  1. Interesting episode! A bunch of setting up it seems.

Ok so the bad robot stuff: Harper rose is like two lost characters put together African American woman with a ring and someone with acute pyschological insight, which plays in nicely with whatever the series may do with Isis. And of course undercover with alias galore is like Alias and Undercovers...

So I had this theory a few episodes back where I thought maybe the series might end with all of the irrelevant numbers the team has saved, become very relavent to the survival of the human race...now with this new app gimmic and with samaritan such a threat, I'm feeling more confident that's this could be an end game. Clearly Harper will be back too!

This episode also reminded me of a few others. Proteus with the multiple identity, which I have to say I think harpers story has to go beyond the club, and The Most Likely Too... With the collage and high school like stuff And is it me, or does it feel like Bates Motel keeps getting referenced???

Nice to get back into the brotherhood. I keep doing double takes with that little look alike evil Carter sidekick...can't wait for a showdown with Dom and Elias!

  2. Pretty entertaining Brotherhood based episode with some nice story progression. Dominic and John's face to face was fun and tense. I loved the scene with Floyd ( Dominic's right hand woman ) in treys dorm, she is bad-ass. My personal favorite was Roots scene with Harold in the cave... root fights on for the machine but she is still feeling the pain of her love inside... Some of us miss her too Root.

  3. Another really good episode. Liked that the Brotherhood was involved in the episode. Harper is an interesting character too.

  4. This was another fantastic episode. Loved the Bear scene and all the Fusco/John moments. Finch/John snarking was another highlight.

While this episode was more low key than previous episodes, it nudged the story forward. The actress who played Harper was great. She gave the character just enough oomph at moments but was easygoing at other times. I like that we will probably get to see her again.

Onto Dominic who I found to be a much better character this week. He definitely seemed more animated and less cold-blooded than in previous episodes. I especially found his and John's diner meeting to be intense.

Very nice return for Caleb. I like that even though The Machine has enlisted his company to help Team Machine, we still do not know if he's working for our side or Samaritan's side. I like that he will return in upcoming episodes. It would be nice to see him actually work for Team Machine. But then again, like Control/Claire beginning to have doubts about working for Samaritan, I could see him start to have doubts with Team Machine and then end up being anti Team Machine or working for Team Samaritan.

Wasn't Martine supposed to be in this episode? I did not see her at all.

  5. "Ok Detective Sunshine" - oh Fusco and his names :)

  6. Great episode. More standard than usual, but some nice ideas brought up about recruitment (which was the major theme tonight w/Brotherhood and Caleb and Root and Harper). Enjoyed it, and am looking forward to the rest of the season.

  7. The episode was good. I like it just being the three guys for a while. I did not like Harper and do not want her back.

  8. Well, this was good, but not spectacular. I expect more, but I think two scenes made this episode:

    - Dominic and Reese meeting, that's was great, dialogue and the tension was marvelous.
    - Root in the company of CALEB, that's was interesting and good surprise.

I like Harper, I hope the character comeback soon.

  9. I can't help myself, but I did not enjoy this episode that much. Root's storyline saved it for me.

  10. I sure missed the times where it was Finch and Reese. brings back memories,.. Good Times

  11. Trey seemed like the personification of the fandom, particularly in the rescue scene. Any of us would react that way. xD

  12. No Martine... interesting

  13. I knew that compression algorithm from season 2 was significant! But I still have no idea what it is going to be used for.
I am glad that The Machine is working on something. 6 people trying to save the world in obscurity seems ridiculous. FIGHT BACK MACHINE!! FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!!!

  14. This is a set up episode between Team Machine and the Brotherhood.

  15. Ok someone help me out here. That boss guy that Root met with near the end of the episode when she was pitching her app to whatever company that was, who was he? He looked familiar and the way the scene played out I felt like I was supposed to recognize him but I didn't. The guy that had his back turned to the camera for the first few seconds. Usually I'm pretty good about recalling people from past episodes. Can someone remind me who he is and where we first saw him? Thanks.

  16. I am currently watching the episode. This may sound dumb but can you explain to me how Dominic is profiteering by using video gamers. Is he buying the fake gold that gamers win on the Net with the money earned from the drug dispensaries? If so, then how does he convert this gold to real, white money?

  17. He was a person of interest in the past, when Finch was pretending to be a teacher and saved him from killing himself the day that he was in his dead brother's age. (do you remember the last scene in a train station?)

    Hope that helped

  18. I thought that this was a good episode. Only thing that I'm disappointed about, was there was no Martine.

  19. The thing is, if there's Martine, then there must be Greer as well. They're practically bookends.

  20. Yeah, but looking at the Press Release of the episode, she was supposed to be in it along with another character that didn't show up which was the Samaritan-elected governor from Prophets. So that kind of made me :(. Oh well, wouldn't be the first a press release say there was gonna be something, but in the end didn't show up.

  21. I rewatched that scene but they did not explain things very clearly.

Let's see here: the dispensary needs Dominic to safeguard the money. Dominic sees 'guys like Trey' "video gamers" who spend thousands on fake gold.

You might be right. He could be selling that gold to other gamers or he uses the money spent on the fake gold to funnel it through the drug dispensaries so that it is legal. How he came to getting the money through the fake gold is the question here.

  22. They had Dominic on kidnapping, so it was unrealistic to let him go just because his guns were permitted. The writers couldn't figure out any other way to let him go - like running away.
Once again John is described as the "guy in the suit". In New York? Really?
I'm tired of the knee shooting bit. If he can hit knees in motion then why couldn't he hit the blonde who took Shaw? Some weeks he beats tent guys and other weeks he can't beat one.
Fusco is the best character. He isn't a super hero, but he keeps plugging along, despite Whispering John's constant condescension. Pair him with Bear and you'd have a really great team.
It was nice to see Root killing some bad guys. No knees for that girl.

  23. This was the worst episode of POI. They made John look like a amateur and not enough Root.
Harper came off as a jerk, I liked the other gang gal better she seems like she could be funny and tough at the same time.

  24. I know-I love his nicknames! He is such a character!

  25. Whoa. Yeah I remember that episode and the train station scene. His hair was completely different in this episode. Plus we haven't seen him in a while. That was probably why I didn't recognize him. Thanks.
