  1. R.I.P. Diggle ( or Lyla ) !

Dig's is getting a happy ending so it could be his time to go. :(
No o menion he and Oliver jus official

If NOT R.I.P Felicity or Quentin.

    ReplyDelete
  2. Panicked, sifted through spoilers, and am mostly calm that the people I care most about are safe. Still worried about Quentin, though.

    ReplyDelete
  3. NO NO NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  4. Could be Felicity (😭)....

    ReplyDelete
  5. Someone will die but they will bring them back by the pit and in exchange Oliver will become Ra's.

    ReplyDelete
  6. If it is a death Diggle, Lyla or Roy are my suspicions.
Could see Sara getting resurrected and Oliver leave for LoA aka I'm hoping this happens cause I couldn't bare another death in the family.

    ReplyDelete
  7. It's not Felicity or Dig unless they bring them back by the pit. Their fans are complaining that they were mistreated this season and Marc said more than once that they are definitely in season 4 and they will have big stories. If they kill one of them people will riot.

  8. arrowshieldfan3 March 2015 at 08:13

It will likely be Maseo but it has no connection to any other character between Oliver

    ReplyDelete
  9. They can't kill him! He's the last parent on the show! STOP KILLING MY FAVOURITE CHARACTERS :/

    ReplyDelete
  10. Please don't kill Quentin, Diggle or Lyla. Infact stop with killing all the characters.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Tell that to Buffy's mom Joyce .. or even Angel.
I promise you it's either Diggle or Felicity.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Kaalyn Johnson3 March 2015 at 08:20

Huh? Joyce wasn't even a recurring character when she died. How does that equate to this?

    ReplyDelete
  13. But even when Buffy's mom died they still had Giles.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Kaalyn Johnson3 March 2015 at 08:22

If they were bringing them back, this wouldn't be an emotional goodbye for the cast.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Why didn't you say "kill off Diggle" over and over? Happy now?

    ReplyDelete
  16. By Colton twitt...i guess is Roy

    ReplyDelete
  17. Oh shit that's only 4 episodes away! All these major deaths every season :( My poor heart can't take this much pain and heartache. Just please don't let it be Quentin. PLEASE.

    ReplyDelete
  18. The only character I would be okay with dying is Merlyn. I refuse to face anyone else dying.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Don't worry too much. I'm not saying that I have spoilers that might prove he's dying. I'm saying that process of elimination has mostly removed all the other characters I'm most worried about (except maybe Lyla, now that I think about it), so now the person I most worried about is the person I like most that I can't find a reason to eliminate from the running, which is Quentin. And now Lyla, who I didn't consider before.

Plus, Diggle and Lyla are parents now, so there you go.

    ReplyDelete
  20. They have to film the goodbye scene anyway. And it has to be emotional because they don't know if it'll work. For all they know someone they love died. And they have to destroy us so we would be surprised when they use the pit.

    ReplyDelete
  21. When Diggle / Felicity dies the team gets the Dark Archer / Thea and Laurel.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Wishful thinking..... What if Laurel is leaving tow? :D

    ReplyDelete
  23. im kinda hopeing its laurel

    ReplyDelete
  24. Those can replace Felicity or Dig???? Are you kidding!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Since Stephen and Colton tweeted it's NOT either of them dying.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I did .. didn't I? This would teach me if it happens. If they are letting Diggle go I hope they let him go away and not kill him.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Why couldn't it be Roy? It was emotional and hard for him to leave?

    ReplyDelete
  28. But killing the mother of Dig's baby!! Right after they hot married! There's drama and there's being plain cruel. As for Quentin they need at least one senior cast member who isn't a mass murderer psychopath.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Diggle's odds just worsned then.

    ReplyDelete
  30. If they killed off Diggle I will never forgive you :(

    ReplyDelete
  31. Not to go all super sarcasm on you, but you realize that it would be Roy dying, not Colton. He's not dead and tweeting from beyond the grave. There's no reason that his hardest day at work could be one of his last days at work.

