So much for TVBTN calling us "Nonsense" lol.

THE THIRD SEASON OF "Beauty And The Beast"

PREMIERES THURSDAY, MAY 21 ON THE CW

The CW Orders a Fourth Season of "Beauty And The Beast" for 2015-16

February 13, 2015 (Burbank, CA) — The third season of fan favorite drama Beauty And The Beast will begin its 13-episode run on Thursday, May 21 (8:00-9:00 pm ET) on The CW Network. In addition, The CW announced today that Beauty And The Beast has also been renewed a fourth season, which will air later the 2015-2016 season.

As season three begins, Cat (Kristin Kreuk) and Vincent (Jay Ryan) are able to focus on their love, finally free from Muirfield, manhunts and beasts. However, that love will be tested as new and more dangerous threats await. When they learn that innocent victims are being used to test the boundaries of the impossible, Cat and Vincent will uncover a deeper conspiracy, one which Vincent can fight only by turning to the beast he carries within. But unleashing the beast will risk Vincent’s life – along with his and Cat's love – as they struggle to build a normal life together.

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST is produced by CBS Television Studios in association with Take 5 Productions/Whizbang Films with executive producers Brad Kern (“Charmed”), Bill Haber (“Rizzoli & Isles,” “Thurgood”), Paul J. Witt (“A Better Life”) & Tony Thomas (“A Better Life”), Ron Koslow (“Moonlight”), Frank Siracusa (“The Yard”) and John Weber (“The Borgias”), with Sherri Cooper (“Brothers and Sisters”) & Jennifer Levin (“Without A Trace,” “Felicity”) as consultants.

Update: 13th February Another day, another update :) It appears that the original author of the initial article over at Playback is sticking to her story about the Season 4 Renewal. See the response below.

Update: 18:43 Hitower Music, James Guttridge and Sean Hosein, composers for the CW series Beauty and the Beast just posted this.

Update: 17:43 Catherine Ashton has now deleted her tweet about the renewal being for 13 Episodes.

https://twitter.com/DesigningAshton/status/565838789306621952

Update: 17:35 It also appears that BATB Costume Designer, Catherine Ashton has since deleted her original tweet confirming the Season 4 Renewal.

https://twitter.com/DesigningAshton/status/565884773785411584

So it seems they all jumped the gun a little quickly and CW are trying to limit the damage. We'll keep you updated as we get any more news/info, but like when we broke the news of The Flash renewal which everyone claimed was wrong, a few weeks later we got the official announcement.

Update: 17:00 It looks like the original site that posted the news has update their page as you can see from the screenshot below by removing the Season 4 Renewal news

Update: 13:00 Beauty and the Beast has been Officially Renewed according to BATB Costume Designer, Catherine Ashton, for what is believed to be a 13 Episode Season.

Earlier today an article appeared on Canadian trade website Playback.

This was followed by a Tweet from the same company below.

What is interesting here is that this above tweet was then Re-Tweeted by Jill Carter, one of the BATB directors giving it some increased credibility.

Austin Basis of BATB was then asked if he knew anything about it on twitter to which he responded he was not aware.

So either Playback are misinformed, or they jumped the gun on the announcement before even the cast/crew were informed.

  1. Oh god, cancel it already and give some other, better show opportunity!!

  2. I think legit. The company seems pretty legit. The article itself says it is a 13 ep renewal and confirmed as if Feb 10. Also one of the people in the writers room sent funny tweets to the cancel bear and he did that last year too prior to announcement. So I think it is true happy dance :)

    ReplyDelete
  3. Wow! I hope there is some hope for HoD as well.

    ReplyDelete
  4. I will give an arm and leg for this to be true!! God i hope it is. I just know what I would do without it!!!!!!!!!! We need more seasons. Things are heating up!

    ReplyDelete
  5. whaoo my god so happy ..i'am gonna throw a party if it's true !!!!

    ReplyDelete
  6. Yes. This needs to be true.

    ReplyDelete
  7. This show is like herpes. It just keeps coming back.

    ReplyDelete
  8. i love how people love to hate this show so much...often without even having watched it :) i am so happy if we did get renewed. we so deserve it and it is a great show :)

    ReplyDelete
  9. Hopefully only a 6 episode order... It is time for the CW to show its love to another series.

    ReplyDelete
  10. What!
    This can't be true!
    Just No!

