Ratings Breakdown:
The season-premiere of CBS’ regularly scheduled Thursday night line-up led the evening, besting No. 2 ABC by 13 percent in the household overnights. Comparably, while the Eye net did increase by 13 percent from its year-ago overnight average, it was 26 percent below the average for opening night Thursday last season (9.2 rating/15 share on 9/26/13). And the final “Thursday Night Football” match-up last week (San Diego Chargers vs. Denver Broncos) was considerably stronger overall with a 10.6/17 in the overnights.
At 8 p.m. on CBS, “The Big Bang Theory” moved back to the night with an 11.0 rating/18 share in the household overnights, which topped the evening and beat its most recent Monday 8 p.m. outing (10.2/16 on Oct. 20) by eight percent. At 8:30 p.m., the sophomore season-premiere of relocated “Mom” returned with a dominant 7.0/11, which was 27 percent above the 5.5/ 8 for its series-debut out of “2 Broke Girls” on Monday 9/23/13. Comparably, however, retention for “Mom” out of “The Big Bang Theory” was not impressive at 64 percent.
Keep in mind that ABC’s regularly scheduled “Grey’s Anatomy” from 8-9 p.m. last night was preempted for another airing of animated special “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” (#2t, 3.9/ 6), which always manages to generate some interest in the key demos.
Next on CBS was the 12th (and final) season premiere of “Two and a Half Men” at a 6.6/10 (#2) at 9 p.m., which was 27 percent above failed year-ago occupant “The Crazy Ones” (5.2/ 9 on 10/31/13). In series-premiere news, “The McCarthys,” headlined by Tyler Ritter and former “Roseanne” star Laurie Metcalf, opened with a 5.5/ 9 (#2) at 9:30 p.m., which held a very respectable 83 percent of the “Two and a Half Men” lead-in. And “The McCarthys” beat a repeat of “The Big Bang Theory” in the time period one year earlier (5.2/ 9 on 10/31/13) by six percent. Consider this positive sampling for “The McCarthys.”
In other season-premiere news, CBS drama “Elementary” returned for season three with a second-place 5.2/ 9 in the overnights at 10 p.m., which trailed competing “How To Get Away With Murder” on ABC (#1: 6.7/11) by 22 percent. One year earlier, “Elementary” scored a 6.0/10 in the overnights (opposite a 6.8/12 for “Scandal” on ABC).
Also on ABC last night was relocated “Scandal” at a first-place 7.2/11 from 9-10 p.m., which was on par from last week.
Elsewhere, the results were minimal. Veteran “Bones” on Fox scored a 3.9/ 6 in the 8 p.m. hour (#2t), leading into episode five of failing “Gracepoint” at a 2.2/ 3 from 9-10 p.m. (#4). Comparably, that 2.2/ 3 was flat from one week earlier.
NBC’s already limited recent 9-10 p.m. sitcoms took a hit opposite the CBS chucklers, with “Bad Judge” at a 2.7/ 4 at 9 p.m. (#4) and “A To Z” at a 1.8/ 3 (#4) at 9:30 p.m. Both were series lows. Earlier in the evening was diluted “The Big Loser” at a 2.9/ 5 from 8-9 p.m. (#4), which was actually one-tenth of a rating point (or four percent) above the 2.8/ 5 one week earlier. And soon-to-conclude “Parenthood” capped off the night for the Peacock net with a 2.6/ 4 at 10 p.m., which was equal to the year-ago evening.
Over at The CW, once dependable “The Vampire Diaries” has sprung a leak, with a 1.3/ 2 at 8 p.m. down by 13 percent and 19 percent, respectably, from one week earlier (1.5/ 2 on Oct. 23) and the year-ago evening (1.6/ 3 on 10/31/13). And sophomore “Reign” followed with a 0.9/ 1 at 9 p.m. (#5), which dipped by 25 percent from one year earlier (1.2/ 2 on 10/31/13).

From the HH, it looks as if Scandal was largely unaffected by the returning competition plus a lack of Grey's lead-in. Let's see how that translates into the demo, though.
ReplyDeleteI really hope TVD stays stable at 0.8 this week!
ReplyDeleteIs that a series low in HH numbers for TVD and Reign?
