HH?

    ReplyDelete
  8. I'm not sure that its a winner just for beating B99, which probably didn't do better than low 1s, right?

    ReplyDelete
  9. Im guessing it does the best out of all FOX comedies.

    ReplyDelete
  10. If a post apocalyptic male skewing show airing against the biggest male skewing post apocalyptic shows on television (the walking dead) really outgrew its lead-in significantly I think it is cause for a winner placement unless the lead-in was really low to begin with. We shall see.

    ReplyDelete
  11. How mighty have fallen.Looking at you The Simpsons.

    ReplyDelete
  12. How is MS and 60 mins winner, when both are likely to do mid to low 1s

    ReplyDelete
  13. Just watched. Was quite entertaining, especially the 2nd episode. Will keep with the show till the end.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Battle Creek being lower than CSI, that doesn't look good. Not unexpected though, given its incompatible lead-ins. Secrets and Lies holding its OUAT lead-in seems somewhat positive.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Same here, I'm still watching episode 2 but I like it

    ReplyDelete
  16. Unless it skews very young, I'm not really seeing the positivity for Last Man On Earth either. It grew from Brooklyn Nine-Nine, but that's because it had a huge promotional campaign. I'd be concerned if it didn't grow.

I'm actually more impressed with Secrets and Lies. I thought that it would come in DOA and those are impressiveness half hours if they hold.

Battle Creek was doomed from the start.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Well it was competing against TWD which skews audience similiar to LMoE.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Gaia Di Lorenzo2 March 2015 at 14:26

OUAT isn't a loser or a winner? Did they forget it? :O

not even honorable mentioned'? Where is it?

    ReplyDelete
  19. That's tough to call until we know more about the demo breakdowns. Similar themes have skewed differently before.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Kudos to Secrets and Lies for retaining OUAT's viewers, that's quite an accomplishment.
And OUAT... well, it could have been worse. Will probably see low 2s. Smash The Mirror got a 4.0 and got a 2.3, so it could be an OK start for it

    ReplyDelete
  21. Calm down, a 4.0 probably means low 2s demo, which is fine

    ReplyDelete
  22. He takes older skewing viewership into account when he assigns the labels.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Agree,S and L did well against TWD and it also dropped only 1 tenth in HH in the 2nd hour.Looks promising to me.

    ReplyDelete
  24. hopefully it does a 2,3/2.4 which would be in line of the OZ arc

    ReplyDelete
  25. I guess, but than that just stupid imo LOL

    ReplyDelete
  26. Next week will tell us more. It is no Resurrection, obviously, but it seems like an OK start.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Gaia Di Lorenzo2 March 2015 at 14:30

I was just asking i am nervous but calm I'll always be till I don't see renewed word

    ReplyDelete
  28. OUAT is getting renewed 100 percent.

    ReplyDelete
  29. OUAT deserves better ratings !

    ReplyDelete
  30. ABC renews everything on May, so you'll have to wait and I suggest you not to worry about it: the Earth will shatter before OUAT gets cancelled

    ReplyDelete
  31. Battle Creek seems DOA-ish, as expecteed.
    Decent for S&L and LMoE.

    ReplyDelete
  32. It seems low for OUAT :(

    ReplyDelete
  33. I don't get why Last Man On Earth is a winner whereas OUAT is not.

    ReplyDelete
  34. 6 millions viewers I guess

    ReplyDelete
  35. Exactly, lower than season premiere of 3B :(

    ReplyDelete
  36. I know but 4A was so boring that people may have left it for now

    ReplyDelete
  37. Especially the Snow Queen, for me one of the worst villians in OUAT.

    ReplyDelete
  38. It was somewhat boring but it was nowhere *near* as boring as Neverland in 3A.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I was really excited about it but the whole thing was just too slow

    ReplyDelete
  40. LMoE built substantially from it's lead-in.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Gaia Di Lorenzo2 March 2015 at 14:35

I know they do in may. & thanks but can't you know why. People say they will quit so until may please bare me will you? I need s6 too

    ReplyDelete
  42. Gaia Di Lorenzo2 March 2015 at 14:36

    me too love it

    ReplyDelete
  43. Don't forget that it hit highs in 4A, too.