    ReplyDelete
  11. I would have thought they would wait and see how it does in its summer slot before renewing but then again the CW works in mysterious ways.

    ReplyDelete
  12. I for one will be very happy if this is true because Beauty and the Beast is great show and it gives me great joy to watch it

Could the CW be renewing every single one of its shows this year? They've been hesitant to say that HoD is in its final season which I've constantly found weird.

iZombie and The Messengers haven't premiered yet so its hard to say with them. Since they apparently have plans for Summer next year, could they be renewing everything so they can fill programming slots year round?

    ReplyDelete
  16. i think its possible.
put all low rated shows to summer series and give them exposure.
if it works great then u can bring back to fall scheule considering spn is gonna come to an end .

    ReplyDelete
  17. i m not sure it is true.but if it is then this show has some "x factor" to be alive in this competitive tv business.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I knew his show wasn't dying anytime soon.
As long as it stays on in the summer and it's fans are happy ... it's all good.
I see Arrow, Jane the Virgin, Supernatural, The Flash, The Originals, The Vampire Diaries along with a few new shows premiering in Oct well Beauty and the Beast, Hart of Dixie, iZombie, Reign, The 100, he Messengers along with two new shows will become summer shows going forward.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Have you ever seriously watched it?

    ReplyDelete
  20. Yes, I saw whole first season and half of the second, then I had to stop because I didn´t like it anymore.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I don't think they'll put that many shows in summer. I'd take I'd take iZombie and The 100 out of there.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Honestly, this just makes me laugh my ass off. The response to this has been hilarious. I don't care about BATB one way or the other, so it getting renewed or canceled doesn't effect me at all. But the response to this possible renewal is gold.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Honestly that's the only reason this would be good news to me. This would have to be a sign that HOD is heading towards renewal. While BATB season 3 hasn't aired yet, I'm sure Dixie will still out rate it

    ReplyDelete
  24. Agree! This season of HoD feels so fresh and good. I just hope they get more stable rating wise.
And honestly I think it would pay of for cw. Get it to syndication and stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  25. renewed - confirmed by costumer designer running order of 13 episodes ! couldnt be happier :)

    ReplyDelete
  26. Do you have a link to that confirmation please?

    ReplyDelete
  27. I made it to the end of season 2 and the acting is laughable.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Wow, I can´t imagine watching it for so long :D

    So...
    Hart of Dixie please CW?

    ReplyDelete
  31. Damn this show is like a cockroach, enough already..

    ReplyDelete
  32. So.....One has been thinking that The Messengers is also defacto renewed too then? iZombie's already got a second season and The CW cancelling one show seems completely not worth it.

    ReplyDelete
  33. If they don't I want to watch the HOD fans go crazy at the Beasties.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I think they ll do,push some shows to summer and free 2 slots for 2 new dramas(probably Reign and The 100 are getting pushed)

    ReplyDelete
  35. I knew that CW would renew the show for syndication.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Christopher DeBono12 February 2015 at 13:11

I'm half thinking that The CW is going to renew everything this season.

Reign, HoD and 1-2 others will get pushed to summer to bolster that lineup and create openings for new Fall shows.

Reign, HoD and BATB will pretty much ride out to syndication in summer.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Oh, God! They better renew HoD after this, because it doesn't make any sense to renew their low rated show YET AGAIN!

    ReplyDelete
  38. I think CW will renew all shows.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Is this show seriously hurting you in any way or affecting your life in any way? Then just live and let live. There are a lot of ppl who get a lot of pleasure from this show and if it's renewal or cancellation affects your life then so sorry

    ReplyDelete
  40. How ridiculous, this show should of died long ago.

    ReplyDelete
  41. So this POS gets renewed while TTP got cancelled?! TTP, you were one year too early! COME BACK!