    ReplyDelete
  32. My only hope now is H.I.V.E. They have lot to explore there. I hope they will give Diggle his due and give DR a chance be the center of this storyline in season 4.

    ReplyDelete
  33. They can't but that doesn't mean the show won't try.
Sadly Felicity has to be out of the picture ( Death / with Ray ) so Oliver / Arrow and Laurel / The Black Canary or Sadly Diggle has to die to shake things up and force Oliver to bring Malcolm into the group.

    ReplyDelete
  34. *SPOILER*

I read this on tumblr. MG apparently said to some one during a con recently that the last four episodes of this season's Arrow will not have the Arrow cave. So looks like at last some one is going to blow up the cave or the location becomes public knowledge.

    ReplyDelete
  35. This makes me think it's Lyla or Roy. But who knows with this show.

    ReplyDelete
  36. or it means like Stephen he is losing a close friend on set ... like his partner in crime and close friend Emily Bett Rickards or his on set buddy David Ramsey.

    ReplyDelete
  37. That would be the stupidest thing they could do. And after those last few episodes that is really saying something.

    ReplyDelete
  38. If they kill off Lyla Diggle will become depressed. Then how can Diggle represent what Oliver can look forward to be after 5 years? If it is Diggle leaving the show then I hope they give him a happy exit with Lyla. More and more I think about it I have the feeling it is going to be Roy who bites the dust.

    ReplyDelete
  39. WOW! Seems like it's true they will shock us more and more this season.! Bring it on.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I'm not saying it can't be that, I'm just saying that Colton tweeting about it is no reason to eliminate him.

I honestly can't tell if you really think it's them, or if you're just poking the angry fans. Not an accusation, just wondering why you are so 100% sure it's them/so determined to convince everyone else it's them.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Sadly shows do stupid things.

Likely they need to shake things up for season four and like it or not that means killing ( raising the stakes ) off one of the teams valuable members NOT Quentin, Lyla, or one of the Yamashiro's.

    ReplyDelete
  42. MY first thought is Diggle will leave or die...
I wondered if him asking Ollie to be his best man was the first death bell, but these comments add some merit to that theory.

    - The comments make me think it is concerning a regular on the show, not a sporadic guest star. More so it feels like the comments refer to an original or longtime cast member leaving....
    - It feels like Felicity is the only character to fill a unique niche (tech ops) so she should be safe.
    - Roy is the perfect supporting character who doesn't need much screen time to remain part of the team and he fits into multiple characters arcs quite nicely so I would guess he is safe.
    - Laurel is Laurel (le sigh) and is the producers favorite monkey wrench of choice to add drama and chaos. She has a nice potential arc for future seasons so she could be safe.
    - Thea is finally in on Star City's worst kept secret and looks to be becoming a full hero with mask and all! Would they fit Thea for a mask only to kill her off within an episode or two?
    - Diggle has been underused this last season and seems out of place now that the Arrow has a new sidekick in the field. Add 2 more potential fledgling heroines into the already crowded field ops area and Diggle seems expendable as an operator.
    - Merlyn or rather Barrowman seems like he would be a lot of fun on the set and could be missed if he was killed off, but the producers seem to love him. Would they kill off Arrow's arch-nemesis?

I don't think Lila's death would reach the emotional level of the cast tweets. Diggle seems like the most likely candidate, but damn!

    ReplyDelete
  43. You forgot Quentin.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I really believe it.
I love Felicity and Diggle and them as part of team Arrow .
I would be totally devastated to see them go ... but I can honestly see it happening.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Christopher DeBono3 March 2015 at 08:48

I get the feeling it'll be Diggle, but he wont die. He'll probably retire from the team to be with his daughter.

Then they can bring him back for an occasional arc/Suicide Squad episodes.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I have no problem if they send him away on a new path from the show and bring him back for important arcs as a recurring character in season 4. This will be far far better than what this character is getting in season 2 and 3.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Ack! True.
It feels like they have been setting him up to die for a good while now and he certain fits all the criteria needed for an emotional goodbye doesn't he?

If your spoiler above about the AHQ being gone, I'm not sure Quentin fits into that specific scenario though. I guess the two do not necessarily need to be related though do they?