ReplyDeleteElementary has two things going for it (other than certain renewal): 1) that Murder will be gone shortly and 2) it will run nearly repeat free for this season. I expect it to pick up steam. If only CBS would move Scorpion to Thursday at 9/8 - I'm still assuming TBL stays put on Mondays after SoA bombs.
ReplyDeleteI hope Mom at least hits 3.0.
ReplyDeleteA to Z's ratings make me sad every week because the show is so good.
I really hope Mom got a least a 3.0. Scandal did pretty good considering it had CBS comedies as competition and Charlie Brown as a lead in.
ReplyDeletedid guys see the new show the mccarthys...its pretty funny
ReplyDelete1. Why do you think SOA bombs?
ReplyDelete2. I've gone back and forth about whether TB will actually move to Thursdays, and I think NBC's reluctance to move it right away shows they were worried, too--about the move in general and about Scandal. I think it can compete there, though.(It'd be nice if NBC ran a marathon of it during the holiday lull, considering it was off the air for most of the summer.)
3. They have plenty of dra
honestly TVD should go up yesterday episode was AMAZING!
ReplyDeleteQuality of an episode does not equate to high ratings.
ReplyDeleteThe McCarthys will go the way of The Crazy Ones & Bad Teacher. Odd Couple will likely replace it.
ReplyDeletehope not
ReplyDelete"2. I think it can compete there, though.(It'd be nice if NBC ran a marathon of it during the holiday lull, considering it was off the air for most of the summer.)"
ReplyDeleteThey waited to move TBL not because they were worried but because of one special thing: Super Bowl. They're seeing if it can pull another Grey's Anatomy.
It was OK-ish. Laurie Matcalf is the saving grace of the show.
ReplyDeletehope so i couldnt stop laughing...Mom rocks!
ReplyDeleteshe was pretty funny...that last part was just beyond hilarious
ReplyDeleteI think that show will be there for a while, even if it's slow to gain TBBT's audience. Maybe TOC or even M&M takes over the slot later in the season, but I don't expect CBS to move TM back behind TBBT.
ReplyDeleteAs one critic said yesterday, she's a pro's pro. But even those types of people can be in weak shows.
ReplyDeleteIt was pretty average.
ReplyDeleteMost probably.
ReplyDeleteI really hope that HH rating doesn't mean Bones fell a lot.
ReplyDeleteWell, I am sure that was a factor, but I wouldn't be surprised if they were worried Scandal would climb even higher and they'd sacrifice a hit. Oddly enough, the last time NBC was set to put an hour-long show in this slot, Sorkin's Studio 60, they announced their schedule on Monday, and ABC announced GA was moving later in the week. NBC blinked and moved Studio 60...to Monday at 10:00.
ReplyDeleteBut anyway, waiting before making the move allowed them to have more time in case they needed to adjust. As it happens, Scandal is still doing well, but its climb might be over.
They have 22 episodes of Mike & Molly waiting. It might beat The Odd Couple there
ReplyDeleteBecause SOA is a Scandal derivative and political dramas rarely succeed. IDC what CBS says but MS is a demo flop. Plus, Castle and LA are probably more of threat again SOA than TBL, which is far more unique.
ReplyDeleteWhat other dramas does NBC have? Shoot even the Chicago dramas are only pulling mid-to high 1s. Parenthood is flop/ending, Laura is a demo joke, SVU is holding that spot. And they tried moving Grimm twice
Scandal would have to stop climbing somehow.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I doubt NBC will blink regardless of Scandal grows or not.
Crossing my fingers for Mom to pull at least a 3.0 in the demo or some very high 2s. That show deserves it.
ReplyDeletePredictions for Scandal's numbers?
ReplyDeleteNBC would be happy if The Blacklist scores 2.0s on Thursday. They're barometer for success is pretty low which makes the Blacklist' move to Thursday a win no matter how it turns out.
ReplyDeleteI hope TVD get even a 0.9 this week! Last night's episode was amazing!
ReplyDeleteLast night's episode was the best one this season in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteI think they are praying everyday for God that TBL will be able to do at least low and mid 2s.
ReplyDeleteCurrently watching.