    ReplyDelete
  42. CBS does wonders here,so desperate to bring it to syndication

    ReplyDelete
  43. I wonder what will they do if it falls to 0.1 in late summer

    ReplyDelete
  44. It believe it wont had 0.3 s and 0.4s last summer

    ReplyDelete
  45. Yes yes yes renewed. Woohoo!!! Happy dance all over you buzzkillintons. Have several seats please. Victory is ours beasties! Ain't nothing these these downers can say that will stop our joy.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I knew Pedowitz would do this and at this point, I'm just laughing.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Everyone just stop with your negative comments. Season 3 of BatB has already been prepurchased by several countries even before it airs in N America. If it didn't make money it wouldn't get renewed. I hate it when ppl comment on shows they don't watch worse yet, when they hate. There's enough hate going around without you adding to it. Just stop with all this negativity. You don't see BatB fans putting other show down, then show some respect please

    ReplyDelete
  48. I'm not a downer, its just a crap show.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Posts like this are exactly why I don't like this fandom. I wouldn't care if the show was the CW's version of TWD. I wouldn't watch for this reason.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I just can't stop laughing. There is something wrong with me.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Christopher DeBono12 February 2015 at 13:20

Probably put it on Friday in summer.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Now it's confirmed and it's even better! LOL!

    ReplyDelete
  53. I don´t even know why I bother with answer, but you would be pissed too if some show with zero ratings was being renewed over and over again and because of that there were cancelled several shows you actually enjoyed.

    ReplyDelete
  54. That's what I'm saying. I don't care what kind of international sales they have.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Ones also digging CW's methods. Surely this could have been doen last month at the press conferences with the Pedowitz but they left it and brushed it under the carpet on some obscure press site.

    ReplyDelete
  56. They didn't want to be laughed off stage.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Great news! but are the seriously going to leave HOD out of all of these renewals? that would make me sad.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I don’t really watch BATB, but the responses I’ve seen to it being renewed are hilarious. Excitement from the BATB fans like you would expect, and complete and utter shock from everyone else! Like seeing bigfoot ride a unicorn into battle against the Loch Ness Monster. Some people will be like “This is the coolest freaking thing EVER” but most will be like “How is this even happening?”

    ReplyDelete
  59. You've surely seen the ratings, right?

    ReplyDelete
  60. This show has ratings?

    ReplyDelete
  61. How is this possible? Season 3 haven't aired yet.

    ReplyDelete
  62. I'll believe it when CW confirms it.

    ReplyDelete
  63. I See Dead People12 February 2015 at 13:28

    PHAHAHA, YES :)

    ReplyDelete
  64. I don't think it is a stretch to believe it though. It wasn't renewed for the ratings before so there is no reason to believe they would matter now.

    ReplyDelete
  65. I See Dead People12 February 2015 at 13:30

International success it has, despite everyone thinks...

    ReplyDelete
  66. It's not about not believing that it isn't renewed, but waiting for the official confirmation.

    ReplyDelete
  67. I know. Damn Watch and there eye for sure to be cancelled shows (like Crisis)

    ReplyDelete
  68. This perfectly sums it up, lol

    ReplyDelete
  69. Thank God it's not based on US success. I already worry about the state this country is in.

    ReplyDelete
  70. I See Dead People12 February 2015 at 13:34

Why is it's DVD released in Region 2 five days before it gets the US release? Sorry that tells me a lot.

    ReplyDelete
  71. I doubt CW wants to release a press release saying "BEAUTY AND THE BEAST RENEWED FOR SEASON 4" when they are being stalked by Tribune as the contracts are up next year.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Wow. I think this literally has to be the earliest renewal ever aside from ones which are renewed for more than one season at a time. Well, congrats to the cast, crew and fans of the show. Since it's been leaked already, The CW should might as well make it official now. And since it's pretty much confirmed to be a summer show with less episodes, I can still hope to see my favourites from the cast in other projects :)

    ReplyDelete
  73. Christopher DeBono12 February 2015 at 13:35

"Like seeing bigfoot ride a unicorn into battle against the Loch Ness Monster."

I want a TV show where this happens.
Infact, I need this to happen.

    ReplyDelete
  74. I think you're in shock. Don't worry, it'll pass. This news can be traumatic to some, especially on this website ;)

    ReplyDelete
  75. Beauty and the Beast isn't my favorite show, but I do watch it. I loved the first season but the second just fell flat on soooo many levels. That said, it's hard to believe it's been picked up for a fourth season when season three has yet to air. Isn't that stuff generally based on ratings?

    ReplyDelete
  76. Once the mental image appears in your head, it's difficult to stop thinking about it.