    ReplyDelete
  48. Your analysis is pretty sound. Diggle or Quentin are indeed the expandable one's. Katie Cassidy does not seem to have been filming tonight though, would they kill Quentin without her?

    ReplyDelete
  49. I hope they don't kill Quentin. It doesn't makes sense for another Lance family member to die this season. Honestly I don't want to see Laurel dealing with another death anytime soon. I couldn't stand the last two outings when Tommy and Sara died. No thank you.

I hope no one dies and who ever is saying good bye will be written off from the show by letting them go away alive. By doing that we can get these characters as guest stars in next season be it Roy, Diggle or Quentin.

    ReplyDelete
  50. well well things seem to get interesting ,my money is on "diggle".his char is the most under used in season 3

    ReplyDelete
  51. What if it isn't a death at all but either Felicity or Diggle leave Starling City ( and Arrow ) to be apart of ( the cast ) of "The Atom/Firestorm" / "Suicide Squad" spin-off.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I don't think they would kill off Laurel, but if they did I would think keeping Quentin alive would make sense to me. I do not see them erasing the Lance line altogether in one season.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Christopher DeBono3 March 2015 at 08:58

I feel like Quentin is probably safe. He's been played up as Oliver's version of James Gordon. One supports the other.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Too early in development on that new spin-off, it's not slated until midseason 2015/2016

    ReplyDelete
  55. i can totally see felicity move out of this city. but not diggle.

    ReplyDelete
  56. I really hope it's Roy coz the actor playing the character is really bad.My bet-Quentin/Diggle.

    ReplyDelete
  57. i hear the plan is go straight to series .

    ReplyDelete
  58. Agreed. Plus, f they were leaving for that show, it would be when Ray leaves, which isn't until the end of season. No reason to bug out five episodes early.

    ReplyDelete
  59. You misunderstood me, I didn't suggest Laurel dying. I suggested that they wouldn't kill of Quentin without her.

    ReplyDelete
  60. ah i suddenly got one. what if its "laurel" ???

    ReplyDelete
  61. Here again, hahaha...I remember sombody talking about last time Arrow using the actual costume or something like that...i'm sleepy ...don't hear me hahahaha

    ReplyDelete
  62. Okay. I can't tell you for sure that you're wrong, but I think you probably are, at least in Felicity's case. I don't think it's Diggle either, but I'm less sure about him. Still, knowing what I do, I'd be fairly surprised if it was either of them. Based on current knowledge, my bets go in order of Quentin, Roy, and Lyla.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Don't even know how I feel about him leaving. This will be ahuge hit for TA.

    ReplyDelete
  64. True but the show still needs to wrap things up and then in season four go in it's new direction minus Felicity or Diggle.
( if they left in 3x19 that would mean the final four episodes of the season would be without them and after the 4 and a half month break the firs 10 / 12 episodes of Arrow would be without one of them before he spin-off began )

    ReplyDelete
  65. TNT of course.. But if any of the cast is going away why would they do it in episode 20 when the city and Team Arrow is still in chaos? Wouldn't they stay back for the final battle and then leave. Oh no! Now I convinced myself again it is a death.

    ReplyDelete
  66. They could use the electro meta to fake Diggle's death so he and Lyla can run off into the sunset. I would dig that.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Nonono, It's just that for dramatic purposes Laurel needs to be present if they're killing Quentin of. So they can reconcile/he can forgive her before he dies.

    ReplyDelete
  68. What is 'it' that you know ?

    ReplyDelete
  69. How spoiled do you want to be?

    ReplyDelete
  70. Aaah Okay, got you.
I think that is the mostly case as well. Laurel missed Sarah's first death and real death the second time around... I think if she loses her dad they will put her in the room this time. I would like to think so at least.

    ReplyDelete
  71. HA! XD
So easy to think one thing and then something opposite when basing theories on such small details!

