  1. Well, this has the potential to end badly.

  2. They really, really like to use the word 'Heart' in titles for this show don't they?!?!

  3. It's Disney, what do you expect? They use that word in everything practically, even non tv stuff, for example the video game Kingdom Hearts.

  11. Well actually they have borrowed a bit from the original tales too and not just Disney's version(s) of them ( Such as they also have Judeo-Christian allusions/allegories. ie: "Mary" Margret, David & James, The Savior, Giants that farm and reap rewards in a 'Kingdom up in a land of Clouds' whose juxtaposing counter parts are dwarfs that mine magical angel, err I mean fairy dust--good magic, the novel: Heart of Darkness also has allegorical elements, ect) , but more over I think that it's obvious that one's heart is very symbolic to the series themes and mythology, as following one's heart is a nice metaphor for one's motivations while exploring the complexities of love in terms of lust or compassion--in the name of either family or duty.

Once Upon A Time at times surely has it's flaws, but it does what Disney has not, which is spin the great classics together, made it darker (like how some of it originally was), and made it relatable to modern audience and not just modern children.

  12. Kind of curious if the metaphor will become literal?

  13. Rumple/Gold story? hope it's true and a good one.... but with OUAT-writers, I never know what's really going on

  14. It's a major part of the show.

  15. You may be right...but i think it may be about Emma's heart.

  16. and it was about Emma's past, so...
Scoot Nimerfro wrote all the episodes about Emma's past in the 4A.
But maybe there is a link between Emma and Gold : in the first season - and it was a thing i enjoyed - M. Gold and Emma was close : they fight for their child.

  18. Someone gets ahold of Gold's heart? Nah, it'll probably be about Emma who has a Heart of Gold.

  19. From s02e09, " that her heart can't be taken off her chest."