    ReplyDelete
  77. It's like the bad version of Community... It just doesn't want to die Jajajajaja xD

    ReplyDelete
  78. Not for BatB it's not. If it were, the show would be gone after it's first season like many across the internet wanted/predicted.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Did u see all the negative posts posted? That is why fans get upset. Horrible posts like the ones posted by people make me not want to visit this site again and in.fact I won't that's it

    ReplyDelete
  80. It might even have better ratings :D

    ReplyDelete
  81. Hmm. I deleted a controversial comment I made but someone else reposted it. #SpyGate

    ReplyDelete
  82. This has to be the vaguest renewal in the history of renewals, lol

    ReplyDelete
  83. Love me some Autum Reeser, I would like that!

    ReplyDelete
  84. I can't imagine a budget that would allow that to happen, especially with a new show left for dead like The Messengers. I was really interested in the show so I would like for that to happen but I can't see that show renewed.

    ReplyDelete
  85. I'm still bummed it got picked up over The Tomorrow People. That was a kick ass show.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Lol it is true, that made me laugh though, the idea that the cw is trying to hide a renewal!

    ReplyDelete
  87. Let the hate begin ! BATB Fans can be proud of themselves. They fight for the show and won, Again.
But I can't stop thinking that our 2 leading actors looked extremely pissed off and bored in the last official photo and they don’t even tried to hide it. Enthusiasm at his lowest level .Maybe fans are not making them any favor in fighting for this show. Looks like BATB is becoming some sort of millstone round their neck ...

    ReplyDelete
  88. Pedowitz need to see HOD ratings (HOD that performed better than The Originals last week) and they renew BATB four months before it airs? Why? They need a comedy for summer?

    ReplyDelete
  89. This has to be the vaguest renewal in the history of all renewals. News breaking on some obscure site, not even the cast knowing.

  90. That's fair enough, I guess. But what can I say? People need to get over it at some point, it's been so many months. Somehow, I've been lucky enough to either leave shows before they're cancelled or get a closure in terms of the final season being pre-announced. So I really don't know how to react to this sentiment I afraid.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Aren't you suppose to wait until April 1st to post something like this?

    ReplyDelete
  92. Паолина12 February 2015 at 13:59

I agree, i watched the 1 season and at the end of it i was already bored! But there are many people who like it so good for them!!

    ReplyDelete
  93. I am not bitter about BatB renewal but this cracked me up!

    ReplyDelete
  94. And that is exactly why I made this post I never post on this site but every time I get on here someone bashing this show. So yahll can bash our show but we cant say nothing? and yahll get mad when we do. Oh please ... U don't like beauty the beast OK why are u here on this page???

    ReplyDelete
  95. As long as they move their low rated shows to summer, I'm fine with this. The CW really has a potential toreach the level of the other big 4 broadcast networks, but I can't see it happening if they continue to keep their low rated shows.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Christopher DeBono12 February 2015 at 14:01

I get the feeling the cast knew and Austin was playing dumb because he wasn't sure if he could say so.

    ReplyDelete
  97. I still watch BATB because I do like it, I just don't love and obsess about it the way others do. I feel that are much better shows out them. I've stuck with it because I really liked the premise and have loved Kristen since the Smallville days. I was just bummed that it was picked over a much better show. Doesn't mean I don't like it or that I'm bashing it. I'm perplexed as to how a show that hasn't even aired it's third season is rumored to already be picked up for a fourth. Makes zero sense to me.

    ReplyDelete
  98. C'mon people. I don't watch nor do I like Beauty and the Beast (watched the first 2/3 of the first season or so and didn't like it) but I don't understand the irrational hate the show gets. Yes it has low ratings but it is not like its renewal is the reason why other shows are being canned. It is being placed in the summer in extremely low priority slots, which would not be feasible for the freshman shows the CW has cancelled while renewing this one. Like, if you don't watch, why care for its renewal? Let the fans celebrate. It seems a bit too much to me that so many people feel the need to come here and bash on the show when it is a celebratory moment for its fans. If one doesn't watch and one's shows aren't being affected, why care?

Sorry for the rant, just had to say it.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Poor Hart of Dixie. Very very bad luck lol.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Yeah, I don´t have anything against the fans, let them be happy. I just don´t understand the renewal, that´s all.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Guilherme Oliveira12 February 2015 at 14:04

    CW is crazy

    ReplyDelete
  102. Not the biggest fan of this show but happy for the fan. But please now renew HoD giving the ratings on friday !