    ReplyDelete
  72. I can see any of the characters Felicity, Diggle or Roy saying good bye and leaving the team at the season finale end but them leaving at episode 20 when Palmer will be there in season finale does not make sense unless it is Diggle who leaves to take up an ARGUS job to hunt down H.I.V.E. But even that look far fetched to think he would leave when Oliver and TA needs all the help they can get against LoA.

    ReplyDelete
  73. TNT (so still in the Time Warner family). Not NBC. And if Titans is picked up and established as being in the Arrow/Flash verse then I could see Roy moving over perhaps

    ReplyDelete
  74. They always say that the premiere is a guideline of what will happen in the season. Roy almost died because of a bomb so maybe this time he wasn't so lucky and he will be in the foundry when it explodes and his death will make Thea put on the mask.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Hmm a bit confused then.
So do you mean that you think if they kill Quentin they would kill Laurel as well?

    ReplyDelete
  76. freakin FINALLY
OMG i was having a bad omen when malcolm comes to the arow cave so easily.

    ReplyDelete
  77. so did u predict right?

    ReplyDelete
  78. May be it is Oliver saying good bye to everyone as he is leaving to Nanda Parbat to join LoA.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Unbelievable what 2 tweets and 1 fb post did to us. Those next episodes will make us go crazy. 15 days till Arrow returns!

    ReplyDelete
  80. arrowshieldfan3 March 2015 at 09:44

Obiously the goal is to finish the season with a bang with crazy stuff happening as Marc have said

    ReplyDelete
  81. arrowshieldfan3 March 2015 at 09:47

I don't think joining a criminal organization like the LOA would have a emotional response......

    ReplyDelete
  82. I was going to say the same thing. If Oliver is leaving to become the next Ra's, the team would be angry not emotional.

    ReplyDelete
  83. arrowshieldfan3 March 2015 at 09:50

I don;t think Roy will be killed. he just started his hero journey and I sure Marc has plan for him for future season so emotional could mean anything......and 3.19 is not until April........so we have to guess

    ReplyDelete
  84. More importantly, even if Ollie leaves town to join the LOA you know he will be back at some point. It would be a temporary goodbye at worst and in all likelihood he would still be around the set since he is the center of the series.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Stephen said that they were saying goodbye to someone. Doesn't necessarily mean death. But if someone is leaving Starling then it has to be someone big for them to be this emotional. But that doesn't make sense why would an important character leave in episode 19?

    ReplyDelete
  86. Just don't kill Diggle, Felicity, and Quentin show.
If they have to kill someone, I wouldn't mind to see Roy getting killed or Lyla.. maybe they'll kill Nyssa?

    ReplyDelete
  87. Ugh this is giving me a head ache. Truth is I don't want anyone to die but I don't see anyone leaving the show as early as episode 19. Maybe it is Malcolm dying to protect Thea. I don't even want him to die.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Cool. For everyone else, (MILD) SPOILERS AHEAD.

    .

    .

    .

Okay. So some Olicity fan was asking if Oliver and Felicity had major scenes coming up. MG said that they have some exceptionally major scenes coming up in episode twenty - he just mentioned them having scenes in episode nineteen, but said "don't get me started" on the hugeness of the episode twenty scenes. They're currently shooting episode nineteen, which the major death/departure/whatever it is occurs in. It seems unlikely they're going to have a bunch of important scenes together the next episode if she's dead or off the show. Stephen and Colton certainly wouldn't be saying goodbye to EBR this episode if she's around for the next one.

As for Diggle, mostly it's because of the HIVE stuff and the timing of it - they're killing him off two episodes after his wedding and four episodes before the finale? Not impossible, again, but not super likely. Also, I remember something about them having plans for him and possibly the HIVE thing in the last three or four episodes, but I don't remember exactly what it said or where I found it, so I can't look it up again. This is why I'm more worried about Diggle - lack of tangible proof, and my crap memory, so if you want to still think it's him, I don't have anything to point to for sure to disprove you. Still, MG said both Diggle and Felicity have stuff in the fourth season, and they have the HIVE stuff and Felicity's dad stuff to get through. I see where the reasoning for thinking Diggle's dead comes in, but I don't think they're ready to play that card yet. Really wish I could figure out where I read that thing about the last couple episodes, though.

