Arrow / The Flash - Spinoff casts Hawkgirl

30 Mar 2015

It has been a fast rise for young actress Ciara Renée, who graduated from Baldwin Wallace University with a degree in music theater in May 2013. Since then, she made her Broadway debut in Big Fish and replaced Patina Miller as Leading Player in the revival of Pippin. Last fall, she made her TV debut with a guest shot on NBC’s Law & Order: SVU. And now, she has landed a lead in CW’s proposed Arrow/Flash spinoff series, playing the role of Kendra Saunders aka Hawkgirl.

The superhero team-up show, from Arrow creators Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Marc Guggenheim, was to bring in three new DC superhero characters never seen on TV, along with a slew of Arrow/Flash recurring fan favorites. Hawkgirl is not expected to be one of them as the character has appeared in a Season 9 episode of the WB/CW drama Smallville, played by Sahar Biniaz, as well as in a couple of animated series, including Justice League. In the new series, Kendra Saunders is a young woman who is just beginning to learn that she has been repeatedly reincarnated over the centuries. When provoked, her ancient warrior persona manifests itself, along with wings that grow out of her back, earning her the moniker…Hawkgirl.

The spin off needs a name ASAP.

    ReplyDelete
  4. And so it begins !!!

    ReplyDelete
  5. Why are opposed again? Ray? Or something else?

    ReplyDelete
  6. I don't like anything i've heard about it so far, (except for this), and i don't like BR. So, no, i will not be watching.

  8. Maybe she'll go out with diggle. Wink wink ;)

    ReplyDelete
  9. I do/will ! ;-)

But I doubt this will premiere till next year around this time. To lead into CW's big summer of 2016.

    Woohoo!
Between this and the announcement of a live action Mulan movie, today is a very good day!

    ReplyDelete
  12. I don't either. It's kind of a WTF comment.

    ReplyDelete
  13. what??? They're doing a live action Mulan??? seriously???

  15. what?! Mulan live-action? it's not Jamie Chung by any chance right? LOL because she's Mulan on OUAT. Does it bother you that it's a new reincarnation rather than an old one?

    ReplyDelete
  16. Christopher DeBono30 March 2015 at 23:06

I assume it's a reference to the rumors/theories of Diggle being John Stewart. Some adaptions (the DCAU in particular) have pushed Green Lantern/Hawkgirl.

I think this new reincarnation could be fun. The Egyptian origin is a lot more fun then her other origins.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Yesss. Hawkgirl is so cool and she's one of my favorite from the Justice League cartoon. She's badass and I can't wait to see her!

    ReplyDelete
  20. SQUEEEE!!!!!!!! = D

    ReplyDelete
  21. oh cool then, Egypt IS pretty cool LOL

    ReplyDelete
  22. It'll be hard to pull off those wings on a TV budget but The Flash has been doing good with Firestorm (Ronnie) and Gorilla Grod so I think it'll work out

    ReplyDelete
  23. Thanks. And we'll still be here. lol

    ReplyDelete
  24. Hawkgirl? That's.....really interesting. Definatly not expected.

    ReplyDelete
  25. yeah especially since they're ACTUAL wings not part of a suit, but years that wouldn't have been possible but NOW i don't doubt it

    ReplyDelete
  26. really? i saw it coming

    ReplyDelete
  27. WHAT?! but it's Hawkman and Hawkgirl, they love each other and died together, what's with DC?!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Maybe they'll do something like Dominion's doing, that's good enough.

    ReplyDelete
  29. They're really adding the mystical components. First Lazarus Pit and now reincarnation...

    ReplyDelete
  30. STV, the place to be ! heheheheh

    ReplyDelete
  31. I'm waiting for Batman

    ReplyDelete
  32. Christopher DeBono30 March 2015 at 23:19

The DCAU didn't use Hawkgirls Egyptian origins which meant she didn't love and then die with Hawkman.

    ReplyDelete
  33. All I want to know is whats going on with Caity Lotz, Im so afraid they'll waste her talent if she doesn't reprise her role as Sara and also It'd be kind of insulting to put her in another role.