    ReplyDelete
  44. for the premiere but then it just went down almost all the time if I do remember correctly

    ReplyDelete
  45. This looks awful for Bob’s Burgers

    ReplyDelete
  46. Now, it stabilized in the 2.4-2.6 range before the last string of episodes.

    ReplyDelete
  47. So happy for Last Man on Earth. Not record-breaking numbers but it's great given the competition and the fact that it improved from B99. Hate to say it but I'm kinda glad Battle Creek flopped, I really hated it the pilot.

    ReplyDelete
  48. It's not always just based on numbers, but growth, competition, etc.

    ReplyDelete
  49. the eps after that thanksgiving break just is where it didn't perform well

    ReplyDelete
  50. It has 90% rating on RT and I just don't see it.

    ReplyDelete
  51. It's mean to want a show to flop just because you don't like it.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Unsurprisingly. It always gets thrown under the bus, but luckily for the fans its renewed for basically another two seasons. Bet FOX wished they still had American Dad. I just don't understand how they always treat it like it's getting burned off.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Is TGW doing good or bad?

    ReplyDelete
  54. Is doing decent.

    That's simple.

    ReplyDelete
  55. It was doomed, regardless.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Because he sees the Top 25 demos and that influences it as well.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Yeah, I really hated her. But I did like S4A, I just hated the Snow Queen

    ReplyDelete
  58. The Good Wife has seen pretty poor numbers for at least the last two seasons now. It always gets overlooked for cancellation but I think the critical acclaim and demographics it hits will keep it alive for now. Madam Secretary wil probably take over its slot sooner or later.

    ReplyDelete
  59. 2,4 would be major, especially after that winter finale slip.
It was a solid episode, but will it drag the viewers back, not sure.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Its last known HH rating (from January 5) was 7.0/10. MS was 7.7/11. So TGW dropped some tenths and MS only dipped one tenth. I'm positive though that TGW will be renewed, likely for a final season.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Yea, my hoping doesn't really have an affect on it lol

    ReplyDelete
  62. People who say they'll quit are usually outside of the US. The audience for the show should remain low 2 and high 1s, with the possibility of a surge, keeping it as one of the most reliable ABC shows, especially on Sunday.
Don't waste time being nervious, chill and enjoy the show :)

    ReplyDelete
  63. Top 25 Numbers are now in the table

    ReplyDelete
  64. does he know top 25 so early though?

    ReplyDelete
  65. That seems insane to me lol. I remember our writers all seemed to really like it but jeeze... I found it so boring, totally copy-and-paste from other crime procedurals and the humor constantly missed the mark for me.

    ReplyDelete
  66. OK, that's pretty awful for Battle Creek. Even if it rises three tenths, it's still completely DOA.

    ReplyDelete
  67. its doing how it usually does, it will be renewed but S7 being the final season seems likely, just because things are coming full-circle plotwise.

    ReplyDelete
  68. pretty good for LMoE

    ReplyDelete
  69. And the characters; so dull.
I am happy that I am not the only one here who disliked it.

    ReplyDelete
  70. 1.7 for Secrets and Lies is not too bad if it doesn't drop too much. ABC tends to go down from top 25, right?

    ReplyDelete
  71. Bryan Champion2 March 2015 at 14:49

Ouch ! I guess it's not good at all for Battle Creek...

    ReplyDelete
  72. Not bad for OUAT. Hopefully it will stay there

    ReplyDelete
  73. same but much better than that 1.7

    ReplyDelete
  74. And it held the demo from half hour to half hour in Top 25.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Has OUAT ever rised from TOP 25?

    ReplyDelete
  76. Do you have the half hours for S&L, if you could?

    ReplyDelete
  77. Exactly. With the worst possible lead-in on CBS' schedule, CBS had a reason for moving Cyber from Sunday at 10 and putting Battle Creek there. (It certainly is the least compatible lead-in as well. Any other night would've been better. Scorpion, NO, H50 would've been best and, even Thursday at 10 without HTGAWM might have produced better results.)