ReplyDeleteI would guess a 2.9 based on the lower (and less compatible lead-in) and the increased competition.
ReplyDeleteThe Vampire Diaries is finally back to its old self!
ReplyDeleteMS probably wasn't designed to be a demo hit. It was designed to pull in the sort of wealthy, educated (and likely female) audience that TGW gets. The last time I checked, it was doing just that, and it's not doing THAT much worse than all of the other CBS dramas, so it's a qualified success so far.
ReplyDeleteCF isn't TWD, but it usually wins its timeslot and comes in second to Sons. CPD is still pretty new, and maybe it'll grow some with time. Laura isn't a demo smash, sure, but it does well in total viewers, and that is still valuable to some degree. SVU works, still, although it's time to end it. Grimm works for Fridays, and yes, they tried it on other nights, but only for brief periods, which I don't think says much. But realty, what does this matter to SOA?
It is unlikely that the blacklist can do mid 2s when that's what it is doing now with the voice lead-in.
ReplyDeleteIt is starting to look like it might have leveled off.
ReplyDeleteTHIS!
ReplyDeleteI'm assuming some of the audience will migrate with it to an hour with an higher viewership levels which might offset the lack of a Voice lead-in (and SB might of any assistance).
ReplyDeleteBasically agreed. it'd be nice if the show could still grow--although as I said, NBC didn't do itself any favors by taking the show off the air (or very close to it) for so many months--but if it can stabilized Thursdays, it'll be a big deal.
ReplyDeleteFox air repeats last year? +55%
ReplyDeleteMetcalf is great but I couldn't even make it through the 1st episode of McCarthy's. the 2nd season of her HBO series "Getting On" starts in a few weeks and it's impossibly better, one of my favorite new comedies last year.
ReplyDeleteProbably. It would have to level off anyway.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely especially when Olivia and Abby screamed at Fitz and Cyrus, respectively!
ReplyDeleteNot unlikely. Harder, perhaps, but the show looks to have found a floor around 2.4. Maybe it drops a little, but maybe it doesn't. I think there's a certain demo audience that tunes into something almost regardless, and that needs to be factored in.
ReplyDeleteI will wait until the end of the season to see, because, as with daily ups and downs in the stock market, I try not to judge these things on a weekly basis.
ReplyDeleteYou'll love it.
ReplyDeleteHonestly even if it averaged 1.8 through the spring I'm pretty sure it would still be NBC's #1 scripted show by May.
ReplyDeleteI don't think that predicting Scandal's growth has stopped is something that can't be said right now.
ReplyDeleteThe shows that truly have been a baseline audience that is equal to the audience that is watching the show, especially after such a big lead-in, are very very few and thus extremely rare. It is possible that what you are saying it is true but it is highly unlikely.
ReplyDeleteNBC is really hyping up the fall finale, though, just in time for November sweeps.
ReplyDeleteIf it's left on a major cliffhanger, anticipation will build and ratings should be big for its first Thursday.
Yes. They were expecting to have another World Series game from what I remember so they didn't have programming. Therefore they aired repeats of the already low rated X-Factor and Glee which of course performed horribly. The X-Factor did a 0.77 and Glee a 0.60. The irony is that Gracepoint may not be that far from Glee's number, though Bones should have no trouble doubling up that ugly X-Factor's number.
ReplyDeleteIf it goes on a high 1s diet on the spring without the occasional 2s in the mix, then Chicago Fire would be a legitimate competitor for that title (considering spring episodes only of course)
ReplyDeleteCBS lineup looks very healthy, but I have low expectations for Elementary ratings; doesn't matter of course, the show is on its 3rd season and has the best syndication package I've ever seen
ReplyDelete$3 million for each episode? CBS will do anything it needs to do to get Elementary to syndication.
ReplyDeleteIf GA was on I think ABC had a good shot of beating/tying CBS for the night overall
ReplyDeleteI think so too, assuming Grey's wouldn't fall much against TBBT.
ReplyDeleteYup, Scandal should be in the 2.9 vicinity or even the 3.0 vicinity.
ReplyDeleteOuch for CBS comedies, those TOP 25 looks bad
ReplyDeleteScandal and HTGAWM did decent
Now, that top 25 for Mom looks scary bad.