    ReplyDelete
  103. I watch it the same way I did the Twilight movies...for a laugh. The writing and acting is just way to funny. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  104. It must be doing something right. I'm sure Pedowitz is not renewing it year after year out of the goodness of his heart. I am not good with this whole renewal/cancellation business but common sense does say that the show is still profitable.
As far as airing the third season goes, I think we're way past the ratings deciding the fate of this show anyway :)

    ReplyDelete
  105. Empire rose again in HH!!!

    ReplyDelete
  106. I think it infuriates people when bad shows with poor ratings keep getting renewed and their shows get cancelled.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Certainly seems that way.

    ReplyDelete
  108. They obviously want to get it to syndication so they are putting it as summer show this year and next year.

    ReplyDelete
  109. To read my daily funny before work.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Паолина12 February 2015 at 14:24

me to, but it looks like CW is renewing all of it's shows, and it doesn't mater if they actually deserve it. at least it look that way.

    ReplyDelete
  111. It depends on what fails12 February 2015 at 14:25

Syndication is the only reason to renew such a ratings loser.

    ReplyDelete
  112. I just wonder how many years it will be on, because everything is possible now I guess :D

    ReplyDelete
  113. I just hope it´s true, because The Messengers looks good to me and I would hate if it was cancelled you know...well I mean in case it´s really good :D

    ReplyDelete
  114. It kind of pisses me off if BATB's 4th season is last they get a longer final season than Nikita got.Nikita only got 6 episodes to wrap it up and BATB would get 13 episodes for final 4th season.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Oh please, take a look on the ratings and don't talk about deserve.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Yas! I can't wait for the new season! Everyone, who thinks, Hart of Dixie should be renewed, are right, because the ratings have been decent on Fridays, but I have the feeling, the cast has already moved on to new projects (Wilson Bethel) or to build a family (Jaime King, Rachel Bilson, Scott Porter).

    ReplyDelete
  117. Me too! I don't know what it is, but her joining would just...make my world!

    ReplyDelete
  118. I just....I just... Like if Hart of Dixie can't even get 12 more episodes after this. I've lost faith in humanity...but maybe it was renewed but it won't air on the CW? Isn't it a Canadian hybrid like syfy's Bitten and Lost girl. Maybe it will air elsewhere?

    ReplyDelete
  119. Wilson's new show only has 10 episodes, Scott Porter is always saying he wants more seasons. I don't know about RB.

    ReplyDelete
  120. I'm trying to figure out which CW masterpieces have been cancelled because of Batb.

    ReplyDelete
  121. Historical_Materialist12 February 2015 at 14:58

I don't watch this show and don't intend to. But based on what I am observing, I'm going to weigh in to throw some cold water on everyone. Based on my observations:

    * The decision to renew BATB looks more like a strictly business one. The ratings have been low but they have been very stable and stability is the important thing when making a business decision. It means the CW can accurately predict what its revenue will be and that is very important.

    * We don't have visibility to the financial information for BATB. For all know it is a really cheap show to produce so for those that are critical of this renewal based on the fact its not "fair" that BATB keeps getting renewed while the shows they like don't: the mostly answer is that other shows are more expensive to produce and are not as stable so predicting their potential revenue is harder.

    * TV schedules are like bookshelves. They need to be filled at all times with something, and preferably that combination maximizes the profit for the network. Its possible that as CW looks down the road and at its schedule that it doesn't think its development pipeline is strong enough. So they went for the stable option.

Its all about the $$$$ and nothing more.

    ReplyDelete
  122. I´m not saying masterpieces, but Tomorrow People had for sure better ratings than Batb and I certainly enjoyed the show.

    ReplyDelete
  123. Well. I think I'm a bit speechless.

    ReplyDelete
  124. It will be airong in the summer where they usually air repeats, so no show is not been given a chance.

    ReplyDelete
  125. Deserve??? I don't think so...

    ReplyDelete
  126. it doesnt matter if the show deserves it or not, its all about money.

    ReplyDelete
  127. Good News!..I miss Vincent on my screen..lol

    ReplyDelete
  128. You are the one who used "deserve" not me.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Doesn't this show have bad ratings and the 3rd! season premiere date hasn't been announced yet?