    ReplyDelete
  78. Gaia Di Lorenzo2 March 2015 at 14:50

thanks. I will try. I die without it you know. :)

    ReplyDelete
  79. Not to my knowledge but you can ask @omabin. He probably knows it.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Quite the drop considering it has the same HH as OUAT, even though that doesn't have to tell anything.
But think if it holds over 1,5 throughout the season it could snatch a renewal.

    ReplyDelete
  81. OUAT if possible, thanks

    ReplyDelete
  82. The drop at 10 p.m. isn't too alarming considering it's a lower PUT hour.

    ReplyDelete
  83. It can either stay the same or down a tenth, but I've never seen it rise

    ReplyDelete
  84. Decent for S&Ls and good for OUAT

    ReplyDelete
  85. Awful for Battle Creek. I wonder if CBS will pull it.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Unlikely for it do hold a 1.5 when it is entirely possible that it would around that number just tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  87. That depends, do they have something to fill in the timeslot?

    ReplyDelete
  88. Other than repeats? Not really.

    ReplyDelete
  89. they can still air the last episodes of Stalker as burnoff

    ReplyDelete
  90. They have the remaining 5 Stalker eps. ^_^

    ReplyDelete
  91. A whole season of CSI (R). haha They really should move Elementary there - it seems like the only show that could possibly be compatible with TGW. Better yet, move TGW to 10 pm.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Just wrote the same comment.

    ReplyDelete
  93. 3 episodes. I would love to see them though!

    ReplyDelete
  94. Ohhh yes it was a 20 episdoe season 1 order.

    ReplyDelete
  95. The entire FOX lineup seems much healthier now: The Simpsons at 1.7 is ok, and it is really impressive tha B99 grow on it, and even more impressive what Last Man on Earth did.
Notice to FOX: Why don't you try split seasons and avoid January and February all together?

    ReplyDelete
  96. Wow at Last Man On Earth!

I gotta stop giving ratings predictions to shows I don't watch haha.

    ReplyDelete
  97. As long as it remains there, Secrets and Lies may have had a decent rated premiere, but it doesn't have room to fall.

    ReplyDelete
  98. I think it will. They did well advertising it, and may attract people who were turned off by them cashing in on Frozen.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Last Man on Earth did way better than I thought. GO LMOE! Also, S&L could've done better considering how ABC promoted the show.

    ReplyDelete
  100. I think we can expect the viewership this season to be on par with S3B

    ReplyDelete
  101. It did, but it took it 8 episodes to reach the season 3 premiere ratings, so the surge was substancial, at least at the beginning of the season

    ReplyDelete
  102. And November or whenever baseball takes over.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Last Man On Earth looks like its done better than expected, good for the show and for FOX who needed to bolster their comedies.
Secret and Lies looks to have done ok, not great but its better than coming in an outright hit.
Battle Creek as expected flopped out of the gate. Why the hell did CBS air it behind TGW?

    ReplyDelete
  104. I missed the new premieres thanks to this beautiful snow storm we had. I don't know which one to watch first. I'm thinking Secrets and Lies. Battle Creek looks like it let me down. I'll read some reviews.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Gaia Di Lorenzo2 March 2015 at 15:03

ouat did 1.7 to you? It is decent but not that good....

    ReplyDelete
  106. What does OUAT's ratings have to do with Secrets and Lies?

    ReplyDelete
  107. No, TGW will stay at 9 together with MS.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Looks like my OUAT predictions were spot on. I expect this arc to follow similar ratings to 3B which would be fantastic :)

And this arc is gearing up to be a great one, I didn't think anything could top 3B, but then I enjoyed 4A even more and now 4B looks to be even better! Go OUAT!

    ReplyDelete
  109. I really hope sooooooo! But more I hope the storytelling will get better cause 4A was all over the place.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Gaia Di Lorenzo2 March 2015 at 15:06

I like it too. What do you think OUAT did? 1.7 or 1.9?

    ReplyDelete
  111. On average, it has been doing roughly 98% of its top 25 market this season which in practice means that it is likely to stay even. 2.3 is quite a good number for it though.

    ReplyDelete
  112. It is. Let's see if OUAT's 4B can replicate the awesomeness that was 3B.

