  2. I made a sound that I will never EVER be able to replicate, which is weird because I did it for the entire final five minutes of this episode. Densi FINALLY happened. Like for real happened. They're canon now. I mean, in an ACTUAL relationship. No backpedaling or anything. Not even a hallucination or whatever ridiculously stupid thing television does these days to trick it's viewers.

I'm having a diffcult time believing it because it wasn't that long ago we were so completely SCREWED by Tiva. For a while there I thought they would push it back another two or three seasons at least. But nope, they took the plunge! Densi is a thing! They had a real kiss that wasn't undercover or in a deleted scene or swept under the rug two minutes later.

I'm going to wake up tomorrow and watch the episode again just to make sure it's not all in my head. That's partially because it's taken so long, and partially because I was half expecting them to put a stop to it in a very bad way. But those two had a serious discussion in a public location, they actually TALKED about their feelings, and not in a way that was vague. They used actual words and laid everything out on the table. Then they kissed right where everyone could see them!

Okay, now comes the next part: the two of them in a relationship. If the writers decide to make them happen only to break them up in the following season, I will be supremely pissed off. Now that they're together, the writers need to committ to it. Give them problems sure, every relationship has issues, but backpedal just to add unneeded drama. Densi was never Tiva, don't give them the drama you likely would have given Tiva if they had happened.

Anyway, this is all very exciting and I can't wait to see what happens next.

Oh, and Callen better not screw this up. That woman is really nice and caring and lovely and so easy on the eyes. Seriously, how many attractive people can you put on one show?

  3. I loved that this episode was so Callencentric. And I think it more than satisfied the Kensi fans too. In fact, when it came to ships, this episode had a veritable navy. lol

I laughed at that final question too and loved the fact that Callen had the final word this time.

I like Joelle too. I think she'll fit nicely.

  4. Now that's how you do a holiday episode! I've only been watching for three weeks, and I'm completely sucked into this show. Kensi and Deeks are amazing. They are my new favorite couple! Now if you excuse me, I need to go binge watch the last 5 seasons.

  5. Welcome to the family, Jessica!

  6. Finally, is all I have to say! That Kensi and Deeks kiss was hot. I hope they don't mess it up. Also I loved the Joelle referred to the team as Callen's family. Loved the ending, as well. Of course Jo asks the one question that Callen can't answer.

  7. By far the best episode of the season for me. The case was interesting, Callen's arc was very interesting to watch. But the highlight for me has to be that DENSI finally happened! Also liked the the holiday theming throughout.

  8. Hopefully/Finally this is the end of the will they wont they as the whole thing of Kensi/Deeks needs to end one way or another either put them together or drop it. I fear having watched the whole thing with Tony/Ziva this kiss between Kensi/Deeks will be swept under the rug & theyll continue the will they wont they

  9. I want to point out to everyone that it was Kensi that pushed them together. Deeks did nothing so maybe now people will stop blaming Kensi for everything wrong with these two.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Deeks isn't in season 1 except 2 episodes.

    ReplyDelete
  11. That was them getting together.lol but you are right. No more games just let them deal with being a couple. They are adults. They can handle it.

  12. But was it Lol i dont trust NCIS Writers

Deeks did do something. He was there for her after Afghanistan (remember the boat shed scene?), but he was giving her space after that because she needed it. But he was there for her, waiting patiently, until she was ready. I'm not saying he's perfect, because he really was just as guilty for dancing around his feelings for so long, but he hasn't been doing "nothing," really. IMO, at least.

  14. I loved this episode, especially the ending. We got our first look at Sam's entire family. I remember the time when it seemed Sam was like Callen, a lone wolf with no family outside of NCIS. It's good to see Callen wanting to work things out with Jo. I was really happy when Jo meet Callen at the rink. It just may work out for these two now that Callen is finally letting her know who he really is. I had to chuckle at Callen trying to distract Jo with dancing while Kensi was taking out the bad guy outside of Jo's house. We officially have Densi, even though I didn't expect them to be so open with each other in front of the gang. Hopefully Granger and/or Hettie won't have a problem with Deeks and Kensi being in a relationship. I have a bad feeling though they will have a problem and won't allow Kensi and Deeks to be partners anymore. We shall see. Speaking of partners being in a relationship, looks like Nell and Eric are getting closer as well. I'm going to rewatch the ending to this episode and enjoy the warm fuzzies a few more times.

  15. Absolutely loved this episode! The Densi shippers can finally be happy and Callen fans like me got a great story as well. I love when the show tells us a little more about the character's lives. I can't wait to see what happens in the new year!

  16. Loved this episode, and NCIS: LA always do amazing Christmas episodes. It was great character development and seeing all the family together in the final scene (Sam/Michelle, Callen/Jo, Deeks/Kensi)...and Deeks and Kensi are finally together *squeals loudly*. Really excited to see how their personal/romantic relationship unfolds :)

  17. Have fun during all that binge watching and welcome aboard fellow Densi fan!! :)

  18. The writers did something like that last season. I don't think they will do it a second time. At least I hope so.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I don't think they will try to sweep those kisses under the rug..or dare to go back to "will they wont they routine.

Like you mentioned..that guessing game involving the status of Densi...was pretty well being stretched thin & playing itself out ....and in the end.. pleasing no one.

Now that the Densi's "thing" has been freed from the TV jail it was being held in. ...I think the writers will have more freedom and hopefully ...more fun... in being allowed to fully explore the up & downs of Deeks & Kensi working together AND trying to be a couple at the same time.

I think the one reason I feel comfortable in saying that Deeks/Kensi won't go down the Tony/Ziva road...is because I believe Brennan & Co...learned from the mistakes they did with Tony/Ziva....and they won't make the same mistakes with Densi.