As far as Quentin goes, it's both the witch hunt for the Arrow he's on and the fact that shows like Arrow love to kill parents of people as a symbolic, growing up thing - look at how they killed off both of Oliver's parents, when he needed a push to becoming a better version of himself. I suspect Laurel might be on that path. Also, I haven't heard anything about where Quentin might be headed beyond his current path, so that's got me wondering. I know where Felicity, Diggle, Thea and Laurel are generally supposed to be headed, but not Quentin. There might be a reason for that.

As for Roy, same as that last reason for Quentin, and he lifts out easiest from the overcrowded Team Arrow. And Lyla, because I think that it would give Diggle more motivation for his possible upcoming arc, and Lyla's not in the main cast and easier to write off. That's all just possible story stuff, though.

Like I said, I can't promise you anything, and it might not be the concrete proof that'll sway you. But it seems less than certain to me at this point that those two are dying. Especially Felicity.

Job offer like roy joining Teen titan exile from starling hiding from the league

    ReplyDelete
  90. arrowshieldfan3 March 2015 at 10:13

Stephen would never give away major plot point so it could be a troll poststill could be true but i sure it will be worth it
I dont quentin dies as this is flash crossover it would be horrible to kill him when we want more joe west and quentin moment as father and cops

    ReplyDelete
  91. But like ODA said if Ray is staying until the finale then it's ridiculous to make a regular leave this early.

    ReplyDelete
  92. WAIT A SECOND! Quentin isn't even in Starling in 3x19. He's in Central City! SO IT'S NOT QUENTIN!!!!!! YESSS!

    ReplyDelete
  93. It looks more and more like Roy is the one who is going to die or go away. Maybe with Quentin arresting Roy in Arrow costume in episode 18 he has to leave Starling City.

    ReplyDelete
  94. So they introduced Andy in episode 14 and made a big deal about the upcoming HIVE story this season and next season just to kill Diggle in episode 19?

    ReplyDelete
  95. Make him the devoted father who died to protect his daughter?! No thank you! He doesn't deserve a hero's death.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Maybe they killed Malcolm Merlyn, So John Barrowman won't be in the show. everyone loves John Barrowman specially Stephen so he's sad about it.

    ReplyDelete
  97. IIRC I also remember reading about H.I.V.E. thread coming up towards the end of the season. Can't remember which interview it was. But that could well be dealt in ep.17 with Suicide Squad mission having ties to H.I.V.E.

    ReplyDelete
  98. It's possible I guess. But Oliver needs a Dark Mirror/Nemesis.

    ReplyDelete
  99. It's not Felicity. They know people love her so if they wanted her off Arrow (which I don't see happening) they wouldn't kill her. They love her character too much. I can see them making her go to The Flash or go with Palmer in his spin off. Since Ray is not leaving before the finale then it's not her. As for Diggle his fans are so angry about how mistreated he's been this season and the producers promised he will have bigger stories next season so killing him would be insane. They will have an angry mob on their hands. Not to mention that it would be insulting. We don't know what to do with him so instead of giving him a decent story and getting rid of useless characters like Ray, let's kill him and take away Sara's father, Lyla's Husband, Oliver and Felicity's brother and Roy and Laurel's friend.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Have you seen the question where someone asked if the scene between Oliver and Felicity was good or bad and Marc said that it was extremely good and extremely bad? I'm thinking they kill her but bring her back with the pit and the actors are tweeting this stuff to be

    ReplyDelete
  101. This is true, but I could swear they said something about later in the season, like in the back four running up to the finale. But I could be wrong. Really wish I could remember where I found it, it's going to drive me crazy until we find out who dies/get confirmation that Digg is in episode twenty somehow. I do think that unless they wrap it up in one episode - that they also have a wedding in - I'd be really surprised if they brought it up, not resolve it, and then kill Diggle. If HIVE isn't wrapped up, Diggle is probably safe, or at leaving to pursue HIVE - but not dying. That's my guess anyway. And again, MG said big stories for Digg and Felicity in season four. It's not that he can't be lying about it, or abruptly changed his mind in the last, what, week or two, it's just weird info to volunteer that information if he didn't plan on keeping them around. Just not saying anything, or saying something along the lines of"you'll have to wait and see" would've worked just fine.

