  7. Not going to get into that argument I have my own views. What would be nice is if Sam was at the centre of his own pov whether Dean and the writers are pulling a fast one or not.

  8. Great clip and I think Dean can't be cured because of the fact Cain is a demon. Dean would need to kill to keep the mark or else he would die since he can't handle the mark without being a demon which Crowley said in Do you Believe in Miracles. And Crowley has the blade reason he has it and he won't get rid of it why to get his bestie back. Only problem is how to figure out is how to control dean. JMO

  14. I'd go with the idea that the demon is gone but the MOC is still there but it's killing human Dean. Hence a secret he is keeping.

  15. one I've seen pop up a few times, I just dont see why he would need to do it. That doesnt seem to be where this is going based on all the interviews. It seems more of an arc about Dean struggling with the MOC and trying to control the urge to kill than a plot to trick his brother for no reason other than maybe because it would be cruel.


    The spoiler I've just read would indicate that its about the emotional and physical struggle with the MOC for Dean. But the ultimate goal of the season isnt about tricking anyone unless the tricking is done in order to ditch the MOC on someone else?

  19. There was absolutely no setup in Soul Survivor to indicate that DDean is still there, so I don't know where that hope comes from. Accordingly, according to JA it appears that we are back to S9 Dean, as far as the MoC is concerned.
    As far as Paper Moon, this is a character I would have been happy never to see again. Given that the Winchesters are taking another 'inner journey' again this year and they both were turned into monsters the first three episodes, I can see a story about a sympathetic monster played by a cute little Barbie type that mirrors both of them. One thing revealing in the sneak peak is that I can see Dean that Dean is back to his old self by the haircut he has.

  22. The show as always been seen through Dean's pov so throwing up numbers means nothing. And we most certainly did not get Sam's pov last season so like I said it is not a argument I am going to get into.

  24. I don't think that's it at all. I didn't watch the clip, but Paradise Heat asked a legitimate question to ask: Why would DD hide that he was still a demon? Asking that question has nothing to do w/wanting Jensen to have an arc.

    The fact is the DD arc was ridiculously short, poorly written (IMO), and ultimately a waste of time. I would have preferred it if the arc were longer (at least half a season) and if DD had been more lethal b/c that would have made "Dean's" return more satisfactory but we got what we got.

    From what I'm hearing, DD was never meant to last past episode 3. Why they wanted it to be so short we'll never know? But b/c it was so ridiculously and pointlessly short, I am left wondering what was the point of Dean being a demon in the first place.

  25. but everyone knows he still has the MOC, if he's hiding something then my guess would be that he was more in control/human of himself during his stint as demon than Cas/Sam know and that it was him who was trying to kill Sam. Why fans want Dean to have a secret every season is beyond me, secrets just lead to tension between the brothers. Sam keeping secrets gets him nothing but abuse on the show and from fans so why Dean fans want that for Dean I dont know?

  26. I can only assume to give him something to angst about, plus it did use up 3 episodes of the season. Now they have the rest of the season to have him angst over that and the whole MOC story line too.

  27. the MOC is an arc so he still has that, Carver's 3 year arc has been leading to Dean getting the MOC/having the MOC (inc the demon side affect)/getting rid of the MOC.

  28. Umm.. Cas would be able to tell if Dean were still a demon..cause angels can see demons. Plus if Dean were still a demon the holy water would have burned him. He's human now. That doesn't mean the mark of Cain isn't going to be a big problem.. maybe a bigger one
    than begin a demon because now he's human. The aggression and the need to kill the mark causes is more problematic with him human, he's got feelings now, a conscience. He just did a lot of bad crap, a lot of it to his own baby brother. There's going to be fallout from that. Fallout for Sam too because of what he DID to find Dean. (Which I personally didn't find all that horrible. Lester was a dick) Don't worry people, Dean's arc is not over. This season will still have focus on what's happening to him. I'm thinking it'll be similar to season 3, this thing has happened to Dean and Sam is working to save him. This season will be about BOTH boys...the creators have said that. Dean got the honor of kicking it off ;) Not going to get into character arguments either. I love both characters and find each season has its merits as well as its flaws. I just want the boys together and in a good place in their brotherly relationship. I'm happy Dean is back to normal..because that's the way I love Dean. He's a hero, he doesn't deserve to be a demon any more than Sam deserved to have demon blood forced into him as a baby.

  30. I guess. I think it would have been more interesting to see DD going crazy and doing more interesting things than hanging out in bars and singing, but that's just me.

    I didn't care for the way the MOC was handled last year either, so I'm not looking forward to a return to that. I thought it was way too subtle. Hopefully, it will be better this year.
