  1. I have no words for what I just watched. That was one of the most stressful hours of television I've ever watched. I was so nervous, and I think I may have hyperventilated at some point. It reminded me of an old episode of ER when Carol was at a drug store robbery. Great television. I will probably.y have nightmares tonight.

Now, if you excuse me, I'm off to freeze to death. Record lows for Kentucky tonight!

  2. This episode was awesome! Loved all of the Linstead moments and the Burzek scene at the end (which was extremely sad). This was a very eventful episode. Every time they took out one person another one showed up. I was on the edge of my seat for most of the episode. Marina and Brian did a very good job. The taser re-certification scenes were hilarious. Erin offering to tase Jay was the best.

Chicago Fire used to be my favorite out of the two shows, but I think Chicago PD steps it up with every episode. Chicago Fire is just getting on my nerves with all of the Casey and Gabby drama.

  3. One of the best action drama television episode I have ever seen. It was never ending with the action and drama. Excellent acting by Marina and Brian!!!!

  4. I'm pretty sure my heart was in my throat the entire episode!! Marina and Brian. Wowza.

I couldn't even enjoy the Linstead scenes until after the episode when I could rewatch them because I was sooo focused on Burgess and Roman!! - And speaking of Linstead, how freaking adorable were they! Already talking about living together, whaaaa?! And the hand hold in the breakroom!! Swoon.

And the tasering!! I knew it would be hilarious and it was -

    Linsdsay: "S, P, A or G?"

    Everyone: "G"
    Halstead: "Don't you dare!"

Hahaha, I loved Lindsay's sly tongue between the teeth, that was the cutest ever! And then Halstead got payback (while he was holding a bag of ice to himself!).

And Voight - "I'll stick to tickling!" And he told Olinsky about him and Casey. Soo good to see that!

  5. That entire taser demonstration was hilarious.

  6. My follow up question to the taser demonstration is when do they get attack dog certified? Because that will be equally as hilarious.

  7. Beth, Lilly Lu and Emily you all said what I was thinking. Yes I had to go back and re watch it again to really grasp all that happened in a one hour show. Question, what were they smuggling and who exactly was behind it all? I could not follow who was behind it all. So when are they going to have an episode that featured Burgess suffering from PTSD? I have to watch the last scene with Burgess and Roman on the stairs, does anyone know what they were referring to and was Roman in his right mind?

Absolutely loved the episode, need the writers to do that again!!!

  8. The Burgess stuff was great, as she usually is. Although I wanted to smack her silly for running into the building instead of calling for backup. After a while, though, I was like, how many guys are coming into this building????
The Lindsay/Halstead flirting was cute in the beginning, but now it's getting old and I'm having to roll my eyes at the teenager aspect of it. I'd like to have seen her get tasered. It might have knocked the princess crown off of her head. "Oh, it was funny watching all my coworkers get it, but I don't need it." She's sinking fast, which is sad because I didn't feel one way or the other about her in the beginning of the show's run.

  9. Marina and Brian killed it in this episode, wow! I loved it and thought it was really balanced. I hope they never break up Ruzek and Burgess because they are the best couple on that show. He knew something was wrong and even though she pretty much saved herself and Sean it was nice that he had her back. The taser scenes were gold and I laughed so hard when Voight said he would stick to tickling perps to death. I also liked the brief scene of him acknowledging what he did to Casey was very wrong. Loved PD way more than fire this week.

  10. There were a few WTF are you doing moments but I loved this episode. I can't remember when a procedural show made me tear up but Burgess had me tearing up when she broke down. She really is a little badass.

  11. I think the Chinese were the buyers of the baby formula and something else. I remember Aubrey or one the thugs said it was gold overseas.

  12. I agree with you regarding Chicago PD becoming favorite... this cast and team is awesome together. This show is currently my favorite show on television... Gabby has ruined Chicago Fire for me

  13. Great episode... I have to say Kim did an excellent job & she got a ton of credit, but I have to give credit to Roman in this episode. He is one knowledgeable patrolman. Even injured he put fourth an effort and helped Kim with saving the young mans life. He took the beating for his partner and he made her feel better about diving head first into the situation when she should've called for back up!

Voight mentioning his feud with Casey had me a little excited to hear him talking about it. Yes Voight, Justin is your weakness...

Linstead moments was spectacular as always... the break room scene talking about Wisconsin & moving in put a huge smile on my face.

I can't believe dude was in the van the entire time and just got out the van when they were leaving. SMH... that's one of those leave it alone moments. I would have like to see how intelligence tracked down Burgess and Roman to that warehouse. An explanation would suffice but all in all the episode was AWESOME and intense. I'll wait for the review for more comments...

  14. If you rewatch the last scene with Ruzek and Burgess, he tells her that the asian dude with the van was the one banging on the door earlier but her heard a lady cop say over the radio say that the warehouse was full of uniforms. Than when he was leaving he didn't see anyone outside so he knew he got played and came back for the goods.

I agree with you I would have like to have seen the intelligence team trying to find them. I just wanted more because it was a well written episode. Would have been a great 2 part episode so they could have shown more. The acting was incredible!

FYI Derek Haas posted some pics of the actual script of this episode on his Twitter so that fans can see it on paper.

  15. Chicago PD had, in my opinion, one of its best episodes to date. In fact, I'd go so far to say that it's shaped up to be one of the best police procedurals on TV. Everything right now is working in Chicago PD's favor and the increased ratings are reflective of that. I can't wait to see what Chicago PD is going to do for their season finale as they are going to try to top this episode.

I also have to agree about Dawson. Honestly, Chicago Fire has to lessen her involvement in season 4. I keep reading how viewers are tired of it being about Dawson all the time and hopefully someone is keeping note of that. There are times where it seems like Dawson is everywhere and that's unusual for an ensemble cast.

  16. Chicago P.D. is one of the best cop show on T.V. I love the characters & stories. Makes my day.
Keep up the good work. I never miss your show.
