  1. So Arrow returns a week later than it did last year.

    ReplyDelete
  2. So no new The 100 and Arrow for a month.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Why so late? I hate hiatuses :\

    ReplyDelete
  4. It's weird that they are taking this long to return the 100 if it's really their intention to finish it earlier and let the messengers air there.

  5. Just wanted to post the same thing. I thought The 100 would return earlier and finish by early march so The Messengers could start. But seems like they The Messengers will just like The 100 last year run over and end in early June.

  6. No new Arrow for a month. This hiatus will be hard.

  7. I wasn't expecting my shows to run so far into December so I'm ok with this month long hiatus. I remember, just a few years ago, feeling like the winter hiatus was brutal compared to summer.
I do wonder when the schedule will open up for izombie and the Messengers. The 100 will end early but what else?

  8. The last fall episode for The 100 will be on Dec 17, so Jan 21 isn't too long of a hiatus. Hopefully Agent Carter will fill the void.

  9. Oh at having to wait for so long for The 100 and SPN.

  10. Well we have to remember the winter games in February meant we lost two weeks this year in February for all shows, so moving all shows a week later for early next year, wont make a difference really.

They need to shorten the breaks between January and May, because CW had several breaks after two of three episodes in a row, its was just annoying. I'm all for consistent back to back airings, even it it means we wait longer after Christmas, its worth it.

  11. It will be only one month for The 100, since it ends the first half on December 17.
In a world in which TV shows go on 4 months hiatus from fall to spring, I'm pretty much ok with this

    ReplyDelete
  12. It seems like The 100 will wrap up by March and The Messengers will premiere by March's end just like The 100 did last spring. Guess The CW is hoping that The Messengers premieres as high as The 100 even if it comes late

    ReplyDelete
  13. So where is iZombie going to premiere? And when?
My guess is that 2 shows will move: SPN and either Jane The Virgin or Reign to Fridays, so that iZombie can premiere out of The Flash

    ReplyDelete
  14. I wonder why they're returning a week late this year? Last 2 years shows returned the week prior.

  15. It still makes me sad to think of the 100's premiere rating and seeing how poor it is doing now. Damn :/

    ReplyDelete
  16. Supernatural isn't moving anywhere.

  17. It's always those breaks pretty randomly in between that always pretty much break my balls... xD It's always when I'm looking forward to it the most, I think I'll be able to watch it, and then it's obvious that they have one of their "breaks" again. So I couldn't agree with you more on that front.

  18. Glad to see Hart of Dixie returning. It's been gone too long.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Messengers will probably take over for The 100 when it finishes its 16 episodes season.IZombie idk..I really doubt they'll move SPN, they didn't break up the Arrow/SPN when Arrow was a hit in its first season so I don't think they'll do it'll now either.

  20. If so, then these are iZombies current timeslot possibilities:
-Premiere on Fridays at some point.
-Premiere after The Originals which is doing 0.7-0.6s, while moving JtV to Fridays.
-Premiere after TVD which is doing 0.8-0.7s, while moving Reign to Fridays.
    -Premiere during Summer.

If The CW wants to give iZombie a good lead in and a fair chance at success, SPN should move to a different night, possibly Mondays while moving JtV to Fridays: this is because SPN has proved to be able to carry on its audience to any given night, even Fridays. As for JtV moving to Fridays, that is because it is the show with the lowest count on episodes.

Now, if The CW wants to make JtV a success regardless of their expectations for iZombie, then SPN could move to Thursdays 9PM while sending Reign to Fridays.

Either way, it will be really hard to schedule iZombie considering The Messengers will already take the timeslot currently used by The 100

  21. Yep, it's really sad! It should be doing 0.6s at least, and 0.7 regularly. And to be honest, the show deserves even more.
Damn... I really thought it would take more advantage out of Arrow!

    ReplyDelete
  22. It's really weird because more peope are tuning in, just look at the total viewing numbers. Except for episode 2, the total viewers has risen each time. Only that stubborn demo is unwilling to come along. It just skews a bit old or too young. If another CW show (say, TVD or SPN) would get 1.75 million viewers, the demo would be like 0.7/0.8. Sadly, The 100's is only 0.5 :(

  23. Jan 21 st and 22nd....damn that's a long time!!

    ReplyDelete
  24. Where is iZombie premiering then?Someone help.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Same. All the 1-2 week hiatuses annoy me.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I see your point (I have no idea how they are going to fit their new spring premieres in their schedule since they still have HOD and BaTB ), but this lead-in thing doesn't really work for CW. Then the last time lead-in helped? How many shows were successful because of good lead-in? All so-called hits were self-starters 8pms, all flops or low-raters- 9pms . SPN is an exception.
So my crazy theory that they need to find another 8pm slot to premier successful show and put SPN as safety blanket underneath. Which is simply impossible because all juicy 8pm spots are taken.
They wont move SPN on Friday period - its too valuable to run on lowest advertising cost day of the week. MY guess they move Reign to Fridays with HOD and premier iZ after TVD. Which is going to flop as everything else in that timeslot. Any other move will require 2 shows to change their fall timeslots (one of them SPN for sure).

