  6. That is one badass poster! Should be interesting to see the confrontation between Tyrion and Khaleesi (and Drogon XD). I seriously can't wait for everyone to meet up with each other. It's been a long time coming. Hurry up, April 12th!

  7. What is this show like? I've been thinking about watching it. Does it have fantasy in it?

  8. I love GoT, but it's really up to what you like. It seriously has everything: fantasy, history, drama. However it's brutal with a lot of sex and blood. But still, I think it's genious :D

  9. It is a cross between Fantasy, Medieval period drama and Political Drama I guess...

It has elements of High Fantasy like dragons, giants, wights, and unknown monsters. It has magic like face shifting assassins and animal mind control...

The background of the series is a fictional world where 7 kingdoms on one continent are in turmoil. The various families all vying for power by different means. Some use military force, others money or intrigue. Then there is a looming and mysterious threat from the North of a more mystical origin....

The heart of the show is one particular family and their children, but the cast is huge. Hundreds of actors not dozens like most shows. The scale of production is EPIC. The show films in 5 or 6 countries and has the best sets and wardrobe on TV... It rivals in large scale movies! They go so far as to weave their own fabrics for clothing etc..

It truly is a one of a kind series.

  11. IT can be a bit difficult to follow at first with so many characters and the unique names of place and people, but HBO has a great Viewer's Guide that can help answer questions or remind you of names of people or places and connections between people etc...

  15. @DarqueMode gave a wonderful overview of the series. I would just like to add that although there are numeral fantasy elements already mentioned, the show is also in many ways strongly grounded in realism. The political intrigue and complex, detailed power struggles are truly outstanding.

  16. My favorite poster of the show is still season 4, with the three-eyed raven, but this is a close second.
