I do interviews and write articles for the site in addition to reviewing a number of shows, including Supernatural, Arrow, Agents of Shield, The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Forever, Defiance, Bitten, Glee, and a few others! Highlights of this past year include covering San Diego Comic Con as press and a set visit to Bitten. When I'm not writing about television shows, I'm often writing about entertainment and media law in my capacity as a legal scholar. I also work in theatre when the opportunity arises. I'm an avid runner and rider, currently training in dressage.
While john and Dominic's sitdown and joining calebs team are good canidates, two of my favorites were more of short ones.
ReplyDelete1: Roots scene in the cave with Harold... She marches on for the machine but the pain of her love is still there.
2: Floyd, Dominic right hand woman, in the dorm with Trey was dark and yet so bad-ass when she abducted him For Dominic. kind of an underrated part of the episode.
I definitely feel that while the Bear scene, John/Finch snarking scene, Fusco/John scenes were all highlights, my favorite scenes were the Dominic/John diner meeting and the return of Caleb. Dominic/John is a dynamic that has not been explored yet until now and this was a nice beginning for those two. The return of Caleb is very interesting short term and long. I am fascinated by how his character/company will either help or ruin Team Machine's chances. I like that his involvement in this AI battle is a mystery at this point and that his true intentions have not been revealed yet.

Other - Root and Finch exchange in the subway.
ReplyDeleteI voted for the Reese/Dominic meeting. It's exciting in itself, one of Dominic's most interesting scenes so far, and I love that Reese doesn't look up until Dominic starts talking. The conflict between those two reflects that between the Machine and Samaritan, especially with Reese unwilling to just trade one life for another. Representative of the episode's progression, I also love how the scene builds off the preceding one with Root.
ReplyDeleteThe exchange between Finch and Root is another great one. It has a subtle, fluctuating tension that's helped by the camera angle used when Root enters and leaves.
"Everything that happened. Is that her name now?" Awesome scene.
