Wow this was not the brother I was expecting to be promoted. Yusuf plays an interesting part, will be neat to see what they have in store for him.

Good for Yusuf! I don't much care for Finn, but Yusuf is a brilliant actor. I guess that brings the main cast to seven characters now.

ReplyDeleteYusuf has been very good in his role. Does this mean that he will be Finn permanently? If so, I am conflicted. On one hand , he has been awesome as Finn and on the other hand, it still feels very weird to see him (and the other Originals) not inhabiting his/their original bodies

ReplyDeleteThis is awesome because Yusuf is a great actor. Strange to think where they're gonna go with Finn for the rest of the season, though. And I don't expect this to change much. He's already in a LOT of scenes. Not like he can take any more screen time.

ReplyDeleteTrue he was fun. Problem is he was like Mikael. Interesting, well played but is best in concerntrated doses. Now if they made him a witch and kept his more relaxed less combative nature that comes from him being a witch it would work nicely.

ReplyDeleteI don't understand what can yusuf bring more to the table that he already hasn't done on the show till date.He has been a mama's boy till now and will remain so till the end.His acting is good,i'll give him that but kol is 10 times more interesting than him.Both nate and now daniel is doing a great job portraying him.I'll take him anyday before finn,doesn't matter whether he's a witch/original.But that's just me!
ReplyDeleteHah I see what you mean. I'm kinda conflicted because I'd like to see more of a witch version of Kol but most of me just wants the badass vampire back. I think they can keep him on the same track he's been even if he gets back to his own body. He doesn't need to be THAT much of a nuisance beyond getting revenge on Klaus. Especially if Dahlia is introduced it will change things for all siblings no doubt.

ReplyDeleteThis only means daniel sharman would exit the show at some point in season 2 and kol will go back into his original body and then no doubt get daggered for the 10,000th time by klaus/elijah & finally end up in a box like usual!

ReplyDeleteCaspar Zafer seems to have stopped acting, his last gig was on TVD in 2012 and since he's only been modeling and recently won the world rowing race for the UK. So his return might not even be in the cards.
ReplyDeleteNate is still involved with the show and the fandom so I think that there's a big shot for his return, also Sharman hasn't clicked with the fandom that well
Great news! Yusuf's been a great addition to the show this season IMO. TBH I also prefer Daniel's version of Kol to Nate's and would've been happy to read he was being upped to regular as well. Nate seems like a great guy but I'm not a fan of his acting at all.

ReplyDeleteCool. I approve as long as he's eventually just Vincent and not Finn. Regardless of my preferences, Yusuf Gatewood has done a great job since he was added to the show and while I don't care much for this story arc I do enjoy his performances.
