On last week's
Stalker, an entire family was stalked and terrorized by some skinheads. It starts in the middle of the night when some men drive by the house of Mark and his family and write the word 'nazi' on his garage. Mark comes running out of the shower and his neighborhood notices the tatoos all over his body. It turns out he himself was a skinhead who was part of some brotherhood, but left when he met his wife Christina. Also part of that brotherhood was Chad, who went to prison and felt betrayed by Mark. Therefore, he had some skinheads terrorize his house. While the TAU is unable to arrest him for that, he makes some racist remarks to Ben and he is arrested for that. In the meantime, one of Mark's neighbors wants revenge on Mark because someone he knew was the victim of a hate crime by skinheads. The TAU is able to arrest him and save Mark, even though it becomes pretty clear that they think Mark's past is wrong.
In the sidestories, we saw Trent again this week as he was helping in the investigation. Trent was part of a task force to bring the brotherhood down, and he recruited Mark to help with that. Trent, who was stabbed by Mark's neighbor, later discusses with Amanda whether or not Jack has a right to see his son Ethan. The two don't know that Ethan is overhearing this conversation. Elsewhere, Beth gets a package that has a reference to her past, and it makes her pretty terrified.
This episode was a step back from the previous ones and I think it was a bit of a filler. I didn't feel that the case was as strong as previous ones, even though the fact that we had a male victim was refreshing. I still enjoyed it but not as much as the previous episodes. There was also little movement on the Jack and Beth's stories. The hostility between Jack and Amanda has definitely waned and I get the feeling that Jack is no more the creepy stalker he was in the beginning, although I would like some confirmation on that. The fact that Ethan now knows that Jack is his father is bound to make things more interesting. I am not sure though, if he knows who Jack is since Jack used his father's name when Ethan spoke to him. Beth's story looks to get more intense next week from the looks of the promo, and this episode sure set that up a bit.
