  1. Well its impossible to vote just for 3.
    The walking dead
    The strain
    American horror story
    Sleepy Hollow
    Hannibal
    Haven.

  2. The Walking Dead, American Horror Story and Penny Dreadful.

  3. The walking Dead, American Horror Story and Hannibal.
Plus, The Strain and Sleepy Hollow!

P.S: Not in order of preference.

  4. Penny Dreadful by far!

Than Sleepy Hollow, Grimm and American Horror Story.

Best of all time would have been Twin Peaks.

  5. Penny Dreadful!!!!
    Hannibal (of course!)
Sleepy Hollow (nontheless I don't see it as horror, it's more fantasy for me)

Unfortunately to skip in order to keep the 3 votes:
    The Walking Dead
    Hemlock Grove
    The Strain

AHS is without competition in this case (and I'm still not very fond of the theme for the new season ... they picked exactly my darkest nightmare with the freakshow *shivers*)

Grimm is only a horror from the writing point of view anymore. I really wish someone would change that trainwreck in favour of Constantine (which would easily kick Sleepy Hollow from my third place)

  6. I personally wouldn't count some of these as horror, they are more supernatural (the genre not the show!)

I would vote for other: The Fades which only had 1 series with the lovely Fitz from AoS, it was a mix of Fantasy/Horror but was creepier than any show I've watched.

  7. Supernatural, Sleepy Hollow and Penny Dreadful

  8. Finally poll I watched almost every show from the list.
I don't consider all of them as horror shows, but if I were to choose, I'd pick Hannibal, Penny Dreadful and The Walking Dead.

  9. Yes, The Fades and another British series - Dead Set.

  10. IMO, Supernatural hasn't really been a "horror" show in a long time.

  11. Dead Set was great I forgot about that.

  12. TWD, Supernatural and Sleepy Hollow. Honourable mention to Penny Dreadful and Haven.

Penny Dreadful, The Strain & Dominion

  15. Certainly Sleepy Hollow, though I find nothing like "horror" in it

  16. This was a hard poll for me because when I researched "horror" shows, which I love, none of them seemed particularly like "horror" Other than Hemlock Grove and S1 of American Horror Story. Supernatural in it's early urban myth and legends would be the next closest for me. None of them scare me. That's what horror is supposed to do. I do love a dark and twisty drama.
American Horror Story is a joke to me. They seem more intent on gross out imagery than in actually telling a horror story. I roll my eyes at most of it. S1 Tate was a perfect horror villain in my eyes and nothing since has come close.

  17. On the list, Sleepy Hoolw, Grimm, and Dominion.

  18. Supernatural, Walking Dead, Z-Nation & Stalker.

  19. Supernatural is hardly a horror show

    ReplyDelete
  20. 1. Hannibal
    2. American Horror Story: Murder House
    3. Penny Dreadful

    ReplyDelete
  21. The Walking Dead, American Horror Story and Supernatural

    Supernatural !!! :D ♥

  23. I'm not a fan of horror, but I love Sleepy Hollow, and I enjoy Penny Dreadful as well.

  24. Of these shows the only ones I watch are Haven and Sleepy Hollow. The best horror show currently on television is the original French version of The Returned.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Dominion, Grimm, Sleepy Hollow, The Walking Dead, and Supernatural (Season 1-7). I watch Hannibal too, but it's not a favorite.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I agree it started to get less scary after Season 2. Now it's barely got any horror at all.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I picked Hannibal, Penny Dreadful & American Horror Show. I kinda figured The Walking Dead wouldn't need my vote but if I had a fourth vote that would be it.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Hannibal and The Walking Dead.

    ReplyDelete
  29. The Walking Dead, Supernatural and Dominion

  30. Only 3 .... So not fair! lol

    TWD, SH, AHS

    Haven
    Supernatural

    My Throw Back:
American Gothic ! Such a great show - so ahead of it's time - not given a chance to spread it's wings - even had Sarah Paulson as a ghost !

    ReplyDelete
  31. SPN, TWD. Also Grimm, Sleepy Hollow, Hannibal

    ReplyDelete
  32. I've only seen the pilot, and I almost sh*t my pant when the white thing broke the glass lol

    ReplyDelete
  33. Hannibal, The Walking Dead, and Penny Dreadful.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I don't think I could only choose 3 but I'd choose Hannibal, The Strain, and Penny Dreadful. (Although they're not necessarily the best, since I love all horror shows).

    ReplyDelete
  35. Hannibal
    Penny Dreadful
    The Walking Dead

    ReplyDelete
  36. As much recognition as Hannibal gets on this site and elsewhere, why don't the ratings reflect its popularity?

    ReplyDelete
  37. I loved, loved, LOVED American Gothic! "Someone's at the door." Gary Cole was awesome as Sheriff Lucas Buck! Such a good show and so ahead of its time.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Honestly, Supernatural never scared me, but its earlier seasons had much more "horror" than the later seasons.

  39. A lot of shows with lots of fans online don't have a lot of viewers overall. Hannibal isn't really a show for casual viewers - the lot that watch procedurals left and right. It's got horror elements but it also is more slow-paced. It's more based on weaving an artful story than just spitting out action. It takes very specific viewers to watch. Someone who can handle the freaky stuff and doesn't mind the slow pace.

  40. lol ....
    Sheriff Buck - that's Buck with a B !

    ReplyDelete
  41. I don't know if i would consider Haven a "Horror" show. I do love it and it has gotten darker but still not horror to me.

    ReplyDelete
  42. The Strain, Grimm and Sleepy Hollow.

I wouldn't file Haven as horror, despite the King connection. It seems more firmly Sci Fi.

    ReplyDelete
  43. TWD, SPN, Grimm. Also watching Penny Dreadful, Hannibal, Sleepy Hollow
