    Finally! It was driving me up the wall that nothing had officially been cancelled yet. And maybe it (and Selfie, which will probably run all 13 episodes) will stop dragging down SHIELD with it.

    So, first cancellation. This was one of the shows I was holding off on before I tried to sample it, I figured this would be among the first. Not the best news for Selfie, I'm assuming, but I hope ABC will give it a shot on Wednesdays to see if it can help the Tuesday numbers at all.


    I'm willing to bet now that someone has swung the axe first, someone else is gonna follow suit this weekend.

    This week, Selfie got a 1.1 and MLS got a .7. So Selfie's not doing great, but MLS was definitely worse.

    I don't think ABC will give Selfie any additional sampling outside of Tuesday when the Wednesday shows are practically giving the net its best ratings for the night. It's possible they could air repeats on Fridays if LMS or Cristela (assuming it's given a back order if ratings allow) goes on break.

    back to back? Yeah, that show is dead then, no way a non-syndicated (comedy) show is going to air it's episodes in 1 hour blocks.

    Why would you *hope* for shows to be canceled? That's hundreds of people without a job per show. I'm actually hoping this season has the least amount of canceled shows of the past 10 years. Not that I'm loving all the freshman shows or anything, but still, it would be nice.

    First official casualty. I couldn't go past the trailer so I can't judge, but I found the premise (bubble thoughts narrated as a stream of consciousness) quite annoying. Maybe if they'd stuck to it's original title it wouldn't have misled the audience.

    So, if they're airing Selfie in 2-episode chunks now and don't pull it Selfie will be done in 4 weeks, a good month.


    Any word on how far "Agent Carter" is in terms of shooting? Given them having that Peggy flashback in the season premiere they must have at least started three weeks before fall season started.
    Agent Carter might serve as a solid replacement lead in for AoS?
    They could always reschedule Revenge as well

    Mama June said in a statement that she was denying the reports about her and her ex, claiming they are false. But regardless, Honey Boo Boo should have never been made in the first place.

    I'm into reality shows but not liking the ones when you see kids acting very adult-like (i.e. Toddlers and Tiaras), and not in a Kid Nation kind of way (and I like Kid Nation).

    Selfie repeats will take over MLS' vacated slot. I don't think ABC will double pump on new episodes just yet, maybe if viewership falls to dangerous levels.

    I think ABC learned their lesson last year with airing Wonderland on Thursdays at 8pm instead of using it as a bridge between the fall and spring episodes of OUAT. Carter is also doing 8 episodes, so it gives fans of AOS 30 weeks of new episodes (22 AOS, 8 Carter) instead of repeats or AOS.

    8 episodes? Didn't know that. Sounds awfully low but I guess 8 episodes could suffice as replacement material.


    Guessing that AoS will air 11 episodes and then go on a giant winter hiatus like last season.


    Could imagine AoS going on winter hiatus on dec 2nd, then Agent Carter starting on dec 30th, airing until feb 17th with AoD taking over again from feb 24th until may 5th

    Second Tuesday in January seems way more likely for Agent Carter to start, ABC wont premiere a show between Christmas and New Years. Love the idea of 8 episodes, tell a great story in 8 episodes, and than AOS comes back. ABC can always do 10-13 episodes for season 2 if Carter is a hit.

    generally not a fan of exploitation shows, been involved in way too many "unscripted" productions to know that these are scripted....but very badly, at times there's even a writer penning sequences minutes before shooting.


    The only reality show I ever enjoyed was Capture for it`s quite unique spin, liked that show a lot but other than that reality shows only serve as brilliant fooder for The Soup and Tosh.0 (god bless McHale and Tosh)


    as for Honey Boo Boo, it's just a disgusting way to cash in on a childs life, not on TLCs part though. The decision to make a show is a decision being made by more than one person thus not a indivudual decision. The fact that her mother signed a contract and basically sold her childs future away is just painfull.


    Reality show executives don't need to be charismatic these days, people are throwing themselves at TLC, Lifetime, MTV and others to get their lifes captured on TV.
    It's just sad really, I've always been into writing, shooting, acting and generally everything related to scripted television but reality television just makes me feel...dirty...knowing how much half assed work is pumped into it


    I do however get why people enjoy it

    I liked the lead actress in Manhattan Love story, but I suspected that it would be cancelled soon. The premise wasn't that exciting. Selfie, on the other hand, had a more promising storyline,but the lead characters do nothing for me, (especially the female lead).

    I think it was the better one out of the others (a-z, selfie and Jane the Virgin) but none of these shows have been good this year, very disappointing...hope AOS gets a good lead in to go up in ratings cause it is one of my favourite shows!

    Already ha deleted Selfie and Marry Me from my DVR recording schedule but was going to give MLS another try. It was pretty similar to A to Z so that will probably be next. But Selfie and Marry Me were terrible.

    It's easy entertainment, no matter how many well written characters you have, they're nothing if they're not charismatic. That's why reality TV is so easy: you find charismatic (but dumb) people and exploit them.

    No matter how dumb something is, people with charisma will always have a following.