    ReplyDelete
  34. definitely, no doubt about it, and come on Caity Lotz in the Flarrow universe as anyone else BUT Sara is insane

    ReplyDelete
  35. aw damn and that doesn't bother fans of them? i know i HATE it

    ReplyDelete
  36. Yes, If she had been like a minor character in one episode I'd be fine with it but she is an important part of Arrow.

    ReplyDelete
  37. yep they finally embraced that this is a comic book universe

    ReplyDelete
  38. The major problem with bringing back Sara is it kinda "Bobby in the Shower's" (will probably have to explain that reference) the whole of season 3 of Arrow.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Christopher DeBono30 March 2015 at 23:26

A theory I've seen around the place is that she probably will be Sara and will be 'resurrected' through time travel.

'The Traveler' pulls her from a bit before her death into the future so she can fight off whatever menace they're facing. But then to keep the timestream intact he'll have to return her to die eventually.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Yeah I was referencing the dcau lol. Lots of hawkgirl and john stewart shippers.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Interesting theory, would add a considerably layer of angst and explain why she can't interact with anyone of her old friends and family..

    ReplyDelete
  42. If done right it wouldnt undo everything that's happened in season 3, she could be brought back without Oliver, Laurel or her father knowing. What you said is what I instantly thought, the only reason Lauren became the Canary is because Sara died and she being back would kind of take that away but I think they can make it right.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Hawkgirl!! So this show will have mystical elements. Still cannot see how these characters work together. I don't understand how they can pull off Sara. If they make CL another character in the same universe I will be pissed.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I only know hawkgirl from The dcau show, dont even know who hawkguy is lol.

    ReplyDelete
  45. That would be really sad, saving her to end up dying the same way she did, I wouldnt like that.

    ReplyDelete
  46. So she will have to be ressurected in The Flash if time travel does not affect Arrow. That will be another WTF moment as The Flash has nothing to do with Sara. I do not think there will be any effect of time travel on Arrow. It will be too confusing for Arrow only fans.

    ReplyDelete
  47. That would be cold!!! Her destined to eventually die. Uhhhh heartbreaking. Don't know bringing back Caity is a big mess.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Hawkman's not even in that universe?!!!!!! okay what the HELL?!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  49. Christopher DeBono30 March 2015 at 23:33

One of the characters in the show (The Traveler, probably Rip Hunter) is meant to be a time traveler. So he could go and grab her in the first episode of the show rather then it happening in The Flash or Arrow.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Victoria Llanos30 March 2015 at 23:34

If it's an AU maybe she never became the Canary, but something else... Otherwise I'm at a loss of how she could ever be anything else, but they'll spell it out for us, wethere we find it believable it or not, that's a different story.

    ReplyDelete
  51. They are pulling out all the stops. LP, time travelers and now reincarnation and wings.

    ReplyDelete
  52. you don't like it?

    ReplyDelete
  53. But one of the EPs I think Greg Berlanti said we will know about what CL will be playing and how they are going to do it by spring which is around now. So either they will give a press release or they will ressurect her on Arrow or The Flash.

    ReplyDelete
  54. There are other actresses who can do action well. Why do this? I love Caity Lotz. They should never have killed her. They should have put Sara in a coma.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Her destiny was always to pass her mantel on to Laurel anyway. I kinda like it, but I generally love the dark, angsty morally grey stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  56. I'm not very familiar with hawkgirl to get excited.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Yep, I read it as well in one of those spoiler articles I believe or was it an interview clip? Think it was on Tvline or EW.

    ReplyDelete
  58. This is basically the Justice League class B.

    ReplyDelete
  59. It is not an AU. This show happens real time in the same universe as FlArrow. That is confirmed.

    ReplyDelete
  60. So ... since Hawkgirl's normally associated wih Justice League, Birds of Prey, Black Lantern Corps, Justice Society of America, and All-Star Squadron .... do you think we may be one step closer to discovering the spin-offs title as well as plot ?