I really need someone to take some on set pictures in the next week. This needs to be clear sooner rather than later.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Could be. But he was just starting his journey.

    ReplyDelete
  103. I remember reading something like that too. That there will be more HIVE later in the season and we will see Andy again.

    ReplyDelete
  104. I think Slade Wilson is his Nemesis. he knows the weak points of Oliver and one day he will come back, again.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Yeah, but it would make more sense to do that after she died, not before. Like episode nineteen comes, dead Felicity, they tweet how hard it was saying goodbye to EBR, and then BAM. She's back next episode. I mean, when Oliver died, Amell waited until after to tweet about how he was leaving the show. It just seems like weird timing, and really preemptive.

Doesn't mean you're wrong; after Jim Beaver's "I'm on a movie set" stunt, I'm willing to buy it. I wouldn't mind Felicity getting Lazarus Pit'd, necessarily. Could be interesting. But I think the more likely explanation is we're either getting another 3x12 type scene, or, and this is my bet, one of them is trying to comfort the other over the death/departure. It's good for Olicity fans because they're being there for each other (and it did specify their friendship, so this makes sense), and maybe even finally getting over their season-long drama in wake of whatever happens, but it's bad because they've - presumably - lost someone they care about. Unless it's Malcolm that dies/leaves; then I'm just confused.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Neither killing Kol nor killing Mikael were stupid things. Kol had no plot on TVD and is the most expendable Michaelson. Mikael was a villain and had to die-ish. Plus, everyone can get resurrected in that universe at any time.

Getting rid of Daniel Sharmen's loveliness *may* be considered stupid, but frankly he was always doomed in his very mortality.

Killing either of the two fan favorites to bring in a character who has ruined the entire season IS a stupid move. And they aren't *that* dumb.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Wasn't the crossover the other way, Joe and Cisco going to Starling?

    ReplyDelete
  108. Are you familiar with a writer's expression called "kill your darlings"? Sometimes you have to loose a character because the plot demands it, no matter how much you or the fans love it. Not saying that I think it's Felicity, just saying that loving a character is sometimes not protection enough,

    ReplyDelete
  109. Are you familiar with another common word among writers: unemployment? You have to be willing to do whatever the plot demands, but in TV you have to sell a product that means keeping an audience for longer than it takes to read a novel, for years in fact. That means you can kill your darlings, but you can't kill your audience's.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Please be Roy. It solves so many problems and he has been awfully antagonistic recently. And if we can blame the LOA, then that would make them fully evil and worthy of all the villain propping up they've been needing. He's played his part, there isn't anywhere for him to go (except challenging Oliver for control and I AM NOT interested in seeing that), and he's redundant.

    ReplyDelete
  111. The next episode Quentin goes to central city.

    ReplyDelete
  112. Hey, it's not just me! I swear, between every interview, tweet, Facebook post and the stuff on Tumblr, I cannot keep crap straight. If people hadn't posted that MG tweet about Olicity all over, I'd be doubting myself on that too.

Since as you pointed out, Quentin's not in this episode, Roy seems most likely, right? I don't know, I hate Haynes and Amell, they're evil and why did they do this and now my eye is twitching. Seriously. It's literally twitching. This is ridiculous. If it were last season, I'd have a lot more faith in the show, and that whatever it did, it would at least provide a good story, even if I lost one of my favorite characters. Now I don't feel that way after this season so far, and I'm not willing to sacrifice one of favorites for more wobbly plot lines.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Well, Felicity is an extremely popular character. And we all saw how upset people got when Sara a guest star with a time clock around her neck from the moment we met her was killed.

But really, I was just being snarky because you are using the phrase "kill your darlings" incorrectly. It means that you have to be willing to sacrifice your writing to fit the story, ie, even if a scene is the best scene you've ever written, you have to be willing to cut it if it doesn't fit with the story. A writer's darlings are his/her words, not characters.

