  1. You can't reboot supernatural ... it's impossible.
Lost maybe but it's not going to top the classic.
    Friends impossible too.

  2. I voted Xena and Lost cause they seem to be the more "rebootable" of the list. Also, how cool would be Xena on HBO?

  3. Why HBO? The above shows could be rebooted on any network.

  4. Space 1999 and Lost in the space :-P

  5. Because some people have it in their mind that cable>broadcast.

  6. It would be fudging bad ass! And Xena would get to bang women!

  7. Murder One (look it up, kids).

  8. And in my opinion other than maybe DH, being on broadcast was in the best interest of all those shows. And there's ONE Buffy episode I dislike, could you imagine if there'd been only 13 episodes a season. I shudder at the thought. And if an X-Files reboot happens and wasn't on FOX I'd want it to be on FX.

  10. Profit, that show deserves a remake. It was too early back then to have the hero being a villain ;)

  11. Why can't we upvote people twice?

  12. Have to say none of these, I would rather HBO continues to make original shows or adapt books that haven't been done before. Give me The Dark Tower, give me Locke and Key (both of which would work better as cable series than the planned movies).

  13. None. Sorry, but I don;t think any of the shows listed need a reboot or a remake.

  14. I think those shows have had their run and did amazing television, and then it ended, it should stay that way, but if I had to choose, I´d choose Friends, Buffy and Charmed, three of my all time favourite TV show, but like I said, I´m in no rush to see a reboot of them.

  15. None of these. If the ending is satisfactory then the show does not need to be rebooted or remade.I think what the question is actually asking is which show do you hope is remade after 10-20 years, ie- The Flash, Hawaii 5-0. Old fan favorites reborn and I really don't want to see any of my favorites reborn in 20 years.

  16. Ugh,i can't even respond to this poll..

  17. I vote Buffy, Charmed, and Lost ... but ... only as continuations no reboots.

  18. I see what the author meant by this poll, I think they choose HBO, because they meant a reboot/remake which isn't restricted by Violence, Nudity and language and where they have freedom to do anything with the show, thank a simple network TV. Still HBO isn't the only cable channel that can do this. Should of said any cable channel.

Xena Warrior Princess - with game of thrones, a Xena reboot would be fantastic on HBO. Although the later seasons of Xena were dark and violent as it was, but I fully expect Xena/Gabrielle to be canon on the show. Id much prefer a Xena/Hercules combined show, which can follow both there adventures instead maybe call the show legendary journeys.

  19. Agreed, the author of this poll, must of meant cable, and just picked HBO since it has more freedom to do anything with no network tv restrictions, I think..

  20. Buffy or Supernatural would be so kickass on HBO....if a reboot would even be possible to do. I've seen a few Buffy episodes here and there to know thats a modern classic, as is Supernatural (at least to me lol). However, I have always said that Supernatural would be so much more gory, scary, and realistic if it was on HBO. I mean, i'm pretty sure the Winchesters would swear like no other in real life lol, like in the Ghostfacers episode! There would be less censoring than there needs to be on the CW for sure!

  21. I thought they meant which HBO shows they wanted to see re-booted. If you re-boot X-Files on HBO it becomes Supernatural. Just a bad set up for a poll.

  22. Other: Freaks and Geeks. But with the same actors, all grown up. GO!!!

    ReplyDelete
  23. I'll do it on your behalf ;)

  24. The only one that would actually work is The X Files.

    ReplyDelete
  25. None. i don't like remakes.

  26. Unless "reboot" is using the same characters/actors and shifting the show 10-20 years into the future, you just can't with any of these. It's the actors playing the characters that made the shows. No one else could be Buffy. The Halliwell girls could not be redone by anyone else. Dean MUST be played by Jensen Ackles.

[I would LOVE to see any of these shows years down the line and pick up where their lives are "now"]

except LOST - the question is answered, unless it's a whole new crew going through it but then we already know the end.

  27. Honestly, none of 'em. But I would like them to reboot stuff that were really good back in the day, but never found an audience, or don't have DVDs of them available either. Like NBC's "I'll Fly Away". The subject matter is nuanced enough to be tweaked & molded for the present day audiences.

  28. Why would you reboot or remake any of these? They are all awesome the way they are. To reboot/remake is an insult to their memory or would be memory...

    ReplyDelete
  29. Can't really pick from the list but if I was asked it would be Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, FOX cut it way too soon.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I can see alot of swearing too and the gory and scary. I think the show would be a little more ensemble, or they will have more regulars from the beginning and split the focus with other hunters.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Just Seinfeld, with the original cast. They'll all be in their 80s in 20 years. I'd like some swearing, and Elaine still trying to get it on with Jerry. Kind of The Golden Girls and Boys.

  32. X-Files should get a second chance.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Ya,this whole poll needs a re-boot/re-make!

    ReplyDelete
  34. It depends on what we really mean here by "reboot" or "remake" I'm all for spinning off LOST in some way, but I would hate for it to be completely re-imaged.

    ReplyDelete
  35. How about none? I'm not interested in seeing any of my shows rebooted on HBO.

    ReplyDelete
  36. it would be the easiest to reboot as well.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I voted LOST, Buffy, and Supernatural. It would be cool to see sorta the same concept but with different characters and a different setting. Maybe instead of a tropical island, something like the Himalayan mountains. A Buffy reboot could be cool with having someone be the new slayer. The reboot should keep the show's sense of humor though. And Supernatural would be cool but I could always tell that they are under tight budget constraints. I want to see what the show would do with a Game of Thrones kind of budget.

  38. i wouldn't mind seeing some channel reboot X-files. It's a tv show i grew up on. As long as the people behind the reboot are talented and know what they are doing.
Also supernatural is a perfect show for reboot. They just need to find two charismatic actors. Two brothers on the road, new town each week, new short story to tell each episode and maybe next time they will keep away from all the angel, heaven, archangels God etc stuff. It killed the supernatural in my opinion.

  39. I hate remakes. I would like to see many of these shows continue with the original cast members, but that's very unlikely to happen. I vote for Buffy, but only because I think they'd be able to reboot the series with new characters (new slayer, new villains etc.).

    ReplyDelete
  40. I voted Buffy the Vampire Slayer Charmed and X-Files

    ReplyDelete
  41. Oh loved that one too, the first season was awesome!

  42. Hahah I thought the same! Did a double take when I saw Desperate Housewives and LOST O.o had to read the title twice >.<

    ReplyDelete
  43. I saw the FOX pilot of Locke & Key a couple years ago, and I LOVED it. I'd love to see a cable network develop it.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I'm not a fan of HBO but I am good with an X-Files, Buffy, or Xena reboot.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I would actually prefer them on a basic cable or network channel.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I have heard many great things about that pilot, was gutted when it wasn't picked up though I always thought it was probably too messed up to work on network TV.

    ReplyDelete
  47. They dont have to reboot it really, they can just have two new agents assigned to the x files with a new generation.

X-Files does seem like the easiest to reboot aswell, but I'm not so sure it will work at FOX a second time. I think a cable network would work better, but then we wont get monster of the week and just mythology, so it may bore me as I did enjoy it mixed with both mythology and monster of the week.