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Justice_League

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Birds_of_Prey_(comics)

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Lantern_Corps

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Justice_Society_of_America

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/All-Star_Squadron

    ReplyDelete
  61. But that means no Thea/Malcolm/Laurel/Quentin/the Arrow angst!!

    ReplyDelete
  62. I thought she would get paralyzed and be freed of the LoA, give up her mantel and still be part of the universe in some capacity. But that was before she died now I have no freaking clue.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Christopher DeBono30 March 2015 at 23:39

    Mmmm.

Perhaps she'll be seen but her resurrection wont actually be shown? eg in the season final we see Oliver standing on a rooftop but on another nearby rooftop we see Sara and 'someone else' (the traveler) just standing there watching.

    ReplyDelete
  64. I understand why they killed what I dont understand is their need to torture us with the whole casting issue, because thats making us all think that Sara is going to be resurrected and if that doesn't happen lots of people will be disapointed, I miss Sara but its kind of insulting the whole issue.

    ReplyDelete
  65. If they loved Caity Lotz that much they should have been innovative and passed the mantel without killing Sara. It could have been done. Not every hero need death as a trigger to fight crime. Laurel already had enough tragedy.

    ReplyDelete
  66. They should've never introduced Sara as Canary. They signed her death sentence that very moment. She could've played any other DC character.

But the writers didn't expect her becoming a fan favorite at this moment.

But we'll have to wait and see what that corpse introduced in the Arrow trailer is all about.

    ReplyDelete
  67. OH no. Then all summer we will be speculating to death how Sara is alive? Is this our Sara or Sara from another universe? Is she a clone? Is she a humanoid robot? Did she get LP'd or was it an imposter who died? Someone tell me!!! *wails*

    ReplyDelete
  68. Christopher DeBono30 March 2015 at 23:43

    ;)

I think it works perfectly as a stinger to encourage discussion and speculation though.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Wasn't the corpse in the Flash trailer?

    ReplyDelete
  70. Not sure, but Joe was showing it to Lance for some reason. I assume it is Sara related. Or maybe a completely different plot point.
Who the freaking spin off knows! ??? This made me anxious now.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Imagine Koky..Just imagine. I am tired already.

    ReplyDelete
  72. I even think the show will be a midseason entry. Imagine speculating 1 whole year. #Brutal

    ReplyDelete
  73. Wait what corpse? What trailer? They showed Quentin and Joe together? When? How did I miss this?

    ReplyDelete
  74. I think that was the corpse of Simon Stagg on The Flash. It was definitely on The Flash sizzle reel.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Its the Flash sizzle reel from Paley fest.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Christopher DeBono30 March 2015 at 23:47

Or what if she is...the Martian Manhunter or another shapeshifter. Just taking Sara's form!

    Dun dun dun.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Who is Simon Stagg again? Sounds Familiar?

    ReplyDelete
  78. How did I miss a Quentin and Joe shot????

    ReplyDelete
  79. Evil buisness man Multiplex tried to kill in 2nd Flash episode, Wells killed him.

    ReplyDelete
  80. The man Wells killed in the multiplex episode.

  81. Victoria Llanos30 March 2015 at 23:48

Damn, that's what I get for not keeping up with spoiler regularly! I had hope! I'll probably be skipping this one altogether, but I really have no idea how they plan on making this work in a way that's not offensive to the fans...

    ReplyDelete
  82. I think first half of next season of both Arrow, Flash and maybe supergirl will get cameo appearances from all these characters. Ray will definitely guest for one episode on Arrow. Captain Cold, Heatwave and Martin Stein will guest on The Flash. So we will get tid bit of news through out the first half.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Ohh yes! He was even mentioned in the recent Flash ep.
Why would he show Lance the corpse!???

    ReplyDelete
  84. NO! I'm not imaging anything, I already have a headache.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Really! You had to add shape shifter. I raise you a vampire theory.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Too many characters, can't wait to see how they pull this off!

    ReplyDelete
  87. With them already doing casting those characters are bound to appear in the Arrow or Flash finale or both!
I imagined the show to be introduced as a crossover event next season.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Christopher DeBono30 March 2015 at 23:50

Not to worry. DC has vampires who can ressurect people covered:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I%E2%80%A6Vampire

    ReplyDelete
  89. I raise you a witch and dobbpplegangger.

