  1. It's clear that the fans much prefer Deeks over Hanna. Why must the writers deprive us of more Deeks background.

I also enjoyed the scene where Callen practiced restraint when speaking to the military kid. Callen has such a disregard for authority, unless it's Hetty (but even then he does whatever he wants in the end)

How are Callen and Hanna such good friends? What connects these two characters? They are polar opposites.

  2. You kidding me? Sam Hanna is a far superior character to Deeks. Hes certainly more rounded.

  3. I respectfully disagree. I am not even the slightest bit interested in him as anything other than Callen's partner. To me, Deeks and Callen are far more compelling characters. We know nothing about Deeks' history, and it's been glimpsed as a sad one, not unlike Callen's past.

It's a good thing that everybody has different favorites! :)

It is interesting (in a sad way) that we don't seem to get a lot of background on Deeks. I don't know why that is and I want to know more!

Callen does have a disregard for authority, doesn't he?! It's funny that he had to practice restraint with a kid!

I think that's part of the fun of Callen and Hanna that they're polar opposites. It makes their pairing fun. Somehow they still understand each other well, though. They're a good influence on the other! This episode Callen encouraged Sam. In other eps Sam has helped out Callen & makes sure he's not lonely. I love their respect for each other.

  8. another not very interesting episode and the case was a bit hard to follow. I give the writers some credit though this year as they seem to listen to the fans.. They cleared up Sams kid situation , they stopped the kensi punching and made her much more good natured. Callen seems to have a life outside NCIS and no doubt there is a Deeks backstory coming down the road. As for what they do with Deeks and Kensi , I think its safe to say they have already put them together . For sure there will be big bumps in the road sometime later this season . If they are trying to hide it from the rest of the team they are not doing a good job of it.lol

  9. I don't think its clear that the fans prefer any one character over another. Each character on the show has its merits and fans. I prefer Callen and Sam stories over those of Kensi and Deeks, but that is just my opinion, I would never tell other fans that their preferences are right or wrong. I really liked that Callen was the one encouraging Sam this time instead of the other way around. Not having a father around gave Callen a unique perspective on the father/son dynamics Sam was dealing with. I also liked the Disney character banter. If Sam is Sully, would that make Callen Mike Wazowski? Just a thought. I thought this was a well done episode.

A couple of the plot segues were kind of weird, I thought, so I understand why you say the case was a little hard to follow. What do you mean about Sam's kid situation? But you're right - I hadn't even noticed that Kensi hadn't been punching this season and she's been very good natured. I love that Callen seems to have a life outside NCIS and I'm hoping for that Deeks backstory! Yeah, if Deeks and Kensi are trying to hide their "thing" from the rest of the team, they are failing. Lol.

  11. I mean sometimes Sam said He had kids then other times kid. So it makes more sense now knowing he has two and 1 doesn't live with him and his wife very often. I would assume its different mothers but maybe we find out this week.. Still it doesn't make a lot of sense about their ages. In season 4 he says he needs a babysitter for his kids. PLURAL. That would imply two younger ones at home , but as we see now one is much older and in military school. Maybe the writers couldn't decide how many he had.lol

Oh, gotcha. That IS all very weird and inconsistent. Maybe you're right & the writers couldn't decide how many he had. LOL. :)