ReplyDeleteyup and HTGAWM should do 2.7-2.8ish
ReplyDeleteABC should increase more next week I thin
I also suspect the spring season premiere will be something of a reboot for the show, kind of like they did with Alias a few times. The procedural elements will be scaled back a little, and the show will become a little more serialized.
ReplyDeleteI really think that ABC could get the evening if it had aired Grey's in the hour. Although let's wait to see what the fast nationals say.
ReplyDeleteTBBT actually did well though.
ReplyDeleteTVD will most probably score 0.8 and reign 0.4,damn it!
ReplyDeleteTBBT was never supposed to do badly.
ReplyDeleteagreed but I think it was smart move
ReplyDeleteLet some of the premiere hype for CBS finish and then put Grey's back
a 2.3 is bad?
ReplyDeleteI really agree.
ReplyDeleteGiven the lead-in? Yes.
ReplyDeleteout of big lead in yes
ReplyDeleteAh I see. Thanks! This is great for the PR department. Easy to spin. :D Btw, looks like Gracepoint rises while Bones dips.
ReplyDeleteI won't be surprised if Mom doesn't do that well. They didn't do Mom any favors delaying its return last minute.
ReplyDeleteBut you would imagine that TBBT would have given it a big push. Guess not.
ReplyDeleteWell, TWD keeps growing each season, overall, as does TBBT. Not all shows are like them, but there were a few network shows that have grown from season to season, aside from TBBT. CF and Scandal were among them.
ReplyDeleteNot to beat a dead horse here, but to take another critic's suggestion as well as my own, I think ABC could run a marathon of all Scandal episodes during the winter lull. The show is a legitimate star for the network, and there are a lot of people that still haven't seen it. Might be worth a shot to see if it can bring in new viewers, as I doubt it'll do much worse than anything else they put on.
I love Mom but if it is gets that type of retention is bad.
ReplyDeleteScandal and Murder don't appear "decent", they appear great, especially Scandal
ReplyDeleteScandal looks very high. Sadly, Mom looks low.
ReplyDeleteTBBT hasn't grown all season. It decreased 4% and is losing 9% this season, as per Spotted ratings.
ReplyDeleteScandal grew 40% from its first season ratings. That's massive. I don't think you could expect more growth after such a jump.
Isn't Scandal still airing on BET? Maybe ABC will convince them do another marathon during the winter status but let's see what happens.
It seems like the sort of show that could run forever, on any type of channel, at any point...kind of like Law & Order and CSI. There's a lot of value there.
ReplyDeletetrue great is better word lol given greys absence and more competition
ReplyDeleteTo be honest, I loved the show and I expect it to fall more than it already has.
ReplyDeletewhat do you mean, you thought it would do worst last night?
ReplyDeleteYes, I did. I saw a 2.7 as a definite possibility.
ReplyDeleteWhat's the saying? Pray for the best, hope for the worse?
The season is still young, and TBBT has a lot of episodes left. As I said before, I try to wait to see how these things shake out.
ReplyDeleteScandal's growth has been big, but it was starting from a lower base. And it's not pulling demo numbers like TWD. To me, this means it's not at what I would consider an absolute ceiling.
You're comparing something on cable and broadcast. That's absolutely incomparable.
ReplyDeleteexpect the worst, not hope for it haha
ReplyDeleteThat, expect the worst. Sorry! ahah
ReplyDeleteHe said ouch for CBS comedies and thought he implied TBBT did horrible. TBBT was the only one that stood out on CBS last night.
ReplyDeleteNo, I think he meant 'ouch for CBS comedies' as in what followed. Because TBBT still looks like the healthiest possible show out there.
ReplyDeleteYes, I loved it and it definitely looks like as if Scandal is getting it's mojo back.
ReplyDeleteI meant what follow TBBT- TBBT did the best of the night
ReplyDeletemee to , TVD is the best
ReplyDeleteAs one would expect.
ReplyDeleteWhy is it incomparable? AMC isn't HBO and shows commercials like the regular broadcast networks do. I understand cable has far less original programming each week, but so what?
