  1. I hope iZombie won't adjust down

My absolute favorite CW shows often do, last year Reign adjusted down almost every time and this year The 100 was adjusting down even more often

  2. And here we go again :( 0.8

  3. Oh, crap. Why, iZombie? Why? Glad that Flash adjusted up and AoS at least stayed steady.

  4. iZombie.... :(

  5. Predicted CW adjustments, iZombie will probably stablise at 0.5-0.6 and be renewed and fall more next season.

  6. Flash went up great for it. Good it didn't hit a new low.
Tough for iZombie, but honestly it seems like a show that can find a loyal fanbase but will probably need some time to find it.
Those next couple of weeks will be crucial I believe renewal decisions will be made by April 20 or so, announced later of course.

  7. I don't think leading out from Flash and hitting 0,5-0,6 will ensure them a renewal.

    ReplyDelete
  8. If The Flash doesn't start falling, i think iZombie will stabilize around 0.7

I still think renewal is very possible, but the question is whether the ratings will be good enough for full season or whether it will be kept as summer show

  9. Even with Reign, The 100, TO & JTV renewed with similar numbers? The CW must realise by now none of their shows work as effective lead-ins. They could move it next season anyway.

  10. Nooo iZombie adjusted down a tenth :/ It still did pretty decent but here's hoping that it doesn't drop too much in the next couple of weeks. I'm already starting to get attached to it! Thank god The Flash adjusted up to match its series low. I would have liked to see it get higher ratings especially after last night's mind boggling episode but oh well. And SHIELD is up a tenth from last week so I'm happy.

  11. "Flash's lead in is being wasted on Supernatural"
(CW puts iZombie there and its premier gets the same rating as SPN's last 3 episodes)

Yay flash :) the episode was excellent

  13. I mean there are a lot of factors going into this that we don't know, costs, advertising and stuff.
I mean CW obviously loves the show and lays big hopes into it, so renewal is probably insight but think they aren't happy with this.
I'm probably just a bit bitchy cause it got a better treatment than TM.

  14. Yes, but they really need to have some new shows hit. SPN has held its ratings when moved and I'm sure they are hoping it will continue to do so. The Flash give iZombie the best chance of gaining traction, while giving Wednesday a chance to improve at 9:00.

  15. TO and JtV air on monday nights, less expectations due to the terrible timeslot

Meanwhile Reign and 100 has no excuses there

  16. Honestly when it comes down to it, having seen both, The CW made the right call in which horse they backed. The Messengers is not going to be a wide appeal show, it's not as paint-by-the-numbers enjoyable as iZombie. I think a lot of people watching the pilot may drop it out of frustration alone.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I think a lot of people are thinking that the ratings Arrow, SPN & The Flash get are the norm for The CW but these days it's more around 0.6 is the norm, the other 3 are exceptions. It's perfectly understandable though given that TVD & TO were getting much higher ratings not too long ago as well.

  18. Glad Flash adjusted up. Happy for Undateable :) and MAOS is up from last week :) I am happy with these ratings!

  19. Tbh I'm bitter over it too. The Messengers is the one I'm looking forward too. But TM is also a much more niche show, similar to The 100. I think The CW realised that and put it on Fridays since The 100 is a niche show too and has a very loyal audience, they're probably hoping TM will accomplish the same and they can pair it with The 100 on Fridays next season. That's my theory anyway and given The CW started heavy-ish promotion early for TM I just believe it even more.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Didn't watch the pilot so I can't judge(jealous btw). But think TM could be a Dark Horse just got a positive feeling about it.
But we'll see soon how both shows will progress.

    ReplyDelete
  21. iZombie should have at least hit 1.0. That's not promising at all.

    ReplyDelete
  22. It could be! We recently got 1-4, so once I watch 2-4, I can really get a feel for sure, but based on the pilots alone, iZombie has the more turn-your-brain-off accessibility.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Well, I have watched the first 4 episodes, and tho it is a religiousy, I liked "superpower in normal people" show, so I am going to stick with it. It very different from all other CW shows.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I really hope so. I just wanted TM to have a fair chance but with the amount of hits and timeslots CW has they made a tough decision.
Those promos also gave me hope that CW won't give up on the show. It is either summer or Fridays with 100.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I haven't watched 2-4 yet. But like I said below, I do think iZombie is the easier one to kind of just jump in and out of, thus the post flash spot. I enjoyed The Messengers, I'm just not sure how well it will do given the concept.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Thanks for the small tease. I just hope they turn on the promotion even more and the show will get a fair chance.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Why less expectations on Monday? U stated this a couple of times but didn't get why.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Yes but SPN is going to do the same ratings wherever it is on the schedule, iZombie would likely not have even done what it did without The Flash's bigger lead in. You give iZombie a 1.3 lead in and it does a 0.8 if you give it a 0.5 lead in do you think it would have got anywhere near the sampling it did?

Besides iZombie probably only needs to stay at around T100 levels for its run to be renewed for a season 2 run. They will likely try to use The Flash as a lead in for an new show in the Fall again, so SPN was never going to keep its slot anyway. This isnt a conspiracy against SPN or anything, its just plain common sense. CW would have been labelled idiots for not using their biggest lead in to get a new show the best possibly sampling it can get. Truthfully if the CW had another brain cell to go with the only one they have they would have premiered The Messengers behind Arrow instead on Friday.

  29. I guess I'm happy the Flash adjusted up but it deserved more than that. Much more.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Yeah coz the CW are well known for being huge retentionsitas?! Another shortened season with say 0.5/0.6 ratings they can slot in anywhere on the schedule in the fall or in the spring to plug the huge gaps in they have in the 35 week calendar? Makes sense to renew to me.

    ReplyDelete
  31. hey the same Rating that SPN get its ok.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I know CW shows aren't masters of retention but still think they didn't expect this kind of openinig ratings. Down the way yes but not for the pilot.
If the show gathers solid viewership and keeps it even without Flash. But renewal will depend on their pilot season.
Why give that slot to iZombie when it could put there a more prospective show.

    ReplyDelete
  33. So glad Flash hit a 1.3. This was the best episode till date. Damn It iZombie 0.8??? Why? You deserve more.

Not bad for PLL,I expect to go up next week with it being the finale & A receal

    ReplyDelete
  35. Just watched iZombie and I was quiet surprised. I will give it a try but still not as good as Arrow, Flash and The 100.