    ReplyDelete
  90. NO ONE SHOWS THIS TO JULIE PLEC! Wouldn't end well!

    ReplyDelete
  91. I will watch it like the sucker that I am. I am hoping for a limited episode single event series like Heroes and Agent Carter instead of villain of the week format.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Christopher DeBono30 March 2015 at 23:53

totally tweeting this to Julie Plec now.

    ReplyDelete
  93. That would be glorious to see all or some of these characters along with Arrow and Flash in a crossover episode.

    ReplyDelete
  94. I have no idea!!! My head hurts.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Would've worked the best and if the show gets solid reviews order it to series for midseason/summer.
But seems like Gugenheim and co won't listen to Us! ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  96. How about a werewolf and a ghost.

    ReplyDelete
  97. and I raise you Black Lantern Corps 'Zombies' !!!

    ReplyDelete
  98. Seriously. I didn't know that.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Justice League is big nono, that's movieverse. Birds of Prey is generally a very specific trio of ladies. Black Lantern Corps was for Blackest Night and would require building the whole Green Lantern mythos first Justice Society probably or possibly some kind of version of The Outsiders

    ReplyDelete
  100. And just to raise the awkwardness I'm just listening on repeat Katy Perry- The one that got away. ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  101. no i meant everything the Pit time travel and reincarnation and Hawkgirl's pretty awesome

    ReplyDelete
  102. Yep. Has a very Justice League International or Justice Society feel to it.

    ReplyDelete
  103. We are a phoenix and an owl away from writing the eighth HP book haha

    ReplyDelete
  104. Hahahahah! This news broke me! I should've went to sleep hours ago.

    ReplyDelete
  105. there's villains in the main cast LOL so it's a full villain-of the-week format

    ReplyDelete
  106. Are you even surprised at this point?

    ReplyDelete
  107. Victoria Llanos30 March 2015 at 23:58

That I would love and I would watch, one single arc with a beginning and an end. But, unfortunately, it's not very CW, I really don't see them using that format...

    ReplyDelete
  108. Well my next is Asmodel - angelic inter dimensional being from conceptual heaven. Whatever that means. I just lifted it from DC wiki

    ReplyDelete
  109. If JK Rowling would scratch that epilogue and write an eighth book I would die from happiness.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Christopher DeBono31 March 2015 at 00:00

    mmm
Witch reminds me of how much I want a Zatanna show.

...and how much I want them to not go ahead with that planned movie reboot of Sabrina The Teenage Witch where she is re-imagined as a superhero.

    ReplyDelete
  111. I was thinking the rogues and our heroes has to team up to prevent a huge apocalyptic event kind of thing. I know it won't happen. But i can dream.

    ReplyDelete
  112. Christopher DeBono31 March 2015 at 00:02

I'm still surprised we never got a comic spin-off.

Marvel struck gold when Disney acquired Lucasfilms and had one of the best selling comics of our generation.

WB has Harry Potter sitting there waiting to get a comic spin-off that could easily break 1 million sales.

    ReplyDelete
  113. In the comics Birds of Prey Members include

Barbara Gordon, Black Canary, Huntress, Catwoman, Lady Blackhawk, Big Barda, Jade Canary, Gypsy, Hawkgirl, Judomaster, Manhunter (Kate Spencer), Misfit, Hawk, Dove, Starling, Katana, Poison Ivy, Strix(Mary), and Condor

    ReplyDelete
  114. oh awesome dream how AWESOME would that be!

    ReplyDelete
  115. I am so annoyed by WB lately. Don't give me ammo to bash them. They have the best properties in the world in their hands. They don't know how to manage them.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Victoria Llanos31 March 2015 at 00:04

That's what fanfiction is for ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  117. I want a Zatanna show too.

I didn't know about that movie reboot? That idea sounds horrible!

    ReplyDelete
  118. DC won't give Zatanna. From the tone of MG they have asked for the character.