  114. Huh, didn't know that. So, Arrow/Starling City is still owed a crossover then? Finale perhaps?

  115. She fits into every show they write: Arrow, The Flash, Superhero Spin Club. They'd send her to a new show before they'd kill, she too valuable to their character interactions.

  116. last season by this time we could predict how the show is going to go mostly. We knew Oliver was going to be given a sophie's choice by Slade and most of us predicted it between Moira and Thea. We predicted a cure for mirakuru and Isabel being in cahoots with Slade too by this time. This season everything is vague. What is Malcolm's role in the upcoming episodes? What is the use of Ray Palmer? Will LoA be the main villain now or Nyssa? So many questions...

  117. If threats on the internet about "I'll stop watching" equaled actual ratings perhaps.

  118. Pretty sure he stopped being Oliver's nemesis, when Oliver came back from almost dying due to him and immediately said let's be besties.

  119. For Stephen to tweet about it it has to be some 'important' ( someone from the beginning ) and not Lyla, Nyssa or the Yamashiro's.

So it' either Laurel, Diggle, Felicity, Roy, Thea, Malcolm, or Quentin

  120. And does a character not begin as a writer's words? Your definition is a little narrow, appropriate perhaps for novel writing where the term first orginated. How's this for a broader one "Never become so attached to a scene, a phrasing, or a character that you are not willing to remove it from your story." A character that everyone considers "safe" is exactly the one to hit if you want to suprise/shock the audience. But yes, killing your darlings is always a risk of course.

  121. Deal with the Devil. Oliver is pretty much repeating Roberts mistakes right now of making alliances with horrible people for noble reasons.

    ReplyDelete
  122. But he would be dead...

You send me a link for a web page with all Arrow air dates before. Can you give me that again?

  123. Shock shouldn't be the primary goal of a dramatic work.

And if you are going to use an idiom, you have to use it the same way everyone else does or it will be completely misinterpreted. It's a deprecation against extraneous or indulgent prose. I guess if that leads to a completely pompous character, okay?

  125. Paul shared a photo of sign that said "The Flash family welcomes Quentin Lance" or something like that.

Has anyone considered it might be Malcolm is the one that bites the dust !

    ReplyDelete
  127. Indeed. Very interesting. But isn't the Flash's production one episode ahead of Arrow? Okay, how's this for fuel for the fire then. Paul and Stephen are apparently doing a Q&A today, This the day after these mysterious tweets about an emotional goodbye :)

  128. Is 3x18 the one where Cisco and Joe visits Starling

    ReplyDelete
  129. As I understand yes.

    ReplyDelete
  130. So it will be 1x19 or 1x20 when Quentin visits Central City right

  131. They love her so much. She is one of their favourite characters and they enjoy writing for her.

    ReplyDelete
  132. No I think it's 3x19. In 3x18 he's busy arresting the Arrow.

    ReplyDelete
  133. I understand what is going on in the show. But one can't have it both ways: either Malcolm is a villain and, as you think, Oliver's nemesis or he is Thea's loving dad and on a redemption arc. They are trying to play both sides and it is a major fail. Malcolm has lost the spot as Oliver's long-term antagonist, as Oliver's accepted him as part of the family. The best you've got is a crazy uncle at this point.

  134. I don't know how this all works. Even if they are ahead of them in production, scheduling wise Arrow is an episode ahead. So the crossovers don't line up.
Imagine the questions they will get lol Just hope they answer some of them. (I'm refusing to believe that it's a farewell Q&A if you didn't catch that)

    ReplyDelete
  135. They did it with Tommy, Moira and Sara. Enough already! They are killing off the cast one by one. Plus they don't have to kill her, just ship her off to another show.

    ReplyDelete
  136. No it's not just you. There are many articles, social media posts, videos, Q&A's from episodes' screenings and panels from cons. It's impossible to keep track of the sources.

They are evil and mean, I hate them too :\ I bet they are laughing at us right now :\
Hahahahahaha oh you poor thing. AGREEEEEEE!