ReplyDeleteAnd at any rate, the point wasn't to say cable and the regular networks are the same. It's just that TWD is a beast and has huge demo numbers. After a certain point, it seems like any show can't grow any longer. Approaching a 7.0-8.0 in the demo .
I don't it would it has a very dedicated fan base
ReplyDeleteits finale ended with a 1.9 so it would be really hard for the show to jump to 3 but I hope it does good
ReplyDeleteI thought Mom looked ok
ReplyDeletea 2.3 isn't bad but given that TBBT did a 4.7 in Top 25 it should have done high 2s low 3s
ReplyDeleteThanks for clarifying, my friend. Have a good day! :)
ReplyDeleteHoping for a 1.0 and a 0.5
ReplyDeleteI agree. I'm just adding perspective for people that think: if The Blacklist doesn't beat Scandal it's a failure.
ReplyDeleteIt's far from a failure even of it rates in the high 1s. Anything is a win for NBC considering how badly their scripted programs are doing.
One to replace The Millers and one to replace The McCarthys?
ReplyDeleteBased on the top 25, that's super low for Mom.
ReplyDeleteYeah, that was my favorite part of the episode.
ReplyDelete2.3 among the top 25, that doesn't look good.
ReplyDelete2.3 following high 4s is bad.
ReplyDeleteIt's bad.
ReplyDeleteIt already covers the whole cost of an episode! Add the ad rates and you have an incredible winner no matter how it rates
ReplyDeleteIn the top 25 market,it got 0.9,how can u expect 1.0 in avg.?
ReplyDeleteElementary is probably one of the most sure renewals across any network this season.
ReplyDeleteI'm expecting the whole CBS line up to go up when the ratings come up, but woah! Those early top 25 market ratings look dreadful for everything not called TBBT!
ReplyDeleteI imagine you're talking about CBS' line-up, right?
ReplyDeleteAlmost as bad as The Millers if it keeps that rating
ReplyDeleteyeah, pressed the space key by accident
ReplyDeleteVD 0.7, Reign 0.5
ReplyDeleteBBT 4.1, Mom 2.7, 2 and a half men 2.7 MCCarthys 1.9, Elementary 1.4
Bones 1.3,
Scandal 3.0, HTGAWM 2.7
because numbers can either change upwards or downwards. Though in CW's case it most likely is downwards.
ReplyDeleteWow at Scandal maintaining that 3.0 despite the added competition and no Grey's. Where you got the numbers from?
ReplyDeletehttp://www.showbuzzdaily.com/articles/the-sked-thursday-ratings-10-30-2014.html
ReplyDeleteYES to mom ouch to TVD
ReplyDeleteThat's oddly low for TBBT, I thought it would be higher
ReplyDeleteDouble wow @ Scandal matching TBBT in 18-34. A beast of a show.
ReplyDeleteOuch for TVD. Good for Reign and Mom.
ReplyDeleteWoah at TBBT being in low 4s. Mom now looks pretty good.
ReplyDelete65% retention. Not too shabby, but not outstanding either
ReplyDeleteTBBT is much lower that I'd expect. Mom lost a decent amount of TBBT but still tied 3rd highest demo - and 2.7 doesn't look so bad with the TBBT drop.
ReplyDeleteIs it possible that many people weren't aware that it's going back to Thursdays?
ReplyDeleteDo you know what's not too shabby? Scandal matching TBBT in 18-34.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, that is impressive
ReplyDeleteI am wondering what affect GA will have next week
ReplyDeleteVery happily surprised at Scandal maintaining it's numbers regardless of Grey's lead-in or not. Clearly, it's not lead-in dependent.

And ABC wins the first Thursday of the season with all normal programming. With no Grey's. TGIT is surely incredible.
ReplyDeleteTBBT numbers are still huge for every network, but it has to be worriesome how fast it has dropped. Hope it doesn't carry on and that it can bounce back to mid 4s.
ReplyDeleteMom did OK considering TBBT was oddly lower. 2.5 men did a great job retaining Mom's audience.
Mike & Molly will probably take The McCarthy's timeslot; if not, then The Millers
Ouch at A to Z. I really hope it can get the 13 episode in and doesn't get pulled.