    ReplyDelete
  130. All I know is that Reign better get the same treatment next year, if the CW is still around after that, and TSC should have aired this season, or last season for that matter, because if it had it would've been renewed

    ReplyDelete
  131. all i know is that @designingashton is a trusted source since she works on that show.it may not have confirmed officially. but i dont see this one getting canned before 88

    ReplyDelete
  132. I wonder if she got clearance to spill the beans ahead of a formal network announcement.

    ReplyDelete
  133. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oy17dtyskyU

    ReplyDelete
  134. Wait, WHAT?! It hasn't even premiered!
So this is the record for fastest broadcast network renewal... I'm shocked

    ReplyDelete
  135. I agree; this season The CW has renewed basically EVERYTHING, this networks is making it to be the most liked, so why get upset about this show getting renewed? At this rate HoD will be renewed too.

    ReplyDelete
  136. The Cancellation Bear is laughing at this post.

    ReplyDelete
  137. Hart of Dixie, PLEASE!

    ReplyDelete
  138. Apparently a false information ! Sorry Beasties ! And haters keep hating ! The Cancellation Bear tweeted that he checked with the CW and the renewal news is "nonsense"

    ReplyDelete
  139. Not every cancelled show is bad, but BATB...

    ReplyDelete
  140. Babar Suhail moved on dude! There is tv for everyone and every taste, just let the beasties be happy and avoid snarks about the show, show might be bad as there is so much bad tv out there as it is good but one thing this bad show has and its a big following and internet presence so that might be a big plus for the CW to keep a low rated show alive in the summers.

    ReplyDelete
  141. Bill Gorman from TVbtN contacted The CW and it has been confirmed to him to be nonsense.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Who's to say what show deserves to be renewed or cancelled. Obviously CW is making money off all their shows or else they wouldn't have renewed. CONGRATULATIONS BEASTIES AND TO ALL CW FAMDOMS.

    ReplyDelete
  143. From what I've read BatB international sales is huge. Countries in Europe and Africa are already announcing S3 so they have prepurchased it even before it airs in N America. I just don't like ppl hating on a show I happen to love. How would they like it if someone poo pooed on their show. What a wated negative emotion

    ReplyDelete
  144. This is great if it's true

    ReplyDelete
  145. Probably the same CW contact he asked when we reported that The Flash and others had been renewed. His "contact" said that was nonsense as well. Then voila, they all got renewed :)

    ReplyDelete
  146. If it was so good TTP fans should have fought for their show harder and better.

    ReplyDelete
  147. Possible, but I cannot see this being true in any way. I'll wait for an official announcement from the CW.

    ReplyDelete
  148. And they seemed to have a good time with it, so it comes as a bit of a shock.
The good thing is that they renewed renewals

    ReplyDelete
  149. WOW! I'm speechless... GOOD FOR THE FANS! I think this may actually have a chance for future seasons too as a summer show.

    ReplyDelete
  150. Why?Nikita did.HoD might. Both of those had better ratings in season two than BatB.

    ReplyDelete
  151. you are hilarious lol

    ReplyDelete
  152. I'm soo confused...This site says its true, but A main actor says he dosent know anything and tvbtn says its not true after concatenation CW and tpCW saying "it's nonsense. We haven't made a descion yet".This is the only site saying this.CW hasn't officially confirmed it .It Coukd Belive that time a guy wrote an article saying BatB season three would have 22 episodes and he was wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  153. agreed ..,here in Spain #BATB is one of the top series and even in our neighborhood countries like Italy Germany Greece UK etc...

    ReplyDelete
  154. They might it later like they did Flash,Jane renewal in Jan after a couple days before Christmas there was this site saying Flash,Jane got early renewals

    ReplyDelete
  155. OMG YES or is it a joke? I didn't get it... Some say it's a lie

    ReplyDelete
  156. Some people trust The Cancellation Bear as the Holy Bible.

    ReplyDelete
  157. Yep, I've lost count of the number of times that site has made mistakes.

    ReplyDelete
  158. Summer run for sure. It has to be. Now HoD is doing great on fridays they should renew it too.

    ReplyDelete
  159. "deserved"

a show that horrible overseas sales (sold to third-party foreign networks, only aired in 4 european states) and a terrible track record if it comes to the US market certainly doesen't deserve a fourth season.
And let's not forget the home video disaster that was season 1, there's a reason season 2 still hasn't hit the market.

No, neither BatB, nor Reign, nor The 100 have earned another season.

    ReplyDelete
  160. This is crazy-is CW honestly renewing Eveything?