Sabrina a super hero? she is the fluffy, cutesy witch with no angst whatsoever.

    ReplyDelete
  119. Christopher DeBono31 March 2015 at 00:08

Sony was developing it before the hacking fiasco. It hasn't been mentioned since but I assume its still on the backburner.

Apparently they want an edgier reboot similar to 'Snow White And The Huntsmen'.

    ReplyDelete
  120. A good romance fan fiction is easy to find. But a good action plot fanfic is next to impossible. Well guess I will be dreaming for some time.

    ReplyDelete
  121. Yeah, but the first three are the "core". Lady Blackhawk and Big Barda added later, Manhunter was a replacement for Black Canary when she left to raise Sin. Lady Shiva/Jade Canary was for one specific storyline. Misfit was also story related. Hawk & Dowe was for the short revival between Blackest Night and the launch of the New 52

And the others are members of the New 52 incarnation.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Christopher DeBono31 March 2015 at 00:10

Yeah. I wish we could get Zatanna :(
I'd love for her to be the 3rd in the trio joining Arrow and Flash.

The planned reboot was meant to be a dark and edgy origin story featuring Sabrina coming to terms with her powers. Salem was also meant to be her love interest as a prince who was cursed and transformed into a cat.

    ReplyDelete
  123. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lady_Shiva

Maybe in this 'world' she'll end up being The Jade Canary ... other wise known as Lady Shiva.

or there is always The White Canary.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twelve_Brothers_in_Silk#White_Canary

    ReplyDelete
  124. no no villain Sara

    ReplyDelete
  125. OK that's messed up! I hate this. They're ruining the character, smh.

    ReplyDelete
  126. Lady Shiva only used the name "Jade Canary" for one specific storyline, And Sara is nowhere near Lady Shiva's level of skill.

White Canary was a one-note villain.

    ReplyDelete
  127. Victoria Llanos31 March 2015 at 00:19

Really, is there such a thing as decent romance fanfiction? it all seems smut or completely OOC to me this days. In my preteen/teen years I remember reading some great drama/romance Roswell and OTH fanfics, but nowadays it seems good amateur writers don't devote themselves to fanfiction anymore. Although I did read a good X-Men fanfic series spawned by First Class, that was centered on Charles and Moira, but had a really great mithology created by the writer, going AU she pretty much created her own little universe and did it pretty well from a non comic reader POV. Not Arrow though... I stir clear of Arrow fanfiction because most I've found seems written by 6th graders, so I don't even bother checking anymore :-(

    ReplyDelete
  128. True but we have to remember the spin-off is possibly set in a whole new/other 'fabric of time' and space ( where is Ms. Hawking when you need her ? ) not to mention them saying that three new DC characters never seen on TV before will be apart of this show.

    ReplyDelete
  129. The "three never seen before" gets odd with Hawkgirl since she was on Smallville.

    ReplyDelete
  130. Christopher DeBono31 March 2015 at 00:23

I believe it fits Hawkgirl on a technicality. We never saw her suit up on Smallville. But we saw her unmasked in flashbacks, along with her mask shown in present day.

    ReplyDelete
  131. Where is I confirmed ?
I was under the impression crossovers would happen via the Time Traveller from the spin-off and The Flash bringing whoever to each shows Universe when needed.

    ReplyDelete
  132. Hawkman is in the animated universe, but he got added alot later. Once the show becale Justice Leage Unlimited I think.

    ReplyDelete
  133. The young lady cast is a stage actress so I know nothing about her. Although, from the photos I've seen from a quick search, I can definitely say she seems to have a Hawkgirl physique.

Anyway, I think they're putting this series together through some sort of random DC character generator. At this point, I expect them to round out the cast with Lobo, Ambush Bug, and Rainbow Raider.

    ReplyDelete
  134. Ah, thank you. Yes they can loophole that if we never saw her in action/costume on Smallville (didn't watch the show that long myself)

    ReplyDelete
  135. *sigh* How true, the quality of fan fiction these days is just not up to what it used to be.

    ReplyDelete
  136. Zatanna would work best together with Constantine.

