  1. I think they could have found a better shirt for Davina than that.

Isn't there supposed to be a sex scene in 2x07? I'm thinking it has to be Josh/Aiden or Koleb/Davina.

  2. I sure hope it's not Kaleb(Kol) Davina. That's just wrong on so many levels.

  3. so you DO think the relationship between kaleb and davina is gross then, because it's like it doesn't bother anyone that a 16-year-old is being romanced by a probably 18-21 year-old, and who the hell bit camille i hope in that picture klaus is looking for her and what the hell is finn doing with her

  4. hopefully it's klaus and camille

  5. I saw this synopsis of this episode , they will make a plan to take Vincent (finn) down by his weakness and i think that it is Cami. She will maybe pretend to be attacked or something and they will all trap him. It's gonna be good !!!
And i agree they should definitely give Davina a better wardrobe !

  6. how in the hell is camille finn's weakness

  7. i don't really know but in episode 6 , she will have scenes with him, so maybe we will see that he like her....

  8. Sage maybe, but not Cami.

  9. Davina is 17 (she was 16 at the time of the Harvest which was at least a year ago). That's the same age Caroline, Elena, Matt, Tyler, etc... all were when TVD started and nobody had a problem shipping 17 or 18-year old Elena with Damon (who is 25/150). Kol is younger than Klaus so him and Davina is less of an age gap than Klaus & Caroline or Elijah & Katherine (who was turned at 18) are.

  10. yeah i guess and cami DID call kaleb a kid in the new sneak peek so maybe he's not lincoln age from the 100

  11. exactly he's nothing but norman bates all he cares about is his mommy

  12. Kol is the youngest male Original regardless - so if people can ship Elijah & Klaus with women who are supposed to be 17 or 18 (like the girls on TVD are) I don't see why it would be an issue with Kol.

Finn is probably a year or so older than Elijah, Elijah looks to be about 4-5 years older than Klaus from the flashbacks to their childhood, and Kol is probably 2 or 3 years younger than Klaus.

  13. Kol has centuries of life experience, he's lying about his true identity, and he's inhabiting the body of an innocent person. In contrast, Davina is a socially inexperienced teenager. Kol's interest in Davina is downright predatory.

  14. She's going to find out he's Kol in 2x05 though, I think so she'll know who he really is.

  15. Even so, that doesn't negate the other stuff. Actually, if she knows he's Kol and that he's inhabiting some poor shmuck's body and they still have sex then she's just as nasty and wrong as he is.

  16. Since it sounds like Kol will never get his own body back and he'll be stuck in Daniel forever I don't think they'll keep him celibate forever.

    ReplyDelete
  17. That just makes everything worse. He'll not just be stealing a body, he'll be taking a life. This is yet another reason Kol needs to go and all this body-swapping crap needs to stop. It's disgusting.

  18. More Davina using, great. Sigh. Cami, wth?

  19. joy another cami in peril moment

    Why wrong?

While I am not a fan of Davina's, I do think that they are cute together....young love and all that.

Davina dresses tooo old for her age. It is very matronly.

    I'm with you.

  24. I go into detail about this with Sara below but I'll try to sum up why this is horrible:

Davina is a socially and sexually inexperienced teen with a crush. Kol, on the other hand, is a man with centuries of life experience who is currently lying about his true identity and his motives all while inhabiting the body of an innocent victim. This situation is predatory and disgusting.

If there comes a time when Kaleb is actually Kaleb again and not just a hijacked meat-suit being worn by a centuries-old Mikaelson then I'll be okay with this. As long as Kol is in there, any sort of physical relationship with Davina is just plain wrong.

I totallly agree. The older man and young impressionable female, has been done to death in Hollywood. In fact, using my feminist hat....it's actually quite problematic. As we are not seeing, the vamps on the show trying to have relationships with older women, say folks closer to their age. Which IMO could be quite beautiful.

However, I think the writers have, with the whole body switching....they have tried to reconcile this. Admittedly poorly. But it's better then what they have previously done.

Yeah, I am not sure...your analysis puts all romantic relationships on the show in question...as it can be used for every character and all relationships. That being said, if we look to the vampire as being a symbol, I think a clearer understanding of how this is possible may come to light.

This is definitely worth more thought and more discussion, as I think that it is more complex when looking at it from the symbolic angle.

  26. Kol definitely needs to leave the Originals for taking a life. Because this doesn't happen episode by episode.

  27. Trying to build a love story with a male character on the back of what would amount to the sexual assault of one and possibly two people is a detestable idea and a good sign it's time for him to go.

So, is this going to be a thing now? I post a criticism of Kol, how they write him, and the content of his storyline and you post hollow, passive aggressive replies to what I write? If so, thanks but no thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Not really. I understand if that was the case but you're jumping to conclusions. All we've seen so far is that Kol is tricking Davina, not that he has genuine sexual intentions with the girl. And the synopsis points to her finding out he's really Kol in tonight's episode, so it's likely that these caps are a) taken out of context or b) she has no problem getting close to 'Kol' (I still do find it weird that he's in somebody else's body).

My problem is I always see you picking on Kol but there's never anything constructive about it. I don't see your distaste for the character when, imo, those who were resurrected are the only people keeping this season entertaining. It just seems like you hate him for doing what everyone else does.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I am not "picking on" anyone. That suggests I'm somehow teasing or bullying Kol which is definitely not true for two very glaring reasons:

    1. My criticism is based on content and character history and is in no way mocking in tone.
    2. Kol isn't real. You can't pick on someone who doesn't exist.

Regardless of whether or not Kol has any actual romantic/sexual intentions toward Davina, that's the way The Originals is framing the story especially on Davina's end.

The facts are that Kol is lying to and manipulating Davina just like the other Mikaelsons which is the entire reason she considers Klaus and Elijah her enemies. Kol's actions make him no different than his brothers in that regard and it's made worse by the fact that he's doing it while wearing someone esle as a suit.

The only positive in Kol's column as a character is the fact that he turned out to be right regarding Silas. Nothing positive before or since can be said about the character, from my perspective.

My criticism of Kol is just that. Criticism. Having a negative opinion and discussing that opinion with others doesn't amount to picking on anyone and, in Kol's case, I think that criticism is well deserved. He's a poorly conceived character and those poor conceptions seem to multiply every time the character returns.

  30. I agree but isn't pretty much EVERY romantic relationship on this show questionable?
Klaus and Hayley is abuse at it's best. Elijah and Hayley is just toxic as she treats him like a rug. Marcel and Cami is only based on sex. Cami and Klaus started out with him erasing her memory again and again basically robbing her of her free will. And so on and on

    ReplyDelete
  31. Everyone (and I mean everyone) on this show makes questionable decisions but the guy Kol is wearing as a suit wasn't given that opportunity.