ReplyDeleteHTGAWM falls but a 2.7 is still awesome. Love the show and scandal 3.0 in season 4 is Incredible. Will watch both tonight.
ReplyDeleteI see HTGAWM adjusting up, tbh.
ReplyDelete18-34 ratings per showbuzzdaily:
ReplyDeleteCBS:
TBBT: 2.6
Mom: 1.6
2.5 Men: 1.5
The McCarthys: 1.1
Elementary: 0.9
ABC:
Charlie Brown: 1.2
Scandal: 2.6
Murder: 2.3
FOX:
Bones: 1.0
Gracepoint: 0.5
NBC:
TBL: 0.7
Bad Judge: 0.5
A to Z: 0.4
Parenthood: 0.7
CW:
TVD: 0.8
Reign: 0.5
Also, can I laugh at the difference in skew in both W18-49 and M18-49 when it comes to Scandal and HTGAWM?
ReplyDeleteW18-49 has a 13 in skew.
Males? A 4.
it got 0.7!
ReplyDelete- Mom did well considering that TBBT underperformed a bit to expectations. 66% for a post Big Bang comedy is very solid, even if I would have liked it in the 3s. Two and a Half Men also did very well, but I have been expecting that to happen with its final season for the whole summer, especially considering the 9pm placement again. The McHarthys did the exact number I had predicted which doesn't happen very often and Elementary predictably bombed as expected.
ReplyDelete- Scandal did amazingly, it truly is a beast. GA's absence wasn't felt at all and neither was the increased competition. Murder also continues to do incredibly well. ABC will probably win the night when GA returns especially if CBS goes down a bit post premiere.
- Reign around the 0.5 mark is good, but I was expecting TVD to do a bit higher without GA on the slot.
- Elsewhere, FOX and NBC did awfully, even Bones falling 0.4 from its last airing.
Yikes at NBC
ReplyDeleteIt has already won the night.
ReplyDeleteScandal is unbeatable
ReplyDeleteTBBT theory beat it easily ;)
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize. Wow
ReplyDeleteI think he meant drama-wise and in the hour. Or something of the sorts?
ReplyDeleteyup :)
ReplyDeleteThe difference might be marginal but is still a huge feat for TGIT (that isn't even compatible).
ReplyDeleteMcCarthys :)
ReplyDeleteBig Bang did well, but it was even higher last year. Mom did well, I feel like they should keep it there instead of move it back to Monday. And was The McCarthy's as bad as reviews said it would be?
ReplyDeleteIt looks pretty dreadful. They are being patient until The Blacklist comes in there and saves the night... if it doesn't totally crash against Scandal, but I don't think it will
ReplyDeletei really enjoyed the mccarthys
ReplyDeleteConsidering that last year TBBT scored regularly 5s it is worriesome that it premiered so low on Thursdays; it's still the top broadcast show, but the slippage is somewhat worriesome
ReplyDeleteAhah sorry. I keep forgetting. But the other day I wrote about it in TVBTN and I remembered you and came back to correct it.
ReplyDeleteYes I agree. It's an even bigger feat since GA wasn't on!
ReplyDeletePerhaps it wasn't common knowledge that it would once again return to Thursdays? I think the move might have taken a dent out of the beast.
ReplyDeleteABC must have cracked open the champagne and drank themselves to the hospital at the prospects!
ReplyDeleteOuch VD @ 0.7,That's lower than Arrow & SPN.Its fourth on the network as usual this season.Reign got 0.5 goog, hope it stays.VD@0.7,Reign @0.5, where everyone saying how terrible Reigns doing retention wise now?The 100 did far worse retention out of a higher rated leadin.
ReplyDeleteScandal tied TBBT. Impressive. Murder lookin' good too.
ReplyDeleteI thought everyone had established that Reign is not lead-in dependent.
ReplyDeleteMaybe, and maybe next week it'll do better, but still it was way lower than I expected
ReplyDeleteScandal was all kinds of impressive last night.
ReplyDeleteI feel like that happens to a lot of shows. Too confusing for the casual viewer
ReplyDeleteReign proved to be lead-in independant last season when it scored 0.5s out of TVD reruns. The same could be said for The 100 which last season got 0.6-0.5s out of Arrow reruns and during summer.
