Brooklyn Nine-Nine - Episode 2.06 - Jake and Sophia - A Baker's Dozen Non-Spoilery Teases

I’ve got a basket full of special Saturday teases to tide you over until Sunday night -- hopefully it’ll be enough Brooklyn Nine-Nine sustenance to help you get by.

- Jake’s dating situation takes a dramatic upturn and downturn.
- The Captain really perfects his “power move” in his office, as he continually tries to ignore his employees’ inane chatter about their problems.
- Sarge also has a power move that he offers to use on behalf of Jake.
- EVERYONE likes to be the little spoon -- even Carl the prosecutor confirms it.
- Amy gets pretty excited about a secret powwow, which encourages her to pursue a new responsibility in the precinct.
- “Writing things down is nerdy? What do you do?” “Just forget stuff like a cool person.”
- Boyle and Gina go through the usual post-relationship routine, including returning belongings, and one standard sitcom troupe that results in them both pulling overnight shifts.
- Jake does have at least one interest outside of work -- and it involves dipping sauce and lots of napkins.
- Amy knows her button makers -- and don’t try to bribe her with subpar ones.
- Two characters get creative with an off-screen Ping-Pong game that probably works better in one’s imagination than in reality.
- The person whom Hitchcock considers a best friend is a surprised to him/her -- and Scully.
- Jake makes a very mature, and due to that, surprising decision.
- There’s at least one new relationship that begins in this episode.

Come back tomorrow after the show for more discussion in the full review!  Until then, my Nine-Niners, until then.