    ReplyDelete
  137. Victoria Llanos31 March 2015 at 00:33

Right! so it's not just that I have high standards, the fanfiction scene has really gone downfall. There was this author I always recall, Ashton Mackenzie, she used to write Roswell fanfiction, I was 11 or 12, and MY GOD!!!, her stories rivaled a good novel any day! What happened to that?!

    ReplyDelete
  138. I think the fan fiction writers actually started to get published (a.ka 50 shades of Grey)...

    ReplyDelete
  139. I'm betting the finale 'scene' of "Arrow" or "The Flash" ends with Oliver or/and The flash standing beside a very much 'alive' Sara Lance ... as well as a cameo by Hawgirl and the other two new shows team members.

    ReplyDelete
  140. Christopher DeBono31 March 2015 at 00:37

Don't forget that One Direction fanfic that got published ('After') and is now getting a film adaption.

    ReplyDelete
  141. Ugh, I did not need to know that. Another little piece of my faith in humanity gone forever.

    ReplyDelete
  142. I'm being it will all be announced at the CW Upfronts on May 14th or it will all become clear from The Flash finale on May 19th.

    ReplyDelete
  143. Greg Berlanti said it in an interview during. It was in TV Line or EW. I will find the link for you tomorrow. Now got to sleep.

    ReplyDelete
  144. Well, if one of the never showcased heroes is Hawkgirl, then i'm back at saying that the other two are Static and Booster Gold.

    ReplyDelete
  145. Christopher DeBono31 March 2015 at 00:43

    :)

The Mortal Instruments (aka Shadowhunters) also technically came from fanfiction. It started as Harry Potter fanfiction (The Draco Trilogy) before it was re-edited and re-released as The Mortal Instruments.

    ReplyDelete
  146. Victoria Llanos31 March 2015 at 00:44

Actually the fact that that thing was published as literature shows that the reason there aren't any decent fanfic writers is because there are too few decent writers left. I mean, I tried REALLY HARD to get through that pathetic excuse of fiction and I couldn't... And english is not my first language! that says it all! how badly written does it have to be for me to find it horribly written?! Pathetic...

    ReplyDelete
  147. Christopher DeBono31 March 2015 at 00:44

Hawkgirl technically still fits because of a technicality.
Shayera Hall was seen in flashbacks in Smallville but we never saw her suit up. Her mask was seen in the background in a few scenes but technically 'Hawkgirl' didn't appear.

    ReplyDelete
  148. There's definatly a trend here

    ReplyDelete
  149. Victoria Llanos31 March 2015 at 00:46

I think you've just squashed any hope in humanity I had left... A One Direction fanfic into a movie... please tell me the world is coming to an end? What will our children read if things like this are considered literatura?

    Oh it gets even better.

I read the book and uh...the plot...do you want to know? Because what scares me more is what the relationship in the book represents more then anything (it's worse then 50 Shades). And the fact that teenage girls are finding it a great romance story and all that.

  151. Now that you've teased it you HAVE to tell. Just let me pour a stiff drink first to cushion the pain.

  152. hawkgirl=wonder women of Flarrow? She should be the big three along with The Flash and Green Arrow

    Long story short.

The main girl (Tessa) moves to college. She's the typical quiet girl who hasn't had a boyfriend but ends up getting involved with Harry Styles and the others (Renamed Hayden and other weird names in the published version).

After many ups and downs (mostly Hayden bullying Tessa) it's revealed that the entire romance was a sham. Hayden's friends bet that he couldn't take Tessa's first time. After they did the deed, he saved the sheets and showed everyone in front of her. End of book 1...

Now check out some of the comments from when the film adaption was announced:

I'm not sure I want to know... When the first Twillight book came out I was still a teenager and I found Bella's dependence of Edward sickening, and the fact that my friends considered it an epic love story was... terryfying to say the least... What did it say about teenage girls if they thought a relationship like that wasn't only normal, but something to aspire to... When I found out that that pathetic excuse of a novel (50 shades) had started as Twillight fanfiction I wasn't surprised in the least, of course Edwards obsession and Bella's dependence had spawned something so horrible, but I have trouble imagining something worst.

