"One way or another I'm gonna find you
I'm gonna get you
One way or another I'm gonna win you
I'm gonna get you, get you
One way or another I'm gonna see you
I'm gonna meet you
One day, maybe next week
I'm gonna meet you, I'm gonna meet you"
- One Way or Another

So that Staker episode was pretty much the scariest Halloween episode of this year. It involved a house that was supposedly haunted by ghosts. Multiple times did the episode freak me out, something that Stalker in general does every week.

The stalker case of week involves a girl named Laurie. While shopping with her roommate Annie, she is attacked by a clown. She quickly suspects her ex-boyfriend and the TAU indeed finds evidence linking him to the clown incident. The case seems closed even though Laurie is unwilling to press charges against the two. But then that night, Laurie hears someone sneaking in the house and the two girls find the text 'Get out' written on the wall. As the TAU investigates the threat, they learn of the legend of the haunted house. A couple that lived there killed themselves because the husband was cheating and now they are still floating around in the house. A previous occupant of the house also heard sounds and is now totally into some weird occult stuff. When the girls throw a Halloween party, Laurie is kidnapped. As Beth and Jack search the house, Janice and Ben find out that the husband from the legend never died so they deduce that he has an obsession with the house. Beth and Jack find a hidden room where they find Laurie and, after a struggle, arrest the husband.

Also, Perry learns that Beth's real name is Michelle Webber. When he runs into her at the girls' party, he whispers Michelle which makes Beth scared when she thinks the hears her real name. Perry later finds an old newspaper article that reveals Michelle's backstory: she was the only survivor of a fire that killed her parents, her sister and the house dog. This fire was not an accident as the article states that arson is suspected. We don't know who was the arsonist or if Beth already knows, but we do see her calling Seattle psychiatric hospital to confirm whether patient 5679 is still in custody. This is confirmed, and Beth is also told he hasn't received any visitors recently.

Elsehwere in the hour, Jack makes the first contact with his son when he saves him from some boys who want to steal his Halloween candy. Things between Jack and Janice are a little awkward during the hour but in the end, Janice realises that all Jack needs is a friend.

As I wrote, I found this a very creepy episode. It was very fitting for a Halloween episode. I must say that I wasn't a big fan of the ghost/occult stuff as I find that very weird. They should just keep things grounded. I also liked that we learned a whole lot about Beth/Michelle and I'm looking forward to further exploring that story. And for once, Ben wasn't a total douchebag to Jack, which was quite refreshing.

What did you think of this episode? Did it freak you out like it did with me? How do you feel about Beth's backstory? And what are your theories as to what happened at the fire? Sound off in the comments below!

  3. Usually stuff like this doesn't freak me out but this episode did. The creepiness factor was really well done. Best episode yet,