    ReplyDelete
  113. It depends from show to show. The data I have suggests that most Sunday shows tend to stay the same from what they were in top 25 markets. OUAT is virtually unchanged on average. Revenge used to fall a bit and retain only ~86% of its top 25 markets but that's the worse one I have. Resurrection used to hang at 92%. But it's really hard to make the call without having data for a specific show as the viewing profiles tend to vary a lot.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Bryan Champion2 March 2015 at 15:09

I bet they'll move Elementary on Sunday next season to replace Battle Creek...

    ReplyDelete
  115. OUAT probably did a 2.2 judging from its top 25

    ReplyDelete
  116. Gaia Di Lorenzo2 March 2015 at 15:10

so what do you exspect a 1.9 for this ep or higher?

    ReplyDelete
  117. Yes! Stalker still fighting. It's doing so much better than BC. Let's see how CSI cyber does.

    ReplyDelete
  118. The entire CBS slate looks atrocious though. The political dramas seem to have had one of their worst showings ever. Unlike the weekdays, CBS Sunday dramas don't tend to rise from top 25 dramas.

    ReplyDelete
  119. Higher, 2.2-2.3 is my guess.

    ReplyDelete
  120. The Snow Queen is the only thing I didn't like of S4A, I thought as a whole it was solid. I do have high expectations for S4B

    ReplyDelete
  121. Predictions?

    Once 2.2
    S&L 1.5-1.6

    Battle Creek 1.1
    TGW 1.5
    Madam Secretary 1.6

    The Simpsons 1.3
    Brooklyn 99 1.4
    Last man on earth 2.2
    Last man on earth 2.2

    ReplyDelete
  122. I haven't watched last night's episode yet but I am very eager to do it.

    ReplyDelete
  123. I would bet the same thing

    ReplyDelete
  124. I love Stalker but the show is dead. Besides, Battle Creek had virtually the worst timeslot on the entire CBS schedule, while Stalker has a great timeslot so it really isn't a fair comparison.

    ReplyDelete
  125. I was talking more on the ratings side. And yes, I also have yet to watch last night's episode. But the Wicked Witch is probably going to be the best arc outside of S1.

    ReplyDelete
  126. Gaia Di Lorenzo2 March 2015 at 15:13

yay. I just beg for a renewal I hear many people wanna quit. I cant live without the show

    ReplyDelete
  127. I agree, Stalker is certain to be canceled at this point and I adore the show and I hope it did better

    ReplyDelete
  128. I agree, Stalker is dead. But we have to consider that every CBS show, except Person Of Interest has so many problems in the 10:00 pm slot.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Guesses based on top 25 markets only:
    - OUAT: 2.3
    - Secrets and Lies: 1.5-1.6 (assuming a skew on line with OUAT/Ressurection/Revenge, which may not be the case)

    - Madam Secretary: 1.2-1.3
    - The Good Wife 1.0-1.1
    - Battle Creek: 0.8 (assuming a skew on line with Madam Secretary and The Good Wife, which may not be the case)

    - The Simpsons: 1.6-1.7
    - B99: 1.7-1.8
    - The Last Man on Earth: 2.5-2.6 (assuming a skew on line with FOX Sunday comedies, which may not be the case)

    ReplyDelete
  130. I would say that even POI has its problems.

    ReplyDelete
  131. Yes but less. It often get a 1.7, pretty high for other shows standards.

    ReplyDelete
  132. Isn't that a bit low for the CBS line-up? Don't they usually go up from top 25?

    ReplyDelete
  133. As expected it flopped.

    ReplyDelete
  134. Ah sorry :P

But yes, the Wicked Witch is hard to top, I loved it so much. But I am very optimistic about this one. I loved the fall finale with the introduction of the QoD and everything I have heard about this arc has me extremely excited. Hopefully ratings translate too!

    ReplyDelete
  135. What shows DO you like aside from The Amazing Race? You're so negative about every show you talk about on here.

    ReplyDelete
  136. Surprised by Last Man on Earth, but I think it will drop big next week.

    ReplyDelete
  137. I'll offer you my full analysis on the episode after I watch it :)

    ReplyDelete
  138. On weekdays yes, usually, but not on Sundays. I too am finding this extremely low and I hope to be wrong. Probably I will be since this is downright catastrophic but this is what the numbers are telling me!