The powers that be behind the show...do listen & pay attention to the fans...an example of that is the fact that Kensi has not punched Deeks once so far in S6.
I believe one big reason it stopped...is because.they knew fans were upset & tired of seeing Kensi punching Deeks so often...

  20. Is it real? Is. It. Real? I can't even. Too much happiness inside me. Just finished the episode and all I can process is that I can't process this kiss. Gosh. Best Christmas episode ever. Finally. No undercover ops, no excuses. Just, them. For once.

CHRISTMAS MIRACLE my friends. Now we'll have to wait and see how they deal with this.

  21. Awesome episode. I can't wait to see more. But that explanation about Callen will take at least have a season.

  22. Loved it, loved it, LOVED IT. Fantastic episode, start to finish. Especially the finish: so much shippy goodness! And Kensi and Deeks are officially together now! *happy dance* :D

  23. This is a different set of writers - and a different showrunner - so this isn't necessarily going to be a repeat of the Tiva debacle (which I'm still upset about). As for Hetty, I think she's fine with it. Remember the "sunshine and gunpowder" note she slipped Deeks at the end of season 4? She knows. And she got them sat phones for Christmas last year so they could stay in touch while Kensi was in Afghanistan. I know a lot of people think she sent Kensi away to try and break them up, but I always saw it as simply a case of really bad timing. Granger I'm not sure about, but ultimately it's not against the rules so either way they're fine.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Not Hetty, she knows and even helped them with the las Xmas gift when Kensi was in Afghanistan ( a phone for Deeks and Kensi) ... she is not against...

  25. It was an overall awesome episode. I'm a bit wary of the Kensi and Deeks-thing though. On one hand, it's better that they're together for real than dragging an annoying cat-and-mouse game out for several more seasons like the original show did with Tony and Ziva, but on the other hand, I don't want private relationship-scenes between them to take too much screentime, I prefer it when crime shows focus on their work, and the dynamic between the team as a whole.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I agree here i dont want the show becoming the Kensi/Deeks show & there is always that danger when you put 2 of the cast members together epspecially after such a long cat and mouse game

    ReplyDelete
  27. If they learned from there mistakes of the whole tony/ziva situation they wouldnt of dragged Kensi/deeks out as long as they have because its been tired & old for atleast a few seasons now

  28. i think that Callen is so used to losing anyone he even tries to get close too that he has given up trying to hold on to anyone. Don't forget he never learned how to make attachments as a child. Joelle seems to be a gentle forgiving soul. I think she'll be good for him.

  29. Whether you like Densi or you don't..the facts are...when they put the focus on them in a positive way..Densi helps to lift the show's ratings and viewing numbers!

Last night's show had 9.45 million viewers.....which was second to the season opener which had 9.50 million.

Bottom line is...Mo Densi = Mo ratings...which in the end...can only help the shows chances for staying on the air for more seasons!

    ReplyDelete
  30. the amount of viewers won't dtermine if it'll stay on the air for more seasons or not.

Bottom Line is the demo 18-49 is what will decide if it's on the air for more seasons or not so Mo Densi didn't have an impact on the ratings in a way that will help determine if it gets more seasons or not as the demo stayed the same.

    ReplyDelete
  31. The focus in this episode was more on Callen and his new girl friend. I think that's what affected the ratings more, not the two minutes of Densi. The board I frequent was buzzing with anticipation of more Callen and his personal life. And this episode didn't disappoint.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I meant this episode only. If you read the blogs and tumblr almost everyone blamed Kensi for doing nothing. My point is 100% directed at this episode and how she was the one that pushed it forward while he sat there

    ReplyDelete
  33. Hetty is bipolar. Sometimes she is for it other times against it but I don't expect any smooth sailing from here on out and I hope no one else does too because they will be highly disappointed

    ReplyDelete
  34. I agree the 18 to 49 demo will play a large roll in the shows chances for more seasons.
The question is what will attract that younger demographic focusing on the teams personal lives or more action?

    Oooh, gotcha. :)

LOL Until he kissed her. :D haha

  36. The guy that does NCISLA also wrote a few years of Tiva so that si why people compare them and from what I have read fro TIVA fans he is a big reason the couple were never put together

    ReplyDelete
  37. I have no doubt that you believe that the focus on Callen was the reason the show did
    so well in the ratings.

But on this boards Spoiler question as to what fans thought was their fave scene that 2 minute Densi kissing scene was voted number one with 303 votes out if 352 cast in total.
They received almost 87% of the votes.
    Joelle taking Callen back was
    second , with 21 votes or 5.97%.

  38. He did drag things out unnecessarily, I'll grant you that. I'm hoping this means he's learned from his (and his successor's) mistake.

  39. finally was able to watch the episode and I loved every second of it. And the end was just great. My shipper heart almost couldn't take it. Finally Densi happened

    ReplyDelete
  40. While I am glad that Kensi and Deeks kissed, I also dreaded it as well. This is going to mess up their partnership and make things difficult when one is danger. I sort of shipped them, but I never shipped Tony and Ziva and was glad that never really happened until she left. I just hope the show doesn't become them trying continue how to keep things working. I loved that Callen finally has someone in his life and that she knows the truth. Someone said that she felt Callen didn't fight for her, but he is the one who sent the message to bring Jo to the rink, so he didn't give up, but he did give her space to figure things out for herself. That says a lot about Callen I think. He has been on his own for long with the exception of the team, he understands that people need their space more then anyone. I didn't know Sam had a son too and it was nice to meet his daughter and it was good to see Michelle again. Great episode.