ReplyDeleteTBBT is really low in my opinion. How is its ratings average compared to last year?
ReplyDeleteGood! My favorite New show!!!!!
ReplyDeleteBy Spottedratings, it has dropped 9% over last year.
ReplyDeleteIs TBBT not the beast it once was?
ReplyDeleteNope.Plenty of people keep saying Vzds the best leadin( which it's not -it's never helped a new show and now VD is fourth on the network and will not Likley see a 1.0 again).
ReplyDeleteI think it is too soon to say that but I imagine the moves around are damaging it a bit.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's been too overexposed.
ReplyDeleteBones :(
ReplyDeleteOn the year ago evening it scored a 5.2, so that means it has dropped quite a lot (-1.1).
ReplyDeleteOn avarage so far it has dropped 9%
Next week may tell us, but so far it looks weakened; still widly migthy, but weakened
ReplyDeleteI think it might have had its peak.
ReplyDeleteI know murder is still doing extremly well but i do not understand why the viviewers get decreasing. IMO it is always getting better. Cannot wait to watch last night's episode since i have nor yet
ReplyDeleteI doubt it goes up. There's going to be more competition when Grey's Anatomy comes back next week.
ReplyDeleteGrey's Anatomy might still be formidable for a 11th year drama airing at 8 p.m. but I don't see it impacting the biggest show on broadcast that much.
ReplyDeleteHTGAWM had a higher rating then elementary and parenthood together. Didn't someone predict that yesterday
ReplyDeleteWell that's about in line with the overall decline of all the networks.
ReplyDeleteIt is. TBBT has peaked but it's still the biggest show on any network.
ReplyDeleteHere are a few questions I made up in case anyone wants to answer them
ReplyDelete1) Does Mom or The Millers belong behind The Big Bang Theory?
2) Do you think networks made the right move by giving shows such as Madam Secretary and Jane the Virgin full seasons?
3) If you could make any move to fix a death slot/night, what would it be, no matter how radical/unrealistic it might sound?
good for the thursday lineup. shonda is one strong woman
ReplyDeleteits still high shonda is a strong woman
ReplyDelete1) i think it really helps mom and it would help the Millers if it was not such a terrible show
ReplyDelete2) maybe for jane but madam is doing okay and has found its audience and has been steady for very long now
3) they need to fix sunday at 10. Revenge does not belong there.
She is. Do you watch any of her shows?
ReplyDeleteYas all my show are good!
ReplyDeleteSeries high for Mom, I know it's because of its lead-in but still.
Reign with the 0.5 makes me smile too. I'm hoping for a 0.6 next.
Scandal is just wow, well deserved.
Little sad for Murder though, those ends always blow my mind. It deserved the same ratings as Scandal but I'm happy with that 2.7
I'm glad I've never read the comments that called TVD the best lead in.
ReplyDeleteI'll be really interested to see the number's when The Blacklist moves. I have no doubt the Scandal soap opera will win out, I just want to see the difference.
ReplyDeleteLOL am so happy i don't comment on tvbythenumbers anymore. SpoilerTV is so much better. Better articles and way less haters and trolls.
ReplyDeleteNOTE:
ReplyDeleteCBS was preempted for NFL Football in New Orleans and Charlotte. The
network's ratings may be inflated and subject to adjustment in the final
ratings.
CBS ratings may be inflated, it was preempted
ReplyDeleteThere is such a huge HTGAWM hater on TVBTN that is insulting tje show right now.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know where to find more exact numbers? i remember someone saying that Reign got 0.45 two weeks ago and i would like to check those exact numbers
ReplyDeleteLikely, deflated in TBBT's case.
ReplyDeleteTry tvseriesfinale
ReplyDeleteThe futon critic has them too, I believe.
ReplyDeleteWell Reign got for both half hours 0.5 so it can't be possible it got 0.45..
ReplyDeleteOf course the numbers could change in the adjusted ratings.
It's a matter of opinion. I don't think it's getting better. I loved the first episode, liked the second and now I just keep watching out of habit. I can imagine the slip comes from people like me who were intrigued when it started and don't like where it's heading.