    ReplyDelete
  161. Maybe, but Rember the leak about Jane/Flash being renewed ened up being true less than a month later

    ReplyDelete
  162. I'm calling it now: theCW is clinically dead.

One major affiliate might have pulled the plug behind the scenes and this is the networks big farewell tour.

Would make sense given the networks renewal craze

    ReplyDelete
  163. I'm seriously confused at this point.

If we talk about "earning" another season no show but Flash/Arrow/SPN really did on theCW. And yet every, even the worst of the worst got renewed. Seirously BatB is THE CW show that established a 0.2 average

    ReplyDelete
  164. ok seem fair. It wpn't live too bad.

    ReplyDelete
  165. RIGHT?! People always call me crazy when pulling out the fourth twilight movie for watching it drunk with others. But it makes for the best laughs because it takes itself so serious (same with BatB, it really isn't self aware)

    ReplyDelete
  166. implying that fans have a say in decisions that have been made behind the curtains.

Most reasonable reason for season 4: theCW and Take5 have worked out a deal to create a limited run for both Reign/BatB (both are produced by Take5)

    ReplyDelete
  167. Actually we don't because the bible is a lie, but he is way more trustable than RumorTV.

    ReplyDelete
  168. Reign/100/BatB/HoD: 6 episodes each (24 episodes in a whole aka. the budget for ONE average TV season)

    that concept could work

    ReplyDelete
  169. Sold into 4 major foreign markets as far as I know, not much of a success

    ReplyDelete
  170. True. But tvbtn contacted CW and Czw is saying its not triue, they have decided yet.BatB may have terrible ratings but it's halfway or more to syndication, cheap to produce and has strong international sales.Renewals especially on CW aren't just about ratings or DVr numbers.Jane has been steady,is cheap to produce, has great Retrntion ,won Czw it's first GG so to a certain extent it earned it.Butvon the other hand,it's ratings aren't great( only three 0.6s) so .l

    ReplyDelete
  171. That's because he is.

    ReplyDelete
  172. Season 1 sold under expectations, that's why season 2 is released simultaniously with season 3s premiere. The german release is done independantly by CBS Germany that's why it's getting an earlier release

    ReplyDelete
  173. i think s1 was OK but s2 imploded.

    ReplyDelete
  174. unless they blew the potential budget on BatB now :P

    ReplyDelete
  175. sorry ttp was also crap. same goes to star crossed

    ReplyDelete
  176. 0.2....that's all I'm saying and my only reasoning in this. A renewal shouldn't even be up for debate

    ReplyDelete
  177. And this is the same bear who said that BatB is no longer it's concern because it's a summer show now.
But to be fair, on the website he's posted the news as a journalist and not as the Bear. And while he seems convinced that it's a mistake, I still think this is an accidental leak. I think the best thing to do right now is wait for CW official announcement. Today's been a weird day, everyone just needs to calm down!

    ReplyDelete
  178. so can anyone answer this maybe from @maclives .
that did u guys got any confirmation from cw nw???

    ReplyDelete
  179. @True You do realise we're simply reporting what is being posted on other sites. We're not announcing this? Or can't you make the distinction between a news reader and the actual story/person making the news?

We did not make these tweets, someone on the show did.

We did not announce a Season 4 renewal, a canadian trade publication did.

    ReplyDelete
  180. TV by the numbers are saying reports of the show being renewed are nonsense.

    ReplyDelete
  181. i think someone from batb team said 13 eps.i think cw will drag this out for syndication.

    ReplyDelete
  182. Did you read the updates.

And I really don't care what they said. They also said it was nonsense when we reported that Flash and JtV was renewed a few weeks before the official announcement.

    ReplyDelete
  183. To be fair they were wrong on Jane and Flash, so I'd be carefull with this.

However, I haven't seen BatB perform well overseas, since there're not any real news regarding the shows overseas success. However I do know that the home video release for BatB s1 was a complete mess and actually cost some heads at CBS HV.

And for syndication...I could actually see BatB in syndication due to the one-off episodes. But the thing is...it's still pretty far away from syndication with 57 episodes. Is the CW going to risk 31 more episodes? Doubtfull

    ReplyDelete
  184. I've lost count of the number of times , billions , the Bear killed Batb, Funny game. I'm starting to wonder if is not the Bear keeping this show alive.
