  1. Okay, there was absolutely no point to this season at all and it was a hot mess all around since nothing happened. Bette, Dot, and Jimmy, and Desiree and her family were cute, though.

    Fix it next season!

  2. Now that was a finale. Nothing made me happier than to see Dandy get what he deserves. But I'm glad to see that some of the freaks end up in a good place. I have mixed feelings about Elsa's fate. On one hand, I was glad that the fulfillment of her Hollywood dream left a bitter taste in her mouth and she learns of the consequences of her turning the show over to Dandy. But on the other hand, she ends up forgiven by the freaks in the afterlife. Oddly enough, her time at the freak show may have been the happiest time of her life. It's just took Elsa too long to realize it.

  3. Yeah, this wasn't a perfect season of the show though it had some good moments. Hope they iron out the kinks next season.

  4. I wanted to love this season really I did. I watched pretty much all of it. But in the end it was very blah. Glad Dandy got what he deserved and as awful as Desiree is I was kind of happy to see her little family at the end and Jimmys. The ending almost had a Lost kind of vibe to it. Everyone just coincidently goes to some sort of freak show circus afterlife and it's all happy. I don't know I just don't know quite how to feel about the season overall. Finale wasn't bad but I kind of wished a worse fate on Elsa. I thought she was awful as a person, a friend and towards her so called family. Her past and mistreatment isn't an excuse for the things she did and said on the show to her family. I was kind of hoping she would get something worse then getting to spend the afterlife with her family.

  5. For a moment, I thought the happiness of Elsa's afterlife experience would take a sudden ugly turn when it turns out the freaks have trapped her in a scenario where she can perform all she wants on the stage but there'll never be a crowd that will applaud to her or adore her. A dose of freak justice even in the afterlife.

  7. Not a bad finale but I liked this season more than most. Good to see Dandy get his due and good to see Edward Mordrake and Twisty. Happy endings for most. Wondering what the next season will be about?

  8. I think Elsa deserved her happy ending. When you look at what she went through in her life, it's amazing she was able to be functional and to accomplish as much as she did. No one is perfect, but despite her faults, she gave those people a place to live and work and have happiness and love. They were her family, however dysfunctional. It was a sad and happy ending.

Dandy's ending was too tame for me. I would have rather they gave him a similar ending to Stanley's.

I think next season is supposed to be from Mordrake's time. Let's hope it's alot less depressing and a better season all around.

  9. I always hate episodes like this.

    *Spoilers*

Its annoying that Dandy basically gets to murder everyone then have such a simple death. Like I mean, he shot how many people with that gun? F' off. I was happy when Eve saved Desiree I thought that was awesome but, yeah...

This season had more plot holes then any-other, I mean Dandy not noticing that Desiree is pouring his drink, come on. It was nice seeing Twisty at the end, but I don't think "Heroes" was the best song choice for that moment, should have been heaver in my opinion.

Really the only thing that was worth it in the season was seeing Pepper going to briarcliff, but aside from that and MAYBE the Bette/Dot/Jimmy thing, the season was a waste.

  11. Sarah Paulson is alive. Again.
    Ahahahhah
Her characters are immune from the RM's Death Note lol
4 different characters. 4 characters alive.

  12. I said the same thing.. I said instead of a church, the pulled LOST in a freak show! lol

When Dandy was on his psychotic killing spree, I was yelling at the TV!

I have been guessing that Mordrake will have something to do with season 5. Just a guess....

  13. Well, who do you think was supposed to kill her? Obviously not Dandy, ha.

  14. I'm ok with the way it except for Elsa.. I really wanted her to suffer after what she did to her family.. and she ended up getting off easy in the end..

  15. It was a must see event alright, crazy but must see I went from being shocked but not surprised and sad to happy at the end.

  16. Well, It was way better than Coven, but it started pretty good and fall hard pretty soon.

I don't know what they mean with reboot for next year, because every season is a reboot.
I guess it's because they're losing many of the actors. As much as I love and will miss Jessica Lange, she was playing the same character over and over again (and its not her fault). Maybe they need to stop creating and forcing characters just to use her or Evan Peters (which I'm getting tired of).

Now that they're starting fresh with less stars, they should get rid of Ryan Murphy and company too.

And I guess the next season will be "The Hills Have Eyes", right?

  17. I hope not. It was dreadful.

  18. Yeah I was thinking the same.

  19. I think next season will be about Heaven and Hell. They have been hinting at last seasons voodoo devil character as we've see that image several time over the season. Also the mention of immortality and of course the after life scene.

I liked this season even with all of it's disjointedness and lack of a linear story line. It was the tiny moments that really shined. And to think Twisty was only a small part of the season and he seemed so long ago...as does Ma Petite and Mordrake. I'll say it certainly was a memorable season.

  20. Yeah I totally agree will The Hills Have Eyes theme because their is a theory going around about something called Top Hat was a "local field exercise"conducted by the Untied States Army Chemical Corps in 1953. The exercise involved the use of Chemical Corps personnel to test Biological and Chemical Warfare decontamination methods. These personnel were deliberately exposed to these contaminants, so as to test decontamination" and the last clue topped it off for me.

  21. Even though this was by far my least favorite season, I loved the finale! I just wish it focused a little less on Elsa and more on the others.

  22. Shite, that was a good finale.

  24. For a season full of ups and downs . This was definetly an UP.
It was everything I was expecting. I liked that teh freakshows were togetehr beyyond death. Kind of reminded me to lost and i loved it.

  25. I loved this season but I think that with the "Freak Show" theme it could have been the best one and much darker. Anyway, it was waaaaay much better than Coven and the incorporations of Twisty and Dandy were just excellent. Overall, Freak Show was a great season. (And yes, the ending was sooo Lost!)

Now, please... please... AHS, reinvent youself! It's time for a BIG change!

  26. I came here only to see if someone had my thoughts on the episode. The only thing missing was Vincent next to Elsa.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Considering how happy the rest of them were, I'd say that they were all an illusion for Elsa.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Oh, come on, Dandy wasn't that bad. No one is perfect.

    ReplyDelete
  29. You are talking about Dandy, right. The twisted, murderous man-child who believed himself to be some kind of god due to the high of killing someone.

  30. I wasn't being serious.

  31. What was the last clue?

    ReplyDelete
  32. To me when Danny Huston said to Elsa since they last saw each other He had been working in construction, putting his artistic abilities to the test as he created fake building in Nevada so that the government could blow them up with atomic bombs. Which led to radiation poisoning .

  33. Coven was the best season for me..Freakshow was kinda stale except for the Mordrake episodes and Orphans...I really liked the Asylum scenes with Pepper