    ReplyDelete
  27. They probably will move Reign to Fridays and premiere iZombie after TVD. Monday is a bad premiere day, and I doubt they kick SPN to Fridays. So this is the most logical move I see. But logic usually fails when it comes to CW

    ReplyDelete
  28. That season they had enough timeslots because some of their fall newbies were cancelled early. This year they seems to like keeping everything.

    ReplyDelete
  29. So true.CW is very unpredictable when it comes to this kind of things! i doubt SPN would be moving anywhere for the rest of the season.

    ReplyDelete
  30. So when they are usually announcing their mid-season schedule? Before Christmas?

    ReplyDelete
  31. True, but they didn't move SPN when it was paired with TO last season either despite a overpacked schedule-though TO wasn't near the hit Arrow or Flash

2nd week of December I believe. Last year it was December 12.

    ReplyDelete
  33. The cw should take a queue from abc with how they changed once upon a time's airing schedule.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I definitely see what you're saying, I just disagree with the idea that the CW wants to give iZombie a good lead in and a fair chance at success. obviously they'd love for it to be a hit, but they've always been really crappy with their midseason shows in terms of advertising/scheduling. they dont put nearly enough promotion into their midseason shows and make dumb scheduling choices because of availability (having Cult air after the least compatible series on the network - Hart of Dixie or having Star Crossed self start on one of the most competitive nights of the season). but IDK, i hope iZombie succeeds, i just can't imagine the CW making a smart decision with its scheduling, especially with all the shows they have that are doing so well

    ReplyDelete
  35. I'll never understand that. Check TV listings on tvguide.com, set your DVR, look at TV news sites. How can you comment on SpoilerTV.com and not know when your shows are on? The random breaks are annoying, but to act like we have no access to information on when those breaks will be is ludicrous.

    ReplyDelete
  36. That's what they should do, IMO. Wasting Flash on Supernatural is stupid and iZombie will be demolished if they try to premiere it on Thursdays.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I agree I think they should follow ABC, maybe instead of returning in January, they push it to at least February.

    ReplyDelete
  38. This perturbs me because the shows came back so late. Ah well.

    ReplyDelete
  39. One and half months damn it... Season break was bad enough.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Both TTP and The 100 started with good ratings after The 100. The 100 even beat Arrow during its premiere episode IIRC, so lead-ins do work for the CW and can provide good exposure to new shows. The shows themselves have to maintain their momentum to keep those ratings afterwards and sadly, that's where The 100 and TTP's next initial batch of episodes failed.

    ReplyDelete
  41. This week 2 shows started their season the week prior (TVD and Reign.) This is probably the reason why all shows start now at the same week.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I am glad that The 100 starts with Arrow, at the same time, and not a new show in that time slot. Starting so late did not do them any good in October. There are only 8 episodes left and I hope they make them count.

    ReplyDelete
  43. If we want "The 100" to get renewed, it's probably best that "The Messengers" and "I Zombie" not do that well. If they do, they're going to replace the lowest rated shows.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I actually truly hate the midseason break .......

    ReplyDelete
  45. Why is hart of dixie saids it will return dec 15 not jan 9?

    ReplyDelete
  46. The issue isn't when Arrow will return, but whether it's worth watching. Perhaps our intelligence has been unduly insulted here. It reminds me of the original Dallas. I was a fan until that idiotic "dream" season was forced upon us. After having my intelligence insulted like that, I never watched another episode. In a similar vein, Arrow is very close to losing me as a fan. This "cheap" way to try to keep me on the edge of my seat is really tending to drive me away. I really don't like being treated as a child, and this comes perilously close to doing that.

  47. This is what happened to Revolution. The ratings for season 2 weren't as good so they just cancelled it and it was the best show! I really hope this doesn't happen with the 100! People are actually rallying to get someone to pick up Revolution and continue cause it was so good. I hope the 100 does good when it finally comes back this month!

    ReplyDelete
  48. I dont get the scheduling on my shows. I waited for returns in January and now were in March and Im waiting again. What happen to 4-6 months on and 4-6 months off!?!?!