    ReplyDelete
  139. The SQ was featured to much. I would've enjoyed it more with only the Frozen trio and Rumple playing the evil guy in the back drop. I was really engaged into the story but the SQ being Emma's foster mom was to much for the show to handle. Not to talk that underwhelming resolution of her story.
I wasn't engaged into 4B too much but I missed the show and look forward to it telling this new story.

  140. S&L has an okay start, but it destined to be cancelled more than likely.

    ReplyDelete
  141. Reboots almost never have success.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Yeah, I just noticed your comment below that said the same. But you're right, they do look pretty low. Have never seen Madam Secretary get a 1.3 in top 25.

    ReplyDelete
  143. I agree completely about the SQ.
S4B's premiere was solid, but mostly setup, like most OUAT's premiere. We have to see where it goes

    ReplyDelete
  144. CBS 10 pm is just problematic. LA and POI do decent, Stalker did bad and Elementary is just ugly. Blue Bloods for a Friday does decent.

    ReplyDelete
  145. I would put Blue Bloods as great on Friday actually.

    ReplyDelete
  146. My guesses for the 3 series premiere ratings were totally wrong. Based on top 25 anyway I thought S&L would get ratings like LMOE, I thought Battle Creek would get S&L ratings and I thought LMOE would get Battle Creek ratings...I was so off :/

    ReplyDelete
  147. Based on the top 25 numbers I feel like I actually did okay in anticipating Secrets and Lies and Battle Creek (though BC is even worse than I thought it would be) but completely off the mark on LMOE, I didn't see that one coming.

    ReplyDelete
  148. Thanks god Madam Secretary has already been renewed or else this would be the time to really start to worry!

    ReplyDelete
  149. LMOE wasn't really received very well by people anyway from what I've seen, It will probably have a huge drop next week. I haven't watched any of them yet but I plan to. I probably won't stick with any of them though, S&L has the best chance.

    ReplyDelete
  150. I'm a bit worried with all the characters they have to deal with at the moment, but glad that the Charmings aka Snow will get more scenes and Belle interact a bit more with the other not Rumple characters.

    ReplyDelete
  151. I disagree. Those that I've seen seem to have really enjoyed it. But those things are always subjective and our samples are never properly representative anyway, so I don't think it matters what our perception is.

    ReplyDelete
  152. I think OUAT is a show that works best with a lot of characters to be honest. I know a lot of people disagree with this but I think the universe on the show is so big that it doesn't make it justice when it seems that everything is always about the same 5 or 6 people and it feels forced when they make those people be part of all the stories they want to tell. I think more characters enhance the scope of the show and elevate the stakes. Also, there is only so much flashbacks you can make about the same people. But I know this isn't a very popular opinion, so to each his own.

    ReplyDelete
  153. I completely agree with you on that, I don't even have anything to add, you expressed it exactly how I would have.

    ReplyDelete
  154. Considering how badly it ended for Resurrection, I'd say not being one can also be seen as a good thing eheh ;)

  155. Matthew Zamora2 March 2015 at 15:43

    Hoped higher for once :(

    ReplyDelete
  156. The good news is that apparently, it will be just a self-contained miniseries that could morph into an anthology if renewed.

    ReplyDelete
  157. They should pull it now and just air it in the summer

    ReplyDelete
  158. Farewell Parks and Rec2 March 2015 at 15:44

    LMOE surprised me. Great numbers.

Average for S%L. It won't last. Battle Creek is DOA

    ReplyDelete
  159. as long it does above a 2 that is still great

    ReplyDelete
  160. Patrick Ausgewahlt2 March 2015 at 15:47

Last night's episode was great in my book, but I liked the supposedly awful Peter Pan arc, so what do I know?

    ReplyDelete
  161. HTGAWMRevengeOUAT2 March 2015 at 15:49

That is a bit low for abc and wow at LMOE. LOL at battle creek

    ReplyDelete
  162. I've been saying for months that they would have been better of airing it in the summer on Sundays. It would at least have stood a chance. I know it didn't help Reckless much but at least it would have a shot. Here it was always doomed.