    Mmhmmm.

After I read the first book I was stunned. Here I'm thinking "it can't be right can it?". I literally have no urge to read the next book because of how terrible the bullying was. And what scares me most is that teen girls are looking up to relationships like that and thinking they're perfect.

OH MY GOD! That's... That's... There are no words to decribe the horror I'm feelling right now...
And THAT is being made into a movie? WTH is wrong with this people? Why aren't mother asociations everywhere asking for every copý of that monstruosity to be burned?!

I don't know why they're not but they should be. It's a 4 book series and I can't imagine how much worse it could get after reading the first.

I think all those groups are too busy focusing on 50 Shades Of Grey that others (which are much worse) are slipping under the radar.

Now ha we have “THE TRAVELER” and “FEMALE WARRIOR” cast I guess the “MYSTERY HERO” is next !

  161. i REALLY hope it's not that idiot Static Shock

    ReplyDelete
  162. yeah we mostly just heard about her, it's actually surprising they ARE using her even if it's another reincarnation

    ReplyDelete
  163. Well they did but altered it to make her and John the lovers.

    ReplyDelete
  164. there's an author i love that has all those in spades FringeDivision2008

    ReplyDelete
  165. I'm assuming Rip Hunter is the character they talked bout bringing to tv?

    ReplyDelete
  166. huh okay, still when i think of Hawkgirl i think of Hawkman, they're a package deal

    ReplyDelete
  167. I'm so happy about the embracing of magic. Arrow's the grounded non-powered area of DC. Flash is meta human and speedsters. And this show is like some beautiful tech, power, training and magic combination.

    ReplyDelete
  168. Not happening. We might get Nightwing though.

    ReplyDelete
  169. yeah, now there's the "mystery hero" left and all three never before seen on TV heroes are chosen

    ReplyDelete
  170. the show Titans though, even if it crosses over

    ReplyDelete
  171. Apparently Del Toro wants to do Justice League Dark which would include Zatanna. I just want Constantine in this universe.

    ReplyDelete
  172. To the DC vault! Manhunter little help here lol.

does that means animation as well?

    ReplyDelete
  173. LOL although Manhunter was pretty prominently feautured in Smallville, you mean Vixen?

    ReplyDelete
  174. Yeah, the animated universe really took a couple of hard left turns with certain characters. If I remember correctly John Stewart and Hawkgirl had a son together.

    ReplyDelete
  175. Dont forget alien hawkgirl is not human

    ReplyDelete
  176. she got her own digital series doesnt count lol.

i need his help to get me into the vault lol.

    ReplyDelete
  177. So I wonder how long until we get a Justice League special, with Oliver presumably leading.

    ReplyDelete
  178. Dude that's a different continuity. It'll be the usual. But how I love the DCAU.

    ReplyDelete
  179. True. Which means aliens! If only we could get Kryptonians, or a certain Green Martian...

    ReplyDelete
  180. Christopher DeBono31 March 2015 at 02:17

It's generally assumed that it doesn't include animation, just live action. Otherwise the DCAU and Batman: The Brave and the Bold pretty much covered anyone worthwhile.

    ReplyDelete
  181. I really, really doubt the writers would pull a Coulson.

    ReplyDelete
  182. Yeah because it'll probably be cancelled. So it'd be a cool change up to get a snarky, more selfish hero.

    ReplyDelete
  183. Eh coma's not really the push or conflict causation that death is.

    ReplyDelete
  184. He's the corrupt CEO in 1x02 who is killed by Eobard. Also he created Metamorpho in the comics.

    ReplyDelete
  185. True, but it is one of the better more human explanations. That and I like Laurel a lot more this year (I should be more specific I like her this year) so I'm cool. Plus I really don't see any alternative. Either Sara dies inspiring Laurel, or continues to lose her humanity with the league/ somehow frees herself and tries "redeeming" herself by working with Palmer and the other heroes. That would work, but I don't think it would have stirred as much Laurel like it did with her death.