    ReplyDelete
  163. Matthew Zamora2 March 2015 at 15:50

True... Even if it consistently does high 1s like Agents it'll be fine... just sucks when it was above 3.0s at beginning of season

    ReplyDelete
  164. NCIS: LA is not doing that poorly.

    ReplyDelete
  165. Patrick Ausgewahlt2 March 2015 at 15:50

Because FOX has a massive Wildcard game in January that boosts the whole lineup massively. Also, they are the opposite of serialized. The animated shows don't even follow the same continuity for in the same episode some times!

    ReplyDelete
  166. I think all will be cancelled though.

    ReplyDelete
  167. Patrick Ausgewahlt2 March 2015 at 15:53

I'd argue that Fridays at 8 is a worse slot, especially since Battle Creek should get on time start times, unlike previous occupant CSI

    ReplyDelete
  168. What else do the nets have to premiere (new shows)?
    ABC- American Crime
NBC- AD, Odyssey & Comedies (that look DOA)
    FOX- ?
    CBS- CSI Cyber

    ReplyDelete
  169. There are a lot of shows with similar premises to S&Ls, which is why it didn't premiere too well.

    ReplyDelete
  170. In addition to what you've mentioned:
ABC: Agents of Shield midseason premiere, In an Instant, Dancing with the Stars

NBC: Nothing else announced but I think there is a strong possibility they make one of the summer things come back earlier given the amount of flops currently on schedule
FOX: The Following, Hell's Kitchen, Bones midseason premiere, Weird Loners
    CBS: Nothing that I remember

    ReplyDelete
  171. Farewell Parks and Rec2 March 2015 at 15:57

LMOE can sneak in unless Fox favors Bordertown for Sunday nights.

If it stays above 1.5 it's getting renewed.

    ReplyDelete
  172. ABC has Beyond the Tank, most likely for summer but it could be once Fresh Off the Boat/Repeat After Me or Last Man Standing/Crstela wrap up so long as they go straight through and end in April.

FOX has Bordertown which they strangely didn't premiere this year, so I'm assuming they are just waiting for next season.

    ReplyDelete
  173. The Whispers on ABC.

    ReplyDelete
  174. I think it is better than self starting from the good wife against all the cable stuff on Sundays at the lower viewed 10pm hour. But I will agree that those two are up for debate, though for me this one is clearly worse.

    ReplyDelete
  175. I'm looking forward to American Crime, which is odd since it's not my usual type of show, the trailer just really got me interested.

    ReplyDelete
  176. Other than those two January weeks, they should be on hiatus though. Makes no sense to air episodes in February at all.

    ReplyDelete
  177. Farewell Parks and Rec2 March 2015 at 15:59

Other than the ones mentioned, CBS has miniseries The Dovekeepers.

    ReplyDelete
  178. This number gives it a lot of leeway, but it still needs to overachieve in coming weeks considering there is no natural place to put it. It needs to do really well to convince FOX to open up an hour midweek for it since I am pretty convinced that Bordertown will come here in the fall one way or the other. But if the numbers hold anywhere near this they would certainly be happy to do so.

    ReplyDelete
  179. ABC - American Crime, The Astronaut Wives Club and The Whisphers
CW - I Zombie and The Messengers
CBS - CSI Cyber and Zoo
FOX - Bordertown and Weird Loners
NBC - A.D, Aquarius, Mr Robinson, Odyssey and One Big Happy,

    ReplyDelete
  180. It's allegedly for summer hence why I didn't include it.

    ReplyDelete
  181. It can sneak in, but I think it will have a big drop next week.

    ReplyDelete
  182. Astronaut Wives Club, The Whispers and Zoo are supposed to be summer shows.

    ReplyDelete
  183. HTGAWMRevengeOUAT2 March 2015 at 16:01

Revenge was promoted, I heard :)

    ReplyDelete
  184. I know, I was just listing the remaining new shows that will premiere this year.

    ReplyDelete
  185. Ah fair enough. Then there is also Wayward Pines and Heroes Reborn

    ReplyDelete
  186. FOX:Wayward Pines

    ReplyDelete
  187. I knew I forgot something!

    ReplyDelete
  188. I think ABC will make Beyond the Tank anchor a weeknight on the summer schedule possibly paired with the whispers.
